Clinton, Trump Investigations Show Democrats’ Double Standard

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said Monday that Democrats pushing for the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s full report on the Russia investigation should also insist on making public all information related to the Justice Department’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state and other controversies dating back to the Obama administration.

“The Democrats want all the Mueller information, but seem to be turning a blind eye to other investigations where Congress and the public have yet to see every bit of information that’s out there,” Grassley said on the Senate floor. ” … That leads me to believe their request for Mueller-related documents is a political ploy.”

Democratic lawmakers have called for the release of the full Mueller report since Attorney General William Barr submitted a four-page letter to Congress last month summarizing the special counsel’s “principal conclusions” that there was no proof of a criminal conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign and that it was an open question whether Trump had tried to obstruct the Russia investigation. Barr’s letter said that he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined Mueller’s evidence was insufficient to support an obstruction allegation. . .

The report referenced by Grassley concluded, among other points, that then-FBI official Peter Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page had “cast a cloud over the FBI’s handling of the [Clinton] investigation and the investigation’s credibility” by exchanging messages detailing their dislike for then-candidate Donald Trump. The report also found that Comey and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch had committed “error[s] in judgment” during the investigation, with Comey coming in for particular criticism due to “insubordinate” behavior. . .

Grassley, a former chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, previously had requested information from the FBI and Justice Department about a variety of topics, including the Clinton email investigation and the FBI raid of a whistleblower who claimed to have documents related to Clinton and the sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to a Russian subsidiary. Bombshell: House Intelligence Is Going After ‘Intelligence Leakers’ and Conspiracy Pushers

By Townhall. House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) on Sunday told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that the Committee plans to submit eight criminal referrals to Attorney General William Barr.

“We’re prepared this week to notify the attorney general that we’re prepared to send those referrals over and brief him if he wishes to be briefed,” Nunes said. . .

“So you’ve got eight referrals you’re going to send over the AG this week. Go through those referrals. These are criminal referrals. Two of them I know are about conspiracy,” Bartiromo said. “What can you tell us? Tell us as much as you can, in terms of breaking this news this morning, that you are prepared to send over eight criminal referrals ext week. What are they, Congressman?” . . .

“Five of them are what I would call straight up referrals so just referrals that are, that name someone and name the specific crimes. Those crimes are lying to Congress, misleading Congress, leaking classified information,” Nunes said.

“There are three that I think are more complicated. So you mentioned conspiracy. So the question on conspiracy is what, there’s the conspiracy statute, and then what do they need to look at under that statute. So on the first one, is FISA abuse and other matters we believe there is a conspiracy to lie to the FISA Court, mislead the FISA court by numerous individuals that all need to be investigated and looked at,” Nunes said. “The second conspiracy one is involving manipulation of intelligence. That also could [involve] many Americans and we are, so that’s kind of the second one. Nunes to Send Eight Criminal Referrals to DOJ Concerning Leaks, Conspiracy Amid Russia Probe

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes exclusively told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” that he is preparing to send eight criminal referrals to the Department of Justice this week concerning alleged misconduct from “Watergate wannabes” during the Trump-Russia investigation, including the leaks of “highly classified material” and conspiracies to lie to Congress and the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court.

The dramatic step comes as Republicans have pushed for the release of key documents to uncover the origins of the now-discredited narrative that the Trump campaign colluded improperly with the Russian government. President Trump recently told Fox News he would release the entirety of the FISA applications used to surveil one of his top aides, and other related documents. . .

It was not immediately clear whom Nunes would specifically refer. Both Democrats and Republicans have said former Trump fixer Michael Cohen is likely to face new charges of lying to Congress in the wake of his recent explosive testimony, which seemed to contradict his previous statements on a variety of matters, including whether he had sought a job in the Trump White House. Lawmaker Sues News Agency in Latest Bombshell Claim

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes filed a $150 million lawsuit in Virginia state court against The McClatchy Company and others on Monday, alleging that one of the news agency’s reporters conspired with a political operative to derail Nunes’ oversight work into the Hillary Clinton campaign and Russian election interference.

The filing, obtained by Fox News, came a day after Nunes, R-Calif., revealed he would send eight criminal referrals to the Justice Department this week concerning purported surveillance abuses by federal authorities during the Russia probe, false statements to Congress and other matters.

In March, Nunes filed a similar $250 million lawsuit alleging defamation against Twitter and one of its users, Republican consultant Liz Mair. In Monday’s complaint, Nunes again named Mair as a co-defendant, charging this time that she conspired with McClatchy reporter MacKenzie Mays to spread a variety of untruthful and misleading smears — including that Nunes “was involved with cocaine and underage prostitutes” — online and in print.

Reached for comment late Monday, Mair directed Fox News to a USA Today op-ed she penned earlier this week concerning Nunes’ previous lawsuit entitled, “Free speech means I don’t have to be nice to Devin Nunes on Twitter. So why’s he suing me?”

Omar Spreads Multiple Debunked Lies About Trump Administration

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) spread multiple lies about the Trump administration on Monday in a multi-tweet attack she launched against the Department of Homeland Security.

“Kirstjen Nielsen was responsible for: -Locking toddlers in cages -The death of a 7 year-old on her agency’s watch -Repeatedly lying about taking children from their mothers Now this President wants someone even ‘tougher,'” Omar tweeted. “This should be a warning to all who believe in justice.”

“The acting DHS Secretary commanded the CBP officers who physically separated over 2,800 children from their parents. He was in charge when CBP fired tear gas on a crowd of migrants seeking asylum He failed to disclose details about the death of a child in CBP custody to Congress,” Omar continued.

Omar’s claim that Nielsen locked toddlers in cages was completely false. As many online noted, the incident that Omar was referring to had nothing to do with any department at Homeland Security.

Omar’s claim comes from an image of a toddler in a cage that went viral when people claimed that it showed the toddler in DHS custody, when, in fact, the photo was taken at a protest staged in front of Dallas City Hall.

‘Smallville’ Actress Pleads Guilty to Charges in ‘Sex Slave Cult’ Case

TV star Allison Mack pleaded guilty on Monday to charges concerning her involvement with a “sex slave cult” known as NXIVM. Mack, an alleged victim-turned-victimizer of the cult, pleaded guilty to manipulating women into becoming sex slaves for leader Keith Raniere.

“I believed Keith Raniere’s intentions were to help people … and I was wrong,” Mack told a judge at a federal court in Brooklyn, according to the Associated Press. . .

Mack claimed Raniere had her obtain “compromising information and images” of two women, who have not been named, and threaten them with leaking the sensitive information if they did not perform “acts of love” with Raniere.

“Court papers allege NXIVM formed a secret society of women who were branded with Raniere’s initials and forced to have sex with him. Defense attorneys have insisted any relationship between Raniere and the alleged victims, including an unidentified actress and other women expected to testify against him at trial, was consensual,” the AP report said.

As reported by The Daily Wire last April, Mack was rumored to be one of the cult’s top recruiters. Past tweets from the actress, directed at high-profile Hollywood figures like actress Emma Watson and singer Kelly Clarkson, seemingly reveal some of her recruitment tactics. Obama’s Confession About Assimilation May Land Him in Hot Water With Fellow Dems

During a town hall in Berlin for the Obama Foundation, former President Barack Obama defended the idea of immigrants assimilating to the American way of life. He believes that “some form of assimilation” is necessary and even refuted the idea that “assimilation of newcomers to the existing culture is somehow betrayal or a denial of people’s heritage.”

“And so some of the assimilation that inevitably takes place is gonna take a little bit longer, but some of those principles still apply, and I worry sometimes as we think about how to deal with the immigration issue we think that any moves towards assimilation of newcomers to the existing culture is somehow betrayal or a denial of people’s heritage or what have you,” Obama told the audience. “The truth of the matter is that if you’re going to have a coherent, cohesive society then everybody has to have some agreed upon rules, and there’s gonna have to be some accommodations that everybody makes, and that includes the people who are newcomers.”

What’s interesting is Obama said something many people have said for years: assimilation doesn’t mean losing who you are, where you came from or the culture you grew up with. It means having respect for the nation you’re coming to and the people who are born, raised and currently reside there.

“The question is, are those fair? Should we want to encourage newcomers to learn the language of the country they’re moving to? Of course. Does that mean they can never use their own language. No,” Obama said. “Of course it doesn’t mean that, but it’s not racist to say if you’re gonna be here then you should learn the language of the country you just arrived at, because we need to have some sort of common language in which all of us can work and learn and understand each other.”

Terrifying: This Is Now the Largest Religion in America

For the first time in history, atheists constitute the largest religious group in America. According to the General Social Survey, the number of Americans who have no religion has increased 266% over the past three decades and now account for 23.1% of the population, just barely edging out Catholics and Evangelicals as the nation’s dominant faith. Mainline Protestant churches have suffered the greatest collapse, declining 62.5% since 1982 and now comprising just 10.8% of the U.S. population.

As religiosity has declined, social ills have abounded. Nearly one in five American adults suffers from anxiety disorders, which now constitute the most common mental illness in the country. One in six Americans takes antidepressant drugs, a 65% surge over just 15 years. The problem is particularly acute among younger Americans. While depression diagnoses have increased 33% since 2013, that number is up 47% among Millennials and 63% among teenagers. Coincidentally, suicide rates among American teenagers have increased by 70% since 2006. American life expectancy declined again last year, as Americans continue to drug and kill themselves at record rates.

Social scientists have long since established the link between religiosity and life satisfaction. As social psychologist Sonja Lyubomirsky observes, people who attend religious services several times each week are nearly twice as likely as those who worship less than once a month to describe themselves as “very happy.” Such psychologists simply state the obvious: the belief that God loves you and that you will live with him in eternity offers greater consolation than the view of death as a dirt nap that stiffens you into worm food.

Religious people are also significantly more likely to engage in happy-making behaviors, such as getting and staying married. A study released in 2017 affirmed what countless others had already shown: married couples report higher life satisfaction than their single, divorced, and widowed neighbors. 2020 Isn’t Looking Good for Booker

By AP. Cory Booker’s early fundraising numbers are well behind those posted by other major Democratic candidates in the race to challenge President Donald Trump.

The New Jersey senator, who campaigned Sunday in New Hampshire, said he raised over $5 million in the two months since he entered the 2020 primary, and has over $6.1 million cash on hand.

Booker announced the figure in an email to supporters. The sum puts him near the back of the pack in fundraising with roughly 10 months left before the start of Democratic primary voting. Beto O’Rourke Pulled in a Massive Fundraising Haul — and 2020 Competitors Are Noticing

By Vox. Beto O’Rourke raised more money than any other Democratic presidential candidate in the first 24 hours after announcing his 2020 bid — but he didn’t have as many donors as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) did.

The Texas Democrat announced Monday that his campaign pulled in $6.1 million in online donations in the 24 hours after his announcement. O’Rourke told supporters in New Hampshire Wednesday that the haul came from 128,000 unique contributors at an average donation of $47 a person, CNN reported. By comparison, Sanders’s (I-VT) presidential campaign said it raised $5.9 million from more than 223,000 donors in the first 24 hours, and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) raised $1.5 million in that time.

The first Federal Elections Commission official quarterly campaign finance filings won’t be public until April. Until then we can’t have a full picture of Democrats’ 2020 fundraising efforts.

But the other Democrats in the race have definitely noticed O’Rourke’s ability to raise money. With more than a dozen candidates in the Democratic presidential primary already, these early fundraising numbers remain one measure of frontrunner status. Rhino Poacher Trampled by Elephant, Then Eaten by Lion

Conservation officers in South Africa found the body of a suspected poacher that they now think was killed by an elephant who trampled him. But, to add another layer to the man’s death, his body was also partially eaten by a lion.

Officials of the South African National Parks Service told reporters of the body discovered at the Kruger National Park. Authorities said that the man’s family reported that he had been killed, according to the Daily News.

Four fellow poachers reportedly fled the scene as the man was being trampled and reported the death to the man’s family. The family then contacted park officials and a search party for the remains was organized.

“Entering Kruger National Park illegally and on foot is not wise, it holds many dangers, and this incident is evidence of that,” Kruger National Park Managing Executive Glenn Phillips said. “It is very sad to see the daughters of the diseased mourning the loss of their father, and worse still, only being able to recover very little of his remains.” (Read more from “Rhino Poacher Trampled by Elephant, Then Eaten by Lion” HERE)

Delusional Beto Strikes Again

Earlier this week, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Rep. Robert “Beto” O’Rourke (D-TX) held a town hall in Iowa. During the event, O’Rourke said America would be “demonstrably safer” for everyone, but in particular, Angel Families, those who have had a family member(s) killed by an illegal alien. . .

“I know you are for tearing down existing wall … and you’re basically for open borders. Have you ever met any Angel Moms here in Iowa?” an Iowan asked O’Rourke. “There’s a woman by the name of Michelle Root, who lives about a hundred miles east of here. And her daughter Sarah was killed by a drunk illegal alien right after she graduated from college … what would you tell her about your immigration stance?”

Instead of admitting that he’s in favor of open borders and mass migration to the United States, O’Rourke twisted the voter’s question. . .

“We will be demonstrably safer when we know who is in this country and right now there are millions, there are millions in those shadows that we know nothing about today. Give them the chance to get right with the law. Come into the light of day. Contribute even more to the success of this country,” O’Rourke explained. “If they have committed crimes, deport them back to their countries of origin. But if they are contributing to the success of our country, they’re raising U.S.-citizen children, let’s offer them a future here in the United States of America.”

If you talk to these Angel Families it’s very unlikely that any of them would think that the answer to the problem is by adding fuel to the fire. Allowing anyone who is here illegally to stay here and have a future in the United States is not only a slap in the face to these families but a disgrace to those Americans who lost their lives to illegal aliens.
