Recent Poll: 80 Percent of Americans Say Country Is ‘out of Control’

An overwhelming majority of American voters believe that things are “out of control” in the country, according to a new poll.

The newest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll posed the question “When it comes to the country these days, do you generally feel that things in the country are…,” to which 80 percent of respondents chose “out of control” versus 15 percent who chose “under control.”

The final year of President Trump’s first term has been incredibly challenging, calling on him to handle the response to the global coronavirus pandemic as well as national protests following the death of George Floyd in police custody. As such, the poll covered several topics, including approval ratings over Trump’s handling of the current crises and election preferences between Trump and Joe Biden. Reebok, an apparel brand owned by Adidas, ended its business partnership with CrossFit following the fitness company’s CEO mocking a declaration of “racism” as “a public health issue.”

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, an organization located at the University of Washington and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, tweeted on Saturday that “racism is a public health issue.”

Greg Glassman, CrossFit’s CEO, responded via Twitter, “It’s FLOYD-19.” . . .

Business Insider obtained a response from Reebok via a statement: “Recently, we have been in discussions regarding a new agreement, however, in light of recent events, we have made the decision to end our partnership with CrossFit HQ. WATCH: Facebook Deletes Ad of Gun-Toting Congressional Candidate Who Warns Antifa to Stay out of Her State

Facebook deleted a campaign ad from a GOP candidate in Georgia because she was brandishing a gun in the political commercial.

Marjorie Greene is running in Georgia’s 14th District, and she already grabbed attention with a campaign ad where she warns Antifa to stay out of Georgia. In the ad, Greene is standing on the porch of a local business, and she is armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

“I have a message for Antifa terrorists,” Greene says. “Stay the hell out of Northwest Georgia.”

“You won’t burn our churches, loot our businesses or destroy our homes,” Greene tells Antifa.

Greene posted the campaign ad on Tuesday, but it was deleted by Facebook on Thursday. Facebook told Greene’s campaign that the ad was pulled because it violated the company’s policies against promoting the use of firearms.

Report: These Top Republicans Will Not Support Trump’s Re-Election

Former President George W. Bush will not support President Donald Trump’s re-election, the New York Times reported Saturday.

People familiar with the 43rd president’s thinking told the Times that Bush will not support Trump or Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

However, Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush, refuted the Times’ reporting. He said that Bush plans to speak publicly only on matters of policy — and that he has yet to decide which 2020 presidential candidate he will support. . .

According to the Times, other top Republicans will also not support Trump’s re-election. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) won’t support Trump, Jeb Bush is unsure of how he will vote, while Cindy McCain, the widow of Sen. John McCain, is reportedly considering casting her ballot for Biden.

Former top military officials and government officials who are Republicans or served Republican administrations also expressed dismay at the options in 2020, according to the Times. Even one sitting Republican congressman, Rep. Francis Rooney (R-Fla.), told the Times he has considered voting for Biden because Trump is “driving us all crazy.” (Read more from “Report: These Top Republicans Will Not Support Trump’s Re-Election” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Asks Appeals Court to Help Her Dodge Judicial Watch Deposition on Emails and Benghazi

A three-judge appeals court panel heard arguments this week from Hillary Clinton’s lawyer and Judicial Watch as the former secretary of state seeks to avoid a deposition about her private email server and the Benghazi attack talking points.

Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, argued Tuesday that the depositions of Clinton and Clinton’s former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, ordered by a D.C. district court judge was necessary to understand whether Clinton attempted to avoid the Freedom of Information Act when she improperly used a private server to conduct her State Department business and whether the agency adequately searched for all her emails.

“It is certainly within the authority of the district court to hear from the agency head herself about whether there was intent,” said Judicial Watch attorney Ramona Cotca.

Clinton wanted to “short-circuit this process by using the most potent weapon in the judicial arsenal to prevent the district court from ever being able to reach a determination of whether there was ever an adequate search,” Cotca said.

The FBI investigated Clinton’s use of the server, hosted in the basement of her home in Chappaqua, New York, while she was secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. Although former FBI Director James Comey found Clinton was “extremely careless” in handling classified emails, no criminal charges were recommended against anyone following the bureau’s “Midyear Exam” investigation. Clinton deleted 33,000 supposedly non-work-related emails. (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Asks Appeals Court to Help Her Dodge Judicial Watch Deposition on Emails and Benghazi” HERE)

LA Mayor Calls His Police Force ‘Killers’

Mayors and governors across the land have run to the cameras and microphones to be among the first to kneel in supplication to the riotous mobs in the streets. . .

Naturally, these “leaders” assume the officers in their departments are equally capable of committing these acts. They promise to do better! Unsaid is their plaintive appeal, “Don’t hurt me. Pretty please?”

. . .Garcetti discussed his “defunding the police” plan of reducing the police funding by $150 million and moving another $100 million from other city budgetary priorities to hand over to the mobs for special placative programs.

Toward the end of a short speech, Garcetti outlined eight ways LA has already changed up the way cops operate. He lobbed bombs against President Trump, calling him a “political pyromaniac.” He repeated provable lies about how the Park Police used tear gas to clear a path so that Trump could get a photo op with a Bible – a shot that was met with nods of approval, Garcetti said:

I’ve gotten calls from all over the country from mayors who say I’m so excited to others saying what the hell did you do, now I’ve gotta shift money. That’s exactly the point. It starts someplace and we say we are going to be who we want to be or we are going to continue to be the killers that we are. (Read more from “LA Mayor Calls His Police Force ‘Killers'” HERE)

WATCH: Throngs of Democrats and Media Personalities Lie and Claim Trump Said the Jobs Report Was ‘a Great Day for [George Floyd.]’ Here’s What He Actually Said.

By The Blaze. A myriad of Democrats and left-leaning politicos swiftly pounced on President Trump Friday for supposedly suggesting that George Floyd is “looking down from heaven” in appreciation of the United States’ strong May jobs report and saying “this is a great day for him.”

There’s only one problem — they’re completely ripping the president’s comments out of context. . .

Yes, the president was delivering a scheduled address about the May jobs report from the Rose Garden Friday morning and yes, during that address he suggested that “this is a great day” for George Floyd. But those two facts are not directly related as many are suggesting. During the address, Trump changed subjects to specifically speak about the country’s push for equal justice under the law. . .

“We all saw what happened last week. We can’t let that happen,” he continued. “Hopefully George is looking down right now and saying, ‘This is a great thing that’s happening for our country.’ This is a great day for him. It’s a great day for everybody. This is a great day for everybody. This a great, great day in terms of equality.” (Read more from “WATCH: Throngs of Democrats and Media Personalities Lie and Claim Trump Said the Jobs Report Was ‘a Great Day for [George Floyd.]’ Here’s What He Actually Said.” HERE)

Trump Suggests George Floyd Is ‘Looking Down’ From Heaven and Appreciating the ‘Great Day in Terms of Equality’ After an Unexpectedly Strong Jobs Report Was Announced

By Business Insider. In a freewheeling Friday-morning press conference in the Rose Garden, President Donald Trump touted a strong May jobs report and said he hoped George Floyd, who was killed by the Minneapolis police 10 days ago, was “looking down” from heaven and saying this “is a great thing that’s happening for our country.” . . .

In a statement to Insider, a Trump campaign spokeswoman pushed back on the notion that Trump was implying that Floyd would be thinking the jobs report was a “great thing happening.”

“In the course of Rose Garden remarks about strong economic news, the President also spoke of the national conversation that is taking place following Mr. Floyd’s killing, and of Americans coming together on the belief that everyone should be treated equally under the law,” said Courtney Parella, a deputy press secretary. “Media claims that the President said that Mr. Floyd would be praising the economic news are wrong, purposefully misrepresented, and maliciously crafted.” (Read more from “Trump Suggests George Floyd Is ‘Looking Down’ From Heaven and Appreciating the ‘Great Day in Terms of Equality’ After an Unexpectedly Strong Jobs Report Was Announced” HERE)

SHOCK REPORT: Unemployment Rate Dropped to 13.3%; Republicans Cheer: The Trump Recovery Is Ahead of Schedule

By Washington Examiner. The economy gained 2.5 million jobs in May, lowering the unemployment rate to 13.3%, the Labor Department said Friday.

The payroll gains, the largest on record, represented a stunning development and a hint that the worst-case scenario for the economy might not come to pass. Forecasters had expected job losses of 8 million and an unemployment rate of about 20%.

“This looks like the shortest recession in history,” said Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist for MUFG.

Employment rose sharply in sectors such as leisure, hospitality, and retail as states began to reopen last month — the same industries that had seen extreme rates of layoffs as the pandemic struck. The leisure and hospitality sectors saw job gains of 1.2 million, following losses of 7.5 million in April and 743,000 in March. The retail sector gained 368,000 in May, after a loss of 2.3 million in April. . .

Altogether, 7.7 million unemployed workers went back to work in May, a sign that many of the employees who were temporarily dismissed during the worst of the pandemic will be able to rejoin their old employers. (Read more from “SHOCK REPORT: Unemployment Rate Dropped to 13.3%” HERE)

Republicans Cheer: The Trump Recovery Is Ahead of Schedule

By Washington Examiner. President Trump claimed vindication Friday as a surprise positive jobs report previewed what he called the “greatest comeback in American history” for a coronavirus-crippled economy — and perhaps for his own reelection campaign.

Unemployment dropped to 13.3% in May as the economy added 2.5 million jobs, the Department of Labor reported. Forecasters had expected a loss of 8 million jobs and an unemployment rate of 20%. Trump himself might not have been expecting such success so soon. He had been predicting a “transition to greatness” as federal relief spending and reopening from the coronavirus-induced shutdowns pulled the economy out of a Depression-like stupor into a strong fourth quarter followed by “through the roof” growth next year.

“I think you’re going to have a very good August, maybe July,” Trump said in the Rose Garden Friday. “Maybe a spectacular September.”

“Having these positive job numbers is exactly just what America needed at the end of one of the most challenging weeks our country has faced in quite some time,” said Republican strategist Ron Bonjean. “As the country is opening back up for business, so is the American economy, and hopefully, the trend will keep moving in the right direction.” (Read more from “Republicans Cheer: The Trump Recovery Is Ahead of Schedule” HERE)

DC Mayor Ends Curfew, Asks Out-Of-State National Guard Troops to Leave

Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser said Thursday that she’s ending a curfew for residents protesting police brutality and that she wants National Guard troops from other states to leave.

Bowser announced the end of four nights of curfew at a press conference following two nights of relative peace despite thousands defying her earlier curfews to protest the killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police.

The mayor said that she wants thousands of National Guard members from other states to return home as order is restored. Bowser said local authorities never requested guardsmen from elsewhere and are studying the legality of their deployment.

“We want troops from out of state out of Washington, DC,” Bowser said.

The local DC National Guard was deployed on Saturday to help protect the White House after initial skirmishes on Friday between Secret Service and protesters. (Read more from “DC Mayor Ends Curfew, Asks Out-Of-State National Guard Troops to Leave” HERE)

Expert Advice: It Looks Like the 180-Degree Turn on COVID Lockdowns Just Became a Huge In-Kind Contribution to Trump’s Re-Election

Is this the end of the “expert”? If not, we’re on that trajectory with the medical community’s transparent shift regarding the lockdowns over the coronavirus outbreak. Businesses couldn’t reopen because we needed to control the spread, flatten the curve, and ensure the hospitals were not overrun. Venturing out made you a selfish bastard. And then, a couple of weeks prior, though some of you were already poking holes through the narrative, there was a great reversal. Some were grounded in good news. . .

You have to admit, this lockdown narrative was a well-executed strategy. The liberal media keeps up the doom and gloom news, which tanks the markets. The political class seeing this chooses the “better safe than sorry” approach and enacts stay-at-home orders, and then the pinch on businesses begins. The hope was to keep fear alive and let this eat into Trump’s re-election chances. Those who deviate are shamed. Rinse and repeat until the data starts to show this was an overreaction. And now, with a new issue that can be used to attack Trump, get on out and riot.

Liberal reporter Michael Tracey, who has gone after other Lefties for their insanity over Trump-Russia collusion, has been on a tear. First, he rightfully slammed the left-wing activist-media complex for being coddled babies who are totally insane. Now, he’s set his sights on the medical folks who now say put COVID on pause, as if this is a video game, and smash racism. . .

[Warning: Tweets contain explicit language.]

And this is how you morph a colossal event that possibly could have hurt Trump in 2020 into a massive in-kind contribution to his re-election effort. Why? Because liberals are stupid. Yes, their allies in the media did a swell job selling panic and trashing the market. And then thinking this reversal after everything that’s been said—it’s just…you cannot make it up. The liberal bias is explicitly clear, and be prepared to defend every suggestion you make from here on out because the default position should be to look on these clowns with contempt and skepticism.
