Trump Pardons World War II Scientist

President Trump has granted a posthumous pardon to World War II scientist Zay Jeffries, who helped the U.S. develop artillery shells capable of piercing German tanks’ armor during World War II, the White House announced Thursday.

Jeffries was convicted in 1948 of engaging in anticompetitive conduct that violated the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. He died in 1965 at age 77.

“One of America’s leading scientists, Dr. Jeffries was crucial to the United States war effort in World War II,” the White House said. “His efforts enabled the United States to develop artillery shells capable of piercing the armor of German tanks, and his contributions to the Manhattan Project helped end the war in the Pacific theater.”

While he was indicted in 1941, Jeffries still “proved vital to the war effort, prompting Secretary of War [Henry] Stimson to take the extraordinary step of requesting, with President Roosevelt’s approval, that the attorney general defer any prosecution until after the war,” according to the White House.

“When the Department of Justice returned to the case in 1947, it grounded its legal theory on a Supreme Court precedent that did not exist when Dr. Jeffries was originally indicted,” the White House said. (Read more from “Trump Pardons World War II Scientist” HERE)

Study Reveals How Much Health Care for Illegal Aliens Would Cost America

A plan from 2020 Democrats to provide free, American taxpayer-funded health care to all illegal aliens living in the United States would cost up to $23 billion a year, a new study finds.

In June, the majority of 2020 Democrats running for president — including Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) — endorsed a plan that would force American taxpayers to provide free health care to all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens in the U.S. and anyone else who crosses the southern border.

The latest study by Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) researchers reveals that providing health care to all illegal aliens would cost American taxpayers up to $23 billion a year should every illegal alien enroll. This total includes at least 2.5 million low-income illegal aliens and their children who would cost almost $13 billion a year, alone, to be given health care.

Even if only about five million illegal aliens enroll in federal subsidies for health care, American taxpayers would be forced to foot a $10.4 billion bill every year, CIS researchers conclude. Overall, providing taxpayer-funded health care to each illegal alien costs Americans about $4,600 a year.

With a scenario in which higher-income illegal aliens are enrolled in Obamacare and poorer illegal aliens take Medicaid, that plan would still cost Americans nearly $20 billion a year assuming every illegal alien enrolls. Based on current enrollment trends, a lower enrollment rate among illegal aliens would nonetheless cost Americans $10.7 billion a year. WATCH: Popular Toddler’s Show Tackles Opioid Crisis

The enduring children’s show Sesame Street is tackling the opioid crisis with a character whose mother is struggling with an addiction.

Sesame Workshop, which is behind the show, said the new initiative features Karli, a six-and-a-half year-old Sesame Street Muppet “whose mom is dealing with addiction.”

The organization didn’t specify the nature of the character’s health problems, saying only that the issue will be explored through an ongoing series of videos and other content. . .

Sesame Street first introduced Karli in May as the face of the Sesame Street in Communities foster care initiative. The new addiction storyline explains that Karli’s was placed in foster care because her mother had to go away for treatment, though now she’s in recovery.

The show said there are 5.7 million children under the age of 11 — one in eight children — who live in households with a parent who has a substance abuse disorder. It said one in three of these children will enter foster care due to parental addiction, a number that risen by more than 50% in the past decade. Staffer Was Ready to Harvest Baby’s Body Parts During Late-Term Abortion but ‘the Baby Just Fell out’

Planned Parenthood called their third and fourth witnesses in the trial involving its lawsuit against the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) yesterday. As you are likely aware, Planned Parenthood sued CMP following the release of videos showing PP doctors haggling over the price of baby body parts.

The third witness was Adrian Lopez, who serves in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman in the Neonatal ICU at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. As part of his duties, Lopez cares for babies born at 21-22 weeks gestation—the same age as many of the babies whose organs are sold for profit. Planned Parenthood attorneys grilled Lopez for his role in the undercover videos, even though Lopez had little to do with the planning or execution of the sting operation. . .

During cross-examination, however, Lopez was able to share with the jury an incident involving a “procurement technician” who harvests organs from aborted babies:“There was mention of a woman, a patient being so dilated that when they get in the stirrups, the fetus falls out.”

Defendant Sandra Merritt testified regarding the same incident last week, saying “…she was standing out in the hallway waiting to harvest human body parts and that it was so quick, much faster. I think three minutes that — where she’s strapped in and ready for the abortion, but the baby just fell out. DISGUSTING: Woman Wins Quarter Million Dollars Because She Didn’t Get to Abort Her Baby With Down Syndrome

A mother, who said that she would have aborted her baby if she knew that he had Downs syndrome, has been awarded financial compensation from the NHS, which could amount to £200,000.

Edyta Mordel, aged 33, pursued legal action against the NHS for ‘wrongful birth’ after medical staff allegedly failed to test her unborn baby for Down’s syndrome, and so deprived her of the opportunity to end his life through abortion.

Mordel’s medical notes say she was “very upset and angry” when her son, Aleksander, was diagnosed after his birth in 2015. However, the hospital’s ultrasound reports system recorded “Down’s screening declined”, showing that Mordel had been offered a screening process, and had refused it.

Mr Justice Jay, who presided over the ‘wrongful birth’ case, has now ruled that Mordel is entitled to a damages pay-out from the NHS trust. Mordel’s lawyers have asserted that she should receive a pay-out sum larger than £200,000. . . .

Currently, in the UK, 90% of babies diagnosed with Down’s syndrome are aborted. The UK’s 1967 Abortion Act also permits abortion until birth, if the unborn baby is suspected to possess to foetal anomaly such as Down’s syndrome. Report Claims Pope Francis Said Jesus Was Not God

Controversy erupted this week when atheist Italian journalist Eugenio Scalfari published a serious charge in an article for the center-left outlet La Repubblica — namely, that Pope Francis previously told him in a private interview that Jesus Christ was not God. If true, this would be a blatant statement of heresy that denies the Nicene Creed and the Catechism.

According to Catholic News Agency, Scalfari, who has interviewed the pope on several occasions, said he discussed the topic of Jesus’ divinity sometime in the past. He allegedly challenged Pope Francis about church teaching by noting several scriptures of Christ expressing agony, which apparently led Scalfari to believe that Jesus was not divine. In response, Pope Francis allegedly told him, “They are the definitive proof that Jesus of Nazareth, once he became a man, even if he was a man of exceptional virtue, was not a God.”

Immediately after the article went public, the Vatican issued a rather tepid statement denying Scalfari’s claims, saying it was not a “faithful account” of what Pope Francis said.

“As already stated on other occasions, the words that Dr. Eugenio Scalfari attributes in quotation marks to the Holy Father during talks with him cannot be considered a faithful account of what was actually said but represent a personal and free interpretation of what he heard, as appears completely evident from what is written today regarding the divinity of Jesus Christ,” Matteo Bruni, the director of the Holy See’s press office, said in a statement.

After significant backlash over the wording in Bruni’s denial, Dr. Paolo Ruffini, the Vatican’s prefect of the dicastery for communications, effectively called Scalfari a liar and affirmed that Pope Francis believes in rudimentary Catholic teaching about the divinity of Jesus. Joe AND Hunter Biden Were Both Paid by Burisma (VIDEO)

So, the plot thickens with Joe Biden and his Ukraine ties. House Democrats have pulled the trigger on their grand plan to impeach President Trump for simply winning the 2016 election. . .

As the son of then-Vice President Joe Biden, it seems pretty clear that he was there selling access. That’s the allegation. It’s a question that hasn’t gone away, and one that has irritated Joe Biden to no end. And now we’re hearing that Joe Biden was also paid $900,000 which was part of his lobbying fee on behalf of Burisma. The former vice president has repeatedly said that he and his son never discussed overseas business, despite being pictured in a photograph golfing with two Ukrainian energy executives. They didn’t talk business. Who are you kidding? Our friends at RedState wrote about this earlier today. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s attorney, also repeated the claim on Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday night (via NY Post):

Rudy Giuliani, the personal lawyer for President Trump, alleged that a Ukrainian natural gas company that employed Joe Biden’s son Hunter also paid the former vice president $900,000 in lobbying fees.

Giuliani, appearing Wednesday night on Fox News’ “The Sean Hannity Show,” cited as evidence documents released by Andriy Derkach, a member of Ukraine’s parliament.

Alleged Gang Murderer Resettled as ‘Unaccompanied’ Child Migrant Shielded by Sanctuary 4 Times

How many murderers are roaming around in King County, Washington, because of its sanctuary policies for illegal aliens? It seems like there’s a new horror story every day.

Carlos Daniel Carillo-Lopez is accused of luring Josue Flores, a rival gang member, into Goldsmith Park in King County, Washington, and pistol-whipping him before shooting him to death. The murder took place at midnight on April 3, but it wasn’t until last week that police arrested Carillo-Lopez and three other suspects involved.

Now, an ICE spokesperson tells me, in response to an inquiry from CR, that the main suspect is an illegal alien. “Accused murderer, Carlos Daniel Carillo-Lopez, is a citizen of Guatemala and in the United States illegally. Carillo-Lopez is a known associate of the Crossroads Locos 13, who originally came to the U.S. as an unaccompanied child,” said the spokeswoman for ICE’s Seattle office. “On April 15, 2015, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) encountered and arrested Carillo-Lopez as an unaccompanied child near Sasabe, Arizona, and issued him a notice to appear the following day. He was then transferred to the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement and later released on an order of recognizance to a sponsor in Texas.”

A great many of the youths whom we are resettling in this country under the UAC program are not victims of trafficking, but are dangerous gang members. It remains the most unchecked loophole at our border and poses a tremendous security threat to every city in this country.

And the national policies are aggravated by Washington state’s sanctuary policy, refusing to honor ICE detainers no matter the severity of the crime.

It turns out Carillo-Lopez was in police custody several times both before and after the murder was committed, and each time, authorities ignored ICE detainers. “This is yet again another example of sanctuary policies shielding criminal aliens who prey on people in their own and other communities from immigration enforcement,” said Tanya Roman, an ICE spokeswoman. “As Carillo-Lopez’s crimes increased in severity, local officials chose to release him, time and time again, over immigration detainers that could have taken him off the streets.”

Here is the timeline of the four ignored detainers, according to ICE:

On March 15, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez on local charges and booked him into the South Correctional Entity Jail (SCORE). On March 18, 2019, ICE encountered Carillo-Lopez at SCORE and lodged a detainer. SCORE released Carillo-Lopez on an unknown date without notification to ICE.

On April 04, 2019, BPD again arrested Carillo-Lopez for local charges and booked him into SCORE. ICE encountered him at SCORE on the same day and lodged a detainer. SCORE released him again on an unknown date without notification to ICE.

Just 14 days later, on April 18, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez for various local charges and booked him into SCORE. ICE encountered him a day later and lodged a detainer. Again, SCORE released Carillo-Lopez on an unknown date without notifying ICE.

On June 09, 2019, BPD arrested Carillo-Lopez for local charges and booked him into King County Jail (KCJ) in Seattle, Washington. On June 11, 2019, ICE encountered Carillo-Lopez in the KCJ and lodged a detainer. On June 17, 2019, KCJ released him without notification to ICE.

Finally, he was arrested for the murder along with multiple robbery charges on September 30. ICE lodged a detainer with the King County jail the following day. Thankfully, he is being held on $2 million bond, but sadly, were he to post bond, King County would not honor the detainer even now. Recently, King County released a criminal alien who is accused of stabbing a father in front of his son on a local subway.

The influx of Central American teens is swelling the ranks of gangs throughout the country. Maryland is ground zero for MS-13 recruitment. Last week, four illegal aliens from Central America who came here as teens plead guilty to participating in a gruesome MS-13 murder in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. According to the Annapolis Capital Gazette, “The guilty pleas are the latest in an expansive racketeering case against more than two dozen suspected MS-13 members in the region.”

What’s worse is that thanks to the border crisis, ICE’s resources have been diverted away from interior enforcement so there are fewer agents to hunt down the worst criminal aliens. In a press conference today, acting ICE Director Matt Albence predicted that 15,000 fewer criminal aliens would be arrested this year because of ICE’s triage mission at the border.

When is the last time you’ve seen a Republican senator hold a press conference on this issue the way the Democrats do on gun control? Mitch McConnell? John Cornyn? So long as Republicans in the Senate refuse to make Democrats take tough votes on sanctuary cities, the border crisis, and resettlement of gang-tied illegal alien teens into our communities, this problem will only get worse. ICE Chief Estimates 15,000 Fewer Criminal Alien Arrests Due to Border Crisis Resource Drain

Diverting the resources needed to address the crisis at America’s southern border has led to a drop in arrests of criminal aliens in the U.S. interior, a top Trump administration immigration official said Thursday.

At a White House news conference on Thursday morning, acting ICE Director Matthew Albence told reporters that the agency is expecting a severe drop in criminal alien arrests as a result of the diversion of law enforcement resources to deal with the crisis at the southern border.

The conference was focused on the problem of illegal alien crime and the agency’s efforts to get criminal aliens off the streets. When asked by a reporter about administration efforts to combat illegal border crossings, Albence listed several recent administration actions but also noted that addressing the border crisis has hamstrung ICE’s ability to enforce the law domestically.

Albence continued:

This is one of the problems with this issue, is that we’ve had to redeploy our ICE resources to support the Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection with those challenges at the border, which has made us less safe. Because we’ve had some field offices where we’ve had to shut down our at-large criminal alien teams so that they could handle the influx of people that are coming to this country illegally as well as the increase in people in detention.

“As a result, we’re going to arrest about 15,000 or so fewer criminal aliens this year as a result of what’s going on at the border. So for those, the people that say we should be going after the worst of the worst and going after criminal aliens, I would love to, but that has to come with strong border security.

The diversion of resources to the border situation has been a problem for months. Back in June, ICE Seattle field office acting director Bryan Wilcox told Blaze Media that “better than 10% of my officers are currently on detail either to the border or to other parts of the country in support of the border.” He also said that “if we really want to make a dent on this problem, we need significantly more resources.”

Last month, acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said the consistent drop in border apprehension numbers was made possible because President Donald Trump “has made it very clear that he is going to use every tool available to him and this administration to address this unprecedented crisis at the southern border.”

On Tuesday, Morgan noted that border apprehension numbers dropped for the fourth straight month in September, which had the lowest monthly total for the fiscal year.
