Shooter Targets Back to School Event — Runs Into a Good Guy With a Gun

A Florida back to school event could have made tragic headlines on Saturday if not for the presence — and quick thinking — of a good guy with a legal license to carry a firearm.

“Peace in the City,” the event which was held in Titusville, Fla., was billed as a “day of fun” with “no violence” — but that didn’t stop a man (as yet unidentified by authorities) from returning to the location after a fistfight and opening fire.

Dwight Harvey, father of the event’s organizer, was on hand taking a live video of the event. Students were collecting and distributing school supplies as the shots first rang out.

A bystander with a legal license to carry a firearm quickly engaged the shooter, preventing what could certainly have been disastrous. The shooter was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but no other casualties have been reported.

Reporter Airs Death Threat Aimed at Co-Host, Himself

CNN’s Brian Stelter, on his Sunday show “Reliable Sources,” aired a death threat that was aimed at both himself and fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon.

Stelter played back audio of a C-SPAN caller who said that, if he ever ran into him or Lemon on the street, he would shoot them.

Stelter made it clear that his goal was not to elicit sympathy, and that he was not actually in fear for his life. “I know some of my colleagues get much worse threats than I do,” he explained. “And CNN has a great security team, and we know how to handle this stuff.” . . .

Stelter conceded that there have “always been unhinged people in the world” — a fact that can’t be tied to President Trump — but ended on a quote from New York Times’ Bret Stephens: “We are approaching a day when blood on the newsroom floor will be blood on the president’s hands.” (Read more from “Reporter Airs Death Threat Aimed at Don Lemon, Himself” HERE)

Just Released: Here’s What the FBI Is Hiding About Christopher Steele

By The Daily Caller. The FBI released its internal records on Christopher Steele, the former British spy behind the controversial “Russia dossier.”

One problem: Nearly every page has been redacted.

The total records, made public Friday, span 71 pages and contains various documents showing payments to Steele, who is referred to as a “Confidential Human Source,” over an unlisted period of time.

While most of the documents are nearly completely redacted, they do show that in February 2016 the FBI had “admonished” Steele. (Read more from “Just Released: Here’s What the Fbi Is Hiding About Christopher Steele” HERE)

FBI Paid Dossier Author Christopher Steele, Heavily Redacted Documents Show

By RT. The FBI has released 70 pages of documents related to contacts with British spy Christopher Steele, author of the notorious Trump-Russia dossier. Though almost entirely whited out, the documents still show FBI paid Steele.

The documents were released on Friday after the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch sued to get access to them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The release consists of fifteen FD-1023 source reports, thirteen FD-209a contact reports, eleven FD-794b payment requests, a FD-1040a document severing the bureau’s relationship with Steele, and a FD-1057 form showing Steele was “verbally admonished” by the FBI for an unspecified transgression.

Perhaps the most puzzling document is the FD-1057, noting that Steele was “admonished” by a FBI handler for an unspecified infraction. That document is dated February 2, 2016. Yet Fusion GPS would not hire Steele to compile a dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump until June, according to media reports that have not been denied by the FBI or Fusion executives.

“The anti-Trump Russia ‘investigation’ had Christopher Steele at its center and his misconduct was no impediment to using information from his Russia intelligence collaborators to spy on the Trump team,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said on Friday. “The corruption and abuse is astonishing.”

The documents, while almost a “literal whitewash,’ align with the claims by US President Donald Trump and his supporters that the FBI’s Russia investigation was politically motivated, journalist Max Blumenthal told RT. ‘Fighting Miracle’: Premature NCIU Baby Who Died Twice in Operating Room Goes Home

A baby boy who spent the first 151 days of his life outside the womb in the hospital and has been called a “little warrior” and a “fighting miracle” finally went home Thursday.

Aureilo Resendiz was just 2 pounds, 1 ounce when he was born prematurely at the 28th week of gestation. He was doing well in the neonatal intensive care unit at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in North Carolina until on Mother’s Day this year doctors told his mother, Tabatha Resendiz, he needed emergency surgery.

“I delivered at 28 weeks. He was 2 pounds, 1 ounce, doing great,” Tabatha told WECT. “Come March we were supposed to go home and we get a call on Mother’s Day. He was going to surgery after that.”

“He was two days from going home and his intestines had twisted and they had to do emergency surgery,” NCIU nurse Monica Hyatt explained.

The little baby Aureilo fought hard for his life, requiring six surgeries before he began to recover.

“He died twice on the operating table and doctors brought him back to life. He is such a fighter,” Hyatt said. While caring for Aureilo, nurse Hyatt developed a special relationship with him.

“He’s such a cuddle bug. He just captured my heart,” she said. Nurse Hyatt grew so close to the baby that his mother decided she ought to be a part of the family forever.

“It was heavy on my heart, so one day I approached her, and I said, ‘Miss Monica, I don’t know how to ask you, but I would like for you to be Aurelio’s godmother,’ and she said, ‘Are you serious?’ and she accepted,” Tabatha said.

“I have a godchild for life,” Hyatt said. “I get to be a part of his life forever. There is nothing better.”

Now, Aureilo is 10 pounds, 8 ounces and his stay at the hospital is over. According to WECT, he is being bottle-fed but still needs to have a colostomy bag and may need it for a while.

“It will hit me tomorrow when he is not here, but that’s our goal,” Hyatt said. “It’s our goal to get them home, get them with family and get him well and he has done it.” (For more from the author of “‘Fighting Miracle’: Premature NCIU Baby Who Died Twice in Operating Room Goes Home” please click HERE)

Levin Tells Trump What He Should Tell Mueller — Scorching Hot

Thursday evening on “Hannity,” LevinTV host Mark Levin told Sean Hannity exactly what President Donald Trump should tell special counsel Robert Mueller, if Mueller insists on meeting with the president.

Levin highlighted the hypocrisy of the Paul Manafort trial, which Hannity noted was nothing more than a “cheap” attempt to get the president in court.

“If [Manafort] did all these things … during the Obama administration, who was the FBI director? Mueller. Mueller was the FBI director, he did nothing about it, apparently.” Levin said.

“Let me tell you something, Mr. Mueller, you’re not the king of the universe,” Levin said.

Levin explained that Mueller’s investigation is not about wanting justice, it’s about wanting to take down Trump.

“I hope the president’s lawyers are listening to me, and the president, right now. Here’s what you should tell Mr. Mueller: have a meeting with him and tell him, you’re unconstitutional under the Appointments Clause, what you’re doing is unconstitutional as far as we are concerned, we are not going to bow to you, this is the office of the President of the United States, you are a rogue prosecutor, now get the hell out of my office and make sure the door doesn’t hit you in the ass. I’ll see you in court. That’s the beginning and the end of it, as far as I’m concerned,” Levin said. Planned Parenthood Releases New ‘Unstoppable’ Manifesto

The abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood has released yet another one of its manifestos ahead of the 2018 midterm elections. This “Unstoppable” campaign sets eight specific goals.

So what message is Planned Parenthood pushing out now? As highlighted by LifeNews, it’s the same old shtick: women are doomed.

“The manifesto’s central tenets are that ‘our bodies are our own’ and ‘no equality is possible without this,’ birth control is ‘basic health care,’ health care is a ‘human right,’ and abortions should be without restriction,” reports the outlet. “It also calls for freedom from sexual violence, equal pay, paid family leave, and a rejection of racism, homophobia, and transphobia.” . . .

“The Trump-Pence administration has worked to restrict access to abortion, undermined birth control access by allowing virtually any employer to refuse to provide coverage for birth control based on a religious or moral objection, and tried to block people from getting care at Planned Parenthood health centers,” the manifesto laments. “We should be working towards a world where our bodies are our own, and women are able to access full reproductive care.”

“Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik is helping to promote the manifesto along with some music from Sia. Dawn Laguens, executive vice president for Planned Parenthood, said the “UNSTOPPABLE” manifesto will be a “rallying cry” for feminists everywhere. Las Vegas Police Reveal “New” Shooting Details

It’s been almost a year since Stephen Paddock checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas and committed the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history. Over the course of a week, Paddock is seen on multiple security cameras leaving and returning with multiple bags at Mandalay. We now know they were filled with ammunition and additional firearms. He carried a total of 21 bags into his room. Two-dozen firearms were recovered from his 32ndfloor room, with some equipped with bump stocks that mimic automatic fire. On October 1, 2017, he opened fire on attendees at the nearby Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival across the street from the hotel, killing 58 people and wounding over 400 more. It was an act of unspeakable evil, one that wouldn’t have been stopped by any of the gun control proposals Democrats have been pushing for years. . .

More than 10 months after the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, police say they are closing their investigation without answering the key question: What drove a gunman to unleash a hail of gunfire that killed 58 people and wounded hundreds more?

But authorities say after hundreds of interviews and thousands of hours of investigative work, they are confident there is no evidence of a conspiracy or a second gunman

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Stephen Paddock was “an unremarkable man” who showed signs of a troubled mind leading up to the Oct. 1 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, but authorities don’t have any clear answers.

Lombardo said that with the closure of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s 10-month investigation, no one else will be charged in connection with the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Choke on It, Liberals: U.S. Regains Rank as the World’s Most Competitive Economy

Oh, it’s a good day for sure. Ever since the Trump tax cuts became law, the U.S. economy has been booming. Second quarter growth reached four percent; wages for U.S. workers reached their highest levels in a decade. Unemployment is at an 18-year low, with confidence levels from the small business community and consumers reaching their highest marks in years. Over three million jobs have been created. There are now more jobs than there are job seekers, though in CNN-land—everything is on fire. That’s not the case. Real Americans see this; it’s overreach. Well, the jacked up economy has yielded another positive. It’s allowed the U.S. to regain its spot as the number one competitive economy in the world (via Bloomberg):

The U.S. dethroned Hong Kong to retake first place among the world’s most competitive economies, thanks to faster economic growth and a supportive atmosphere for scientific and technological innovation, according to annual rankings by the Switzerland-based IMD World Competitiveness Center.

Hospital Harvests Daughter’s Organs Against Father’s Will

A California man is suing both a hospital and organ donation network, claiming they harvested his daughter’s organs against his will.

Brittany O’Connor died last November. The Fresno, California mother of two had been rushed to the hospital after attempting to kill herself by strangulation. She was placed on life support, and not expected to survive.

Terence “Mike” O’Connor Jr., Brittany’s father, has filed the Fresno Superior Court civil lawsuit against Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and Donor Network West.

According to O’Connor’s attorneys Thornton Davidson and H. Ty Kharazi, this is not the first time the two groups have engaged in what they claim is “a pervasive and unlawful scheme to harvest organs from terminal patients.” They are pursuing class-action status for their lawsuit.

Vice president of communications and public affairs for Community Regional Medical Centers (which oversees the hospital where Brittany O’Connor died), Michelle Von Tersch, offered the following in response: “While we won’t comment on the particulars of pending court proceedings, we do follow applicable laws for all organ donations, which saves so many lives each day. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Brittany’s family members for their tragic loss. We know it is a terrible time for them.” (Read more from “Hospital Harvests Daughter’s Organs Against Father’s Will” HERE)

Federal Judge Rules Trump Administration Must Fully Restart the DACA Program

A federal judge ruled on Friday afternoon that the Trump administration must restart the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. . .

The program itself provides temporary opportunities for children who were brought into the United States illegally to remain in the country. Some 800,000 people, nicknamed “Dreamers,” have been allowed to stay in the country under DACA.

President Trump followed through on a campaign promise last September when he ended DACA, but did it in a way that allowed beneficiaries to continue using the program temporarily and it gave Congress a chance to pass a legislation to fix the situation.
