Abstinence Gets a Boost: Trump Announces Huge Change to Obama-Era Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program

By The Daily Wire. The federal Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program (TPPP) that was established in 2010 by the Obama Administration is undergoing massive changes toward abstinence education, the Trump Administration announced on Friday. The program doles out funding to schools and individual communities to combat teen pregnancy with “comprehensive sex-education.”

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Obama-era program has been ineffective at best.

The omnibus spending bill funded TPPP with $108 million for fiscal year 2018, but in an effort to effectively reduce teen pregnancy and advance sexual health, such grants will now be attached to abstinence-focused education per the administration . . .

An August press release from the HHS claimed that the Obama-era program negatively affected teen behavior and was a waste of taxpayer dollars. “Overall, of the 37 funded and evaluated projects, 73% either had no impact or had a negative impact on teen behavior, with some teens more likely to begin having sex, to engage in unprotected sex, or to become pregnant. Very few positive results were sustained over time,” said the report. (Read more from “Abstinence Gets a Boost: Trump Announces Huge Change to Obama-Era Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program” HERE)

Trump Admin Announces Abstinence-Focused Overhaul of Teen Pregnancy Program

By The Hill. The Trump administration will shift federal funding aimed at reducing teen pregnancy rates to programs that teach abstinence.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced Friday the availability of grants through the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, (TPPP) a grant program created under former President Obama that funds organizations and programs working to reduce teen pregnancy rates.

Trump’s HHS announced, however, that unlike under the Obama administration, grants will be geared toward organizations that teach abstinence education to teens instead of the comprehensive sex ed approach the previous administration supported.

In a funding announcement released Friday, the administration announced two tiers of funds for the TPP program.

In the first, grantees would have to follow one of two abstinence programs to receive funding. (Read more from “Trump Admin Announces Abstinence-Focused Overhaul of Teen Pregnancy Program” HERE)

North Korea Announces Closure of Nuclear Test Site, Suspending Missile Tests

On Friday, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un announced that the nation is suspending missile and nuclear tests and is closing a nuclear test facility ahead of the anticipated meeting with President Donald Trump.

“From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” the Korean Central News Agency said, according to Yonhap News Agency. “The North will shut down a nuclear test site in the country’s northern side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear test.”

In response, Trump tweeted: “North Korea has agreed to suspend all Nuclear Tests and close up a major test site. This is very good news for North Korea and the World – big progress! Look forward to our Summit.”

Caravan of Refugees Arrives at U.S.-Mexico Border; Refugees Ask for Asylum

By The Daily Wire. Remember that caravan that the mainstream media — and Mexican officials — said was no longer heading to the U.S.-Mexico border?

Yeah, they arrived at the border.

The story of the marching caravan — 1,500 refugees strong — was all over the news for a week, with the MSM breathlessly covering the plight of the poor refugees who surely deserved free entry into the United States. But the story disappeared as outlets reported that the caravan was no longer heading to the border . . .

When the caravan crossed the Mexican-Guatemalan border last month, group leaders praised Mexican officials for stepping aside. “Refugee Caravan knocking down borders yesterday in Huehuetan! Immigration agents abandoned the post when they knew we were coming. The people celebrated this first little victory!” they said on Facebook.

While Mexico said at the time that it “does not make immigration decisions for the United States or any other nation,” President Trump said Mexico does make decisions that affect the U.S. (Read more from “Caravan of Refugees Arrives at U.S.-Mexico Border; Refugees Ask for Asylum” HERE)

50 Caravan Migrants Reach US-Mexico Border

By Newsmax. The first 50 Central American migrants in a caravan that set out from southern Mexico in late March have reached the U.S. border, now secured with help from National Guard personnel sent by President Donald Trump.

Since peaking at around 1,500 people, the migrant caravan has dwindled under pressure from Trump and Mexican migration authorities, who vowed to separate those migrants with a right to stay in Mexico from those who did not.

Some of those migrants began arriving in the Mexican border city of Tijuana on Wednesday and have requested asylum in the United States.

“Since yesterday, some began to cross into the United States to turn themselves in from Tijuana and request asylum. We understand more of (the migrants) will do the same,” said Jose Maria Garcia, director of Juventud 2000, an organization dedicated to assisting migrants. State Sued for Taking Babies’ Blood Without a Warrant

By WND. The state of Michigan is being sued by parents of newborns’ whose blood was sampled by the state without a warrant.

“It has been well-established that drawing a person’s blood for analysis constitutes a search within the meaning of the Fourth Amendment,” explains the complaint filed against the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, various doctors and the Michigan Neonatal Biobank Inc.

“The Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees the right of persons to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures by the government, including the state of Michigan, its agencies, and those that work for in in cahoots with those agencies.”

While the state program to “seize” blood from newborns for testing against various diseases “is a noble public policy idea,” the method that the state as implemented “violates the United States Constitution,” the complaint contends.

The lawsuit seeks an order to stop the practice, destroy the data illegally collected and “return to the parents all blood samples and spots of infants which defendants have caused to be seized and stored indefinitely without informed consent.” (Read more from “State Sued for Taking Babies’ Blood Without a Warrant” HERE)

Lawsuit Alleges Michigan Stole Blood of Newborn Babies

By Associated Press. . .Philip Ellison filed the federal lawsuit on behalf of the parents, saying Michigan’s practice of drawing infant blood is unconstitutional, MLive.com reported. The lawsuit also alleges that there aren’t protections in place to stop police or others from accessing information that can be derived from the stored blood samples.

“Essentially, the state has stolen consent from parents,” said Ellison, an attorney based in Saginaw County . . .

The blood of more than five million people is being stored, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. (Read more from “Lawsuit Alleges Michigan Stole Blood of Newborn Babies” HERE)

School Official Obsessed with Claims of Homeschooler’s ‘Sex Trafficking’

By WND. An attendance officer in a West Virginia school district posted a Facebook message in support of public schools shortly after a teachers’ strike declaring 80 percent of homeschoolers “are drug addicts, have truancy charges, [engage in] childhood sex trafficking, etc.”

Then a local family contacted the officer to inform the officer, as required by state law, of its intent to homeschool.

The next day, Child Protective Services arrived at the family’s home demanding to investigate “allegations which included many of the same specific criminal activities that the county attendance officer had accused homeschooling families of in her Facebook post,” according to the Home School Legal Defense Association.

“After interviewing the children and viewing the home, the CPS investigators acknowledged that the allegations were ridiculously meritless. But the family had already been traumatized,” HSLDA said . . .

He explained the district worker “aggressively interrogated [the mother] as to why she had mailed in the notification,” and the school worker said she had two weeks to decide whether or not the family would be allowed to homeschool. CPS and Homeschooling Mom Agree: She’s Not a Criminal!

By HSLDA. Acrimony fomented by a West Virginia public school teachers’ strike and pushback against pro-homeschool legislation appears to have affected how homeschooling families are treated on the local level.

Home School Legal Defense Association recently advocated on behalf of one of these families, who was harassed and then put through a Child Welfare Services investigation simply for following the legal requirements for homeschooling.

The incident began when the HSLDA members mailed a notice of intent to their county attendance officer (the local official who enforces compulsory school attendance laws).

The mom was announcing her intention to begin homeschooling, a decision she and her husband had made in part because some of their children were being bullied at school. . . .

The official was wrong. Though state law does require homeschool students to be assessed regularly and show acceptable progress, it does not give her the power to approve or disapprove of homeschool programs. But what made her behavior especially egregious is that it appeared to be based on her political views that hold homeschoolers in disdain. Dems Sue Russia, Trump, and Assange for ‘Damages’ from 2016 Vote

With the high level of vitriol still emanating from Democrats over the results of the 2016 presidential election, a lawsuit was inevitable.

And now a suit has been filed in Manhattan by the Democratic National Committee accusing Russia, President Trump, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and others of working together to “undermine” Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

The suit names the Russian Federation; general staff of the armed forces of the Russian Federation; GRU Operative using pseudonym ‘Guccifer 2.0’; Aras Iskenerovich Agalarov; Emin Araz Agalarov; Joseph Mifsud; Wikileaks; Julian Assange; Donald J. Trump for President Inc.; Donald J. Trump Jr.; Paul J. Manafort Jr.; Roger J. Stone Jr.; Jared C. Kushner; George Papadopoulos; Richard W. Gates III; and John Does 1-10.”

It alleges violations of various statutes, including Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, RICO, RICO Conspiracy, Wiretap Act, Stored Communications Act, Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Defend Trade Secrets Act, Uniform Trade Secrets Act, Trespass, conspiracy and Virginia Computer Crimes Act.

The DNC claims that in the Trump campaign, Russia “found a willing and active partner in this effort” to launch “a brazen attack on the 2016 election.” . . .

Tom Perez, the DNC chairman, said: “This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for president of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency.” (Read more from “Dems Sue Russia, Trump, and Assange for ‘Damages’ from 2016 Vote” HERE)

Diamond and Silk Just Called for the Deportation of an Elected Official

Last week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo raised some eyebrows when he claimed he was an undocumented immigrant and mockingly called on ICE officials to deport him. During a bill signing, Cuomo pointed to his Italian heritage to make the case that he was an “undocumented person,” stating his family had been taunted with slurs like “wop,” which he claimed meant “without papers.” (This commonly held belief on the slur’s meaning is likely bogus.)

During an appearance on Fox & Friends this morning, pro-Trump vloggers Diamond & Silk provided some in-depth political commentary on the issue. The social media personalities, who have become a conservative cause célèbre recently over their disputed claims of Facebook discrimination, felt ICE should indeed come and get Cuomo over his claims.

“Well, if he is undocumented, maybe ICE should go pay him a visit,” Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway exclaimed. “Go ahead and deport him.” . . .

Diamond went on to state that if Cuomo “really cared about illegal aliens” he would tell them that they need to be legal if they come to the United States. Meanwhile, Silk — usually the quiet one of the pair — had this to say about the topic at hand. (Read more from “Diamond and Silk Just Called for the Deportation of an Elected Official” HERE)

Actress Drops out of Prestigious Awards Ceremony over ‘Distressing’ Events in Israel

U.S. actress Natalie Portman has pulled out of a June awards ceremony in Israel because of concerns over “recent events” there, event organizers said Thursday.

Portman, who was born in Jerusalem, will not travel to Israel in June to receive the Genesis Prize, sometimes referred to as “The Jewish Nobel.”

“Recent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her, and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel,” the Genesis Foundation, which sponsors the award, quoted a Portman representative as saying . . .

Clashes have erupted in recent weeks between Israeli security forces and Palestinian protesters along the Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip. Live fire from Israeli troops has killed dozens of Palestinians and wounded hundreds more, sparking international criticism of Israel’s response to the protests. Israel says it is defending its border and has accused the militant group Hamas, which loosely governs Gaza, of organizing the mass demonstrations a cover for attacks.

Portman was announced as the winner of the 2018 Genesis Prize in November. She had committed to give the $1 million award to “philanthropic programs focused on advancing women’s equality in all aspects of human endeavor,” the Genesis Foundation said. The Comey Memos Have Been Leaked – and They’re All on the Internet; Dossier Trump Briefing a Setup?

Here’s the Nunes Fox News interview from 4/22/17 regarding the Comey memos and the possibility that Hillary Clinton was responsible for the illegal investigation of Trump. Also note, Comey NEVER wrote memos regarding his interaction with President Obama or other officials. Seems this was all part of the ongoing treasonous coup effort against Trump:

Comey Memos Illegally Leaked

By The Blaze. The memos that James Comey wrote to document his interactions with President Trump were delivered to Congress on Thursday, and promptly leaked to the Associated Press, which posted them online . . .

The Department of Justice made the Comey memos available to Congress on Thursday at the request of the House Judiciary, Oversight and Intelligence Committees . . .

In one of the memos, Comey related details from a dinner with the president in late January 2017, and writes that he told Trump, “I don’t do sneaky things, I don’t leak.”

Fox News’ Ed Henry pointed out the coincidence of Comey’s comments being revealed on the same day that former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe was referred by the Department of Justice inspector general to the Attorney General for possible criminal prosecution for lying about leaking to the press.

The Associated Press social media account posted some excerpts from the memos, including a salacious quote allegedly from Putin told to quote.

Comey Memos Leaked — Here’s What They Say

By The Daily Caller. The documents detail various conversations he allegedly had with President Donald Trump.

Comey has said he authored the memos in order to aid his memory of various meetings with the president. On Thursday, the classified memos were sent to Congress and subsequently leaked to the press. There are several memos dating from early January to April of 2017, including Comey’s first meeting with Trump to phone calls they had in March of that year.

According to one memo, President Trump told Comey that he had “serious reservations” about the “judgment” of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Flynn would later plead guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations he had with a Russian ambassador.

. . .

During a phone conversation with the president on March 30, Comey and Trump allegedly discussed the Russia investigation and Trump urged Comey to tell the public that he wasn’t under investigation.

“I told him I would see what we could do and we would do the work well and as quickly as we could,” Comey wrote. (Read more from “Comey Memos Leaked — Here’s What They Say” HERE)

Comey’s Memos Indicate Dossier Briefing of Trump Was a Setup

By The Federalist. Newly released memos written by former FBI director James Comey indicate that an early 2017 briefing for then-President-elect Donald Trump about the contents of an infamous dossier was held so it could be leaked to media outlets eager to report on the dossier’s allegations. In multiple memos, Comey specifically mentioned that CNN had the dossier and wanted a “news hook” that would enable the network to report on its most salacious allegations even though they had not been verified.

“I said the Russians allegedly had tapes involving him and prostitutes at the Presidential Suite at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow from about 2013,” Comey wrote of his conversation with Trump in a classified memo that was released in redacted form late Thursday. “I said I wasn’t saying this was true, only that I wanted him to know both that it had been reported and that the reports were in many hands.”

No media organizations had reported the allegations at the time Comey briefed Trump.

“I said media like CNN had them and were looking for a news hook,” Comey added in his memo about the briefing with Trump on January 6, 2017.

In another classified memo written on January 28, 2017, Comey wrote that in a separate meeting Trump mentioned the allegation about the alleged tape of prostitutes at a hotel and called it “fake news.” (Read more from “Comey’s Memos Indicate Dossier Briefing of Trump Was a Setup” HERE)

Violence in Post-Refugee Sweden Reaches Staggering Levels

Much has been written over the past several years about the massive influx of mostly Muslim refugee migrants to Europe and the radical cultural changes those migrants brought with them to the nations they ultimately settled in.

Bear in mind that the overwhelming majority of those migrants weren’t really refugees at all, as the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees admitted in a report. For the year 2015, only about 0.4 percent (less than 300 total) of the 118,000 refugees accepted by other nations around the world were actually in dire need of resettling and could honestly proclaim themselves a refugee, according to The Western Journal.

That means more than 99 percent of those who fled North Africa and the Middle East for western and northern Europe were migrating for economic or criminal purposes, and though that fact is typically downplayed by European governments, the reality of the situation is increasingly intruding on their precious innocent refugees narrative.

Perhaps the most vivid example of this reality is the case of Sweden, a prosperous Scandinavian nation once considered one of the safest countries on earth but which is now wracked with rapidly spiking levels of violent crime, according to a shocking report in Politico.

Sweden took in so many migrants and refugees that the nation was dubbed a “humanitarian superpower,” and the generosity of the nation’s welfare state in conjunction with their open arms for third-world migrants was held up as the “Swedish model” for other progressive nations to emulate.
