Target Warren: 2020 Democrats Pile on While Largely Ignoring Biden

Elizabeth Warren got her first taste of front-runner status at the fourth Democratic primary debate — and the heat that goes along with it.

Her 11 rivals in Westerville, Ohio, on Tuesday night blasted the Massachusetts senator on her approaches to healthcare, taxes, and foreign policy, among a slew of other issues. The negative light they sought to shine on Warren, 70, reflects her steady rise in the polls over the past couple of months to now run even or ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden.

Democrats onstage at Otterbein University hit Warren over her “Medicare for all” plan from points across the ideological spectrum. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, returning to the campaign trail after a heart attack, called her idea a pale imitation of his own proposal, which would eliminate private health insurance in favor of government coverage. Other candidates questioned how Warren would pay for the broadening of coverage without raising taxes on middle-class Americans.

“I have made clear what my principles are here. Costs will go up for the wealthy and big corporations,” Warren said during the most crowded debate in modern U.S. political history. “I will not sign a bill into law that does not lower costs for middle-class families.” . . .

Ousted Planned Parenthood President: Abortion Should Be ‘Safe, Legal, and Rare’

Dr. Leana Wen, the Planned Parenthood president who said she was ousted because she opposed the organization’s politicization, tweeted her support for abortion to be “safe, legal, and rare.”

The construction “safe, legal, and rare” isn’t favored by abortion rights groups, which back broader access to abortion, and is no longer part of the Democratic platform, which says only that abortion must be “safe and legal.” Democrats have moved to allow government funding for abortion and have opposed limits on the procedure, even when performed late in pregnancy.

“I don’t agree with @TulsiGabbard on a lot, but do appreciate that she brought up the third rail for Democrats: that abortion should be ‘safe, legal, and rare,'” Wen tweeted Tuesday evening during the Democratic debate in Ohio. “We should reduce the need for abortions by investing in prevention.”

Rep. Happy Halloween! Annual ‘Offensive’ Costume Bans Begin

Every year, as Halloween approaches, the social justice-oriented “woke” police begin issuing their edicts, proscribing certain “offensive” costumes and cancelling Halloween events lest someone — anyone — be offended.

Late last month, an elementary school in the tony Chicago suburb of Evanston announced that they would be cancelling Halloween altogether over concerns that some children who did not celebrate the holiday would be offended by chilling costumes and spooky treats, according to North Cook News.

A Wisconsin school followed suit, calling the holiday “inappropriate” and not “inclusive,” and also did away with parades, parties, and costume-wearing in school. Supervisors at the school district claim that the holiday made certain children feel excluded and highlighted “inequities.” . . .

Michigan State University leads the way in 2019, releasing its rules late last week and pasting posters across campus asking students to consider whether their planned costumes are racially, culturally, or ethnically based.

The College Fix reports that “[p]osters asking ‘Is Your Costume Racially, Culturally, or Ethnically Based?’ appeared in dorms last week courtesy of the school’s Residence Education and Housing Services. The placards feature examples of ‘costume fails’: a guy dressed like a mariachi, women dressed as a Native American (‘hypersexualized racism’) and in a Japanese kimono, and … a space alien (allegedly represents ‘illegal aliens’?).” (Read more from “Happy Halloween! Trump on Way to Easy Win in 2020, According to Historically Accurate Election Model

. . .According to one model that has been historically accurate, President Trump appears to be on his way to to an easy victory.

Moody’s Analytics uses three different economic models to predict the outcome of political races: “how consumers feel about their own financial situation, the gains the stock market has achieved during Trump’s tenure, and the prospects for unemployment,” CNBC reports. “The modeling has been highly accurate going back to the 1980 election, missing only once.”

“If the economy a year from now is the same as it is today, or roughly so, then the power of incumbency is strong and Trump’s election odds are very good, particularly if Democrats aren’t enthusiastic and don’t get out to vote,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics. “It’s about turnout.” . . .

“Our ‘pocket¬book’ model is the most economically driven of the three. If voters were to vote primarily on the basis of their pocketbooks, the president would steamroll the competition,” the report says. “This shows the importance that prevailing economic sentiment at the household level could hold in the next election.”

New York Governor Uses N-Word During Live Interview

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo might want to avoid his little brother after using an uncensored version of the N-word during a live radio show on Tuesday.

CNN pundit Chris Cuomo, the younger brother of the Democratic governor, famously said being called “Fredo” is “like the N-word” for Italians during a viral outburst earlier this year. Fredo is a reference to Fredo Corleone, the weak and facile brother in the movie “The Godfather,” who was played by John Cazale.

The older Cuomo sibling called into WAMC radio to discuss a variety of topics, including a recent New York Times opinion piece headlined, “How Italians Became ‘White.” The governor used the uncensored version of the N-word when discussing the Times piece.

“They used an expression that Southern Italians were called, I believe they were saying Southern Italians, Sicilians – I’m half Sicilian – were called, quote-unquote and pardon my language, but I’m just quoting the Times: ‘n—r wops,’” Cuomo said without censoring the word. . .

WAMC’s Alan Chartock didn’t comment on Cuomo’s use of the word. In fairness to the governor, the Times did publish the uncensored word itself to describe racist terms used against Italian-Americans — but that didn’t stop critics from rushing to Twitter with thoughts.

Turkey Holding 50 U.S. Nuclear Bombs ‘Hostage’

Officials are reviewing plans to evacuate up to 50 U.S. nuclear bombs that have long been stored at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey in the wake of Ankara’s military offensive in northern Syria, according to a report.

The weapons are now essentially “hostage” to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a senior official told The New York Times on Monday.

The Cold War-era B61 nuclear bombs are said to be 100-250 miles from the Syrian border, according to The Guardian. A former U.S. official told the outlet that Turkish diplomats responded to suggestions about moving the bombs by saying Turkey would start to develop its own.

“The potential problems have been discussed for over a decade,” the former official said. “And now we’ve finally gotten to a point where this is a problem that we can’t ignore anymore.” . . .

Trump said Monday that U.S. troops in northeastern Syria will be withdrawn from the country as planned and redeployed “in the region to monitor the situation and prevent a repeat of 2014,” when the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS) made major territorial gains.

Police Chief: Antifa Threw Urine, Bottles, and Rocks at Officers, Hit Horses with Sticks (VIDEO)

The police chief for Minneapolis released a statement explaining that while there were protesters who acted peacefully during President Trump’s visit, others acted violently towards officers and Trump supporters.

“While the vast majority of people that gathered were peaceful and respectful, officers did engage with some individuals and groups demonstrating aggressive or illegal behavior to address issues related to life, safety and property damage,” Chief Medaria Arradondo said in a statement.

“Officers further engaged when assaulted during their response. Objects containing liquid believed to be urine were hurled at some of my officers along with bottles and rocks. Police horses were also assaulted by protesters striking them with sticks,” he continued.

Arradondo explained because members of Antifa and other protesters were becoming “violent and aggressive” and “causing harm to others in attendance,” pepper spray was used against them.

The website that called for Antifa to come out to the “AMERICA IS CANCELED” counter-protest, published a report from someone that was present. In the post, they boasted how they set off fireworks and spray painted storefront windows “with slogans not just against the bogeyman of Trump or fascism but against the police most of all.”

WATCH: Hunter Biden Admits He ‘Probably’ Wouldn’t Have Been on Burisma’s Board If Not for His Father

In a recent interview, Hunter Biden said that he probably wouldn’t have been asked to be on the board of a Ukrainian energy company if not for his vice presidential father.

During the exclusive interview with ABC News, aired on Tuesday morning, Biden was asked about his involvement with the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma, which is the driving factor behind House Democrats’ ongoing efforts to impeach President Trump.

“If your last name wasn’t Biden,” ABC anchor Amy Robach asked, “do you think you would’ve been asked to be on the board of Burisma?”

“I don’t know. I don’t know. Probably not,” Biden responded. “I don’t think that there’s a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn’t Biden.”

The younger Biden has faced criticism that he was asked to be on the board despite a notable lack of experience in the energy industry. Biden responded to those claims elsewhere in the interview, where he pointed to his experience as a board member at Amtrak, the quasi-public American train company, among other ventures.

“I was vice chairman of the board of Amtrak for five years,” Biden said when Robach asked about his qualifications. “I was the chairman of the board of the U.N. World Food Program. I was a lawyer for Boies Schiller Flexner, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world.”

The former vice president’s son also took issue with the amount of public scrutiny aimed at his business endeavors when Robach brought up the $50,000 he made per month while working for Burisma.

“Look, I’m a private citizen; one thing that I don’t have to do is sit here and open my kimono as it relates to how much money I make or make or did or didn’t,” Biden said. “But it’s all been reported.”

Robach also asked the younger Biden whether or not he ever thought that taking the position at Burisma was a bad idea, given his father’s position.

“I’m a human, and you know what? Did I make a mistake? Well, maybe in the grand scheme of things, yeah,” he said. “But did I make a mistake based upon some ethical lapse? The president’s rally in Minneapolis was dotted with left-wing thugs who harassed and assaulted Trump supporters because having a view that isn’t to the left of Lenin is intolerable to these clowns. We’re all Nazis in the eyes of these people. They’ve become totally unhinged by the 2016 election and this incident last night toward one Trump supporter, who was being interviewed by Vice News, perfectly captures how extreme liberals have become: he was spat on.

The supporter, Dave Carlson, wasn’t angry. He took it in stride. The host was visibly shocked by the action. Another man is seen apologizing for the incident. Another individual, while not a supporter of the president, also came up to Carlson to say what happened to him was not appropriate, but added that his MAGA hat was also “disrespectful as f**k.”

Protester Spits in Trump Supporter’s Face Before Rally in Minneapolis

By Fox News. man wearing a red “MAGA” hat was surprisingly calm after someone appeared to spit on his face during an interview before President Trump’s Thursday rally.

David Carlson was outside the Minneapolis rally when the incident occurred. Vice News correspondent Elizabeth Landers asked him a question when an unnamed protester sullied his face with saliva, according to the outlet.

After the spit hit his face, Landers’ jaw dropped. “Oh nice,” Carlson responded in a sarcastic tone before laughing and wiping it off his face. . .

WATCH: Project Veritas Exposes CNN’s ‘Personal Vendetta’ Against Trump

CNN is one of the most visible and prolific anti-Trump networks out there. Over the weekend, James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas team announced that they were working on a series based on information brought to them by an insider at the network. It’s what you’d expect from staff and management that has become infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome. Most of the top hosts hate Trump. CNN president Jeffrey Zucker hates him as well. So, it’s not shocking that the animus leeches into the programming. Zucker is heard on calls, giving marching orders to focus on impeachment and ignore other stories. He rips Fox News for peddling conspiracy theories and pretty much being fake news, which is just rich coming from this network that’s perpetually in third place. Fox is king. They will never beat them. So, chalk up the trash talk as one coming from an executive that will never reach an audience like that at Fox News.

Other tidbits come from CNN’s floor manager, who described the aura of death that was in the air when Trump won the 2016 election while admitting that the network is partially to blame for Hillary’s loss with the non-stop coverage. Trump got around $2 billion in free media during the 2016 cycle. Floor Director Hiram Gonzalez is caught telling PV’s insider, “Between you and I, we created this monster and now we’re eating him full plate every single day. Media created the Trump monster.”

Meanwhile, CNN’s media coordinator admits that top hosts at the network, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, and Chris Cuomo, either hate or strongly dislike the president. Again, no shocker there (via PV):

Cary Poarch, who works at CNN’s Washington D.C. Bureau, tells Project Veritas “I decided to wear a hidden camera…to expose the bias running rampant” at the network. Poarch documented CNN’s bias for months; recording undercover footage of numerous long-term employees, some of which talk about Jeff Zucker’s anti-Trump agenda. In the video are Nick Neville, Christian Sierra, Hiram Gonzalez, David Chalian, and Mike Brevna. These employee’s positions range from media coordinator to high-ranking executives. I decided to secretly record the 9:00am rundown call meetings with senior management and executives, says Poarch.
