New DOJ Report: 1-In-5 Federal Prisoners Are Illegal Aliens

A new Department of Justice report released Thursday reveals 20 percent of federally incarcerated individuals in the United States are illegal aliens, costing taxpayers $1.5 million per day. Many of these individuals committed serious and violent crimes, in additional to entering the country illegally.

From the findings:

A total of 57,820 known or suspected aliens were in in DOJ custody at the end of FY 2018 Q1, including 38,132 persons in BOP custody and 19,688 in USMS custody. Of this total, 42,284 people had been confirmed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be aliens (i.e., non-citizens and non-nationals), while 15,536 aliens were still under investigation by ICE to determine alienage and/or removability.

Among the 42,284 confirmed aliens, 39,413 people (93 percent) were unlawfully present. These numbers include a 62 percent unlawful rate among 38,132 known or suspected aliens in BOP custody and a 78 percent unlawful rate among 19,688 confirmed aliens in USMS custody.

. . .

“The illegal immigrant crime rate in this country should be zero,” Attorney General Sessions released in a statement. “Every crime committed by an illegal alien is, by definition, a crime that should have been prevented. It is outrageous that tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year because of the drugs and violence brought over our borders illegally and that taxpayers have been forced, year after year, to pay millions of dollars to incarcerate tens of thousands of illegal aliens. That is another reason why the Department of Justice under President Trump’s leadership has instituted a zero tolerance policy for illegal entry on our Southwest border. Today’s report is yet another reminder that we must continue this policy and help fulfill President Trump’s goals of restoring lawfulness to our immigration system and ensure that immigration serves the good of this country.”

50 Years After RFK Was Killed, Here Are 5 Reasons Why His Own Son Doesn’t Believe the Official Story

On June 5, 1968, Senator Robert F. Kennedy had just won the California Democratic presidential primary when he was shot following a speech at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. As Americans remember the tragic night 50 years ago, Kennedy’s son is joining with one of the survivors of the shooting to call for a new investigation.

Below are five bombshell reasons explaining exactly why Robert Kennedy Jr. is justified in calling for this investigation into who killed his father.

1. Forensic scientists claim the audio of the shooting includes 13 shots from two guns, but the “lone gunman” blamed for the shooting only had one gun with eight bullets

Sirhan Sirhan was quickly convicted of shooting and killing Kennedy, and he was labeled as the “lone gunman” in the assassination. According to reports, he opened fire on Kennedy with a .22-caliber revolver from three feet away, while the presidential candidate was greeting staff members in the hotel’s kitchen.

Sirhan’s first bullet hit the head of Kennedy’s aide, Paul Schrade, who was standing six feet behind Kennedy. His second bullet missed completely, and he fired the last six bullets, wounding four other people before he was taken down by two hotel staff members who grabbed his gun. However, while it was only physically possible for Sirhan to have fired eight shots, audio expert Phil Van Praag determined that 13 shots had been fired from at least two guns.

2. The autopsy report shows the bullet that killed Kennedy entered his skull behind his right ear—but Sirhan was standing in front of him

The timing and layout of the shooting placed Sirhan in front of Kennedy the entire time, but the autopsy report showed that the fatal shot that took Kennedy’s life, entered his skill from behind his right ear. Yet investigators have failed to explain the multiple other bullet holes that were found in the kitchen, or how it was possible for Sirhan to have fired the shot that killed Kennedy.

After he survived the shooting, Schrade has devoted years to pushing for a new investigation and calling for justice for Sirhan—the man who allegedly shot him in the head. In a statement, Schrade said, “The LAPD and LA DA knew two hours after the fatal shooting of Robert Kennedy that he was shot by a second gunman and they had conclusive evidence that Sirhan Bishara Sirhan could not and did not do it. The official record shows that [the prosecution at Sirhan’s trial] never had one witness—and had no physical nor ballistic evidence—to prove Sirhan shot Robert Kennedy.”

3. Multiple witnesses have testified that there was a second gunman

In addition to Schrade’s claim that a second gunman was responsible for Kennedy’s death, actress Nina Rhodes-Hughes was a witness to the shooting, and she has testified that she believes there was more than one shooter. She was behind Kennedy when the shooting started, and while she remembers seeing Sirhan in front of her, she claims she heard multiple shots fired from her right-hand side.

Rhodes-Hughes told the Vancouver Sun that not a single police officer questioned her the night of the shooting, and it was more than a month before FBI agents arrived at her home for an interview. She said even though she told them that she heard 12 or 13 shots ring out, the agents’ notes claimed she said she heard eight rounds—the exact number of bullets in Sirhan’s gun—and she was never called to testify in court.

4. Sirhan has spent 50 years claiming he does not remember shooting Robert Kennedy

Sirhan has adamantly claimed that he does not remember the shooting or the events surrounding it. Harvard psychologist Dr. Daniel Brown spent 60 hours interviewing Sirhan over the course of three years leading up to his last parole hearing in 2011, and he determined that Sirhan had likely been subjected to coercive suggestive influence and hypnotic programming.

As The Free Thought Project has reported, the CIA’s MKUltra program was ongoing at the time and Dr. Brown’s colleague, former Georgetown Law Professor Alan Scheflin, “discovered at least three redacted documents describing ‘successful assassinations’ in other countries using the unconscious assassination method,” in which a combination of sensory deprivation, hallucinogenic drugs and hypnosis were used to train unconscious assassins.

5. Police have been accused of destroying evidence, threatening witnesses and intentionally ignoring the possibility of a second shooter.

Los Angeles Police and prosecutors have faced heavy scrutiny in the years since they were instrumental in Sirhan’s conviction. Prosecutors intentionally withheld the autopsy report from Sirhan’s defense lawyers for the first six weeks of the trial, and police “failed to investigate an armed private-security guard who was walking behind Kennedy at precisely the angle where the fatal shots to Kennedy’s head and back were fired,” according to a report from the Washington Post.

In addition to failing to prevent vital evidence at the trial, Los Angeles Police burned 2,140 police photographs related to the shooting, and incinerated thousands of documents and pieces of evidence from the case, including doorframes with bullet holes that proved more than eight shots were fired.

Kennedy was pronounced dead 26 hours after he was shot and while there have been many theories surrounding his death, the 50th anniversary marks the first time his son, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has openly called for a new investigation and after visiting the convicted killer in prison, he has said he does not believe that Sirhan Sirhan was responsible for his father’s death.

“I got to a place where I had to see Sirhan,” Kennedy said just after he visited and talked to the man sitting in jail for killing his dad. “I went there because I was curious and disturbed by what I had seen in the evidence,” said Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and the third oldest of his father’s 11 children. “I was disturbed that the wrong person might have been convicted of killing my father. My father was the chief law enforcement officer in this country. I think it would have disturbed him if somebody was put in jail for a crime they didn’t commit.”

Google, Facebook, Amazon All Work With Southern Poverty Law Center to Censor Sites Like Restoring Liberty

Four of the world’s biggest tech platforms have working partnerships with a left-wing nonprofit that has a track record of inaccuracies and routinely labels conservative organizations as “hate groups.”

Facebook, Amazon, Google and Twitter all work with or consult the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in policing their platforms for “hate speech” or “hate groups,” a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.

The SPLC is on a list of “external experts and organizations” that Facebook works with “to inform our hate speech policies,” Facebook spokeswoman Ruchika Budhraja told TheDCNF in an interview. . .

Amazon grants the SPLC that power “because we don’t want to be biased whatsoever,” said the spokeswoman, who could not say whether Amazon considers the SPLC to be unbiased.

The Smile program allows customers to identify a charity to receive 0.5 percent of the proceeds from their purchases on Amazon. Customers have given more than $8 million to charities through the program since 2013, according to Amazon. Watch: Two Transgenders Blow out Girls in State Meet

. . .On Monday, when Connecticut had its State Open track and field championships at Willow Brook Park, one person broke the State Open records for girls in both the 100 and 200-meter runs. . .

Terry Miller of Bulkeley, a transgender, won the events. In the 100 meter dash, the runner-up was Andraya Yearwood of Cromwell, also a transgender.

Yearwood won the Class M sprint titles last year; Miller competed on the boys’ team during the winter indoor season then joined the girls’ competition.

Asked about the two girls who worked for years who got knocked out of the finals by Miller and Yearwood and the two girls who finished seventh and eighth in the finals who were denied a chance to compete in the New England championships, CIAC executive director Karissa Niehoff said, “We do feel for them. Fully agree it doesn’t feel good. The optic isn’t good. But we really do have to look at the bigger issues that speak to civil rights and the fact this is high school sports.” (Read more from “Watch: Two Transgenders Blow out Girls in State Meet” HERE)

Kashuv: We Need to Stop School Shootings and Here’s How

More than three months have passed since a deranged teenager came into my high school and killed more than a dozen of my classmates. Yet the same old discussions keep going on and on and on — despite the fact that the people having these discussions keep saying something needs to change.

Many of the most vocal activists aren’t actually interested in change. They continue pushing the same old tired ideas in the same old tired way, but expecting a different response. Their only solution is gun control, which the American people have rejected for decades. They’ve got the media convinced, they’ve got celebrities convinced, and they’ve got billions of dollars at their disposal to saturate social media in ads in hopes that people will become convinced that their ideas are the right approach. . .

We need to get real about mental health care in this country. Affordable, accessible mental health care is essential. A person who would inflict the level of terror we’ve seen so far is sick — and he needs help. Yet, in America, it’s hard to get help. Access to mental health care needs to be easy, affordable, and prioritized.

We all need to be educated on the warning signs of a person in crisis. The refrain is the same after each one of these incidents — the shooter was a loner, someone who scared people, a person who was already on police radar. It’s only practical that we educate communities on recognizing the signs of an at-risk person, and teach them actionable steps to take.

We should take school security seriously. Gun-free zone signs don’t help. It’s absurd to think that they do. We protect our state houses, our sporting venues, and our concert halls with security. Why don’t we do the same for our children? (Read more from “Kashuv: We Need to Stop School Shootings and Here’s How” HERE)

Girl, 5, Bullied for Saying Grace Before Meal

. . .It happened at a Scottish state school where the parents of a 5-year-old report their daughter was bullied for saying grace before a meal. . .

The parents said their daughter was “happy” growing up but, but grew depressed and dreaded school after being mocked, over and over, for expressing her Christian beliefs.

“A 5-year-old saying grace before lunch is not hurting anyone and she should be free to do that,” said Forbes. “I do think it is becoming more difficult for people with faith and that means that the schools and authorities have to do more to make sure schools are an inclusive environment.”

Free Church of Scotland minister Rev. Alasdair Macleod pointed out a “growing problem” of intolerance toward Christian students.

“It feels to me that schools are becoming an increasingly hostile environment for Christian pupils, and this hostility must stop,” he said. “Bullying, mocking or intimidation towards pupils on the basis of their Christian faith is unacceptable and needs to be recognized as such.” (Read more from “Girl, 5, Bullied for Saying Grace Before Meal” HERE)

NASA: Organic Matter Found on Mars

By WND. NASA announced Thursday its Curiosity rover has found organic matter preserved on Mars, suggesting the red planet may have once been home to life.

“The chances of being able to find signs of ancient life with future missions, if life ever was present, just went up,” said Curiosity’s project scientist, Ashwin Vasavada of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.

Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, said that with the new findings, “Mars is telling us to stay the course and keep searching for evidence of life.” . . .

NASA describes the Mars Curiosity rover, launched Nov. 6, 2011, as the most technologically advanced rover ever built. It landed on Gale Crater on Aug. 6, 2012, with the aim of determining whether Mars ever had the capacity to support microbial life.

The rover already has analyzed a rock sample collected by the vehicle in 2013 showing ancient Mars could have supported living microbes. It also detected other organic molecules in a rock-powder sample collected by its drill. (Read more from “NASA: Organic Matter Found on Mars” HERE)

New Discoveries on Mars Are Advancing the Case for Life on the Red Planet

By TIME. New Mars discoveries are advancing the case for possible life on the red planet, past or even present.

Scientists reported Thursday that NASA’s Curiosity rover has found potential building blocks of life in an ancient Martian lakebed. Hints have been found before, but this is the best evidence yet.

The organic molecules preserved in 3.5 billion-year-old bedrock in Gale Crater — believed to once contain a shallow lake the size of Florida’s Lake Okeechobee — suggest conditions back then may have been conducive to life. That leaves open the possibility that microorganisms once populated our planetary neighbor and might still exist there.

“The chances of being able to find signs of ancient life with future missions, if life ever was present, just went up,” said Curiosity’s project scientist, Ashwin Vasavada of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
