In response to PayPal’s decision to not open an operations center in Charlotte, N.C. that would employ 400 people because of the state’s new law requiring people to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their biological gender, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest said if the new law protects one child or one woman “from being molested or assaulted, then it was worth it.” He added that despite the job losses, North Carolina does not put “a price tag on the value of our children.”
“If our action in keeping men out of women’s bathrooms and showers protected the life of just one child or one woman from being molested or assaulted, then it was worth it,” said Lt. Gov. Forest in a statement following PayPal’s announcement on April 5.
“North Carolina will never put a price tag on the value of our children,” he said. “They are precious and priceless.”
“If a corporation wanting to do business in North Carolina does not see the worth of our children in the same light, then I wish them well as they do business somewhere else.”
PayPal is a pro-LGBT company, and in an April 5 statement, CEO Dan Schulman said the North Carolina law “perpetuates discrimination and it violates the values and principles that are at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated a report last week illustrating on U.S. maps that the two mosquitoes with the potential to transmit the Zika virus, as well as other viruses such as dengue and chikungunya, could inhabit areas this summer that include parts of all but ten states in the United States.
The report on Zika and pregnancy also states: “Mosquitoes are the deadliest animals in the world because of the diseases they spread.” (but see recent article debunking the pregnancy defect link HERE)
Much of U.S. territory–from California to Virginia to Maine–is in the potential range of the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, which have the potential to transmit the Zika virus. Of the two, the CDC says, the Aedes aegypti mosquitos are the “more likely to spread viruses.”
The CDC also verified to CNSNews.com via email that the map of potential exposure includes all but 10 states in the United States.
Only Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, and Utah are outside the potential range of both of these mosquitoes. By Gerry Urbanek. According to a new report, Republican front-runner Donald Trump privately met with nearly a dozen special interest groups during a meeting in Washington, D.C., last week.
The New York Times reported that Trump met with a variety of individuals, including special interest representatives, lobbyists, and the chief executive of a major airline trade organization.
Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, told the New York Times that the meeting was arranged by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), who invited people he has “great respect” for.
According to Hicks, “Mr. Trump didn’t know them, but it was a brief meeting that took place right after the lengthy foreign policy team meeting.” The meeting occurred last Thursday at the Old Post Office Pavilion in Washington.
The Times reported that Nicholas E. Calio — who worked for President George H.W. Bush in legislative affairs and as a former lobbyist — was one of the members present at the meeting. Calio serves as the chief executive for Airlines for America, a large air travel trade organization. Trump huddled with a range of individuals, including a veteran lobbyist and the chief executive of a major airline trade organization, The New York Times reported . . .

For the first time in the Republican primary, Reuters’ tracking poll shows Texas Sen. Ted Cruz leading Donald Trump among likely voters in the Republican primaries.
This is also the first time Donald Trump hasn’t led the tracking poll in 2016.
Cruz has the support of 39 percent of likely Republican voters nationwide, just ahead of Donald Trump, who has 37 percent support. Ohio Governor John Kasich is a distant third, with 23 percent support.
In the broader survey of all Republicans, rather than likely voters, Trump still has a four-point lead. This, however, is sharply down from the 28-point lead he enjoyed in the middle of March . . .
The Reuters tracking poll is based on a five-day rolling average of results. Each day, a new round of daily interviews are added to the tracking poll, while older interviews are dropped from the tracking poll. As a result, there can be daily blips in the poll. US lawmakers are questioning the Obama administration’s commitments to Congress over the Iran nuclear deal and its numerous guarantees that the Islamic Republic would not be granted extra concessions for signing it, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
Over the course of the last year, administration officials confirmed in Congressional testimony that the Iranian regime would not gain access to the US financial system and missile technology under the terms of the nuclear agreement. In one such instance, Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury Adam Szubin assured lawmakers in September that Iran would not be given the opportunity “to execute a dollarized transaction where a split second’s worth of business is done in a New York clearing bank.”
In March, however, the Associated Press reported that the Obama administration was contemplating “easing financial restrictions that prohibit US dollars from being used in transactions with Iran,” which is currently outlawed. This change in policy would result in a significant boost to Iran’s hard-hit economy.
US lawmakers on both sides of the aisle expressed their outrage over the president’s alleged policy backtrack, the report said, adding that Obama “promised to maintain a strict ban on dollars along with other non-nuclear penalties on Iran.” Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) wrote in a letter to the president that allowing Iran access to the dollar “is clearly not required” by the terms set forth in the nuclear agreement. In a statement, House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WA) called the reports “deeply concerning,” and said, “The president should abandon this idea.”
In a second policy shift, Reuters reported, Washington has ceased referring to Iran’s ballistic-missile launches as a “violation” of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which codifies the nuclear deal. In March, Iran test-fired a missile capable of carrying a nuclear payload, the report said, and US, British, French and German officials called this “inconsistent with” and “in defiance” of the resolution. CNN host Carol Costello abruptly ended a segment Tuesday after a guest brought up Hillary Clinton’s 1975 legal defense of an accused child rapist.
Appearing on “CNN Newsroom With Carol Costello” on Tuesday, Newsmax’s Steve Malzberg, who supports Donald Trump said, “When you get one-on-one, especially if it’s Hillary, Donald Trump will go places nobody is willing to go — where the media at this point isn’t willing to go: Bringing up Clinton’s women who say they were intimidated by Hillary. Having them come forward and speak. A litany of issues that you can’t even imagine.”
Costello then interrupted, “I’m thinking that might not be a winning argument for Donald Trump right at this moment” . . .
“How many derogatory things has he said about women? His negatives among women are 75 percent right now,” Phillips claimed. Trump is “not going to make that up. There is no way that he can win.”

#2 Factory orders have now reached the lowest level that we have seen since the summer of 2011.
#3 It is being projected that corporate earnings will be down 8.5 percent for the first quarter of 2016 compared to one year ago. This will be the fourth quarter in a row that we have seen year over year declines, and the last time that happened was during the last recession.
#4 Total business sales have fallen 5 percent since the peak in mid-2014.
#5 S&P 500 earnings have now fallen a total of 18.5 percent from their peak in late 2014.
#6 Corporate debt defaults have soared to the highest level that we have seen since 2009.

Shale oil driller SandRidge Energy (SD) warned there was “substantial doubt” it would survive the oil downturn. The Oklahoma City company said this week it is exploring a potential Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Based on its $3.6 billion of debt, SandRidge would be the biggest North American oil-focused company to go bust during the current downturn, according to a CNNMoney analysis of stats compiled by law firm Haynes and Boone.

How in the world can anyone look at those numbers and suggest that everything is okay?
I simply do not understand how that could be possible.
Part of the problem is that Americans have been trained to be irrationally optimistic. It is fine to have an optimistic outlook on life, but when it causes you to throw logic and reason out the window that is not good.
For example, you can be “optimistic” about your ability to fly all you want, but if you step off a 10 story building you are going to take a very hard fall to the ground.
Similarly, you can ignore all of the facts and pretend that our economic prosperity is sustainable all you want, but it won’t change the fundamental laws of economics.
On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone that has helped make my new book the #1 new release in Christian eschatology on Amazon.com. I understand that a lot of my secular readers are not going to understand my fascination with Bible prophecy, and that is okay. I felt that I needed to write this book to address some very serious errors that are being taught in churches all over America today, and I also wanted to inspire believers to face the great hardships and persecution that are coming.
Just because very difficult times are approaching does not mean that it will be time to run and hide. My wife and I always live our lives with no fear, and when things get crazy we believe that it will be an opportunity to do even more good. We believe that the greatest chapters of our lives are still ahead of us, and we want people to understand why they can look forward to the future even though great darkness is rising all around us.
So yes, I definitely carry a message of warning.
But I also bring a message of hope.
As we look toward the future, there is much to be concerned about, but there are also things happening that are worth getting extremely excited about.

Its king, Belshazzar, was having a big party drinking and boasting with his wives, his mistresses, and his nobles. While they were partying, the hand of God appeared and wrote a message on the wall, terrifying everyone including King Belshazzar. He face grew pale and his knees went weak. Daniel is called in to interpret the handwriting which says three things: “Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end. Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”
