Outrage Erupts Over Nancy Pelosi’s Comments About the NFL – Here’s What She Said

Many on the left were outraged after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was offered the chance to criticize the NFL’s recent decision to punish players who kneel during the national anthem, and didn’t. . .

During a CNN town hall Thursday evening, the Democrat leader was less than critical about the NFL’s rule against players and other personnel who kneel during the performance of the national anthem before a game.

“I would be more okay with it if they had consulted with the players,” Pelosi responded, “I don’t think the players agreed to this. This is the owners, and, by the way, it’s the owners who would be fined.”

“I love the national anthem,” she continued. “I’m from Baltimore. That’s where it was written during the War of 1812. So I’m very possessive of it. Sometimes people say, ‘Maybe we should change the national anthem.’ No.” . . .

In an article by Eugene Scott in the Washington Post, Pelosi’s comments were criticized as an example explaining why the Democrats were unable to court the black Millennial vote.

12 Faces: Some Truly Disturbing Images of James Clapper on the View

As The Federalist points out, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper appeared on The View today and did what was expected. He lied. Yet again.

In watching the clip, what struck me were the obvious signs of anxiety, paranoia, and deception. Judge for yourself by watching the clip or simply inspect the images I snapped below, which were not by any means cherry-picked.

Looking down, looking away, grimacing, and gesticulating wildly — why, yes, all signs of someone completely in his element and comfortable explaining their part in what will surely turn out to be the greatest political scandal in American history.

See for yourself at The Timeline of Treason. (For more from the author of “12 Faces: Some Truly Disturbing Images of James Clapper on the View” please click HERE)

Buyer’s Remorse: Is the Mueller Investigation Helping Trump?

After a full year of nonstop Russia collusion coverage by the mainstream media, are media types finally figuring out the error of their ways? Despite all the attacks on the president and cheering of the Mueller investigation, has the investigation actually helped Trump? The Daily Caller’s Peter Hasson has the details of how the New York Times’ Frank Bruni has reached that conclusion.

Bruni believes that the focus on the investigation has diverted attention from other things Trump has done that he believes people would not like. As examples, Bruni cites Trump’s use of an unsecured phone and Scott Pruitt. Here’s the thing Bruni doesn’t realize: A focus on what Trump has actually accomplished might be even worse for him and his fellow leftists. For example, household income is at its highest level ever in the U.S., and the rubes are giving Trump credit.

Can Cillizza handle the truth? … CNN’s Chris Cillizza asked – probably rhetorically – his followers on Twitter the following question yesterday:

This is simple, Chris. Bill Clinton wasn’t the president in 2016. Donald Trump is the president. He has the power under Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution to run the government of the United States. There is no such thing as an independent agency. That’s why we have elections.

Independent agencies not subject to control by the elected executive, nor subject to oversight by the people’s legislature, have no place in a government of, by, and for the people. I answered Cillizza on Twitter, but he probably didn’t really want responses.

Say what? … The mainstream media’s favorite arbiter of “hate groups” aka “people they disagree with” is the Southern Poverty Law Center, a once proud institution that has turned itself into a hatemonger for hire. Just how outside the mainstream is the SPLC? It just tweeted that Donald Trump and the White House staff are racists, wait for it, because they called MS-13 members “animals.”

The SPLC wasn’t talking about Trump’s misconstrued comments last week. No, it included a screenshot of a White House webpage on MS-13. You’ve got to see this ridiculousness to believe it.

Doubling Down, Not Backing Down: Trump Calls MS-13 ‘Animals’ Again at Immigration Roundtable

Speaking at a border security and immigration roundtable in Long Island Thursday, President Donald Trump doubled down on his comments from last week, calling members of the violent MS-13 gang “animals” again.

“I called them animals the other day, and I was met with rebuke. [Democrats] said, ‘They’re people.’ They’re not people; these are animals and we have to be very, very tough,” Trump said.

He criticized Democrats for “defending” MS-13, calling out House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., by name. The president also said Democrats must “abandon their resistance to border security.” (For more from the author of “Doubling Down, Not Backing Down: Trump Calls MS-13 ‘Animals’ Again at Immigration Roundtable” please click HERE)

‘Eye-Popping’ Number of Children Abducted by Illegals, Used to Pose as Families

A growing number of illegal immigrants are abducting children in order to falsely claim them as family members in an effort to improve their chances of gaining entry into the United States, according to a report Tuesday by The Washington Times.

According to statistics provided by the Department of Homeland Security, there have been 191 cases of children having to be separated because of fraudulent family claims during the first five months of fiscal year 2018. That far exceeds the 46 cases reported for all of 2017.

That puts the U.S. on pace for more than 400 such attempts this year, which equates to a 900-percent increase over last fiscal year.

“The eye-popping increase in fraud and abuse shows that these smugglers know it’s easier to get released into America if they are part of a family and if they bring unaccompanied alien children,” Katie Waldman, a Homeland Security spokeswoman, told the newspaper.

“These loopholes make a mockery of our nation’s laws, and Congress must act to close these legal loopholes and secure our borders.”

As the number of families seeking to enter the country increases, the number of cases where illegal immigrants who aren’t even related to the children are showing up and fraudulently claiming to be families is on the rise.

The Times says its research found Honduran men on multiple occasions have attempted to cross into Texas with unrelated children in tow and bogus birth certificates claiming to show parentage.

The paper says not all of these cases involve abductions. Some involve children whose parents knowingly lend them to friends looking to pose as a family.

The paper says Border Patrol agents are also seeing instances of parents with multiple children splitting up to enter the U.S., said Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council.

He said the parents know that if they came as a couple along with their children, one parent might be separated, leaving just the other parent with the children. But if they cross individually, each with a child, agents won’t separate the child from someone who appears to be a single parent.

The Times report says authorities attribute the surge to an overall increase in attempts to jump the border and to a series of court rulings at the end of the Obama administration that created the family catch-and-release policy.

“In those rulings, U.S. District Judge Dolly M. Gee … ruled that the children should generally be released from Homeland Security custody within 20 days. But she also ruled that the children are best-served when they are placed with their parents, so it made sense for the entire family to be released from custody,” the Times report said.

The Obama Justice Department actually argued that Gee’s 2016 ruling created an incentive for people to bring children on the dangerous journey — and in some cases to kidnap children to pose as families.

“When people now know that when I come as a family unit, I won’t be apprehended and detained — we now have people being abducted so that they can be deemed as family units, so that they can avoid detention,” Leon Fresco, deputy assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s office of immigration litigation, told the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at the time.

Critics of the president claim the number of children who brought into the country by someone who has abducted them is much smaller than the number of children being separated from their actual parents by the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance prosecution policy of illegal border crossers.

In a meeting last week with DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, President Donald Trump blamed Democrats for the laws being enforced at the border.

“It’s a horrible thing where you have to break up families,” Trump said. “The Democrats gave us that law and they don’t want to do anything about it. They’ll leave it like that ’cause they don’t want to make any changes. And now you’re breaking up families because of the Democrats. It’s terrible.” (For more from the author of “‘Eye-Popping’ Number of Children Abducted by Illegals, Used to Pose as Families” please click HERE)

Watch: You Need to Meet This Guy Who Fought a Crocodile to Impress a Girl

An 18-year-old Australian man jumped into crocodile-infested waters to impress a girl. He nearly lost his arm, but he did score a date.

Lee De Paauw was attacked by a crocodile last year in his efforts to impress Sophie Paterson, a young British tourist. After numerous alcoholic beverages, De Paauw told the young lady that “backpackers are more likely to get eaten by a crocodile than Australians.” To “test the theory,” he decided to jump into the dangerous waters.

“I was thinking, s***, I’m gone,” he said of the moment a crocodile first attacked him. “I’m gone for sure.”

The crocodile bit his arm and took him under. Though he suffered serious damage to his arm, the Aussie was able to escape the attack by punching the animal in the snout and then gouging its eye. “I punched it in the snout and on my second hit I got it straight in the eye and then it let go,” he told 9 News. . .

“I done it for Sophie; she’s beautiful, caring, and kind,” he said of Paterson, with whom he managed to score a movie date. (Read more from “Watch: You Need to Meet This Guy Who Fought a Crocodile to Impress a Girl” HERE)

Watch: CNN Interviews Man Who Won’t Move out of Parents’ Home. It’s Embarrassing.

In an interview on Wednesday, CNN spoke with a 30-year-old man who was legally evicted in court from his parent’s home in New York this week after they had asked him to move out multiple times. It was cringe-worthy.

In the ridiculous interview, Michael Rotondo discussed his embarrassing story with CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, saying that he views his parents’ attempts to get him to move out as “attacks.”

“Let me just understand because I hear you on your parents giving you notices, the fact that you are on national television talking about moving out of your parents’ house, you tell me you want to move out of your parents’ house,” Baldwin said. “Why don’t you just move out of your parents’ house like tomorrow?”

Exposed: Obama Advisor’s Emails in Immediate Sandy Hook Aftermath Reveal Anti-Gun Agenda

According to emails obtained via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, first reported by The Baltimore Post, advisors to then-President Barack Obama immediately strategized how to exploit the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary school to push their gun control agenda. “Tap peoples [sic] emotions,” Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel advised then-Education Secretary Arne Duncan on December 16, 2012, just two days after the massacre that left 26 dead. The victims’ bodies were yet to be laid to rest.

The two discussed how they could exploit the tragedy to bring about their anti-gun agenda. “What are your thoughts?” Duncan asked Emanuel on an email with the subject line, “CT shooting.”

“Go for a vote this week asap before it fades,” replied Emanuel. “Tap peoples [sic] emotion. Make it simple assault weapons.” . . .

Emanuel served as the Obama White House Chief of Staff from 2008 to January of 2009. Fittingly, the ruthless politico famously said, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste, and what I mean by that is, it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” The murder of 20 children included, apparently. . .

Duncan has been under fire following the Parkland, Florida school shooting that transpired earlier this year, as the shooter’s repeated bad behavior was reportedly swept under the rug due to a school program intended to close the gap in the racial disparity in public school disciplinary records, including criminal actions. Such a program was a model for the Obama Administration’s infamous “Dear Colleague” letter in 2014 directing schools to do the same. As reported by The Daily Wire in April, the seemingly well-intentioned program has resulted in alleged rape, violence, murder, extreme bullying, and cover-ups. University Under Federal Investigation for Anti-Male Discrimination

The U.S. Department of Education is officially investigating allegations that the University of Southern California excludes male students from certain educational opportunities. . .

According a January 28 letter obtained by Campus Reform, the department’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has agreed to investigate four USC initiatives, including the school’s Smart Women’s Securities chapter and the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) chapter.

Both of these programs allegedly discriminate “by excluding male students from participation and providing opportunities for female students only,” according to the OCR letter, which notes that many female-only scholarships at USC are also under investigation.

The OCR agreed to launch an investigation after Kursat Christoff Pekgoz, a lecturer and Provost’s Fellow at USC, filed a Title IX complaint against the institution in October 2017. Though the OCR initially dismissed his complaint, Pekgoz filed an appeal, and the dismissal was overturned just two weeks after his January 18 interview with an OCR official.

“The attorney who initially dismissed it cited a Dear Colleague Letter from 2016 which apparently allowed sex-selective scholarships ‘for the underrepresented sex,’” Pekgoz explained, saying he won the appeal by pointing out that—unlike during the 1970s when Title IX was put into law—women are no longer underrepresented in higher education. NFL Owners Announce Proposed Policy Change, Penalty for Kneeling During Anthem

On the same day the NFL announced a $89 million commitment to social justice programs to combat inequality, team owners met for what’s being described as “a privileged session to speak about the most sensitive of topics,” to include players kneeling during the national anthem.

And in a clear sign owners understand the divisive issue hurt the league, and that President Donald Trump was right in taking a stance against players who disrespect the American flag — the president called on the NFL to “change policy” — the owners reportedly discussed the idea of imposing a 15-yard penalty for kneeling, according to Sports Illustrated.

The idea discussed, according to the sports magazine, was that home teams would decide if the teams are to come out for the playing of the national anthem, and if so, any players kneeling would draw a 15-yard penalty. . .

The league was rocked with controversy last season after former NFL player Colin Kaepernick began a trend in the 2016 season of kneeling during the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality.

The protests took off in 2017 after then-Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett — now with Philadelphia — claimed that he was detained outside a Las Vegas casino for “simply being a black man.” The 6′ 4″ 274 lb. professional football player said officers used excessive force that was “unbearable,” and that one cop threatened to “blow my f**king head off.” (Read more from “NFL Owners Announce Proposed Policy Change, Penalty for Kneeling During Anthem” HERE)
