Michelle Obama Makes Creepy Comparison to Trump, Says Barack Was the ‘Good Parent’ in White House

By Bizpac Review. Former first lady Michelle Obama took a few jabs at President Donald Trump on Thursday at the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston, even suggesting that her husband, Barack Obama, was the “good parent” in comparison to Trump.

“I think what we see is what happens when we take things for granted,” Obama told Simmons College President Helen Drinan, according to The Hill. “For the eight years Barack was president, it was like having the ‘good parent’ at home. The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”

“And now we have the other parent,” Obama continued, referencing President Trump. “We thought it’d feel fun, maybe it feels fun for now because we can eat candy all day and stay up late and not follow the rules.”

Obama’s seemingly innocous”parent” jabs echo the Democrats deep desire for a nanny state.

Like Hillary, Mrs. Obama blamed women for not being brave enough to vote for another woman. She also echoed Hillary Clinton’s Orwellian desire to “shape” children from the Oval Office in her comments about President Obama being a “parent.”

Michelle Obama: My Husband Was ‘the Good Parent’ Compared to Trump

By The Hill. Former first lady Michelle Obama likened her husband’s presidency to having “the good parent” at home at a women’s leadership conference on Thursday.

At the Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston, Obama appeared to take shots at President Trump’s administration in remarks first reported by local TV station WBZ.

The Obama administration “was like having the ‘good parent’ at home,” the former first lady said. “The responsible parent, the one who told you to eat your carrots and go to bed on time.”

“And now we have the other parent,” Obama added. “We thought it’d feel fun — maybe it feels fun for now because we can eat candy all day and stay up late and not follow the rules.”

During the wide-ranging discussion, Obama also offered praise for Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic nominee and the first woman to secure the nomination of a major U.S. political party. (Read more from “Michelle Obama: My Husband Was ‘the Good Parent’ Compared to Trump” HERE)

WATCH: Stormy Daniels’ Attorney Appears on Megyn Kelly. She Wipes the Floor With Him.

In a contentious and entertaining interview on her morning show Wednesday, Megyn Kelly challenged Michael Avenatti, the lawyer of porn star Stormy Daniels, to defend his client’s rationale for claiming the non-disclosure agreement she signed with Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen in 2016 for $130,000 has “suddenly become invalid.”

“So you represent her, claiming that this agreement is invalid, you say it’s not valid, but she abided by it for 16 months without objection and cashed the $130,000 check that the [future] president’s lawyer gave to her,” she began (video below). “So when did it suddenly become invalid?”

Avenatti responded by claiming that Daniels “had understood during that 16-month time period that [Trump] had actually signed it. She was not provided with a copy of the agreement, but it was her understanding that the [future] president had signed the agreement and that he was upholding his obligations under the agreement.”

Kelly fired back: “His obligation in principle was to pay her $130,000, and that happened.”

“Well not exactly,” said Avenatti. Trump was also obliged to provide “a release of any claims” and to “stay away from her and her family” and “not to comment about her” or allow his agents to comment about her. “And, of course, Mr. Cohen broke that by responding to a report in the Wall Street Journal.” (Read more from “WATCH: Stormy Daniels’ Attorney Appears on Megyn Kelly. FBI Seizes Website Linked to Sex Crimes; Owners Donated to Democrats

By The Daily Wire. On Friday, the U.S. government seized Backpage.com as part of a law enforcement action by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies after the site came under intense legal scrutiny for allegations of facilitating sex trafficking and underage prostitution.

An FBI official said that there was “law enforcement activity” at the home of Michael Lacey, one of the website’s founders, at his home in Arizona, Reuters reported. The seizure banner on the website stated:

backpage.com and affiliated websites have been seized as part of an enforcement action by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division, with analytical assistance from the Joint Regional Intelligence Center.

Other agencies participating in and supporting the enforcement action include the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, the U.S. Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, the office of the California Attorney General, and the office of the Texas Attorney General.

. . .

The owners of the website have given tens of thousands of dollars to Democrats in recent years, including a Super PAC backed by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the failed presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton, Democratic candidate for governor in Arizona David Garcia, and the Arizona Democratic Party (Read more from “FBI Seizes Website Linked to Sex Crimes; Owners Donated to Democrats” HERE)

Online Advertising Site Backpage.com Was Seized by the FBI

By Business Insider. People navigating to the popular classified advertising website Backpage.com on Friday afternoon were stopped by a notice informing them that the site “and all affiliated websites” had been seized by federal authorities.

The site is known for facilitating adult sex ads, and has recently been involved in a number of lawsuits, including one in which a minor alleged that the company edited the contents of a sex ad that her trafficker posted, in order to make her sound like an adult.

Authorities — including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, five other federal agencies, and four state agencies — involved in the case have not shared the exact reason for the seizure. The Department of Justice declined to comment beyond the information in the notice.

The seizure comes a little over a month after Congress passed a law creating stronger rules and penalties to prevent websites from facilitating sex trafficking. On March 23, Craiglist preemptively removed its personals section in fear of violating the law, which penalizes wrongdoers with a fine, up to 10 years in prison, or both. Air Force Colonel Who Refused to ‘Appreciate’ Gay Man’s Spouse Wins Appeal

Decorated Air Force combat pilot Col. Leland Bohannon, who was stripped of his command and denied promotion opportunity for refusing to sign a certificate of appreciation for a retiree’s gay spouse, has won an appeal affirming religious liberty.

Bohannon did not sign the “optional, unofficial” spouse appreciation letter because he has a deeply-held religious objection to gay marriage and did not want to appear to endorse an immoral union – so, he had a superior, a two-star general, sign it.

But, that wasn’t good enough for the indignant gay retiree, who filed a complaint against Bohannon, “Stars and Stripes” reports:

“When the retiring master sergeant found out that Bohannon did not personally sign the spouse certificate, he filed an Equal Opportunity complaint, alleging the colonel unlawfully discriminated against him on the basis of his sexual orientation.”

….

“The Air Force substantiated the airman’s allegations, and Bohannon was subsequently removed from command and for consideration for promotion. He appealed the decision in October.”

Male Democrat Accused of Using Senate’s Women’s Restroom

State police in Colorado have reportedly posted signage and changed the access code to a previously unmarked women’s restroom inside the state Capitol building in Denver, based on complaints that a male Democratic state senator had frequently been using the room, according to media reports.

The lawmaker in question, state Sen. Daniel Kagan, disputes the accusation, saying he used the women’s restroom just one time, by mistake, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

But in March, state Sen. Beth Martinez Humenik filed a workplace sexual harassment complaint against Kagan, contending he had used the women’s restroom “multiple times.”

She claimed, in an interview with KUNC radio, she personally encountered Kagan in the restroom and asked “What are you doing in here?,” and claims other women who work in the Capitol have had “similar experiences.” . . .

The report mentions that Kagan was among a group of Democratic senators who called for the ouster of Republican state Sen. Randy Baumgardner, who had been accused of groping an aide in 2016.

By The Daily Wire. On Tuesday, while speaking during a city council meeting on curtailing gun violence, an African-American gun owner in North Carolina blasted government officials who want to restrict gun rights of law-abiding citizens . . .

“When are you all gonna start standing up for the majority? … I’m the majority! I’m a law-abiding citizen who’s never shot anybody,” Mark Robinson said. “It seems every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet! It doesn’t make any sense.”

Greensboro Neighbors Debate Gun Control at City Council Meeting

By WFMY News. The City Council has been in talks for months over what can be done locally to address gun violence, especially after the mass shooting at a Parkland, Florida High School.

At the City Council meeting Tuesday night, they opened their conversation to neighbors to hear what the community thinks should be done.

Some said there needs to be stricter gun laws. Other neighbors argued that current laws in place protect the rights of lawful gun owners.

“It seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to turn around and restrict my rights,” a man said at the podium . . .

At the meeting, City Council voted to give all proceeds from this year’s Gun and Knife Show to the Greensboro Police Departments’ Gun Stoppers program. The program aims to get illegal guns of the street. (Read more from “Greensboro Neighbors Debate Gun Violence Solutions at City Council Meeting” HERE)

‘Nightmare Bacteria’ Cases Seen in 27 States

By Fox News. More than 220 cases of a breed of “nightmare bacteria” with new or rare antibiotic-resistant genes, have been found in 27 states, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a report released Tuesday.

The CDC has warned of the antibiotic-resistant bacteria for years, but these “nightmare bacteria” are “virtually untreatable” and capable of spreading genes that make them “impervious” to most antibiotics, Scientific American reported.

The nightmare bacteria are particularly deadly in the elderly and people with chronic illnesses, as up to 50 percent of the resulting infections are fatal, Dr. Anne Schuchat, the CDC’s principal deputy director, told the magazine.

Schuchat said at a news conference that the CDC was working to get “in front of them before they do become common,” Live Science reported. (Read more from “‘Nightmare Bacteria’ Cases Seen in 27 States” HERE)

New ‘Nightmare’ Bacteria Are Popping up All Over the U.S.

By Live Science. What’s worse than “nightmare” bacteria that are resistant to nearly all antibiotics? New nightmare bacteria that have the potential to spread their resistance genes to germs in hospitals around the country.

Researchers say that last year, they identified more than 200 cases of these “nightmare” bacteria with new or rare antibiotic-resistance genes, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These rare types of antibiotic-resistant bacteria popped up all over the country, in 27 states.

The good news is that researchers have come up with an aggressive strategy to identify, track and contain these germs, which appears to help stop their spread, according to the report. (Read more from “New ‘Nightmare’ Bacteria Are Popping up All Over the U.S.” HERE)

Explosive Device Detonated in a Sam’s Club; Second Device Found in Suspect’s Car

By The Blaze. An explosive device was detonated in aisle 4 of the Ontario, California Sam’s Club on Thursday. No one was hurt in the incident.

Initially reported as a structure fire when a 911 caller described a “popping sound” within the store, authorities later discovered that the small explosion was intentionally set.

Witness Norman Svikss recalled the incident, saying “It wasn’t like an earth-shaking big explosion. It was like a slow sound, like ‘boom.’ And there’s no smoke, nothing. Then the employees start running around and then they slowly said, ‘Hey, we have to evacuate the building,’ because it’s fire or something.”

After a brief chase, a male suspect was taken into custody when law enforcement detained the individual in a traffic stop three miles from the Sam’s Club. Authorities searched the vehicle and found another (possibly explosive) device. (Read more from “Explosive Device Detonated in a Sam’s Club; Second Device Found in Suspect’s Car” HERE)
