Barr Blasts Trump Over Tweets About Roger Stone Case

By Daily Caller. In a surprising rebuke Thursday, Attorney General William Barr criticized President Donald Trump’s tweets about Roger Stone’s case and other Justice Department matters.

“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr told ABC News’ Pierre Thomas in an interview.

Trump on Tuesday blasted federal prosecutors’ recommendation that Stone serve up to nine years in prison for a conviction that stemmed from a case that started under the special counsel. . .

The Justice Department told reporters hours later that officials were “shocked” by the steep prison recommendation. Hours after that, four prosecutors on the Stone case withdrew, with one of them quitting the Justice Department altogether.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., which handled Stone’s case, submitted a new sentencing recommendation for the GOP operative, saying he deserved to spend time in prison, but for “far less” time than initially proposed. So What Exactly Was Barr Doing in Criticizing Trump’s Tweets About the Roger Stone Case?

By Stephen Collinson. Perhaps Barr was acting to protect his own reputation, amid furious criticism of his conduct as the President’s shield. Or was he trying to head off a mutiny in his department? CNN reported on Wednesday that more prosecutors were considering walking out on the Justice Department amid fears for its independence after four lawyers had already quit the Stone case.

In the days ahead it may emerge that Barr gave the White House a heads-up about his move. A coordinated damage-control mission would not be impossible, since more than anyone in the administration, Barr may have leeway to buy some political capital, after basking in Trump’s praise for a string of decisions that appeared to protect the President. . .

One clue that Barr’s critique of Trump may not be an act of complete insubordination is suggested in the substance of his comments about the Stone case. The attorney general said he had always planned to reduce the department’s sentencing recommendation of up to nine years in jail for Stone, Trump’s longtime political fixer, implying that Trump’s tweet made that step more controversial. Biologically Male Runner to Compete in USA Women’s Olympic Trials

A biologically male marathon runner who identifies as a transgender woman is set to compete in the USA Olympic trials later in February.

Megan Youngren “is set to make history on Feb. 29 as the first openly transgender athlete to compete at the U.S. Olympic marathon trials,” Sports Illustrated reported. Youngren qualified for the trials after a strong performance on Dec. 8, 2019 in the California International Marathon.

“People will try to put it down by saying, ‘That’s too easy because you’re trans.’ But what about the 500 other women who will qualify?” Youngren told the magazine. “There’s probably someone with the exact same story.” . . .

The International Olympic Committee requires transgender athletes in women’s sports to keep their testosterone levels below a certain threshold, but scientific research suggests that suppressing testosterone isn’t enough to neutralize biologically male athletes’ inherent physiological advantages. . .

June Eastwood, a biologically male runner at the University of Montana who identifies as transgender, was named the Big Sky Conference’s female athlete of the week in October 2019. Eastwood previously competed on the university’s men’s cross country team. (Read more from “Biologically Male Runner to Compete in USA Women’s Olympic Trials” HERE)

Illegal Alien Gang Member Who Avoided Deportation Seeks Sanctuary in Church

The bromide of “America’s immigration system is broken” often rings hollow in its inherent vagueness, but the case of Jorge Avila is a vivid illustration of what President Trump warned is a system that puts America’s security last and takes advantage of the citizen.

In a puff piece by Denverite, Jorge Avila, a 31-year-old illegal alien from Mexico living in Park Hill, Colorado, is portrayed as “a religious man” who “who grew up in the city’s public school system after emigrating from Mexico in 2000,” who is seeking shelter in Park Hill United Methodist Church and Temple Micah to escape the persecution of ICE and immigration courts. The story depicts him as an all-American boy living on the run, with his children terrified of those ICE stormtroopers. In fact, you’d almost think he’s a legal immigrant.

Here’s the reality of why ICE is interested in him. “Mexican citizen Jorge Eduardo Araiza, 31, aka Jorge Araiza Ávila, a member of the Sureno 13 gang, is illegally present in the U.S. and considered a wanted fugitive by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” said Alethea Smock, spokeswoman for ICE’s Denver field office. “Araiza has multiple criminal convictions to include illegal weapons possession, illegal use of slugs, trespassing, among others, spanning several years.”

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration’s 2019 Drug Threat Assessment, Sureno 13 gang members “have ties with Mexican cartels and they work together to smuggle methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana.” Texas’ Department of Public safety rates the gang a top threat for “their relationship with cartels, propensity for violence, level of criminal activity, involvement in human smuggling, and recruitment of minors.”

Hence, these churches that are supposed to uphold biblical values are harboring foreign gang members. There is a growing problem of churches harboring criminal aliens under the guise of compassion. Last year, a Colorado Springs church harbored an illegal alien despite his prior conviction for DUI and arrests for reckless endangerment and domestic violence. A few months later, he was accused of killing a father of five when his truck swerved into the man’s motorcycle.

There’s also the public policy aspect of this case as well. One would think that at least an illegal alien who also has a criminal record and is a member of a dangerous gang would be removed immediately upon discovery by federal officials. Yet our broken system allows such people to litigate their cases for a decade, violate the terms of the process, and continue to remain here with impunity while having more children who will get to vote just like you and me, as a reward for their parents violating one law after another.

“Araiza illegally entered the U.S. sometime in 2000 and was initially encountered by officers with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in September 2011 and placed into immigration proceedings,” said Smock on the statement. “He failed to appear for his immigration court hearing in August 2012, and an immigration judge ordered him removed in absentia. He appealed the judge’s decision, and in January 2018, he was granted voluntary departure. Araiza failed to depart and filed a petition for review with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, which was denied in January 2020. After exhausting full legal process in his case, Araiza is subject to a final order of removal and must depart the country.”

Commonsense taxpayers might be wondering how we’ve gone from the courts saying for 130 years that there is no right to judicial review for remaining in the country against the national will to a point where illegal aliens have more appeals than you or I would get. Avila now has four young children who, under prevailing administrative procedures, are viewed as American citizens, even though Avila had been affirmatively ordered removed from the country.

In 1996, Bill Clinton signed a law designed to foreclose upon any avenue for litigation by blocking all access to administrative and federal judges for illegal aliens who can’t prove they’ve resided here for two consecutive years. However, the law has not been enforced, allowing millions of criminal aliens to remain here and then litigate their way out of deportation for years thereafter. President Trump is in the process of finally implementing it, but the lower courts are placing injunctions on a law that barred this very sort of judicial intervention in the first place.

This case, in particular, demonstrates a need for immigration reform in which at least those with criminal charges or convictions (in addition to being here illegally) are removed immediately without further review or appeals. Absent such a reform, the citizenry will retain no control over who gets to join the society, the very underpinnings of consent-based society established in the Declaration of Independence.

To put this in its numerical context, there are 3.2 million people who’ve already been targeted for removal, mainly those who’ve committed additional crimes, who remain at large in the country undetained. Of those, 2.1 million have final or pending final removal orders, and the rest are still litigating their way into various kinds of legal status. We know from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) that 83 percent of felons reoffend within nine years of being released. Which means our citizens are needlessly on the hook for recidivist crimes committed by millions of other countries’ criminals who should never have been here to begin with and have no right to judicial review. This One Simple Strategy Can Help Republicans Everywhere Win Elections

A strange dichotomy has emerged from Bernie Sanders winning Iowa and New Hampshire. On the one hand, the Democrat Party is on its way to nominating an avowed socialist anarchist as its presidential candidate. On the other hand, roughly two-thirds of even today’s Democrat primary voters are voting for people who are at least perceived as more out of the box from the party establishment. If we had a Republican Party with a vision for safe, secure, sovereign, and prosperous communities, it could capitalize on the opportunity of a lifetime to drive a wedge between average suburban voters and the Democrat Party.

When you add together the votes of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, the two candidates who are most vocal and emphatic about their anarchist socialism, they compose roughly one-third of the primary vote. Also, most of Sanders’ support is buoyed by very young voters. He won a very small share of voters over 45. It’s evident from the first two Democrat presidential contests is that MSNBC and political Twitter don’t reflect America or even the majority of the Democrat electorate.

Whereas 70 percent of the GOP electorate in 2016 voted for Donald Trump or Ted Cruz, two candidates perceived as being to the right of the party establishment, the majority of Democrat voters are choosing candidates who are perceived as being more moderate than the party at large. The clear lesson is that the country is a lot more conservative than the political establishments let on.

It’s also quite evident that it’s downright political malpractice for Republicans to lose so many suburban voters when Democrats are run by Bernie Sanders and George Soros. These voters are disenchanted with both parties, but they certainly have no use for socialism, anarchy, and the embracing of criminals, terrorists, and illegal aliens in their communities. Just look at Democrats in Virginia promoting draconian gun control while they release violent criminals from prison and promote transgenderism in the schools. Suburban voters in states like Virginia might have been wary of Trump’s personality, but they certainly didn’t vote for this.

Imagine if Republicans capitalized on the impending Democrat implosion to actually speak to these voters and win a landslide up and down the ballot in November … and then delivered much-needed change?

However, that would take a coherent and united message, not just from the president, but from all Republicans running for office. What did the GOP-controlled Congress actually do during the first two years of this presidency, aside from the tax cuts? Almost every positive development was brought about through executive actions, many of which continue to be stymied by judicial interference that goes unchecked by Congress. Congressional Republicans should offer voters a new contract articulating what they will actually do on the other side of this election for the forgotten American taxpayers and consumers.

Rather than just winning an election battle, which Democrats are making increasingly easy for the GOP, how about trying to win cultural and civilization wars and actual policy outcomes?

Imagine if we had an entire new movement dedicated to new policies and messaging for returning power to the people from the federal courts, which have upended republicanism.

Imagine a party running on restoring the pyramid of governance and championing localism to make state legislatures great again.

Imagine a party running on creating a new tax system where localism would reign supreme and states would take the lead in setting the overall structure of the code.

Imagine a party that used its entire messaging apparatus to give a vision for an immigration system that enriches America rather than one that turns our communities into dumping grounds.

Imagine if we had a party that, while pushing localism for local issues, made the federal government strong and effective in the few areas it is supposed to dominate to protect national sovereignty and security. A party that relentlessly battled sanctuary cities in deed, not just in half-hearted rhetoric. A party with a vision for stemming the tide of gangs, drugs, and criminal aliens coming over the border and being harbored by these rebellious cities.

Imagine a party that placed the interests of victims of crime and the safety of suburban communities ahead of those of criminals with as much rigor as Democrats promote criminals.

Imagine a party that is able to speak about our 18 years of foreign policy failures engaging in Middle East urban renewal projects and a vision of peace through strength that always puts our interests first and focuses more on the threat at our border and China’s asymmetrical war against us.

Imagine a party that ran on rooting out crony capitalism and venture socialism, such as the ethanol mandate, which raises the cost of food and fuel in order to enrich wealthy lobbyists.

Imagine a party that ran on system reforms to our entire government, such as an Article V Convention, balanced budgets, and term limits.

And imagine a party with a vision of health care that eliminates the insurance cartel from getting between you and your doctor?

Trump is either intuitively oriented or at least open to most or all of these principles. However, absent a party whose congressional, gubernatorial, and state legislative candidates, along with its communications apparatus and donors, uniformly and emphatically push these principles with equal force against the way the Left pushes socialism and anarchy, we will not achieve this bold contrast after the election. Furthermore, absent any strong direction within the ranks of congressional Republicans, the swamp within the executive branch and among GOP leadership will neutralize Trump’s second term.

At the very least, House conservatives should craft a new contract with the forgotten American citizen to place American taxpayers first in everything government does. They should then publicize a 300-day plan of what they will do to further those principles legislatively if they win back the House. At some point, winning elections needs to be about winning the republic. (For more from the author of “This One Simple Strategy Can Help Republicans Everywhere Win Elections” please click HERE)

New Hampshire Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Pro-Trump Teen at Polling Site

A New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two adults at a polling site during the state’s first-in-the-nation primary earlier this week. . .

The Windham Police Department said Patrick Bradley, 34, of Windham, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Fox News has learned that the suspect got in the face of the teenage boy who was wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat and volunteering at the Trump tent at Windham High School, a polling location for the New Hampshire primary.

Police said the incident happened Tuesday as Bradley exited the voting location inside the high school and was walking by a Trump campaign tent occupied by several supporters. As he passed by the tent, police said, Bradley slapped a 15-year old juvenile across the face and then assaulted two other adults who attempted to intercede. . .

Bradley is also accused of throwing Trump campaign signs and attempting to knock over the campaign tent, police said. (Read more from “New Hampshire Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Pro-Trump Teen at Polling Site” HERE)

Sanders Campaign Worries AOC’s Rhetoric Going Too Far

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is arguably the greatest weapon in the Bernie Sanders campaign arsenal, according to a report in Vanity Fair. So, while Senator Sanders was stuck in D.C. for the impeachment trial, AOC hit the campaign trail in Iowa on behalf of the senator. After a three-day stint stumping for Bernie, Faiz Shakir, Sanders’ campaign manager, reportedly sent a text to AOC’s campaign manager to express his unhappiness with some of the congresswoman’s remarks.

(Via Vanity Fair)

Specifically, the Sanders campaign was miffed that Ocasio-Cortez didn’t mention Sanders by name when she closed out a campaign event at the University of Iowa on a Friday night at the end of last month—a fact that Fox News picked up on. …

Ocasio-Cortez’s comments about the abolition of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol were also seen by some within the Sanders campaign as going too far, straying from Sanders’s stance on the issues in encouraging people not to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, according to this source. During an event in Ames, Iowa, Ocasio-Cortez told the crowd, “Organizing is about tipping people off if you start to see that ICE and CBP are in communities to try and keep people safe.” She continued, “I’m not here to reform some of these systems when we talk about immigration. I’m here because Senator Sanders has actually committed to breaking up ICE and CBP. That’s why I’m here.” (Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign declined to comment.)

Abolishing ICE is a major platform plank for AOC and a number of other progressive figures—including Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, who have also endorsed Sanders. In the past, Sanders has been for stricter immigration laws than those supported by some of his progressive colleagues, though he’s tacked left more recently.

New Republican Bill Would Punish States That Give Driver’s License to Illegal Aliens

A new bill sponsored by Republicans would cut funding that goes to states that grant driver’s licenses to illegal aliens.

The bill is called the “Stop Greenlighting Driver Licenses for Illegal Immigrants Act,” and would end funding to those states from a program that issues federal criminal justice funding from the Department of Justice. . .

“Tennesseans know all too well what can happen when illegal immigrants are granted driver licenses,” said a statement by [Marsha] Blackburn.

“While Tennessee and many other states prohibit driver licenses for illegal aliens, a growing number of states are moving in the opposite direction and unleashing dangerous open borders policies. Immigrants must follow the proper federal process and obtain citizenship or lawful status before obtaining a state driver license,” she added. . .

Proponents of laws that grant driver’s licenses to illegals say that such policies would allow them to obtain insurance and put citizens in less risk. Critics argue that it rewards criminality. Triggered Leftists Caught on Video Physically Attacking College Republicans, Destroying Display — and Apparently Getting Away With It

Once again, triggered leftists have physically attacked conservatives on a college campus — and why? Once again, because they dared to set up a display and exercised their First Amendment rights.

Video caught an ultra woke duo at the University of California, Santa Cruz, walking up to a table set up by College Republicans and destroying it last Friday. . .

They yelled several times that the “Trump 2020” banner was a “flag of white supremacy.” They ripped up and ripped down their signs. They spit on and tried to take away their Betsy Ross flag. . .

Dylan Temple, president of the UC Santa Cruz College Republicans, told The College Fix he was doxxed on social media with a false accusation that he attacked individuals at the campus LGBTQ center, which he said was done in retaliation for following the aggressors until police arrived. Mike Bloomberg Hires Instagram Influencers, FYRE Festival Social Media Experts To Promote Presidential Campaign

Former New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg is now paying Instagram influencers with thousands of followers — including the social media agency that promoted the epically disasterous FYRE Festival — to promote his presidential campaign.

Buzzfeed News reports “a bunch of huge Instagram meme accounts, including @FuckJerry and @Tank.Sinatra, posted sponcon Wednesday night for Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg,” just hours after news broke that Bloomberg had been seeking out Instagram accounts willing to take political ads — a somewhat odd part of the multi-million dollar digital advertising strategy Bloomberg’s team is rolling out to promote the Democratic presidential candidate ahead of all-important primaries in South Carolina and Nevada.

“The memes, written in the form of fake DMs between Bloomberg and the accounts,” Buzzfeed says, “playfully roast the billionaire candidate whose campaign leans heavily on online advertising, and who has come under scrutiny for his record of over-policing black and Latino men when he was New York City mayor.” . . .

Most notable among Bloomberg’s targeted accounts, though, is Jerry Media, the infamous digital agency that “headlined” the social media strategy for the FYRE Festival — a bizarre effort to create an “exclusive” music festival on a remote island in the Bahamas that ended with thousands of stranded festival-goers forced to fend for themselves, “Lord of the Flies” style, after organizers failed to bring even the most basic aspects of a music festival together ahead of the scheduled event. The Daily Beast reports that some individuals affiliated with the FYRE Festival have pointed fingers at Jerry Media for being “complicit in the scam.” (Read more from “Mike Bloomberg Hires Instagram Influencers, FYRE Festival Social Media Experts To Promote Presidential Campaign” HERE)

Actor to Name Hollywood Pedophiles During Groundbreaking Livestream Documentary; “Too Dangerous” for Netflix

By the Blaze. Actor Corey Feldman has announced that he will be naming Hollywood pedophiles in an upcoming livestream documentary about his experience as a child actor.

Feldman will also address the alleged abuse late actor Corey Haim suffered at the hands of the same purported pedophiles. . .

The film is set to be aired one time via livestream on March 9. Tickets go on sale on Feb. 22. Movieweb reports that Feldman said Netflix declined to distribute the film because it is “too dangerous.”

In the newly released trailer, Feldman can be seen speaking to an interviewer about the 911 call he placed to report the alleged sexual abuse.

Feldman looks apprehensive as the interviewer pulls up audio footage of what appears to be the 911 call on a cell phone, which he prepares to play for Feldman. (Read more from “Actor to Name Hollywood Pedophiles During Groundbreaking Livestream Documentary” HERE)

Hollywood’s Biggest Problem? Hollywood Pedophiles, Not “Me Too”

By Hannah Sparks. Corey Feldman wants the world to know: Pedophilia is “Hollywood’s biggest problem” . . .

The “Goonies” and “Stand by Me” actor also criticized the industry for impeding his film’s production by sending lawyers to block access to police reports and footage. “Nobody wants to go after the bad guys,” he said.

The eccentric star also took aim at #MeToo, decrying the film industry for giving momentum to that movement while ignoring his own explosive accusations for so long. . .

Feldman claims the pair — then two of the world’s most popular teen icons — were assaulted at the height of their careers. But by the time they were 19, the close friends and co-stars were addicts whose careers were all but finished. It’s been insinuated that the abuse contributed to their addiction. In the past, former child actor Alison Arngrim (“Little House on the Prairie”) claimed that “everyone knew” that Feldman and Haim were “passed around,” “given drugs” and “used for sex.” (Read more about the Hollywood Pedophiles HERE)
