City Hid COVID-19 Info From Public to Continue Lockdown Restrictions
In a disturbing revelation, emails discovered by local press show that Nashville’s leadership hid information about the virility of the COVID-19 virus in order to keep city lockdowns in place.
According to Fox affiliate, WZTV in Nashville, Tennessee, emails between the Mayor’s senior advisor and the Health Department show that information was given to them about the Coronavirus that showed cases resulting from bars and restaurants were incredibly low. City leadership’s reaction was to keep this away from the public’s view and keep the city in an unnecessary lockdown:
On June 30th, contact tracing was given a small view of coronavirus clusters. Construction and nursing homes were found to be causing problems with more than a thousand cases traced to each category, but bars and restaurants reported just 22 cases.
Leslie Waller from the health department asks, “This isn’t going to be publicly released, right? Just info for Mayor’s Office?”
“Correct, not for public consumption,” writes senior advisor Benjamin Eagles.
