Wow: Speaker at 9/11 Ceremony Calls out Ilhan Omar

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, when Al Qaeda terrorists crashed planes into the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon, killing nearly 3,000 people. Or, as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) likes to describe it, “some people did something.” She used that description while speaking at an event for the Council of American-Islamic Relations in California. The full quote is below:

“Here’s the truth,” she said. “For far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen. Frankly, I’m tired of it. And every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it. CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Every September 11 in New York City, the victims’ loved ones read aloud the names of their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, husbands and wives who perished that day. This year, one speaker did not let Omar’s shocking comment go unaddressed. Nicholas Haros Jr., who lost his mother, Frances Haros, in the attack, showed up to today’s ceremony with a shirt that read, “some people did something” and a message for the congresswoman.

“‘Some people did something,’ said a freshman congresswoman from Minnesota, to support and justify the creation of CAIR, [The Council on American-Islamic Relations],” Haros said after reading his mother’s name. “Today I’m here to respond to you exactly who did what to whom. Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion?”

Supreme Court Gives Green Light to Trump Administration’s Asylum Rules

By Townhall. The Supreme Court of the United States on Wednesday said the Trump administration is allowed to deny asylum to those who refused to seek refuge in another country first before coming to the United States, the Associated Press reported.

Justices Sonia Sotomayer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissented with the rest of their colleagues.

“Once again the Executive Branch has issued a rule that seeks to upend longstanding practices regarding refugees who seek shelter from persecution,” Sotomayer wrote in her dissenting opinion, the Washington Post reported.. “Although this Nation has long kept its doors open to refugees — and although the stakes for asylum seekers could not be higher — the Government implemented its rule without first providing the public notice and inviting the public input generally required by law.”

Supreme Court Allows Trump Administration to Enforce Toughest Restriction yet on Asylum Requests

By NBC News. . .As a result, the government can now refuse to consider a request for asylum from anyone who failed to apply for it in another country after leaving home but before coming here. The order means, for instance, that migrants from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador cannot seek asylum in the U.S. if they didn’t first ask for it in Mexico.

Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor dissented, saying the court acted too quickly and should allow the case to work its way through the normal judicial process.

The administration said the new restriction is needed to respond to “an unprecedented surge” of people who enter the country illegally and seek asylum if they’re caught. But officials said only a small fraction of them are eventually found to be qualified. “The rule thus screens out asylum seekers who declined to request protection at their first opportunity,” said Solicitor General Noel Francisco. He said it allows immigration officials to concentrate on the asylum seekers who most need protection.

Immigration courts now face a backlog of 436,000 asylum requests. But given how few are actually granted, it’s reasonable to ask whether those applicants “genuinely fear persecution or torture, or are simply economic migrants,” Francisco said. WATCH: Analyst Says One Number in New Poll Should ‘Send a Chill down the Spine’ of Trump’s 2020 Campaign

By The Blaze. CNN political director David Chalian said that of all the numbers in a new CNN poll that one should send a “chill” down the spine of the re-election campaign for President Donal Trump.

According to the new poll published Tuesday, 60 percent of Americans polled said that the president did not deserve re-election, while only 36 percent said that the president did deserve re-election.

“Jake, this number I think may send a chill down the spine of the folks in Trump’s re-election headquarters,” said Chalian to Tapper.

Chalian also pointed out that in their new polling that the president’s favorability rating had fallen to 39 percent, which was the lowest since January.

Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Drops Below 40 Percent in Three New Polls

By Newsweek. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has dropped below 40 percent in three new polls amid rising concerns of a looming recession.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Tuesday, shows Trump’s approval rating at 38 percent among Americans, with 56 percent disapproving of his performance in the Oval Office. Conducted in early September, the results come as Americans have become increasingly concerned that the U.S.’ trade war with China may cause a recession in the coming months.

The president’s approval rating stands at 39 percent, according to a new CNN/SSRS poll, also released on Tuesday, with 55 percent disapproving of the president’s performance. Compared to CNN/SSRS’ last poll, Trump’s approval rating dropped by one percentage point, while his disapproval rating rose by one point.

Gallup’s latest figures also has Trump’s approval rating at 39 percent, with 57 percent of respondents disapproving of the president’s job performance. Conducted between August 15-30, the results show a two percent drop in Trump’s approval rating from last month, which had him at 41 percent. Watch It: Video Shows U.S. Bombing ISIS-‘Infested’ Island; Military Leaders Warn of ISIS Insurgency in Iraq

By Fox News. U.S. jets bombed an ISIS-“infested island” in northern Iraq Tuesday, according to new video and a statement from the U.S.-led coalition battling the terrorist group.

More than 80,000 pounds of laser-guided bombs were dropped on the island located on the Tigris River south of Mosul, according to U.S. Army Col. Myles B. Caggins III, a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, based in Baghdad.

U.S. officials called the island a “major transit hub” for ISIS fighters going in and out of Syria.

“We’re denying [ISIS] the ability to hide on Qanus Island,” said Maj. Gen. Eric T. Hill, the commander of the Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve. “We’re setting the conditions for our partner forces to continue bringing stability to the region.”

A tweet from OIR Spokesman Col. Myles B. Caggins, which aired the video, said: “Here’s what it looks like when @USAFCENT F15 and F35 jets drop 36,000kg of bombs on a Daesh [ISIS] infested island.”

Military Leaders Tell David Muir There Is an ‘Isis Insurgency’ in Iraq, Warn of Breeding Ground Across Syria Border

By ABC News. . .Nearly 16 years since the United States went into Iraq to eliminate Saddam Hussein’s alleged weapons of mass destruction, “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir got exclusive access with American troops now fighting an enemy intent on resurging: ISIS.

Mere months after losing their territorial hold across Syria and Iraq — and after President Donald Trump declared ISIS had been “defeated” — the reality on the ground paints a still grim picture of recalcitrant ISIS fighters forming an enduring insurgency.

“We have seen, since the collapse of the caliphate, that ISIS has repositioned a lot of its capabilities,” U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Alex Grynkewich told Muir.

“They’re trying to garner resources, extort the population, do low level attacks. There’s certainly an insurgency going on, on the ground right now,” said Grynkewich, the deputy commander of Operation Inherent Resolve, the joint coalition fighting ISIS on the ground. . .

For months, there have been warnings of a resurgence — at least two Pentagon reports this year, including one from August, cautioned ISIS was far from eradicated. A report from the lead inspector general for Operation Inherent Resolve, which fights ISIS, warned that from April to June, ISIS “solidified insurgent capabilities in Iraq” and established “resurgent cells” in Syria to “expand its command and control nodes in Iraq.” (Read more from “Military Leaders Tell David Muir There Is an ‘Isis Insurgency’ in Iraq, Warn of Breeding Ground Across Syria Border” HERE)

WATCH: Nurse Testifies Infants Surviving Abortion Left to Die in Hospital ‘Soiled Utility Room’

Registered nurse Jill Stanek testified before a House committee that she cared for an infant with Down syndrome who had survived an abortion and was left to die in the hospital’s “soiled utility room.”

In her prepared testimony on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, Stanek, who now serves as national campaign chair at the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, described an incident 20 years ago when she worked at Christ Hospital in Illinois.

[Testimony begins at 22:40.]

Stanek said she became aware Christ Hospital “committed abortions into the second and third trimesters,” a procedure known as induced labor abortion, which sometimes resulted in babies born alive. . .

One night, a nursing co-worker was transporting a baby who had been aborted because he had Down syndrome to our Soiled Utility Room to die – because that’s where survivors were taken.

I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone, so I rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived. He was 21 to 22 weeks old, weighed about 1/2 pound, and was about the size of my hand. He was too weak to move very much, expending all his energy attempting to breathe. Toward the end he was so quiet I couldn’t tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his heart was still beating through his chest wall.

Vaping-Related Disease Spurs Calls for Tighter Rules in Congress

Lawmakers are seizing on the outbreak of a vaping-related illness to push for more aggressive regulation of the young but fast-growing e-cigarette industry.

Democrats and increasing numbers of Republicans want age restrictions, flavor bans, and marketing crackdowns. They want the FDA to move faster to investigate and regulate e-cigarettes, touted by the industry as a way to reduce harm from traditional cigarette smoking but which has also led to what the FDA calls an “epidemic” of youth vaping of nicotine.

Health authorities haven’t fully untangled what’s causing the respiratory disease, which has potentially affected more than 450 and killed six. Public health officials across 33 states have linked many of the cases to vaped forms of marijuana and its component CBD — both of which are in legal but in regulatory limbo. Counterfeit or black market nicotine vapes may also have a role — and legal vapes haven’t been totally ruled out, but they aren’t dominating the public health investigation into the illness.

Yet anti-tobacco lawmakers and children’s health advocates are using the moment to demand more regulation of e-cigarettes, including industry powerhouse Juul. They want to go further than Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s bill, which would raise the age for buying all tobacco to 21. And they want consistent national standards, not a state-by-state patchwork as some areas of the country plow ahead on flavor bans. NRA Sues San Francisco; Quarter of Dems Say NRA Should Be Illegal

By Breitbart. The NRA is suing San Francisco after the city declared it a “domestic terrorist organization,” alleging the declaration violates the group’s free speech rights.

The Associated Press reports the NRA filed suit in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, asking the court “to instruct elected officials that freedom of speech means you cannot silence or punish those with whom you disagree.”

On September 4, 2019, Breitbart News reported San Francisco Supervisors’ unanimous vote to declare the NRA a “domestic terrorist organization.” Rolling Stone magazine reports the supervisor behind the vote, Cathering Stefani, is a volunteer member of Michael Bloomberg-funded Moms Demand Action. Quarter of Dems Say NRA Should Be Illegal

By Rasmussen Reports. The National Rifle Association is America’s largest gun rights organization with more than five million members. But a sizable number of Democrats views it as a terrorist group and believes it should be against the law for Americans to belong to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA.

Following several recent mass shootings, officials in San Francisco declared the NRA a domestic terrorist organization. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that nearly one-out-of-three Likely Democratic Voters (32%) favor declaring the gun rights group a terrorist organization in the community where they live. Fourteen percent (14%) of Republicans and 20% of voters not affiliated with either major party agree. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Twenty-eight percent (28%) of Democrats say Americans should be prohibited by law from belonging to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA, a view shared by 15% of Republicans and 10% of uanffiliateds.

Among all likely voters, 23% favor declaring the NRA a terrorist organization in their home community, while 18% think it should be against the law to belong to pro-gun rights groups like the NRA. (Read more from “Quarter of Dems Say NRA Should Be Illegal” HERE)

2020 Candidate Breaks Away from Dems, Says She Actually Supports Some Restrictions on Abortion

Democratic presidential hopeful Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) broke with other members of her party when she revealed that she believed that abortion should be limited, with exceptions, to before the start of a pregnancy’s third trimester. She also criticized her fellow Democrats for supporting open borders policies.

During an interview Monday, libertarian host Dave Rubin asked Gabbard to clarify her position on abortion. Rubin noted that Gabbard used to be pro-life and admitted that he was becoming more pro-life due to the recently radical abortion policies espoused by members of the Democratic Party.

Gabbard said that her own position had changed along with her “understanding of the role of government.” She said she took “a more libertarian position on this issue: that government really shouldn’t be in that place of dictating to a woman the choice that she should make.”

“I think that there should be some restrictions, though,” she continued. “You know, for me personally, I would not make that choice for myself, but I don’t believe that I should be telling anyone else the kinds of decisions that they should make for themselves or for their family. And, therefore, a woman should have a right to choose. And I will stand up and protect her right to do so.”

She also said that she believed that abortion should be restricted at “the third trimester, unless a woman’s life or severe consequences is at risk, then there shouldn’t be an abortion in the third trimester.” (Read more from “2020 Candidate Breaks Away from Dems, Says She Actually Supports Some Restrictions on Abortion” HERE)

NYT Scared to Death: ‘The Trumps Will Be a Dynasty!’

The New York Times has extremely bad news for every single Democrat… and members of the old GOP elite: according to President Trump’s campaign manager, the entire family will be a political force to be reckoned with for years to come. In fact, he calls them a new dynasty.

“The Trumps will be a dynasty that lasts for decades,” Brad Parscale, Mr. Trump’s campaign manager, said on Saturday. When asked what he meant, he explained that the family has people with “amazing capabilities.” “I think you see that from Don Jr. I think you see that from Ivanka. You see it from Jared. You see it from all,” he said.

Apparently, the NYT’s Maggie Haberman got so scared by this prospect that she wrote an entire column about it. . .

With regards to the latter part of that question, Haberman believes the chances of President Trump fading quietly are just about zero.

You can just smell the fear. It’s bad enough for Haberman and her ilk that there’s Donald Trump, but now there’s an entire dynasty in the making? Oh no! The Clintons and Kennedys are perfect. But the Trump’s as a dynasty? Oh no!

President Donald Trump Accepts the Resignation of National Security Adviser John Bolton

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he requested and has accepted the resignation of national security adviser John Bolton.

Bolton offered a different account of his resignation.

Bolton’s resignation follows reports of conflict in the White House between Bolton and other members of the administration over foreign policy, most notably Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. This week, the New York Times reported that Bolton fiercely objected to a planned meeting at Camp David with members of the Taliban for Afghanistan peace talks.

The president said he will name a new national security adviser next week. (For more from the author of “President Donald Trump Accepts the Resignation of National Security Adviser John Bolton” please click HERE)
