Writer Claims God Is Sexual Assaulter in Adam and Eve Story, Shapiro Fires Back

Don’t cross political commentator Ben Shapiro, especially when it comes to religion.

On Thursday, Tamar Kolton, a rabbi and contributor for The Forward, drafted a piece titled, “The First Story In The Bible Was The First Case Of #MeToo.”

In the piece, Kolton compares the hallmark story from Genesis to the infamous case of former Olympic gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar who sexually assaulted over 150 young women.

“It’s time we all acknowledge an overwhelmingly powerful source of shame and silence — in the bible,” Kolton writes in her op-ed.

The founding myth of Judeo-Christian religion, the story of Eve, granted generations of men permission to violate women. It teaches us that women are liars and sinners,” Kolton claims. “Even if ‘She’ is telling the truth, she deserved it.”

“Here is a young, beautiful, intelligent, naked woman living in a state of Grace. She’s hungry, so she does the most natural thing in the world and eats a piece of fruit,” she continues. “For following her instincts, trusting herself, and nourishing her body, she is punished.

“Her punishment? She will never again feel safe in her nakedness. She will never again love her body. She will never again know her body as a place of sacred sovereignty.”

In Kolton’s view, Eve is silenced by God in the same way that hundreds of young female gymnasts were silenced by a sexual predator.

God, who Kolton claims is a work of “fiction” and “man-made myth,” supposedly also serves as the “man-made figurehead of the patriarchy.”

Shapiro, an adherent to Orthodox Judaism, took issue with Kolton’s “intellectually execrable” comments and proceeded to lay into her in an op-ed of his own.

“The story of Adam and Eve has literally nothing to do with sexual assault,” Shapiro wrote in his response. “It has to do with Eve refusing to obey a Godly command not to eat from a certain tree at the behest of the snake, then telling Adam to do so as well, then lying to God about it. End of story.”

Shapiro continued: “There is simply no way to read the story of Adam and Eve and come away with the notion that Eve wanted to raid the fridge. The snake explicitly discusses with her the consequences for eating the fruit, and tempts her to do so by stating that she will become like God.”

The Harvard Law grad then provides full context for Kolton’s claim of God silencing Eve by referencing Genesis 3:13: “Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

“That’s not her being silent. That’s her answering. And it’s also Eve denying responsibility for her own actions, which is the point of the story. But Kolton apparently doesn’t read English, so she continues with her nonsensical point,” Shapiro states before providing another snapshot of Kolton’s work.

The Daily Wire editor in chief reminded his readers that the story of Adam and Eve isn’t a tale of sexual misconduct, rather, it’s a story of temptation and disobedience where both Adam and Eve suffer consequences for their actions.

“God commands Adam. He commands Eve. He punishes Adam. He punishes Eve. He punishes the snake. The end,” Shapiro wrote.

“And is God cruelly punishing Eve? Of course not. He promises to kill both Adam and Eve, and doesn’t kill either of them, because He is merciful … And then He comforts them by giving Adam and Eve clothing He makes for them in order to respect their own sense of modesty: remember, God never commanded them to make clothing,” he added. “They made clothing for themselves after eating from the tree.”

Shapiro concluded his defense of the Bible by taking one last parting jab at Kolton.

“Eve wasn’t sexually harassed or assaulted by God. She wasn’t a #MeToo victim,” he wrote. “The only victims in this piece are Kolton’s readers, who all lost IQ points simply by sticking around to read it.” (For more from the author of “Writer Claims God Is Sexual Assaulter in Adam and Eve Story, Shapiro Fires Back” please click HERE)

Bill (Not a Scientist) Nye: Fertilized Eggs ‘Are Not Human’

Bill Nye is up to his old tricks again. This time, rather than sexualizing ice cream, he’s attacking the unborn, which only helps to service his population control agenda.

In a piece for the site Big Think 2015, the science guy, who is not a scientist, unloaded some rather unscientific nonsense onto people by saying “fertilized eggs are not human.” For some reason, Big Think got all nostalgic and decided to repost it on their Facebook page.

In the video, Nye claims that pro-lifers who view fertilized eggs as human suffer “a deep lack of scientific understanding,” because human life does not occur until the egg implants in the mother’s uterus.

“You literally don’t know what you’re talking about,” he says. “If you say, ‘When an egg is fertilized, it has the same rights as an individual!’ who are you going to sue? Every woman who’s had a fertilized egg pass through her?” He then takes this nonscientific argument to plug a political talking on abortion, which has nothing to do with science. 42-Year-Old Man and 20-Year-Old Biological Daughter ‘Married,’ Had a Child, and Have Been Arrested

A Virginia man and his 20-year-old biological daughter “face incest charges” after having a child together, according to warrants allegedly viewed or obtained by WNCN-TV.

In 1998, Steven Walter Pladl and his then-wife (who remains anonymous) gave their daughter, Katie Pladl, up for adoption. Approximately 18 years later, Katie found her birth parents using social media. By August 2016, she was living with the couple and their other biological children in their Virginia home.

WNCN-TV reports that according to the warrants, “Steven Pladl and his wife legally separated in November 2016 and the wife moved out,” and that Pladl’s wife claims her husband had begun sleeping “on the floor” in Katie’s room prior to her vacating the home.

In May 2017, the wife discovered that Steven had impregnated Katie, according to WNCN-TV. She then confronted Steven, and he admitted that he and Katie had been involved in a sexual relationship resulting in the conception of a child. He also reportedly added that he and Katie were going to be married. The wife uncovered the secret only after reading one of her children’s diary entries, the news outlet adds.

Shortly thereafter, the Pladl children were interviewed by Henrico County Child Advocacy Center. According to WNCN-TV, the kids confirmed that “they had been told” Katie was pregnant with their father’s baby. Anti-Hooker Lawmaker Used Taxpayer Money for Sex with Escort

Taxpayer funds were used to pay for at least two hotel rooms that a Utah lawmaker who resigned this week is alleged to have used to meet up with a prostitute last year, according to records found by a state House of Representatives official. After the British newspaper the Daily Mail reported allegations Thursday that Republican Rep. Jon Stanard twice hired a prostitute in 2017, House and state elections officials said they were checking to see if taxpayer or campaign money was used for the hotel stays that the report alleges Stanard booked.

House Chief of Staff Greg Hartley told the Associated Press in a text message that Stanard, who resigned Tuesday night, was reimbursed for hotel stays in Salt Lake City in June and August 2017 when Stanard was attending legislative meetings at the state Capitol, four hours from his home in St. George.

The dates and hotel names correspond with text messages reported in the Daily Mail.

“It looks like they were legislative days,” Republican House Speaker Greg Hughes told the Associated Press Thursday night.

Hughes said he didn’t yet know if the House would ask Stanard to return the hotel reimbursements. (Read more from “Anti-Hooker Lawmaker Used Taxpayer Money for Sex with Escort” HERE)

#Metoo Lawmaker Investigated for Sexual Misconduct

California Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia — whose high-profile advocacy of the #MeToo movement earned her national media notice — is herself the subject of a state legislative investigation in the wake of a report that she sexually harassed and groped a former legislative staffer.

In December, when Time magazine announced that “Silence Breakers” who spoke out against sexual harassment were its Persons of the Year, Garcia’s face was prominently included in the art accompanying the cover story.

But Daniel Fierro of Cerritos told POLITICO that in 2014, as a 25-year-old staffer to Assemblyman Ian Calderon, he was groped by Garcia, a powerful Democratic lawmaker who chairs the Legislative Women’s Caucus and the Natural Resources Committee.

He said she cornered him alone after the annual Assembly softball game in Sacramento as he attempted to clean up the dugout. Fierro, who said Garcia appeared inebriated, said she began stroking his back, then squeezed his buttocks and attempted to touch his crotch before he extricated himself and quickly left. Thanks to Kansas Loophole, 6 Teens Running for Governor

There are no age requirements to run for office in Kansas.

And when there’s a giant loophole like that, teens who aren’t even old enough to vote will exploit it.

That’s what 17-year-old Jack Bergeson did. He filed papers to run for governor this November. Five other teens quickly entered the race as well . . .

Republican Rep. Blake Carpenter told CNN he introduced House Bill 2539 this week after six high school students filed to run for governor in the November 2018 elections. The bill states that candidates running for any government office in Kansas should be at least 18 years old and be a resident of the state for at least four consecutive years. Packing Up, Moving Out: People Leaving California in Droves

Billy Joel’s classic tune “Movin’ Out” could be an appropriate theme song for the many individuals in the High Desert and California who have packed up and relocated to places like Oregon, Michigan, Arizona, Texas and Idaho.

The Golden State continues to rank No. 1 as the state that has waved goodbye to more residents, about 143,000 last year, than welcomed those who have moved here, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report.

And despite the state losing 3.5 million people to other states from 2010 to 2015, many demographic experts said there is no mass exodus from California.

But this story is not so much about the amount of Californians leaving, but about why so many longtime High Desert residents have moved out of the Victor Valley.

Mike and Velvet Ambuski from Hesperia are among those who have relocated because they wanted to live in an area with less crime, better jobs, friendlier people, improved services, less traffic and a more politically conservative atmosphere. Prosecutor: Stopping Predators Not ‘Rocket Science’

The explosion of sexual abuse revelations in recent months reveals a much bigger problem than many imagined, and Americans are now far more aware of the sexual abuse of children from cases ranging from Hollywood to disgraced USA Gymnastics Dr. Larry Nassar.

And a career sex crimes prosecutor says parents can play a vital role in preparing kids to recognize lewd behavior and in helping them come forward if abuse has occurred.

Stacey Honowitz serves as an assistant state attorney in Florida, specializing in cases of sexual abuse. She is also the author of “My Privates are My Privates,” a book designed to teach young kids about where people should not be touching them. . .

“I’ve seen in my 30 years experience that it’s not that stranger. It’s normally somebody that you know. It could be someone in the family. It could be a coach. It could be a rabbi. It could be a priest. Sex crimes really know no boundaries. Anybody can be a predator and anybody can be a victim,” said Honowitz.

“You really just kind of need to be smart. Use your common sense. We all think this is such a major thing and that it’s rocket science. It’s not. It’s common sense to see that someone wants to spend a lot of time with your kid and you’re trying to figure out why,” said Honowitz. Radical Muslim Allowed in U.S. by Hillary Arrested for Rape

A prominent Muslim leader who for years had been denied entry to the United States because of possible terror ties until Hillary Clinton granted him special permission as an outreach to Muslims, now has been accused of rape.

Tariq Ramadan, the grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder and Hamas founder Hassan al Banna, this week was denied bail by a judge in France.

Ramadan, a professor at Oxford University, was arrested in Paris last week and charged with raping two Muslim women. The first, a 40-year-old disabled Muslim convert, claims Ramadan raped and beat her in the southeastern city of Lyon in 2009. The other, a 41-year-old feminist activist, says Ramadan raped her in Paris in 2012.

Ramadan had been barred from entry to the U.S. along with sociologist Adam Habib.

The State Department explained at the time that both men presented a potential national security threat. (Read more from “Radical Muslim Allowed in U.S. by Hillary Accused of Rape” HERE)

Sanctuary Mayor ‘Not Scared at All’ of Trump

The Trump administration is considering criminal charges against local officials who don’t fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities, but Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti insists he’s “not scared at all,” calling the crackdown on the so-called “sanctuary city” movement “a weak and pathetic move.”

Garcetti was asked by PJ Media if he was worried about the possibility of facing federal charges.

“Not at all. I think it’s a political circus. I think it’s about stirring up, you know, blowing a dog whistle – not about anything real,” he said in an interview at the recent U.S. Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting.

“There’s not a single document we’ve ever cut back, and they know that. There’s not a single city in America that has done that, so it was kind of a weak and pathetic move, and I’m not scared at all,” he said of Justice Department requests for records related to compliance with federal law by Los Angeles and other cities.

Garcetti contends there are no federal statutes the Justice Department can use against his city. He acknowledged that the administration can withdraw federal funds, but he believes the city will get those funds anyway through court orders.
