Man Charged With Murder After Forcing Pregnant Girlfriend to Induce Miscarriage

A California man has been arrested on a slew of charges, including murder, for allegedly causing his pregnant girlfriend to miscarry her baby by forcing her to take pills at gunpoint.

Jagmeet Singh Sandhu, 23, was arrested in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon on six felony counts, including first-degree murder, burglary, inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant, assault with a firearm, false imprisonment with violence and threatening with intent to terrorize.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a 911 call came in at around 1am on Wednesday reporting that a pregnant woman had been held at gunpoint and forced by her boyfriend to ingest ‘numerous’ unknown pills with the intent to cause a miscarriage. . .
