Trump: In America, We Don’t Worship Government, We Worship God

President Trump says Americans don’t worship government, they should call evil by its name and times are “changing back” to an earlier era when the nation’s founders “invoked our Creator four times in the Declaration of Independence.”

His comments came Friday at the Value Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., an annual gathering of the nation’s leading conservative and faith organizations, where he spoke just a year ago as a candidate. He’s the first sitting president to address the group.

“We know that it’s the family and the church, not government officials, that know best how to create strong and loving communities. And above all else, we know this: In America, we don’t worship government – we worship God,” he said.

“Inspired by that conviction, we are returning moral clarity to our view of the world and the many grave challenges we face.”

Shortly later, he added: “In this administration, we will call evil by its name. We stand with our friends and allies, we forge new partnerships in pursuit of peace, and we take decisive action against those who would threaten our people with harm. And we will be decisive – because we know that the first duty of government is to serve its citizens. We are defending our borders, protecting our workers and enforcing our laws.” (Read more from “Trump: In America, We Don’t Worship Government, We Worship God” HERE)

Top Neurologists Blame Mass Hysteria for Debilitating ‘Sonic Attacks’ in Cuba, But Now Navy is Evaluating Mysterious Sounds

By Julian Borger and Philip Jaekl. Senior neurologists have suggested that a spate of mysterious ailments among US diplomats in Cuba – which has caused a diplomat rift between the two countries – could have been caused by a form of “mass hysteria” rather than sonic attacks.

The unexplained incidents have prompted the US to withdraw most of its embassy staff from Havana and expel the majority of Cuban diplomats from Washington . . .

“From an objective point of view it’s more like mass hysteria than anything else,” said Mark Hallett, the head of the human motor control section of the US National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

“Mass hysteria” is the popular term for outbreaks among groups of people which are partly or wholly psychosomatic, but Hallett stressed there should be no blame attached to them.

“Psychosomatic disease is a disease like anything else. It shouldn’t be stigmatised,” said Hallett, who is also president of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology. “It’s important to point out that symptoms like this are not voluntary. They are not a sign of weakness in an individual’s personality.” (Read more from “Mass Hysteria May Explain ‘Sonic Attacks’ in Cuba, Say Top Neurologists” HERE)

Mass Hysteria? Not So Fast, Says Navy as it Analyzes Actual Sounds Captured by Injured Embassy Officials

By Josh Lederman and Michael Weissenstein. It sounds sort of like a mass of crickets. A high-pitched whine, but from what? It seems to undulate, even writhe. Listen closely: There are multiple, distinct tones that sound to some like they’re colliding in a nails-on-the-chalkboard effect.

The Associated Press has obtained a recording of what some U.S. Embassy workers heard in Havana in a series of unnerving incidents later deemed to be deliberate attacks. The recording, released Thursday by the AP, is the first disseminated publicly of the many taken in Cuba of mysterious sounds that led investigators initially to suspect a sonic weapon. . .

The recordings from Havana have been sent for analysis to the U.S. Navy, which has advanced capabilities for analyzing acoustic signals, and to the intelligence services, the AP has learned. But the recordings have not significantly advanced U.S. knowledge about what is harming diplomats. Liberal Hollywood Destroys Any Credibility It Had Left

In the immortal words of the great prophet Dave Chappelle, “You played yourself.”

From this time forward, when any insipidly sanctimonious Hollywood star comes forward to lecture us on Marxist agitprop masquerading as do-gooderism, the rest of America that does most of the living and dying around here can simply dismiss such virtue signaling with the following two words: “Harvey Weinstein.”

How ironic is it that in 2016, Hollywood deservedly awarded its coveted Best Picture award to the fantastic movie “Spotlight,” about the journalistic quest to break the long-hidden child abuse scandal within the Catholic Church — when many, too many, of those in attendance at the Oscars that evening were knowingly concealing a sexual predator of their own, masquerading as a movie mogul.

In fact, the “Los Angeles Times” wrote a feature about those 2016 Oscars and how rare it was for the “Diet Coke swigging, chain-smoking master” (as they described Weinstein) to be shut out from Hollywood’s biggest night. Absent from that piece was any mention of how Weinstein turned the already infamous casting couch into his personal hunting ground.

Of course, in fairness to the Times, no one is going to publish such an explosive story about such a powerful figure without eyewitness testimony. And many in the liberal media have done yeoman’s work these past few days not only blowing the lid off this story once some finally came forward, but also demanding that Democratic politicians like the Clintons and Obamas come clean about their cozy relationship with Weinstein.

Yet at this point in the story, I feel compelled to defend Hillary Clinton’s reluctance to publicly condemn her friend and neighbor Weinstein. After all, if you spent 30 years publicly covering for a predatory lout of a husband such as hers, you wouldn’t have much credibility in condemning Weinstein, either.

But I digress.

Many of the same questions once asked about the Catholic Church must now be asked about Hollywood. Even many fellow believers couldn’t reconcile the Church’s historic stance on the sanctity of human life and justice with its systemic willingness to aid and abet pedophiles. And now I would imagine there are many liberals, who truly pride themselves on egalitarian feminism and social justice, wondering how so many of their biggest celebrity spokespeople for those causes befriended and did business with a creep like Weinstein — while knowing this all along.

Politics aside, as a father of two daughters, let alone a fellow human being, it’s heartbreaking to read actress Rose McGowan’s Twitter feed the past few days. She attempts to reconcile the irreconcilable, while confronting and outing all those in Hollywood who betrayed vulnerable women like her for years.

But then there’s the cognitive dissonance displayed by actress Jessica Chastain, who starred in a movie about the alleged evils of guns and gun owners last year.

Chastain now admits she was “warned from the beginning” about Weinstein. Then why star in a movie about disarming the law-abiding? What sense does it make to know there is systemic abuse of women going on in your industry and then advocate for disarming them? How many women whom Weinstein intimidated, scared, and abused over the years would’ve liked the means to defend themselves from such a powerful man if need be?

Speaking of cognitive dissonance …

Sadly, the worldview and activism promoted by liberal Hollywood allowed a creep like Weinstein not only to rise to power, but to use his powerful pedestal to become a full-fledged predator. For when you are applauding the life and death of Hugh Hefner one week, but then mortified at Weinstein taking Hefner’s life work to its most problematic conclusion the next, it’s clear you believe you live in a world where two plus two doesn’t equal four.

The elevation of recreational sex to the top of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. The removal of absolute moral standards. Believing justice can be achieved publicly without first confronting the injustice afflicting us personally. Seeing life as simply a matter of materialistic successes, and if you have red in your ledger you can make up for it on your own with good deeds (like Weinstein trying to make penance last week by going after the NRA). The notion that he who has the gold gets to make all the rules, and it’s okay to compromise your personal value system for self-actualization or success.

This is Hollywood’s DNA.

However, this is where the comparisons between Hollywood and the Catholic Church’s coddling of predators comes to an end. For the Catholic Church stained its reputation by betraying the iconography on its stained glass windows. On the other hand, Weinstein is the embodiment of the humanist stain that Hollywood has become.

That’s why Weinstein was so successful and made others so successful in that town, too. Weinstein wasn’t swimming against the Hollywood tide; he was spawned from it. (For more from the author of “Liberal Hollywood Destroys Any Credibility It Had Left” please click HERE)

Trump Signs Executive Order in Effort to Dismantle Obamacare

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday reforming Obamacare following repeated failures by congressional Republicans to pass a health care repeal measure of their own.

The exact changes Trump made to the current health care law are not immediately clear.

The executive order does not necessarily make any administrative changes itself. However, it does order federal agencies, like the departments of Labor, Treasury and Health and Human Services to issue new regulations and guidance, the Washington Examiner reported.

Such new rules will go through an examination phase that could take up to months to complete, according to White House officials.

The revised plans could potentially allow employers to offer coverage across state lines, a reform Trump has long called for, as letting customers buy Obamacare across state lines would generate more competition and likely drive costs down.

“The time has come to give Americans the freedom to purchase health insurance across state lines, which will create a truly competitive national marketplace that will bring costs way down and provide far better care,” read a Thursday morning statement by Trump.

The order seeks to increase the capacity by which small businesses can band together to purchase health insurance via association health plans. The order also removes limits on short-term health insurance plans.

Those who have long sought an Obamacare repeal, or at least some sort of reform measures, can also take solace in that the Trump administration plans to do much more on health care policy.

According to the White House, this executive action is just the beginning.

Trump explained that the order is just “starting that process” to repeal Obamacare, The Hill reported. These are the “first steps to providing millions of Americans with Obamascare relief,” Trump said.

During a signing event at the White House, Trump was joined by administration officials, small business owners and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky, with whom Trump has discussed the health care proposal for months.

“When you get Rand Paul on your side it has to be positive,” Trump said.

Democrats and supporters of Obamacare, however, are crying foul. Many of them are arguing that Thursday’s executive action will change American health care for the worse.

Some have suggested the order could derail the stability of health care markets by opening the floodgates to cheaper, lower-quality plans that would lead to an exodus of people away from Obamacare plans.

“This executive order is good for healthy people (while they’re healthy) and bad for sick people,” health care policy expert Larry Levitt tweeted. “Only question is the extent of the effect.”

Trump’s moves come after Senate Republicans tried and failed several times to pass Obamacare repeal this year. Despite controlling a slim majority in both houses of Congress, the GOP has been unable to muster up enough votes to pass health care reform, even failing by one vote to push through a “skinny” repeal bill. Police Fear the Worst When Kindergarten Teacher Goes Missing After Bailing Man out of Jail

It was on Oct. 6, that an Arizona kindergarten teacher, Cathryn Gorospe, went missing after reportedly bailing a man out of the Coconino County Jail in Flagstaff.

It was then discovered that the same man, Charlie Malzahn, 27, was later caught using her credit and debit cards in a different city, suggesting to authorities something fatal may have happened to the woman.

According to reports, Gorospe had left her house to post bail for Malzahn, who had been lingering in jail since Aug. 20 on a litany of charge. She never returned home.

Malzahn was briefly detained by authorities in Tucson the following day for using Gorospe’s credit and debit cards to purchase items from a mall.

Because Gorospe’s roommate had not yet reported her missing, however, they simply confiscated the items and let him go.

However, a day after her roommate had gone to police about Gorospe’s disappearance, authorities spotted her vehicle being driven by Malzahn in Phoenix. After a brief pursuit, he crashed and was taken into custody, KESQ reported.

Though bloodstains were found in the vehicle, suggesting Gorospe had been murdered, authorities continued to refrain from reaching any conclusions due to extenuating circumstances that had muddled the case.

Besides not yet understanding the relationship between Gorospe and Malzahn, authorities were also unsure of whether her sister had been friends with him as well.

Moreover, it was reported that Gorospe is the son of the chief of police in Williams — a nearby town.

What was known for certain was that after Gorospe bailed out Malzahn, the two traveled together until some point in which Malzahn apparently commandeered the vehicle and continued driving on his own, reportedly crisscrossing the state.

It had also beenrevealed that after being bailed out by Gorospe, Malzahn had contacted some of his acquaintances in search of drugs and a gun.

A subsequent report revealed he has a lengthy rap sheet spanning roughly half of his adult life.

“Department of Corrections records show he served a one-year sentence in 2008 for theft and a four-year sentence for a 2012 aggravated assault and resisting arrest — a case he had just finished serving in June,” reported Phoenix station KNXV.

As of Oct. 12, Gorospe’s family had traveled to Arizona from California and were planning to conduct an extensive search for her.

Anyone with information was encouraged to call Flagstaff police at 928-774-1414. (For more from the author of “Police Fear the Worst When Kindergarten Teacher Goes Missing After Bailing Man out of Jail” please click HERE)

TMZ Founder: Harvey Weinstein’s Contract Allowed for Sexual Harassment, Other Lawsuits

TMZ founder and host of FNC’s “OBJECTified” Harvey Levin reported that disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein’s contract with The Weinstein Company essentially allowed for continued employment should sexual harassment suits arise.

Levin said that in his last contract, from two years ago, if Weinstein is sued for sexual harassment or any other kind of misdeed, and the company is forced to pay a judgement, he can keep his job . . .

He said Weinstein’s prospective fines begin at $250,000 for the first settlement, increasing another $250,000 for each future judgment, with the fourth or further judgments costing him a $1 million fine. ‘Scam’ Superintendent Trying to ‘Interest’ Homeschoolers in State Program

A “scam” by a South Dakota school superintendent offering homeschoolers free laptops in exchange for enrolling in his district for one day has been explained.

He was just hoping to interest them in a distance-learning program.

“We thought providing valuable learning tools to our homeschool students while also increasing school revenue was a good idea,” Tri-Valley District Supt. Mike Lodmel said in a letter to the South Dakota Government Operations and Oversight Committee.

The group was assigned to investigate whether or not Lodmel’s scheme was an attempt “to game student headcounts for purposes of garnering more state funds.”

As WND reported last month, Lodmel sent officials to the front doors of families with homeschooled students, presenting the offer. The Argus-Leader in Sioux Falls reported he wanted the children to spend one day in public school “and go home with a new laptop. House Democrat Unveils Articles of Impeachment Against Trump, but Misses Chance to Force Vote

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) on Wednesday unveiled articles of impeachment against President Trump in an effort to force a House vote on removing him from office.

Green’s articles of impeachment were introduced as “privileged,” meaning that they must be considered on the House floor within two legislative days.

But when the GOP presiding officer moved to begin the process to consider the resolution less than an hour later, Green did not show up. The resolution was therefore not offered and is not getting an imminent vote.

The House GOP majority presumably would have moved to table Green’s resolution and prevented an up-or-down vote. But Green had said he would force a procedural vote to challenge the GOP’s ruling, which would have served as the first formal referendum in Congress on impeachment.
