Satellite Image of Red River Nile Evokes Biblical Story

A newly released satellite image of Egypt’s Nile river shows the river colored deep red, bringing to mind the biblical first plague in which the waters of the great river turned to blood.

But, this time at least, it is not the wrath of god that is responsible for the river’s crimson hue: The European Space Agency’s Sentinel-3A satellite, which took the picture, uses a radiometer to measure infrared energy . . .

The heat radiated by vegetation around the river is therefore responsible for the red color.

The satellite, launched in February, is designed to monitor environmental changes. It is the third of more than a dozen “eyes in the sky” that make up the Copernicus program, which the ESA describes as the most sophisticated Earth observation system ever launched. This Big Rumor Is Circulating About Rubio’s Next Career–It’s the Last Thing You’d Expect

When Sen. Marco Rubio chose to run for Republican presidential nomination, one of his campaign promises was that he would not seek another term as a U.S. senator from Florida.

Rubio’s campaign got off to a great start, but when the one-time senator lost the primary in his home state to billionaire Donald Trump, he apparently saw the writing on the wall and suspended his campaign for president.

Some may have wondered in what direction Rubio’s career would take him post-race. According to the New York Post, rumors were circulating he would join the Miami Dolphins in an executive role for the team . . .

Citing insiders within the Rubio campaign, the Post reports Rubio is still considering another White House bid in 2020, all the while lobbying to keep the delegates he won in 21 different states, asking delegates not to release them to the three remaining candidates.

With the possibility of an open GOP convention, Rubio is still active behind the scenes. The Post acquired a letter written to the Alaska Republican Party. In it Rubio reportedly wrote, “It is my desire at this time that the delegates allocated to me by your rules remain bound to vote for me on at least the first nominating ballot at the National Convention.” (Read more from “This Big Rumor Is Circulating About Rubio’s Next Career–It’s the Last Thing You’d Expect” HERE)

State Dept. Just Made Massive Announcement About Hillary’s Email Investigation

The State Department has stopped an internal investigation into former Secretary Clinton, giving way to the FBI’s ongoing investigation of Democratic presidential candidate.

State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said Friday that the FBI suggested last month that the State Department has ceased its review of several highly confidential emails in order to let the broader FBI investigation into Clinton’s emails go forward.

“While the ongoing law enforcement investigation is taking place, our internal review is on hold, pending the completion of that. We do not want our internal review to complicate or impede the progress of their ongoing law enforcement investigation,” Trudeau said, calling the decision “standard procedure.”

The State Department had been reviewing 22 emails that carried the highest level of secrecy and had not been made public in any form. The State Department review was designed to determine whether the emails contained classified information at the time they were sent, or whether the information became classified after the fact. Clinton’s defenders have said any classified information in her emails was made so after she sent them. Her opponents say Clinton would have known the information was sensetive, regardless if the documents were marked as “classified” at the time they were sent or not.

Asked at a press briefing if the State Department’s action should be taken as “a sign that the administration thinks that the laws may have been broken,” Trudeau said. “I wouldn’t read anything into it.” (Read more from “State Dept. What Trump Just Said About Abortion Will Outrage Many Conservatives

Two days after GOP presidential contender Donald Trump caused a firestorm after walking back his statement that women who have illegal abortions should receive some form of “punishment,” he said during another interview that abortion “laws are set,” and they should be left that way until changed.

In an interview on CBS’ Face the Nation – the broadcast of which will be aired on Sunday – Trump again attempted to clarify his views to moderator John Dickerson.

When asked by Dickerson – from a pro-abortion perspective — “What would you do to further restrict access to abortion?” Trump responded, “The laws are set now on abortion and that’s the way they’re going to remain until they’re changed.”

“A question was asked to me. And it was asked in a very hypothetical,” Trump explained about his prior MSNBC interview with Chris Matthews. “And it was said, ‘Illegal, illegal.’ I’ve been told by some people that was an older line answer and that was an answer that was given on a, you know, basis of an older line from years ago on a very conservative basis.”

When Dickerson mentioned a prior Bloomberg interview during which Trump reportedly said he believed abortion should be banned after a certain point in pregnancy, Trump replied, “I would’ve preferred states’ rights. I think it would’ve been better if it were up to the states. But right now, the laws are set….At this moment, the laws are set. And I think we have to leave it that way.” (Read more from “What Trump Just Said About Abortion Will Outrage Some Conservatives” HERE)

Sarah Palin Just Gave Another Big Update on Her Husband Todd

Less than three weeks after a severe snowmobile crash which sent her husband to the hospital, Sarah Palin posted an update on her husband’s condition to Facebook.

She began by saying, “So grateful for your prayers and support during Todd’s recovery! He’s in a good place – on the couch – insisting if there’s any good season for injury, it’s now.”

So grateful for your prayers and support during Todd’s recovery! He’s in a good place – on the couch – insisting if…

Posted by Sarah Palin on Thursday, March 31, 2016

In the post, Palin said NCAA March Madness and catching up on episodes of Deadliest Catch and Bering Sea Gold have been a great distraction for him, as well as awesome motivational therapy . . .

She continued, saying the kindness that has been shown during the days since the crash has greatly touched Todd.

He agreed, saying, “It’s overwhelming and I’m not worthy of these well-wishes. I wish I could repay people for caring. Makes me want to do more for others, especially when they’re down and out. Maybe that’s part of the purpose in all this.”

In an expression of his gratitude for the support and encouragement received, Todd Palin said, “I can’t thank you guys enough. The past few weeks showed us it’s not just family circling the wagons; I don’t think we’d ever realized that before. People out there who are hurting a hundred times worse than I was can use our prayers and any kind gesture. Maybe I can only repay by offering the same to you.” (Read more from “Sarah Palin Just Gave Another Big Update on Her Husband Todd” HERE)

California Man Dressed as Woman Busted for Videoing in Ladies Bathroom

A Palmdale, California, man wearing women’s clothing was arrested in a Lancaster Macy’s store after he was seen in a women’s bathroom. The man was allegedly videotaping women in the bathroom.

Jason Pomare, 33, was arrested over the weekend after mall security officers learned he had been hanging out in a Macy’s department store women’s bathroom. The security guards contacted a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputy who found the cross-dressing man in a mall storage area, NBC Los Angeles reported.

When Pomare was contacted, he was wearing a wig and women’s clothing, including a bra, a statement from the LASD revealed. “The deputy noticed he was wearing a wig and appeared to have breasts,” LASD Sergeant Brian Hudson told the Los Angeles news outlet.

While searching the suspect, the deputy discovered a video camera in his purse. The camera allegedly contained hours of women using the bathroom inside the store.

Witnesses told police that Pomare would conceal the camera in bathroom stalls. The woman who contacted store security noticed the “recording light” on the camera. It appears Pomare was in the bathroom for around two hours, Hudson told the reporter. (Read more from “California Man Dressed as Woman Busted for Videoing in Ladies Bathroom” HERE)

Watch: Sarah Palin Takes Swing at Beck at Wisconsin GOP Dinner

Sarah Palin took a swing at Glenn Beck Friday night, indirectly going after the radio host for visiting the Southern U.S. border in 2014 to deliver tractor-trailers full of food, water, teddy bears and soccer balls to underage refugees.

Palin, a top surrogate for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, made her comments on illegal immigration at a Wisconsin Republican Party fundraiser ahead of Tuesday’s primary. She contended that other candidates “didn’t want to talk about it,” but Trump “made them.”

“Now because he beat the media on that issue. … But knowing that Trump won on that issue it should empower you to go ahead and ask the candidates,” Palin said. “‘What the heck are you thinking candidates. What are you thinking when you’re going ahead and asking for more illegal immigrants?’ Even illegal immigrants. Welcoming them!”

“Even inducing them and seducing them with gift baskets,” she continued. “‘Come on over the border and here’s a gift basket of teddy bears and soccer balls.’ What are you thinking? It’s just inviting more.”

When Beck visited the border in 2014, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) joined him. Beck has been a top surrogate for Cruz in the 2016 election cycle. (Read more from “Palin Takes Swing at Beck in Rambling Speech at Wisconsin GOP Dinner” HERE)

How the Virgin Islands Could Decide the GOP Presidential Nomination

The path to the Republican nomination this year could run through the Virgin Islands.

The tiny U.S. territory is one of a handful of places where Republicans can select “unbound” delegates who have the ability to cast a vote on the first ballot at the national convention for any candidate they choose. These hundred or so delegates nationwide — the Virgin Islands has nine — could emerge as critical power brokers at the party’s convention in Cleveland if GOP front-runner Donald Trump fails to amass the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination beforehand.

This is not just hypothetical: “That is how the 1976 Republican convention was decided as President Ford had less than a majority of delegates pledged to him but won the lion’s share of uncommitted delegates in states such as Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York,” said Frank Donatelli, a former Republican National Committee official. These uncommitted delegates are “where the leading candidate will look to get delegates to go over the top.”

The total number of unbound GOP delegates is a bit unclear, because each state sets its own delegate rules. But a furious shadow campaign is under way in several pockets of the country to influence who nabs these spots.

This weekend, North Dakota Republicans will meet in a convention to select 25 convention delegates who, in addition to the three state officials with already reserved delegate spots, can all be unbound in Cleveland. State GOP Executive Director Roz Leighton said presidential campaigns have been recruiting people in the state to run for delegate spots so they can count on having supporters in the delegation at the convention. Watch: WH Censors French President Saying ‘ISLAMIST Terrorism’

The White House website has censored a video of French Pres. Francois Hollande saying that “Islamist terrorism” is at the “roots of terrorism.”

The White House briefly pulled video of a press event on terrorism with Pres. Obama, and when it reappeared on the WhiteHouse.gov website and YouTube, the audio of Hollande’s translator goes silent, beginning with the words “Islamist terrorism,” then begins again at the end of his sentence.

Even the audio of Hollande saying the words “Islamist terrorism” in French have, apparently, been edited from the video.
