Bishops’ Names to Be Removed From Diocese Buildings for Not Protecting Kids From Sex Abuse

A Catholic bishop ordered the names of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, diocese bishops who preceded him since the 1940s be removed from all diocesan properties, since the bishops didn’t protect children from sexual abuse, PennLive reported.

Ronald Gainer, the bishop of the Harrisburg diocese, also released the names of 71 individuals accused of child sex crimes. Of the names listed, 37 were priests in the Harrisburg diocese, three were diocese deacons, six were diocese seminarians, nine were clergy from other dioceses, and 16 were from religious communities, WHTM-TV reported. . .

One official with Villanova University — a Catholic college in the Philadelphia area — told the outlet that Gainer’s decision was “gutsy.”

“I commend him for stepping forward and showing that the responsibility, the real problem lies with church leadership,” Charles Zech, director of the school’s Center for Church Management and Business Ethics, told PennLive.

He added to the outlet that “you hear it here and there when someone has been found to not have lived the perfect life, but to remove all of the names is unprecedented. I applaud him for recognizing that they all have been culpable.” (Read more from “Bishops’ Names to Be Removed From Diocese Buildings for Not Protecting Kids From Sex Abuse” HERE)

UNCOVERED: Socialist Ocasio-Cortez Campaign Funded by Soros, Young Turks

Researcher Richard Weinstein joined Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere on Wednesday’s show to discuss his stunning discovery of the deep pockets behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “grassroots” campaign.

Wondering how Ocasio-Cortez achieved her primary win in the 14th district of New York without really knowing any policy, Weinstein began a preliminary search for answers. He quickly discovered that in 2017, Ocasio-Cortez’s website belonged to a group called “Brand New Congress.”

By following the “bouncing ball,” Weinstein soon found out that Brand New Congress is a group dedicated to flooding “the playing field with progressives.” BNC’s co-founder, Saikat Chakrabarti, appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show to discuss how the group is “capitalizing on Bernie Sanders’ appeal.”

The trail then leads from Saikat Chakrabarti to an affiliated organization called “Justice Democrats,” which is co-founded by Cenk Uygur, a far-left founder and host of The Young Turks.

Trump to Sessions: Stop Mueller Probe Now

By CNBC. President Donald Trump on Wednesday called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe immediately, escalating his attacks on the inquiry.

“Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now,” the president wrote in a post on Twitter. “Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!”

Trump’s tweet came before the trial of ex-campaign chief Paul Manafort entered its second day in federal court in Virginia. Manafort is being tried by Mueller’s team. . .

Later Wednesday, ABC News, citing sources said that Trump’s tweetstorm was sparked by the president learning within the past day or so that Mueller’s office wants to question him about obstruction of justice. ABC said Mueller “will limit the scope of questioning and would like to ask questions both orally and written for the President to respond to.”

Sessions, who endorsed Trump’s presidential bid during the 2016 campaign, recused himself from the Russia investigation last March, before Mueller was appointed as special counsel to investigate both foreign interference in the presidential election, and possible collusion with Russians with the Trump campaign. The investigation is being overseen by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has defended Mueller against critics in Congress. (Read more from “Trump to Sessions: Stop Mueller Probe Now” HERE)

Donald Trump Tells Sessions to Shut Down Mueller Probe; Aides Quickly Play Down Remarks

By USA Today. . .Democratic lawmakers seized on Trump’s tweet, saying it was a clear effort to thwart justice.

“This is an attempt to obstruct justice hiding in plain sight,” tweeted Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

The president’s lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, said his client “was expressing his opinion on his favored medium” for communicating, not issuing an order to his attorney general.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said Trump made clear that he wanted to see Mueller finish the investigation. . .

Mueller is investigating Russian attempts to sway the 2016 election toward Trump and whether anyone from Trump’s presidential campaign cooperated with Moscow. He is examining whether there were any attempts to obstruct the investigation. (Read more from “Donald Trump Tells Sessions to Shut Down Mueller Probe; Aides Quickly Play Down Remarks” HERE)

Washington Post: Underage Drinking Is a Bigger Threat Than Illegally Voting in American Elections

In an article published Wednesday deriding President Donald Trump for his statement that “if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID,” then you should be required to have an ID to vote, the Washington Post argued that underage alcohol consumption is a bigger issue than illegals voting in American elections.

“Without wading into the debate over whether voter ID laws have utility on the merits, consider how Trump tried to sell it: with an immediately obvious untrue example. Even if his argument was that you needed an ID to buy alcohol, which is likely where his defenders will soon land on the subject, the analogy breaks down rapidly. Laws stipulate that minors can’t buy alcohol for largely obvious reasons, but minors persist in trying to do so. One person buying alcohol at the age of 18 can have negative repercussions that one person voting illegally almost certainly wouldn’t,” the Post said [emphasis added].

The Post followed the argument with a rather bizarre comment that voter fraud is “not the sort of anti-establishment rule-breaking in which teens are clamoring to engage,” suggesting the president’s concerns of voter fraud were with underage American youths, rather than with illegal immigrants voting.

After all, foreign interference in American elections is not that big of a deal, right? (For more from the author of “Washington Post: Underage Drinking Is a Bigger Threat Than Illegally Voting in American Elections” please click HERE)

Developing: State Pushes Bill That Appears to Ban Sale of Bibles

A new California pro-LGBTQ bill that would ban the sale or distribution of materials related to “conversion therapy” easily passed the state’s assembly on Thursday.

CBS News affiliate KOVR reported the final tally was 50-14. Assembly Bill 2943 now heads to the Democrat-controlled Senate.

The bill would make it an unlawful business practice to engage in any “transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” aimed at “sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.”

Goods would include any books or written materials, while services would encompass counseling individuals seeking to address same-sex attractions.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “One key part of the debate centers on whether Assembly Bill 2943 would stretch beyond businesses that charge for (conversion) programs and extend to printed documents, even Bibles.”

The Bible clearly teaches that homosexual conduct is a sin and instructs Christians to abstain from it.

The Apostle Paul records that people he ministered to “were” homosexuals among other types of sinners, but they were transformed by the Spirit of God — through the renewing of their minds — into their new identities as born again children of God.

The Times reported that an analysis by the Assembly Judiciary Committee says the bill would apply only to services that purport to change a person’s sexual orientation and are offered “on a commercial basis, as well as the advertising and offering of such services.”

However, Randy Thomasson with SaveCalifornia.com told CBN News that the bill’s actual language is very broad and can easily be brought to bear on Christian ministries.

“So, this is a pastor speaking, you pay a ticket to hear him speak. He speaks about overcoming same-sex desires. Hey, that could be outlawed. A church sells a book about overcoming same-sex desires. There’s a sale, there’s a transaction, that could be banned,” Thomasson said.

“This is very expansive, very tyrannical and absolutely squashing free speech, religious freedom and basic choice of people. This is an anti-freedom, anti-American bill,” he added.

A basic freedom taken is the ability to seek the treatment of one’s own choice.

“AB 2943 would start by saying, ok, nobody can get counseling to overcome same-sex desires… ok, so no help for adult children, adults who were molested as kids and now they are adults and they say I want help to overcome these feelings. No help for you,” Thomasson explained.

Asked specifically about whether Bibles could be banned, Thomasson said it is entirely foreseeable that people might try to enforce the law in that manner.

“Well, you could see this law going into effect. A church bookstore selling the Bible, of course, selling a book about marriage or sexual purity or overcoming homosexuality or overcoming trans-sexuality. You could see a member of the public or even a member of the state government coming and saying, ‘Hey, that’s illegal,’” he stated.

The religious liberty group Alliance Defending Freedom released a legal memo in opposition to AB 2943 last month explaining why it likely does not pass constitutional muster regarding freedom of speech or the free exercise of religion.

“At its core, AB 2943 outlaws speech, whether offered by a licensed counselor, a best-selling author, or even a minister or religious leader,” the memo states.

“It targets a specific message—that an adult who is experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction or gender identity confusion can find help to address those issues—for censorship. The breadth of this censorship is staggering.”

Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, also expressed concern about the bill.

“This proposed legislation goes to the very foundations of free speech and religious liberty and is both reckless and harmful,” Moore said in a statement Tuesday. “This bill essentially outlaws views of sexual ethics held by most Christians, Orthodox Jews, Muslims and many others, all over the world and throughout history. If passed, it would have a chilling effect on religious institutions teaching their own beliefs, and would be a harm to all citizens, religious or not, by eroding basic First Amendment protections.

“My hope is the California Senate would demonstrate a commitment to the Bill of Rights and refuse to pass this deeply destructive bill.” (For more from the author of “Developing: State Pushes Bill That Appears to Ban Sale of Bibles” please click HERE)

U.S. Sanctions Turkish Officials Over Pastor’s Detention

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced on Wednesday that the United States will impose sanctions on Turkish officials in response to the imprisonment of American pastor Andrew Brunson in Turkey.

“At the president’s direction, the Department of Treasury is sanctioning Turkey’s Minister of Justice and Minister of Interior, both of whom played leading roles in the arrest and detention of pastor Brunson,” Sanders said. “As a result, any property or interest in property of both ministers within U.S. jurisdiction is blocked and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with them.”

“We’ve seen no evidence that Pastor Brunson has done anything wrong and we believe he is a victim of unfair and unjust detention by the government of Turkey,” Sanders stated.

The sanctions are directed at Minister of Justice Abdulhamit Gul and Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu. A U.S. Treasury Department press release said the officials “serve as leaders of Turkish government organizations responsible for implementing Turkey’s serious human rights abuses.” Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin called Brunson’s detention “simply unacceptable.”

Brunson is an evangelical pastor from North Carolina who was arrested by Turkish authorities in 2016 after the failed coup attempt. He was accused of having ties to the Kurdistan Workers Party and U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, who is alleged by the Turkish government to have been behind much of the unrest. Viral Portrait of Trump ‘Crossing the Swamp’ Sets off Internet Firestorm

Painter Jon McNaughton, a Utah resident with a record of creating artwork about President Donald Trump and his administration that has already brought him praise from Trump supporters and angry criticism from Trump opponents, has unveiled his latest piece. . .

McNaughton’s updated version of that iconic image shows Trump and his inner circle aboard a rickety boat, navigating a crossing of the Washington “swamp.”

According to McNaughton’s website, the other figures are, from left: United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, Defense Secretary James Mattis, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, first daughter Ivanka Trump, National Security Advisor John Bolton, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway (she’s hard to see), and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

The symbolism is obvious. Just as George Washington led a small army to fight against the seemingly invincible British empire during the American Revolution, Trump and his band of cabinet secretaries are battling the seemingly impregnable swamp of Washington, D.C. . .

Netflix Continues Catering to Leftist Causes With Disturbing New Documentary

A feature rarely mentioned about the Black Panther movement of the 1960s was its pro-Hitlerism. This racist group openly admired Adolf Hitler. Although they bellowed about the “evil” white race, what really motivated them was their hatred of Jews. . .

Then and now, white and black leftists cleansed their history of these fascist views, instead focusing on the community breakfast and free education programs Black Panthers designed for the black poor.

Such airbrushed history might be emulated by Netflix, if we are to judge by their news release for an upcoming documentary on Nation of Islam founder Louis Farrakhan, scheduled to air in August.

The documentary’s title, “The Honourable Louis Farrakhan: My Life’s Journey Through Music,” indicates that its focus will be on his former career as a calypso singer and what Netflix calls “faith-based family-values.”

But Farrakhan’s actual “values” involved a black version of Hitler’s racist ideology, in which Farrakhan replaces Hitler’s “superior” Anglo-Saxon race with a black one that is superior to the white race. In his demented version of history, the white race was the creation of an “evil black scientist” 6,600 years ago. Trump Supporters Score Huge Federal Win After Being Attacked in Sanctuary City

A lawsuit by Donald Trump supporters attacked after a campaign event in San Jose, California, back in the summer of 2016 can proceed with a lawsuit against the city, under a ruling by a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the lawsuit alleges that police officers in the sanctuary city deliberately exposed the Trump backers to danger as they were filing out of the building where the June 2016 rally was held.

“After the rally at the McEnery Convention Center, police directed those in attendance to leave from a single exit. There, according to the lawsuit, they were ordered to head out onto a street where hundreds of anti-Trump protesters were waiting, even though a safer route and other exits were available,” the Chronicle reported.

“Twenty plaintiffs in the suit said they were beaten or struck by objects thrown by the protesters, and one plaintiff said an officer told her that police had been instructed not to intervene. The plaintiffs said police arrested three people for allegedly assaulting officers, but no one for attacking Trump supporters.”

The judges ruled that if what the supporters allege in the lawsuit is accurate, “the officers acted with deliberate indifference to a known and obvious danger” and “violated the Trump supporters’ constitutional rights.” (Read more from “Trump Supporters Score Huge Federal Win After Being Attacked in Sanctuary City” HERE)

Migrant Who ‘Hero’ Student Stopped From Being Deported Sentenced for Assault

The Swedish student who was branded a “hero” and captured worldwide attention after she stopped the deportation of an Afghan migrant by refusing to sit down on a plane instead prevented the extradition of a man sentenced for assault and whose asylum application was rejected.

Elin Ersson, a student at Gothenburg University, was subjected to fawning media coverage over her stunt earlier this month when she refused to take her seat on the plane until the 52-year-old Afghan deportee was released. She was successful and authorities weren’t able to deport the man.

However, Swedish Police confirmed to Fox News that the man whose deportation Ersson prevented had received a prison sentence in Sweden for assault. The police spokesman declined to go into more details about the crime the migrant has committed. His asylum application was also rejected. . .

One of the largest newspapers in Finland, Helsingin Sanomat, reported last week as well that the man was sentenced for assault. The man will still eventually be deported, though the date remains unknown, the newspaper reported.

Despite lacking information about the man who was being deported, most media organizations jumped on the story, with the Washington Post calling Ersson’s stunt a “dramatic act of civil disobedience” while Newsweek magazine described the student as a “hero”.
