Vice President Mike Pence focused on America’s greatness during his Wednesday night speech at the Republican National Convention. According to the vice president, the Biden-Harris ticket is focused on bringing the country down and into darkness while the Trump-Pence ticket is inspired to build America up.

“In these challenging times… our country needs a president who believes in America. Who believes in the boundless capacity of the American people to meet any challenge, defeat any foe, and defend the freedoms we all hold dear…America needs four more years of President Donald Trump in the White House!” he exclaimed. . .

“Over the past four years, I’ve worked closely with our president. I’ve seen him when the cameras are off. Americans see President Trump in lots of different ways but there’s no doubt how President Trump sees America. He sees America for what it is… a nation that has done more good in this world than any other, a nation that deserves far more gratitude than grievance,” he explained. . .

“On November 3rd, you need to ask yourself: Who do you trust to rebuild this economy? A career politician who presided over the slowest economic recovery since the Great Depression or a proven leader who created the greatest economy in the world?” Pence asked. Are the Media Trying to Throw the Election to Trump?

. . .Trump claims he’s the antidote to the mass riots in cities across the country, but what powers will he have after being reelected that he doesn’t have right now, while he’s already president?

Our only alternative is the party that “embraces Black Lives Matter,” as The Washington Post admitted, calling Democrats’ cuddling up to BLM a “remarkable development in American politics, as a major party sought to associate itself fully with an emerging protest movement.”

So your choice is: a president who denounces riots, looting and violence in the streets, but does nothing, or a president who actively supports the people doing the riots, looting and violence in the streets.

And what can the media say? They denied the riots were even happening, then blamed “white supremacists” for the violence they said didn’t exist. (Is it the Boogaloo Boys or QAnon?) Now the media are calling the riots “peaceful protests” again, so I guess they know it’s their side doing the arson and destruction. They want to disrespect our flag – burn the stars and stripes that represent patriotism and the American dream,” he explained. “They want to disrespect our National Anthem by taking a knee, while our armed forces lay down their lives every day to protect our freedom. They do not want the Pledge of Allegiance in our Schools. Many, do not want ‘one nation under God.'”

“The Democrats want to defund, destroy, and disrespect our law enforcement. The Democrats want an America where your thoughts and opinions are censored when they do not align with their own,” he said.

According to the younger Trump, the president ran to stand up for the American people who often feel forgotten, especially those in “flyover” states.

“The media mocked these patriots – and ‘the flyover states’ in which they lived. They ignored the Trump flags. They ignored the millions of MAGA banners and barns painted in red, white and blue,” he recalled. “The Silent Majority had no one fighting for them in either party. Their so called leaders were bowing to China, bribing Iran, and spending more time worrying about how they were received by the elites in Paris than how Americans would provide for their families in Pittsburgh.”

Tiffany Trump Criticizes Media and Tech Giants at RNC for Promoting Bias, Stoking Division

By Daily Caller. Tiffany Trump, President Trump’s daughter, rebuked the media, tech companies and college campuses for censorship and stoking division at the second day of the Republuan National Convention.

Trump, who recently graduated law school, touted her father’s accomplishments related to the economy, criminal justice and health care before criticizing the media and tech giants for “manipulation” and bias.

“Our thoughts, our opinions and even the choice of who we are voting for are being manipulated and visibly coerced by the media and tech giants,” Trump said.

“If you tune into the media you get one biased opinion or another, and what you share, if it doesn’t fit into the narrative that they seek to promote, then it’s either ignored or deemed a lie, regardless of the truth,” she added. Black Lives Matters Protesters Accost White Diners for Not Raising Fists

A group of young Black Lives Matters protesters harassed several white diners in Washington, DC on Monday night for not raising their fists in solidarity.

One of the dramatic scenes, which has since gone viral, was captured by Washington Post reporter Fredrick Kunkle and posted to Twitter.

The video shows a crowd of young, mainly white, demonstrators closely surrounding and berating the woman, identified as Lauren Victor.

WATCH: Troll Broadcasts KKK Rally During WWE Match

The WWE is facing backlash after a virtual fan displayed what appeared to be a Ku Klux Klan rally during a live match.

The man in a KKK hood speaking into a microphone was broadcast from the Thunderdome virtual stands at the end of “Monday Night Raw,” Wrestling News reported.

Several eagle-eyed fans spotted the offensive image in the online crowd and shared it on social media.

“Yo KKK was on the Thunderdome on raw,” wrote one user.

Alaska AG Resigns After Sending 558 Messages to Young Female Employee

By The Hill. Alaska Attorney General Kevin Clarkson (R) has resigned from his post after allegedly sending 558 “uncomfortable” text messages to a younger female colleague earlier this year.

In his letter of resignation to Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) obtained by The Hill, Clarkson said that it was an honor to serve the state, noting that he was “deeply moved” when the governor appointed him.

“I regret that my actions and errors in judgment in interacting with a state employee have become a distraction to the good work and good people working in the state’s and your service,” he wrote.

Records obtained by the Anchorage Daily News and ProPublica show Clarkson sending the female employee hundreds of text messages at all hours during a 27-day span, including late at night, usually punctuated with suggestive emojis such as a kiss face.

Alaska AG Resigns After Sending Junior State Employee Inappropriate Text Messages

By NBC News. Alaska Attorney General Kevin Clarkson resigned Tuesday after he admitted to repeatedly sending inappropriate text messages to a junior state employee, the governor announced in a statement.

“Kevin Clarkson has admitted to conduct in the workplace that did not live up to our high expectations, and this is deeply disappointing,” Gov. Mike Dunleavy, who appointed Clarkson to the role, said. “This morning he took responsibility for the unintentional consequences of his actions and tendered his resignation to me. I have accepted it.” . . .

In messages sent in March, Clarkson referred to the junior employee as “sweet lady,” asking her to come over to his home, and telling her she was “beautiful.” He often used the kiss emoji.

“Haven’t seen you in awhile, so you owe me a number of hugs,” Clarkson texted her March 26, according to ProPublica and the Anchorage Daily News. The attorney general was not the woman’s supervisor, but their jobs required them to interact.

Alaska Attorney General Quits After Texts With Woman Surface

By Seattle Times. . .In his resignation letter, Clarkson confirmed the text conversations were with a state employee who didn’t work for the Department of Law and whom he did not supervise.

They discussed food, movies, books and even attempts by Clarkson’s wife to get a visa for her son to leave Colombia. Dunleavy had previously written to President Donald Trump asking if he could help clear immigration challenges so Clarkson’s wife and stepson could join him in Alaska.

New CDC Guidelines Say Wearing a Mask Isn’t Effective During Prolonged Exposure to COVID-19

Guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention state that those who come in close contact with someone with the coronavirus for more than 15 minutes could spread the virus regardless of whether either party wears a mask.

“Wondering what @cdcgov really thinks about masks? Their guidance on quarantining after exposure to someone with #covid explicitly states whether the infected OR exposed person wore masks doesn’t matter,” former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson tweeted Sunday. . .

The CDC states on its Public Health Guidance for Community-Related Exposure page that those who come in close contact with people showing COVID-19 symptoms or someone who has tested positive for the virus can spread the infection whether or not they are wearing masks.

CDC states that “data to inform the definition of close contact are limited.” Factors “to consider” when defining close contact are duration of exposure, proximity to an infected person, and whether or not that person is presenting symptoms. Data for what a prolonged exposure is are iffy; however, longer than 15 minutes can be considered an operational definition, according to the CDC. National Intelligence: Unmatched ‘National Security Threat’ Posed by China Includes Election Interference

China poses a greater national security challenge to the United States than any other country, including when it comes to possible election interference, according to Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.

With the Nov. 3 presidential election fast approaching, a senior U.S. counterintelligence official warned earlier this month that Russia is actively trying to denigrate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. That same statement also said China “prefers” President Trump not win reelection and that Beijing views him as being more “unpredictable.” That counterintelligence official said China is “expanding its influence efforts ahead of November 2020” but seemed to describe China’s efforts as being mostly rhetorical in nature.

But in a statement given to the Washington Examiner, Ratcliffe, a former Texas Republican congressman who has overseen the nation’s 17 intelligence agencies since May, amplified the sense of urgency felt by the Trump administration to counter the broad reach of the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to disrupt an unfavorable status quo.

“China poses a greater national security threat to the U.S. than any other nation — economically, militarily and technologically,” Ratcliffe said. “That includes threats of election influence and interference.”

He said China is “concerned” that Trump being reelected would “lead to a continuation of policies that they perceive to be ‘anti-China.'” Ratcliffe did not mention how Biden, a former vice president, is viewed in Beijing as an alternative U.S. leader. WATCH: Mother of Jacob Blake Says She Is ‘Praying’ for Police Officers, Condemns Rioting and Looting in Son’s Name

The mother of Jacob Blake, who was shot Sunday by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin, addressed the public during a press conference regarding the status of her son Tuesday afternoon.

“We really just need prayers,” Julia Jackson said. She added that she “noticed a lot of damage” around the city.

“It doesn’t reflect my son or my family. If Jacob knew what was going on, as far as that goes, the violence and the destruction, he would be very unpleased. So I’m really asking and encouraging everyone in Wisconsin and abroad to take a moment and examine your hearts. Citizens, police officers, firemen, clergy, politicians, do Jacob justice on this level and examine your hearts. We need healing,” Jackson said. . .

“As I pray for my son’s healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, I also have been praying even before this for the healing of our country. God has placed each and everyone of us in this country because he wanted us to be here,” she said.

“Clearly, you can see by now that I have beautiful brown skin. But take a look at your hand, and whatever shade it is, it is beautiful as well. How dare we hate what we are. We are humans. God did not make one type of tree, or flower, or fish, or horse, or grass, or rock. How dare you ask him to make one type of human that looks just like you. I’m not talking to just caucasian people. I’m talking to everyone: white, black, Japanese, Chinese, red, brown — no one is superior to the other. The only supreme being is God himself. Please, let’s begin to pray for healing for our nation. We are the United States. Have we been united? Do you understand what’s going to happen when we fall? Because a house that is against each other cannot stand. To all of the police officers, I’m praying for you and your families,” Jackson added. Biden Campaign Tries to Distance Itself From Linda Sarsour, but There’s One Problem

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign has publicly distanced itself from former Women’s March co-chair Linda Sarsour.

But Biden’s running mate, California Sen. Kamala Harris, enthusiastically embraced the Women’s March under Sarsour’s leadership, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found.

Biden’s campaign has also maintained a private channel of communication with Sarsour, who has faced scrutiny for her ties to radical figures including Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a notorious anti-Semite.

Sarsour and other Women’s March leaders resigned from the organization in September 2019 after facing criticism for allegedly making anti-Semitic remarks and affiliating with Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.
