What Exactly Is Trump Selling?

trump080515By Bob Livingston. Would you buy a car from Donald Trump?

The car he’s currently hawking is all exterior gloss with shiny wheels. It has no motor, no seats, no interior of any kind.

It looks good sitting there. But is there anything more?

Thus far, Trump’s appeal to potential voters is his opposition to illegal immigration and his ability to make a snarky retort to political punditry and the mindless sophistry of the propaganda media. It’s gotten him great poll numbers.

His platform, best I can tell, is to “build a wall and make Mexico pay for it,” “Mexico and China are killing us,” “make America strong” and “support Israel unconditionally.”

Those are platitudes, sales pitches — nothing more. (Read more from “What Exactly Is Trump Selling?” HERE)

Rush: ‘Orders From GOP Donors to Take out Trump’

By Garth Kant. On Friday, [Rush] Limbaugh began by telling listeners how, on the day of Thursday’s debate, he had learned “that big-time Republican donors had ordered to take out Donald Trump in the debate last night.”

“We all made a mistake,” he explained. “We assumed that the orders went out to the candidates. But the candidates did not make one move toward taking Donald Trump out. The broadcast network did; the candidates didn’t.”

Rush said it was clear that Fox News had it out for Trump when his colleagues refused to pile on, even when given multiple opportunities to bash the front-runner.

“Not one of the remaining nine candidates joined Megyn Kelly in taking the shot at Trump. Not one. Yet we have been told that there were orders from Republican donors to take Trump out.”

If, in addition to targeting Trump, Fox News was indeed looking to get some love and respect from the left and the establishment media with its relentless attacks on Republican candidates in the Thursday night’s debate, it’s mission was accomplished. (Read more from this story HERE)

What’s Happening to All the Animals? Mysterious Fungus Killing Snakes in 9 States; Deer Dropping Dead Around California Lake

By Wilson Ring. Hidden on hillsides in a remote part of western Vermont, a small number of venomous timber rattlesnakes slither among the rocks, but their isolation can’t protect them from a mysterious fungus spreading across the eastern half of the country that threatens to wipe them out.

In less than a decade, the fungus has been identified in at least nine Eastern states, and although it affects a number of species, it’s especially threatening to rattlesnakes that live in small, isolated populations with little genetic diversity, such as those found in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York.

In Illinois the malady threatens the eastern massasauga rattlesnake, which was a candidate for the federal endangered species list even before the fungus appeared. (Read more from “Mysterious Fungus Killing Snakes in 9 States” HERE)

Wildlife Officials Puzzled Why Deer Are Dropping Dead Around Lodi Lake

By Anjali Hemphill. Dead deer have been showing up at a popular hiking area near Lodi Lake.

Four carcasses have been found in just the last two months in a mystery for wildlife officials.

The dead deer have been found in the same general area along a walking trail near Lodi Lake.

Animal services officer Brena DeFazio says four deer carcasses have turned up near Lodi Lake in just the last two months.

“It’s very concerning to us,” she said. “We have not found this many deceased deer in the nature area of Lodi in the time that I’ve been employed there.” (Read more from this story HERE)

According to Poll, Here’s the Amount of People Who Support Religious Liberty

protect relgious freedom signWhen the edict to redefine the institution of marriage and the constitution itself came down from the high benches of the Supreme Court, the response from the GOP establishment was as unequivocal as it was silent. They had no intention of ever fighting for marriage or even religious liberty. The issue was settled. McConnell said that the question of religious liberty must be dealt with in the courts. Now time to move onto Obamatrade and corporate welfare and avoid these thorny “social issues” like the plague.

However, a new poll conducted by Pat Caddell reveals that the public overwhelmingly sides with the principles of religious liberty, especially as it relates to the specific challenges with which Americans of faith are now confronted. “When asked which was more important, by a four to one ratio, voters said protecting religious liberty (31 percent) over protecting gay and lesbian rights (8 percent),” wrote Caddell in a separate memo distilling the results of the poll.

page5 religious freedom poll

Most notably, 82% of the 800 voters sampled believe that individuals should not be coerced to service gay weddings in contravention to their religious beliefs.

page34 religious freedom poll

Notice what a difference an issue poll makes when the question accurately reflects the reality at hand. This is a very fair question and is not designed to net a more “conservative” result.

“Suppose a Christian wedding photographer has deeply held religious beliefs opposing same sex marriage. If a same-sex couple wanted to hire that photographer for their wedding ceremony, should the photographer have the right to say no?”

Clearly, were Republicans to simply frame the messaging on this issue in the context of this question, which is incidentally the reality businesses of faith are confronted with, they would win over 82% of the electorate.

But this is not an outlier poll. Even the AP poll from last month, which asked the question of coercion in a way that made the business owners seem more filled with hostility, showed that 59% would uphold their right to deny service.

Another poll from last month reveals that not all is well on the fundamental transformational home front. When surveyed by the Washington Post whether they are comfortable with the direction of the country on social issues, 64% of voters said they were uncomfortable while only 34% felt comfortable with the recent societal changes. The polarization aspect is even more striking because 45% feel “strongly uncomfortable” while only 14% feel “strongly comfortable” with the changes. Sixty-eight percent of Independents and even 43% of Democrats say they are uncomfortable with the societal transformations.

washington post poll

It’s abundantly clear that the GOP establishment’s political barometer is completely broken. Rather than running away from our founding principles on religious liberty, the GOP candidates would be wise to make religious liberty a centerpiece of their campaigns. A sane Republican Party would introduce civil-rights-style legislation blocking states from coercing individuals to service acts that violate their religious beliefs. Sadly, Republicans have shown since the midterm elections that they are incapable of taking “yes” for an answer from the American people. The Ghettofying of America

downloadAs the Republican presidential candidates jockey for the White House in 2016, President Obama and the Democrats are vying for your house, your neighborhoods and your dreams – all under the guise of “fairness.” Whether it’s at the ballot box, in your neighborhood, or through amnesty, the left is aiming to create a single-party government.

We must choose our next candidate wisely because Democrats are expanding their reach even while we sleep. No need to fall for rhetoric when most of our candidates have records.

While political junkies like myself were salivating with anticipation for the first GOP debate, President Obama and his minions were celebrating, or should I say “milking,” the 50th anniversary of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Just this week, a federal appeals panel in Texas of all places ruled that a voter identification law discriminated against minorities. Why? Because it requires that voters bring a “government-issued” photo ID to the polls. I’m sure all of the new illegal-alien voters in 2016 will be thankful to Texans for providing their food stamps, which of course will require ID for them to receive.

The Department of Justice and “civil rights activists” were concerned that measures taken by Texas to curtail early voting and same-day registration (code for cheating!) and voting would disproportionately affect minorities. If the left seizes Texas, America as we know it is over. This decision by the court could invite federal oversight of Texas voting laws. The Democrats are seeking to eliminate an opposition party. With the influx of illegal aliens, financial backing from the likes of George Soros who funds their court battles and a lack of courage from the GOP to build a wall on our borders, eventually they’ll succeed.

The left is never satisfied! While conservatives were rightfully outraged by the Supreme Court’s decision on gay-marriage and Obamacare over a month ago, their ruling on “disparate impact,” which will allow HUD to move poor people into rich communities, went under radar. Here’s the problem with that ruling: You can take the kid out of the ‘hood but you can’t take the ‘hood out of the kid. It’s hard to maintain success you haven’t yet earned. This is why a home being rented is easily spotted in an otherwise manicured neighborhood. Social engineers have many tools at their disposal, but the ability to plant Democrats in Republican areas without having to gerrymander congressional lines may be the most effective, besides importing “new Democrats” from across our southern border. Aerial Assault Drone Is Armed With Hacking Weapons

Part-WAS-Was8951675-1-1-0Hackers’ arsenal was beefed up with a drone armed with weapons to crack into wireless computer networks at close range, whether they be in skyscrapers or walled compounds.

David Jordan of US-based Aerial Assault was at an infamous Def Con hacker gathering on Sunday, showing off a drone that could be dispatched on missions to land atop buildings or hover outside walls and probe for cracks in computer networks . . .

The drone was equipped with software tools used to perform the kind of “penetration testing” done by hackers or computer security professionals who seek vulnerabilities in computer networks.

As with drones previously launched by hackers, the Aerial Assault model scans for unsecured wireless connections to networks, according to Jordan . . .

Hackers at Def Con early on turned to drones for sniffing out unprotected wireless Internet networks, but capabilities Jordan said were built into the Aerial Assault drone raised the ante with automated tools that could be flown past physical defenses. Who Won the Republican Debate? The Pro-Life Movement, and the Next Baby It Saves

Baby-held-by-mom-and-dad_cropped_compressedA skilled surgeon needs a scalpel, but killers can get by with cudgels. That is because it’s a whole lot easier to smash a skull than to separate conjoined twins. America’s abortion status quo is corrupt and callous, a regime of highly organized crime which lets abortionists legally kill an unborn child through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason, and be massively subsidized by the government to do it. Taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood clinics are strategically planted in poor, non-white neighborhoods across the country, still serving Margaret Sanger’s racist mission of getting “more children from the fit, fewer from the unfit.” More than a million American children have been destroyed each year, every year since 1973. And now we know that Planned Parenthood is selling those dead children to labs to boost its “revenue streams.”

The pro-choice movement defends this annual human sacrifice with blunt, heavy-handed weapons, which it uses to keep control. But those weapons are losing their force, as the prime-time Republican debate resoundingly proves. In fact, the only clear winner of that debate was the pro-life movement.

Abortion’s best defenses are ignorance and apathy. When pro-lifers succeed in getting out truthful information that makes people care — like the videos captured by the Center for Medical Progress — the Abortion Syndicate sends out enforcers with lead-weighted truncheons in the form of gag orders, distortions and lies.

The biggest, heaviest lie that these thugs like to swing around is the charge of “extremism.” Most normal people don’t want to think of themselves as isolated zealots. So if someone is speaking a highly inconvenient truth, the best way to squelch it is not to engage his arguments, but to claim that he’s out there alone, then rouse all the sheep to try to drown him out, ala Animal Farm: “Pro-choice good, pro-life b-a-a-a-a-a-d!”

In the primetime Republican debate, Megyn Kelly of FoxNews tried out this sheep bomb on more than one candidate. She went hardest after America’s most effective pro-life governor, Scott Walker of Wisconsin. In the same style she used to confront Donald Trump for his piggish remarks about women, Kelly confronted Walker with his support for a no-exceptions law protecting all unborn life.

She cited a study suggesting that Walker was out of sync with 83% of Americans. Kelly clearly expected him to backpedal, cave, or flinch, but she must have forgotten who Walker is: The governor who month after month faced down the angry mobs recruited by greedy public employee unions. Walker didn’t blink, but calmly reiterated his support for a blanket protection of every unborn child in America. Then he noted that he had defunded Planned Parenthood four years ago, long before its appalling human organ trafficking business was even exposed, and called out Hillary Clinton as the real extremist for standing behind that violent organization. Walker’s answer was a real profile in courage — and a tribute to the strength and dedication of America’s pro-life movement.

Kelly then turned her fire on Marco Rubio, trying to claw out a “gotcha” moment by quoting New York’s Cardinal Dolan, who criticized pro-life politicians that will not protect unborn children conceived in the course of rape or incest. She assumed that Rubio embraced those broad and easily-abused exceptions, and demanded to know how he would answer the cardinal’s attack. Rubio looked puzzled, and quickly corrected Kelly: He had never endorsed abandoning those unborn children either, and wondered where she had gotten that false impression. He went on later to speak of how future generations will look back on us as “barbarians” for “murdering millions of babies.”

The truth about abortion was running free all through the debate, and the Abortion Syndicate’s soldiers were surely shaking in their jackboots. Ted Cruz was characteristically eloquent and forthright in unfolding his pro-life record. Jeb Bush cited his own consistent pro-life lawmaking, but another questioner pressed him hard for having sat on the board of the Bloomberg Foundation that funded Planned Parenthood. He defended himself, in part, by pointing to Florida funding he had provided to pro-life pregnancy centers. I hope that the hard-working, unpaid volunteers who man (but mostly woman) these front-line emergency wards for mothers with crisis pregnancies take heart from this: A leading candidate running for president wants to wrap himself in your flag. Pause for a moment. Be proud of yourselves.

Mike Huckabee was bold enough to speak of using the 5th and 14th Amendments to correct the ignorant decision of Roe v. Wade, which science has rendered hopelessly outdated. The latest technology has shown us clearly and unmistakably the humanity of the unborn, and the law must catch up with the verdict of modern medicine.

No one asked Rand Paul, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, or John Kasich about abortion, but their pro-life positions are not in doubt. In fact, here at the top-card debate of the leading presidential candidates for the Republican nomination, not a single candidate was willing to call himself pro-choice. At the afternoon debate with the darker-horse contenders, only one Republican, the almost forgotten George Pataki, fessed up to that position — and really, what has he got to lose?

Even Donald Trump had to claim that he had a pro-life conversion. No it wasn’t convincing, but he felt constrained to say it — this man who is blunt enough to violate nearly every tenet of political correctness and even common courtesy. He had to say it.

At this debate, foreign aid to Israel, of all things, was up for dispute between Chris Christie and Rand Paul. But abortion wasn’t. No Republican was willing to embrace the extremist position that favors our current status quo of a million dead babies each year. That tells us something: The hearts and minds of Americans are changing. The truth is out. The thugs are on the run. (Re-posted with permission from the author, “Who Won the Republican Debate? Unedited Video Confirms Planned Parenthood Sells Baby Parts to Create Humanized Mice [+videos]

melissafarrellBy Cheryl Sullenger. Today, the Center for Medical Progress released the full, uncut video of the undercover visit to the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Houston, Texas, that was summarized in the a shorter video released earlier this week.

That longer video contains new revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice.

The full video, which runs for five hours and forty-five minutes, expands on a conversation between Melissa Farrell, Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, and two CMP actors posing as representatives of an organ procurement company. That conversation focused on potential compensation to Planned Parenthood in exchange for fetal remains.

Farrell made it clear that Planned Parenthood had been involved in the selling of aborted baby parts for some time and was very familiar with the use of fetal remains in the production of humanized mice.

She discussed how the Houston affiliate for which she worked was “resistant” to recent efforts by Planned Parenthood Federation of America to standardize fetal tissue sales throughout the participating affiliates because “we’ve been doing our own thing for a long time.” (Read more from “Unedited Video Confirms Planned Parenthood Sells Baby Parts to Create Humanized Mice” HERE)

Planned Parenthood Has Been Selling Body Parts From Aborted Babies for at Least 15 Years

By Matthew Balan. Planned Parenthood and its defenders have constantly played up that the recent undercover videos from the Center for Medical Progress were “highly-edited,” and that producers are “not journalists,” but “violent extremists.” However, one of the Big Three networks aired their own segment on biomedical firms possibly breaking the law to obtain organs from unborn babies.

In 2000, Chris Wallace, then with ABC, revealed on 20/20 that a “hidden camera investigation has found a thriving industry, in which aborted fetuses women donate to help medical research are being marketed for hundreds – even thousands of dollars.”

The main target of the ABC investigation, Dr. Miles Jones, “over lobster bisque and roast duck…explained the business of selling human fetuses” – echoing the first Center for Medical Progress video, where Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical service, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, ate a salad and sipped on wine while discussed the sale of fetal body parts. The network’s report also included a clip from the then-president of the abortion organization, Gloria Feldt, who contended that businesses such as Dr. Jones’s were “totally inappropriate. Where there is wrongdoing, it should be prosecuted; and people who are doing that kind of thing should be brought to justice.”

It should be pointed out that back in 2000, National Right to Life reported that Planned Parenthood actually “supported the harvesting of baby parts for research and had at least one clinic that helped supply aborted babies to firms featured in Wallace’s 20/20 report” – a detail that the Federalist’s Denise C. McAllister pointed out in a July 15, 2015 item. A July 2008 report by CNS News (a division of the Media Research Center) confirmed that Dr. Jones’s firm “held a contract with Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri to dispose of the clinic’s fetal tissue.”

Wallace, who is now with Fox News (and mentioned his 2000 report on the July 19, 2015 edition of Fox News Sunday), began his segment with the account of Cindy Smith, who donated the bodies of her unborn twins after they were gravely affected by her radiation treatment for cancer. The bodies ended up in the hands of Dr. Jones, who “would be making money off her twins.” (Read more from this story HERE)

CULTURAL IMPLOSION: National Chain Removing All Gender Labels From Kids Sections; Gender-Bending Now the Norm for American-Inspired Fashion

downloadBy Shannon Pettypiece. Target Corp. is removing gender labels from most of its children’s departments after customers complained about signs designating certain toys for girls.

The kids’ bedding section will no longer feature boy and girl signage, and the toy department will be without labels and pink or blue paper on the shelves, Minneapolis-based Target said on its website Friday. Gender labels will remain in the kids’ clothing section because of sizing and fit differences.

Retailers have been moving away from gender stereotypes, and some startups have emerged to break down the divide in kids’ clothing and toys. The signage that sparked the dispute at Target was for building sets, like GoldieBlox, that are targeted at girls. Gender-Bending Fashion Now the Norm on the Runway

By Nic Screws. In January, Gucci’s menswear runway collection was an eye-opener. It wasn’t because the brand had just fired its nearly decadelong creative director Frida Giannini in December, or even because new designer Alessandro Michele had pulled the clothing together in less than a week in his new role.

It was because the men on the runway looked … like women.

In fact, some of them were women—an increasing trend in menswear shows. Models of both genders—waifish male models and boyish female models alike—were wearing silhouettes, fabrications, and items of clothing that traditionally appear in womenswear collections. Michele’s deliberately ambiguous outfits featured massive pussycat bow blouses, shrunken jackets, and low-slung, wide-leg trousers—on willowy models with matching soft features and lengthy, undone hair.

And just like that, this change in creative direction became symbolic of an industrywide trend—and Michele the movement’s unofficial leader. A shift toward androgyny has been building over the past two years, and with Gucci’s new experimental take, it has hit its stride. (It’s worth noting that the recently slumping Gucci just reported its first sales growth in two years, a 4.6 percent increase for the second quarter of 2015—up from a 7.9 percent decrease in the first quarter.)

Gender-bending is nothing new in fashion or pop culture. But in large-scale, high-end fashion, the theme has not been conveyed as loudly or as frequently since, well, a young Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Marc Bolan toyed with feminized looks in the late 1960s. But today, thanks to a troupe of contemporary designers—such as Rick Owens and J.W. Anderson—this theme of gender-neutral dress has been reimagined.

Fox News Couldn’t Kill Trump’s Momentum and May Have Only Made It Stronger [+video]

downloadBy Joshua Green. A few hours before Thursday’s Fox News debate, a friend of Donald Trump’s confided to me that Trump was nervous. Not about the competition—he could handle them. No, Trump worried about Fox News, and in particular, debate moderator Megyn Kelly. She’d been hammering him all week on her show, and he was certain she was out to get him. He’d canceled a Fox News appearance on Monday night, the friend said, in order to avoid her. (Trump’s spokeswoman wouldn’t confirm or deny this.)

It turns out Trump was right. His toughest opponents Thursday night weren’t the candidates up on stage, but the Fox News moderators, who went right after him—none with more gusto than Kelly.

Kelly, the whip-smart queen of Fox News’ blonde stunners, went straight for the jugular. “You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” she admonished Trump. “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”

But Trump saw her coming a mile away and cut her off. “Only Rosie O’Donnell,” he barked, drawing cheers from the crowd. When Kelly tried to point out that he had insulted more women than O’Donnell, Trump, as he would all night, steamrolled right past her. “The big problem this country has is being politically correct,” Trump practically shouted, invoking conservatives’ favorite term of disdain. “I’ve been challenged by so many people and I don’t frankly have time for total political correctness and to be honest with you this country doesn’t have time either.” The crowd went wild.

Maybe they were cheering because the question was apropos of something Rachel Maddow would ask, and they were, after all, Republicans. But I think they were cheering because it was clear, at that moment, that Trump was going to be Trump, and wasn’t going to heed the pundits and phonies to tone down his act. According to a report in New York magazine, even his own daughter, Ivanka, was making that case. (Read more from “Fox News Couldn’t Kill Trump’s Momentum and May Have Only Made It Stronger” HERE)

Trump Slams Fox News, Praises Drudge

By Elliot Smilowitz. Donald Trump thinks reader polls on Drudge Report and Time Magazine should carry more weight in judging public reaction to Thursday’s GOP presidential debate than a Fox News panel that ran immediately after the debate.

Speaking with Don Lemon live on CNN on Friday night, Trump lauded his winning performance in reader polls asking who won the debate, particularly the poll run by Drudge Report.

“I’m not saying I won, I’m just telling you polls that came out from Drudge,” he said. “What’s better than Drudge? He’s a fantastic guy. What he’s built is unbelievably respected.”

The Drudge Report poll asked readers who won the debate. Trump led with 45 percent of the vote. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) came in second with 14 percent, and no other candidate had more than 11 percent support.

Trump also cited coverage by Time Magazine, the New York Times and the Washington Post that he said showed him as the victor. (Read more from this story HERE)

Tennessee Lesbian Couple Faked Hate Crime and Destroyed Own Home With Arson for This

arson6n-2-web[Editor’s note: the story about Craig James follows below] By Nicole Hensley. A lesbian couple faked a hate crime that left their home a pile of charred rubble at their Venore, Tenn., property in 2010, local reports said.

An insurance company caught on to the ruse months after the blaze and accused Carol Ann and Laura Stutte of perpetuating a hoax and blaming the fire on their neighbor, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported.

A federal jury ruled in favor of the insurance company’s belief that the couple spray-painted an anti-gay slur on their own garage to spin the fire as a hate crime based on their sexual orientation.

The homeowners intended to bank on an insurance claim of more than $276,000, American National and Casulty Company alleged in court documents obtained by the News Sentinel.

The target of their stunt was Janice Millsaps, a neighbor whom the Stuttes accused in news reports and a lawsuit of threatening to kill them and burn their house down. (Read more from “Tennessee Lesbian Couple Faked Hate Crime and Destroyed Own Home With Arson for This” HERE)

Sports Analyst Craig James Claims Religious Discrimination

Craig James Senate ImageBy Baptist Press Staff. College football analyst Craig James filed a religious discrimination lawsuit against Fox Sports, alleging he was fired from a broadcasting position because of his Christian belief that homosexuality is sinful.

“This case is much bigger than me,” James said in a public statement from Liberty Institute, the Christian legal organization representing him. “It affects every person who holds religious beliefs. I will not let Fox Sports trample my religious liberty.

“Today, many people have lost their jobs because of their faith. Sadly, countless are afraid to let their bosses know they even have a faith. This is America, and I intend to make sure Fox Sports knows they aren’t above the law.”

After being hired by Fox Sports Southwest in 2013, James, a former NFL running back, worked one game and then was fired. A redacted copy of the lawsuit posted online by Liberty Institute states, “When James asked, defendants identified one—and only one—reason for terminating James: his beliefs about marriage, which are explicitly religious in nature” . . .

In response to James’ firing, a Fox Sports spokesman told the Dallas Morning News in 2013: “We just asked ourselves how Craig’s statements (about homosexuality) would play in our human resources department. He couldn’t say those things here.” (Read more from this story HERE)
