Horrifying: Former Abortionist Uses Medical Animations to Show What Happens to Baby and Mother During Abortion

Photo Credit: BreitbartPro-life organization Live Action is showing a video series in which a former abortionist uses medical animations to reveal the harsh reality of abortion for both mother and baby.

The group’s goal is to cut through the pro-abortion rhetoric that speaks of “tissue masses,” “clumps of cells,” and “products of conception,” especially at a time when abortion has become a major issue in the 2016 election.

The video below features former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino – who performed more than 1,200 abortions – using accurate medical depictions of what happens during the abortion procedure. No graphic photos of real babies are used in the series.

“I’d like to challenge the abortion lobby – Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and the rest – to respond to these videos,” Lila Rose said during a web conference for media Tuesday. “After seeing the videos, most people would have a difficult time telling a woman that abortion is ‘health care’ or ‘empowering,’”

Rose, president of Live Action, said her group’s nine years of video investigations have led to the realization that most of the general public is uninformed about what happens during an abortion. New York Times Columnist Jokes About Trump Assassination

A columnist with the New York Times caused a social media stir with a tweet that joked of billionaire businessman and GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s assassination.

“Good news guys,” wrote Ross Douthat in his tweet, as found by Infowars.com. “I’ve figure out how the Trump campaign ends” . . .

He then included a link to a YouTube video of the 1983 movie, “The Dead Zone,” a flick that features Christopher Walken as a character who tries to shoot to death a politician played by Martin Sheen. Sheen’s character uses a human baby to shield himself from the assassination attempt.

Twitter users were quick to respond to Douthat.

Why US Attorney General Eric Holder Used Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Birth Name as His Official Email Address

Former US Attorney General Eric Holder is a huge fan of NBA hall of famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

So much so that Holder used Abdul-Jabbar’s birth name, Lew Alcindor, as an alias for his official Department of Justice (DOJ) email account, raising more questions about the email practices of top Obama administration officials, and about the ability of US government agencies to track down correspondence in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

The Lew Alcindor revelation was made in a February 16 letter that DOJ sent to VICE News and Ryan Shapiro, a historian and doctoral candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who specializes in national security research . . .

The letter was part of about 500 pages of heavily redacted emails and other documents given to VICE News and Shapiro in response to a FOIA lawsuit filed in late 2014. The documents show that Justice Department officials sent emails to Lew Alcindor regarding calls from lawmakers for a federal investigation into claims that CIA personnel spied on Senate staffers while the Senate was drafting a report about the CIA’s torture program. Holder’s name does not appear anywhere in his Lew Alcindor email account. Watch: Protesters Threaten Conservative Student Group Over Pro-Life Flyers

Gettysburg College has established a “bias response team” after the Black Student Union threatened to hold a pro-life group accountable if the university ignored their demands.

The protest was organized in response to students in the school’s Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapter who distributed flyers on campus promoting pro-life ideals. One of the posters displayed a picture of a black child with the words “Let’s talk about race… Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States #blacklivesmatter.”

Protesters gathered Tuesday afternoon in a university common area, standing on top of desks and tables, speaking one by one in retaliation of YAF’s demonstration . . .

Protesters argued that the statistics presented by YAF, which claimed that black women have more abortions because of an unequal access to healthcare, were false and inaccurate.

“She was taught from young age that her blackness does not belong to her, that she must shrink herself inward and make room for them to enter; break into her. But they will not shipwreck the wild geography of her body, YAF will not shipwreck the wild geography of her body. Her name is black woman and if you get close enough, you can almost taste the blood from centuries of forced entries of bastard babies, but YAF is too busy trying to kick what has already been beaten. Maybe black woman should nail herself to her dart board just to give YAF the opportunity to aim somewhere other than her heart,” one protester shouted through the speakers in the school’s common area. Proposed Bills Would Force Alaska Pharmacists and Insurers to Supply Abortion-Causing Contraceptives

In the Alaska State Legislature, Democratic State Senator Berta Gardner has introduced two controversial bills to allow pharmacists in Alaska to dispense – without a doctor’s prescription – self-administered hormonal contraceptives, and to force health care insurers in the state to cover contraceptives, sterilizations and contraceptive procedures and devices – including those that cause abortion.

PHARMACIST MANDATE

Sen. Gardner’s Senate Bill 169 would allow pharmacists to dispense – without a doctor’s prescription – self-administered hormonal contraceptives as listed by the federal Food and Drug Administration. Those include the Pill and so-called “emergency contraception,” which can cause an early abortion of a living human embryo by inhibiting his or her implantation in the womb.

Moreover, SB 169 would mandate Alaska’s state Board of Pharmacy to develop a pharmacists’ “training program” on prescribing those hormonal contraceptives and counseling “patients” on “all contraceptive methods,” including long-acting reversible contraception, such as abortion-causing IUDs.

RIFE WITH CONCERNS

There are numerous concerns surrounding the pharmacist-prescribed contraceptives bill.

The bill does not only allow, but could force pharmacists to dispense – without a doctor’s prescription – and to recommend contraceptives. Senate Bill 169 does not contain any conscience protections to allow pharmacists for ethical or moral reasons to refuse prescribing or counseling for contraceptives, including abortion-causing drugs – or to opt out of the state board’s training program.

Moreover, the bill would have pharmacists prescribe and dispense strong-acting, hormone-based contraceptive drugs to patients who have not first undergone a basic consultation or clinical breast or pelvic exam by their primary care practitioner. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) stresses that “individuals should consult their health care providers” before choosing a particular method of contraception. Such conversations and exams can reveal underlying medical conditions and family histories that would make certain drugs especially dangerous to the individual. For instance, the NIH explains the use of combined oral contraceptive pills – such as the Pill – which contain various combinations of strong synthetic estrogens and progestins, is “not recommended” for women in certain circumstances, including those with a history of blood clots or a history of breast, liver or endometrial cancer. The use of combined oral contraceptive pills is linked to the development of deadly blood clots.

Senate Bill 169 would require a pharmacist to receive a “self-screening assessment tool” from the patient before dispensing the hormonal contraception, but the bill does not require the patient to have first seen her health care practitioner, as she would before accessing similarly potent drugs from the pharmacy. In fact, the bill even prohibits the pharmacist from requiring a patient to schedule an appointment with him or her before receiving the drugs.

The bill would require pharmacists to dispense hormonal contraceptives to a “patient” but the bill does not identify a minimum age for patients. So it is unclear whether pharmacists would have to dispense prescription contraceptives to 14-year-old girls on demand; the bill does not require pharmacists to first notify or obtain consent from a girl’s parent. Moreover, it’s not clear how the pharmacist could secure health background information from a young patient who cannot assess her own health or recall family health history – or how the girl could manage serious possible side-effects of the Pill like high blood pressure and heart attack.

FORCING HEALTH CARE INSURERS

Another bill sponsored by Sen. Gardner – SB 156 – would force health care insurers operating in the state to provide coverage for the “full range” of prescription and over-the-counter contraceptives, sterilizations and contraceptive-focused exams, “procedures and medical services.” Health care insurers would be forced to cover the contraceptive Pill, so-called “emergency contraception” and IUDs (inserted in outpatient procedures) – all of which can cause early abortions of living human embryos.

The bill has a narrow exemption for some health care insurers that provide an insurance plan to an objecting “religious” employer, namely a church, an association of churches, the “exclusively religious activities” of any religious order, or a non-profit religious organization that objects and has “self-certified” as such with the federal Department of Labor or has provided notice to the effect to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

This could leave out various organizations, including religious orders or religiously-affiliated organizations with a focus on social services that aren’t officially “religious” activities. Moreover, the bill would force health care insurers to cover contraceptives when they provide insurance plans to non-religious, for-profit businesses or non-profit organizations that aren’t officially “religious” but oppose covering contraceptives and abortifacients for religious or ethical reasons.

In addition, SB 156 prohibits health care insurers from requiring copayments, deductibles or other forms of cost sharing to offset the costs of covering contraceptives. But the bill does not prohibit insurers from raising the prices of insurance plan premiums – including of objecting and exempt organizations – to pay for the abortifacient contraceptives provided to others.

CATHOLIC TEACHING

From the first century the Catholic Church has affirmed the moral evil of procured abortion. “Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law,” explains the Catholic Catechism.

Moreover, Christianity has always recognized that the marital act has a two-fold purpose — to foster loving unity between spouses and to produce children. Each time a couple rejects the life-creating nature through contraception, that falsifies “the inner truth of conjugal love, which is called upon to give itself in personal totality,” Saint Pope John Paul II explained in his 1981 apostolic exhortation, Familiaris Consortio.

The Catholic Catechism notes that for just reasons spouses may wish to space the births of their children, while respecting God’s design for human sexuality. The church supports Natural Family Planning, morally sound methods to achieve and avoid pregnancies. NFP is based on a woman’s observations of the naturally occurring signs of the fertile and infertile phases that God built into the menstrual cycle.

Huckabee Just Revealed the One and ONLY Way Trump Won’t Be President

By Mike Huckabee. After Tuesday’s Nevada Caucuses, the opera may not be over, but the fat lady is clearing her throat.

Donald Trump’s 45.9% total in Nevada was larger than Cruz’s and Rubio’s put together. It was also his third straight win, and in states that couldn’t be more diverse, culturally, politically and geographically. Next week brings us Super Tuesday. If any candidate is going to derail the Trump super-train, it needs to happen then. One complication: polls show him leading everywhere but Texas.

Many establishment Republicans still cling to the slender hope that Trump has reached his ceiling; and if only all the other candidates but one would fall on their swords and quit, all their supporters would flock to the last non-Trumpian man standing. Sorry, but that’s a pipe dream . . .

Blasting Trump for not being a consistent conservative also won’t dissuade his supporters. It’s as simple as the old saying: “When you point a finger at someone else, three fingers are pointing back at you.” Trump’s supporters have heard for years that they had to vote for “consistent philosophical conservatives” if they wanted to shrink government, reduce spending, secure the borders and stop Obama’s leftist agenda. They gave the GOP both Houses of Congress, and what did they get in return? Obama’s Iran nuclear deal and a budget that funds every item on the Obama wish list.

It’s now obvious that name-calling and badgering candidates to quit will not work. At this point, there is only one way for any other candidate to beat Trump. It’s the same way a Republican will have to defeat the Democrat in November: by doing a better job of convincing voters that he’s heard their concerns and will act on them. Donald Trump Keeps Winning. Here’s What Could Make Him Lose.

By Alexander Burns. Donald J. Trump has snatched three straight victories, built a powerful lead in national polls and knocked several opponents out of the 2016 presidential race. His path to the Republican nomination looks wider than ever. But it could still contain pitfalls and roadblocks. Here are some of the ways he could still stumble . . .

In a race that began with 17 candidates, Mr. Trump has benefited from deftly playing his opponents against one another. With four left, he can still control the race with far less than a majority of the vote.

Neither Senator Marco Rubio of Florida nor Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is likely to give way willingly, or join forces with the other. And two long-shot candidates would still snarl efforts to unite the anti-Trump vote: Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and Ben Carson have plodded on despite their slim chances. But should the field suddenly dwindle to one or two rivals of Mr. Trump, perhaps after Super Tuesday, it would test the breadth of his support as never before . . .

The stage may get even tougher for him starting Thursday night in Houston: He can no longer count on a large field of opponents to shield him from a formidable puncher like Mr. Cruz, or from Mr. Rubio, who is also seeking to break through. Judge Orders That Hillary Clinton Give Sworn Testimony About Her Private Email Server

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that State Department officials and top aides to Hillary Clinton should be questioned under oath about whether they intentionally thwarted federal open records laws by using or allowing the use of a private email server throughout Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

The decision by U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of Washington came in a lawsuit over public records brought by Judicial Watch, a conservative legal watchdog group, regarding its May 2013 request for information about the employment arrangement of Huma Abedin, a longtime Clinton aide.

Officials with the State and Justice departments said that they were aware of the order but declined to comment further, citing the ongoing litigation. Discovery orders are not readily appealable. An attorney for Abedin declined to comment.

Sullivan set an April 12 deadline for parties to litigate a detailed investigative plan–subject to court approval–that would reach well beyond the limited and carefully worded explanations of the use of the private server that department and Clinton officials have given. Attacks on Christians in U.S. Double in 3 Years

Hostility toward religion in America has expanded dramatically in recent years, with florists targeted, bakers punished, nuns coerced and even retail companies facing discrimination for their faith, according to a new report from First Liberty Institute.

The new report, titled “Undeniable: The Survey of Hostility to Religion in America,” reveals a list that admittedly is not exhaustive but still totals 1,285 cases at the start of this year.

“These cases … show a clear expansion during this past year,” the report said. “Quantitatively and qualitatively, the hostility is undeniable. And it is dangerous.”

Kelly Shackelford, the chief counsel for First Liberty, explained that “hostility to religion in America is rising like floodwaters.”

“This flood is engulfing ordinary citizens who simply try to live normal lives according to their faith and conscience. It is eroding the bedrock on which stand vital American institutions such as government, education, the military, business, houses of worship, and charity. It has the potential to wash away the ground that supports our other rights, including freedom of speech, press, assembly, and government by consent of the people.” (Read more from “Attacks on Christians in U.S. Double in 3 Years” HERE)

Ammon Bundy, Others Plead Not Guilty in Oregon Refuge Case

Ammon Bundy and another 15 defendants pleaded not guilty Wednesday to federal conspiracy charge related to 41-day occupation of an Oregon wildlife refuge. Several of the accused, however, expressed doubt that they enjoy the presumption of innocence.

Bundy sat at the main defense table while most of his co-defendants sat in the jury box as they listened to a government prosecutor read the indictment and U.S. District Judge Anna Brown tell them their rights.

Brown reminded the defendants that they are considered innocent until proven guilty. One by one, she asked them if they understood. Bundy simply said “yes,” but four co-defendants took the opportunity to express doubt. (Read more from “Ammon Bundy, Others Plead Not Guilty in Oregon Refuge Case” HERE)

Ben Carson Says This Is the Way to Get Information From Terror Suspects

Ben Carson offered a way to enhance the country’s methods of interrogating suspected terrorists: using “medical ways” to put people in a “less-than-conscious state.”

“I believe there are a number of ways to extract information,” Carson told CNN’s Poppy Harlow on “CNN Newsroom” Tuesday afternoon. “An average person might understand it as ‘truth serum’ — there are ways where you decrease a person’s conscious defenses, and they might be much more willing to give up information.”

Carson, a world-renowned neurosurgeon, pointed to a specific treatment that could be used: sodium amytal. The drug was used during World War II to treat soldiers for anxiety or trauma, though its usefulness as a truth-inducing treatment is debatable.
