Judge Says Alabama Must Perform Gay ‘Marriages’

A federal judge has issued a permanent injunction against enforcing Alabama’s law banning same-sex “marriage,” despite the Alabama Supreme Court’s decision upholding that law.

In March 2015, shortly before the U.S. Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision, which ruled that same-sex “marriage” is a Constitutional right, the state Supreme Court had ordered probate judges to stop issuing same-sex marriage licenses, saying the state law remained in effect.

In January of this year, Chief Justice Roy Moore reaffirmed that 2015 state Supreme Court decision. In an Administrative Order he reminded the state’s judges that the ban on same-sex “marriage” remained in effect, and advised them not to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples . . .

However, U.S. District Judge Callie V. Granade ruled last week that state officials are bound by the United States Supreme Court’s decision.

Judge Granade’s injunction is permanent, preventing judges and any official “who would seek to enforce the marriage laws of Alabama that prohibit or fail to recognize same-sex marriage” from doing so. (Read more from “Judge Says Alabama Must Perform Gay ‘Marriages'” HERE)

Was the Orlando Gunman Really a Lone Wolf?

A shooting by a lone Muslim gunman at an Orlando gay nightclub, which has left at least 50 people dead and dozens more injured, has been called an “act of terrorism” by law enforcement agencies.

The shooter, Omar Mateen, opened fire on hundreds of people at Pulse nightclub, then took hostages until police crashed an armored vehicle into the building and killed him in a gunfight. Mateen was a U.S.-born citizen, whose parents were born in Afghanistan. According to law enforcement officials, Mateen had been “on the radar” of U.S. officials for some time.

The FBI says it is looking at all angles to find a motive. “We do have suggestions that that individual may have leanings towards that particular ideology [Islamic extremism]. But right now we can’t say definitively, so we’re still running everything around,” said Ron Hopper, FBI assistant agent in charge of the FBI’s Tampa division.

The immediate reaction from many news pundits has been to downplay any possible connections to radical Islamism. As often happens after these terrorist attacks, including those in Paris and San Bernardino, pundits and politicians are quick to point out that a “lone wolf” doesn’t necessarily get direct orders from ISIS. They focus on the “hate crime” angle or the need for gun control instead of putting the attack in the context of a global jihad.

Just this morning on Fox News Sunday, columnist George Will, indignant of any suggestion at this time that the attack was motivated by Islamic extremism, said the idea of international terrorists giving Mateen directives to shoot up a gay nightclub was preposterous.

Will, like so many others, are simply perpetuating ignorance when it comes to how lone wolves operate. As has been outlined by the Institute for the Study of War, ISIS has a global strategy to carry out attacks against infidels, and lone wolves are essential to that strategy.

This was made clear in 2014 when the chief spokesman for the Islamic State called on supporters throughout the world to act on their own initiative to attack Western targets.

As reported by McClatchy DC in June 2014, Islamic State spokesman Abu Mohammed al Adnani “vowed that the group would kill Western men and enslave their women even as he accused the Western news media of distortion by inaccurately portraying the group as violent.”

“If you can kill a disbelieving American or European – especially the spiteful and filthy French – or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way, however it may be,” Adnani said, according to an English translation posted online by al Furqan Media, the communications arm of the Islamic State.

“Do not ask for anyone’s advice and do not seek anyone’s verdict,” he said. “Kill the disbeliever whether he is civilian or military, for they have the same ruling.”

A similar directive was later given to women throughout the world. As I reported at The Federalist after the San Bernardino terrorist attack, guidelines had been released by Islamic State leaders, saying they “can fight without the permission of others.”

Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka has pointed out repeatedly that there is really no such thing as a lone wolf—that they’re actually “known wolves.”

It’s time to “ditch” the “lone wolf” label, Gorka told Fox News, because it obscures the ideology that ties all independent American jihadists together.

“This is a global network of jihadi activists,” Dr. Gorka explained, noting that the “lone wolf” label– applied to a number of Islamist shooters, from Fort Hood’s Nidal Hasan to Chattanooga’s Mohammad Abdulazeez–“is designed to make us think these are sporadic, disconnected individuals– they’re not.” The label “is designed to disconnect the dots,” he explains, as many of these individuals are watching similar, if not identical, Islamist propaganda online. In reality, “They are all connected by the ideology, by the stuff they consume on the internet,” Dr. Gorka explained.

Gorka said the State Department has failed to crack down on Islamist propaganda online—where many American Muslims are recruited—because they ignore that this is about an ideology: radical Islam. We aren’t fighting “extremism” or “terrorism,” Gorka has said. We are fighting people who hold to a particular ideology, which means supporters of the Islamic State don’t need direct orders every time an attack is made against Western targets—civilian or military.

The attack on a gay nightclub is in complete alignment with the ideology of radical Islam. Homosexuality is illegal according to Sharia Law and is punishable by death. Men who have fled the Middle East testify to this fact and have spoken to the United Nations Security Council about the horror of being gay in the Islamic State.

“In my society, being gay means death,” said one Iraqi man, hiding his identity out of fear for his safety.

Another man, Subhi Nahas, said he watched as a group linked to al-Qaeda took control of his hometown of Idlib and systematically tortured and murdered of men who were thought to be gay.

“I was terrified to go out,” he said. “Nor was my home safe, as my father, who suspiciously monitored my every move, had learned I was gay. I bear a scar on my chin as a token of his rage. At the executions, hundreds of townspeople, including children, cheered jubilantly as at a wedding. If a victim did not die after being hurled off a building, the townspeople stoned him to death.”

Given that the Islamic State has already given directives for global jihad, and that supporters are motivated by a shared ideology, it makes logical sense that a “known wolf,” as we seem to have in Orlando, would target a gay nightclub, killing 50 souls who were doing nothing but minding their own business with friends and loved ones. Sanders May Endorse Clinton After Meeting This Week

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Sunday he won’t endorse Hillary Clinton for president until they meet and he measures her commitment to battling Wall Street, wealth inequality and other priorities that powered his rogue presidential campaign.

“I look forward to sitting down with Secretary Clinton and see what kind of platform she is going to support and how aggressive she is going to be,” he said on CBS’ Face the Nation. ”Dependent on how Secretary Clinton comes down on many of these major issues will determine how closely we can work with her.”

Sanders’ remarks were the first indication that the two Democrats planned to “chat” Tuesday evening after votes in the District of Columbia, the final Democratic presidential primary.

Defeating presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump remains his first priority, Sanders said, leaving open the prospect of pursuing that goal at some point at Clinton’s side.

That seemed inevitable. Clinton last week claimed the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, secured President Barack Obama’s endorsement and took immediate aim at Trump. And Sanders was powering down his campaign, laying off half of his staff and meeting with Senate Democrats who said afterward the Vermont independent seemed under no illusions about the fact that his upstart campaign was near its end. On Sunday, he was to meet with supporters and senior advisers at his home in Burlington, Vermont.

On Sunday, he made clear that his endorsement of Clinton was not to be taken for granted.

The campaign Sanders built is valuable to Clinton. Rooted in pricey notions of free college educations and health care for all, Sanders’ campaign attracted scores of younger and female voters. These voters earned Sanders 45 percent of the Democratic delegates to the party’s national convention. Across the Sunday talk shows, Sanders suggested he wants to ensure that Clinton’s support for those priorities is more than words spoken by her or printed on the party’s platform.

“Generally speaking, a platform is a piece of paper tucked away in some kind of drawer, but I do not want that to be the case nor do millions of people who voted for real change want that to be the case,” Sanders said on CBS. “That is exactly what Secretary Clinton and I will be talking about.” (For more from the author of “Sanders May Endorse Clinton After Meeting This Week” please click HERE)

Convention Chaos Would Have to Be Unprecedented to Dump Trump

A lot of folks have been trying to figure out how to avoid being ruled by the future Clinton/Warren communist regime. As an ex-member of the Republican Party for over two years now, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is little hope for that party to win, especially in light of recent events.

Donald Trump has claimed that one can predict bias due to ethnicity, which has got to be one of the most anti-American things we’ve heard a Republican candidate say, in spite of the Democrats who say these kinds of things and thrive on race-insults and division. And we may be overthinking this, but, if someone of Mexican heritage is automatically biased against a guy who builds a fabled wall between Mexico and the United States, then wouldn’t that mean that in his brain, Trump believes he will not get “fair” treatment from any Latino voter?

Ah, forget it, trying to make sense of this egomaniac is tiresome. While we are told to unite behind him despite his lack of conservative qualities—not to mention absence of common sense and abundance of shallowness—some of us dream of a way to change the nominee rather than infringe on our self-respect.

But there is a bigger wrinkle than Trump at play. The Republican Party in our sometimes romantic minds is not the Republican Party Trump plans to take over. It’s not as if he’s going to turn the GOP into a big government party; it already is one. He will uphold the status quo and reinforce the establishment. He heaps praise on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) because he has power. He heaps disdain on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) because he does not have power. If Trump’s the nominee, and if he wins the presidency, there will be zero attempt made by the Republican Party to adhere to the conservative principles on which it was founded. So, really, nothing will change in that respect.

Steve Deace has interviewed an RNC official who believes the rules are not set that delegates have to stick with the outcome of the state primaries on the first vote. That official, Curly Haugland, wrote a book titled “Unbound,” and he presses that all delegates can and should vote their consciences on every vote. Another convention expert said that though Haugland’s meticulous reading of the rules usually garners him a collective eye roll among the RNC members, he is correct in that the rules are unclear on binding. According to a book by convention expert John Yob, “Chaos: The Outsider’s Guide to a Contested Republican National Convention 2016,” Haugland’s years of being a rules geek are perhaps coming to a head as the anti-establishment fervor is at a fevered pitch, and he presides at the head of a North Dakota delegation who are all unbound.

Yob is a Michigan operative who now lives in the Virgin Islands and has contested the Republican Chair from St. Croix for control of the delegation. The U.S. Virgin Islands are special in that all nine delegates are unbound and chosen by very few voters, giving them quite a bit of relative power. In his book, Yob runs down every state delegation, how it’s elected, whether the delegates are bound or unbound free agents and other nerdy details. But no matter how much he discusses the rules and some history of conventions, the book stresses, at least to my reading, that the rules are unclear. In fact, a pretty clear takeaway from the book is that 2016 is ripe for a chaotic unprecedented convention, not just because Trump is running (his book was published before the presumed nominee was named), but because of the fractious lead up to this convention and the shifts taking place within the Republican Party.

If the elites of the Republican Party only understood that the anger that fueled the rise of Trump can be traced back to them in the first place, a lot of the divisiveness within the party would subside; but they believe they are still right, so it’s not going to end. Heck, Trump doesn’t even understand who or what the problem in Washington is. He just figures he can make better deals.

But it seems if you are hoping for a different nominee coming out of the convention, the chaos would have to be ten times anything that’s ever happened before, thus making it quite a farfetched dream. The revolt would have to be led by the delegates themselves. They would have to secretly coordinate across states, identifying SINOs (supporters in name only) of Trump, those not poisoned by the lies Trump told about the rest of the primary field.

But though the Yob book gives a pretty clear picture of how “anything can happen” at a convention, the truth is, unless several rules are changed, and other rules clarified, a coup is unlikely. Considering all the risky business with the number of first-time convention attendees and the capitulating nature of the Republican Party in general, we must figure Trump will come out of the convention as the nominee, with probably an establishment guy for vice president. Because in the end, the establishment needs to protect the status quo.

For those of us who believe Trump will lose to Hillary, it’s all bad news. (For more from the author of “Convention Chaos Would Have to Be Unprecedented to Dump Trump” please click HERE)

McConnell Waves White Flag, Steers GOP Away From ObamaCare Fights

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has urged GOP colleagues in private to avoid distracting political fights, yielding a surprising ceasefire on labor and health issues, two of the bloodiest battlegrounds in Congress.

For the first time in seven years, the Senate Appropriations Committee last week passed a bipartisan bill funding the departments of Labor and Health and Human Services. It’s the largest spending bill after the one for the Defense Department and a perennial source of partisan strife.

The bill is not likely to go anywhere because the House has slim chance of passing a Labor-HHS spending bill, but the drama-free passage was an important victory for McConnell, who has staked the Senate Republican majority on the argument that Republicans know how to govern.

“We went eight years in the minority and during that time we didn’t pass these bills and then the public’s outraged,” said Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.). “Behind the closed doors of the conference, he emphasizes over and over again that he wants to keep the extraneous things off and do what people expect us to do.”

The full Senate is now poised to act on the Labor HHS bill, which hasn’t passed the chamber as a stand-alone measure since 2007. (Read more from “McConnell Steers Republicans Away From ObamaCare Fights” HERE)

Trump Calls on Obama To “Immediately Resign in Disgrace”

After Barack Hussein Obama again failed to credit Islamic terror for a slaughter on American soil, presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump took to Twitter, slamming the President:

Here is Trump’s full statement on the Orlando slaughter:

Donald J. Trump Statement Regarding Tragic Terrorist Attack in Orlando, Florida

Last night, our nation was attacked by a radical Islamic terrorist. It was the worst terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11, and the second of its kind in 6 months. My deepest sympathy and support goes out to the victims, the wounded, and their families.

In his remarks today, President Obama disgracefully refused to even say the words ‘Radical Islam’. For that reason alone, he should step down. If Hillary Clinton, after this attack, still cannot say the two words ‘Radical Islam’ she should get out of this race for the Presidency.

If we do not get tough and smart real fast, we are not going to have a country anymore. Because our leaders are weak, I said this was going to happen – and it is only going to get worse. I am trying to save lives and prevent the next terrorist attack. We can’t afford to be politically correct anymore.

The terrorist, Omar Mir Saddique Mateen, is the son of an immigrant from Afghanistan who openly published his support for the Afghanistani Taliban and even tried to run for President of Afghanistan. According to Pew, 99% of people in Afghanistan support oppressive Sharia Law.

We admit more than 100,000 lifetime migrants from the Middle East each year. Since 9/11, hundreds of migrants and their children have been implicated in terrorism in the United States.

Hillary Clinton wants to dramatically increase admissions from the Middle East, bringing in many hundreds of thousands during a first term – and we will have no way to screen them, pay for them, or prevent the second generation from radicalizing.

We need to protect all Americans, of all backgrounds and all beliefs, from Radical Islamic Terrorism – which has no place in an open and tolerant society. Radical Islam advocates hate for women, gays, Jews, Christians and all Americans. I am going to be a President for all Americans, and I am going to protect and defend all Americans. We are going to make America safe again and great again for everyone.

Orlando Jihadist Worked for World’s Largest Security Firm, Interviewed Repeatedly by FBI

Federal officials are now admitting Orlando Terrorist Attacker Omar Mateen was a known entity to them and was previously interviewed in connection to ISIS suicide bomber Moner Abu Salha.

In a press conference, an FBI spokesman says the agency first interviewed Omar Mateen in 2013 after he made “inflammatory remarks” to a colleague. The investigation was closed.

The FBI interviewed Mateen again in 2014 about a potential connection with suicide bomber Moner Abu Salha. The FBI investigation found no “substantial relationship” between Mateen and Salah. (link)

♦ Omar Mateen worked for a security firm under contract to the Department of Homeland Security called G4S. Mateen was licensed as a security guard and also holds a firearms license. G4S, a global security firm with an office in Jupiter. The same company is used by DHS to move illegal aliens around the country.

“We are shocked and saddened by the tragic event that occurred at the Orlando nightclub. We can confirm that Omar Mateen had been employed with G4S since September 10, 2007. We are cooperating fully with all law enforcement authorities, including the FBI, as they conduct their investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the friends, families and people affected by this unspeakable tragedy.” (link)

♦ Mateen purchased multiple guns in the past few days, the FBI spokesman said. When asked why Mateen was able to purchase a gun given the fact he was on the FBI radar for terror links, the spokesman answer he was able to do so because the investigations were closed.

♦ According to the Washington Post the former wife of Mateen says he was not stable and was violent with her. “He was not a stable person,” said the ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because she feared for her safety. She said they married in 2009 but divorced after only a few months. She says he was not particularly religious at the time. (link)

♦ FBI and local police are wrapping the search of the home of Mateen’s family in Port St. Lucie. They removed several boxes, along with a computer from the home at 937 SW Bayshore Boulevard. They also searched the three cars in the driveway.

♦ Moner Abusalha, the first Ameerican suicide bomber in Syria, posted video of Imam calling for death of homosexuals. In 2015 FBI investigated connection between Abusalha, who lived in Vero Beach, and Omar Mateen, the Orlando shooter. Mateen lived about 30 minutes south of Abusalha.

Orlando Killer’s Dad Met With Prominent Congressmen, Opposed Northern Afghan War

This is a little disturbing. Remember Amed Mohamed and the exploited islamic opportunism with 14-year-old “clock boy” bomb hoax from Irving Texas and how his father was running for political office in Sudan?

Well, apparently 29-year-old terrorist Omar Mateen (below left) comes from a similarly engaged political family and his father, Seddique Mateen (below), was/is running for national office in Afghanistan and not happy with the government of Pakistan.

Mr. Seddique Mateen the political candidate is also a prolific user of social media and has reams of U-Tube footage broadcasting his political ideology.

In most of his social media postings Mr. Seddique Mateen takes the position that they Pakistan Government is to blame for most of the problems with Islamic Extremism, in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Jihadi Dad promotes the side of the Taliban in pictures and dozens of messages directed to President Obama.

In addition, Got News.Com has discovered the sister of Omar Mateen, Miriam Seddique, purchased Omar’s house for $10 in April via a “quit claim deed”. –link

It would appear the jihadist Omar Mateen was making preparations for this attack for quite some time.

Donald Trump was correct again when he called for additional scrutiny in December of 2015. The families of these terrorists need to be a concentrated focus for attention.

Mr. Seddique Mateen even incorporated his entities as “The Provisional Government of Afghanistan Corporation” in official records in Florida:

Right Before Orlando Slaughter, Ex-CIA Head Gen. Petraeus and Astronaut Mark Kelly Launch Gun Control Group

Retired U.S. Army Gen. David Petraeus, who has long resisted calls to run for political office, is teaming up with retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly to create a new group urging greater gun control.

The two announced on Friday that they were launching Veterans Coalition for Common Sense to encourage elected leaders to “do more to prevent gun tragedies.” The group will feature veterans from every branch of the military who are urging lawmakers to toughen gun laws, the organization said in a news release.

“As service members, each of us swore an oath to protect our Constitution and the homeland. Now we’re asking our leaders to do more to protect our rights and save lives,” said Kelly, the husband of former Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and co-founder of Americans for Responsible Solutions, a group that advocates for tougher gun laws. (Read more from “Right Before Orlando Slaughter, Ex-CIA Head Gen. Smartest President Ever Unable to Deduce Motive of Pulse Nightclub Terrorist

The shooter in Orlando is tied to ISIS and worked for a security firm in Jupiter, passing all tests to obtain guns. He was known to the FBI since 2013.

Another man was arrested on a tip today as he was traveling to the Gay Pride parade in Los Angeles carrying possible explosives and rifles with ammo. The car had Indiana plates and he had the components of a pipe bomb.

Remarkably law enforcement in LA are telling the people they are safe and they have no reason to believe there is an ongoing terror threat.

The shooting in Orlando, Florida is tied to ISIS and that has been confirmed. The terrorist was shouting “Allahu Akbar” in the street and in the nightclub.

The president said in a speech that the slaughter of 50 people and the wounding of 53 was an attack but he doesn’t know what the motives are. He never used the words Islamic, radical Islamic, or any other realistic term.

His mentioning of his concern for LGBTs falls a little flat because he certainly isn’t protecting them. Shall we wait until they are being thrown off buildings in this country?

Apparently the terrorist’s ties to ISIS, including a 9/11 call to them at the time of the attack, was not a dead giveaway. Omar Mateen, the terrorist, pledged allegiance to ISIS in the moments before the attack.

The president called it murder and a massacre, saying they don’t know the motivation and only know that the shooter was filled with hate. He mentioned “terror” but that was as close as he got to describing it accurately.

Obama politicized the terror attack, saying this is about gun violence and it’s to easy to get a gun in this country.

The shooter worked in security and passed all tests to have a weapon, however.

Obama is trying to define down what terrorism is and reduce it to terrorism only if ISIS comes over as an army waving a black ISIS flag on their way over. That’s a dangerous viewpoint and it’s insane.

Attacks “inspired by” are still terror attacks.

The Islamic State has just taken credit for the terror attack in Orlando and this was broadcast from their own media. They usually don’t announce responsibility so quickly over their official media but maybe they are tired of the president pretending it’s not what it is.

He’s beginning to repulse me. Fifty, FIFTY people are dead, Fifty-three are seriously wounded and he’s trying to say it’s gun violence. It’s very disappointing. He’s not protecting us.
