Pelosi Announces Intention to Push Constitutional Measure to Remove President Trump From Office

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a dramatic announcement during her weekly press conference Thursday by telling reporters that she intends to discuss a constitutional measure to remove President Trump from office, following questions regarding Trump’s health as he recovers from coronavirus.

The 25th Amendment allows for the vice president to become acting president if is determined that the president “is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

“Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow,” Pelosi said. “We’re going to be talking about the 25th Amendment.” . . .

Pelosi had earlier questioned the status of Trump’s health, as well as exactly how long he has had COVID-19.

A Little Media Bias in this Headline? “All Republican Texas Supreme Court Rules That 2 Million Voters in Houston Can’t Get Applications for Mail-In Ballots”

The all-Republican Texas Supreme Court has blocked Houston election officials from sending mail-in ballot applications to over 2 million registered voters in the state’s most populous county.

On Wednesday, the state’s highest civil court said that Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins would not be allowed to send out 2.4 million ballots in an effort to expand voting options to Texans during the coronavirus pandemic. . .

The state sued Hollins in August, arguing that sending out applications for mail-in ballots would overstep his authority and cause confusion among voters who are ineligible for an absentee ballot under state rules. Hollins argued that the applications would come with clear instructions and would be beneficial to residents, given the health concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

However, the court ruled against Hollins, stating that voting documents are accessible online and that while they are typically sent out by political campaigns or other private organizations, distribution from a government official would exceed the official’s legal authority. Biden Would Ban and Criminalize the Most Popular Selling Centerfire Rifle

The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearm industry, is focusing on former Vice President Joe Biden’s radical antigun campaign promise to ban, register and confiscate the most popular selling centerfire rifles – the modern sporting rifle – sold in America today. Biden borrowed a page from the failed campaign of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke to craft an agenda that would hobble Constitutionally-protected rights for law-abiding Americans.

“Joe Biden’s gun grab isn’t original, but is it is shockingly honest that they admit the end game. His campaign promise to confiscate guns rips the mask off the lie told by gun control for decades,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Yes, they are coming for your guns. The Biden-Harris campaign literally spelled out how they would do this and would violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, but instead destroy it.”

The Biden-Harris gun control agenda proposes to ban the sale and manufacture of modern sporting rifles, or what the campaign terms “assault rifles” or “weapons of war.” In fact, these firearms are just semiautomatic firearms that uses 100-year-old technology and have been sold commercially since the early 1960s. Semiautomatic firearms expend one round for each squeeze of the trigger, unlike the military’s automatic firearms that continue to fire automatically while the trigger is depressed. The Biden campaign is purposefully conflating the similar appearances of AR-15s and the military’s M-16 and M-4 rifles to confuse the American public.

Biden proposes that all 18 million-plus modern sporting rifles in circulation would be registered in the same onerous manner as automatic firearms and regulated under the 1934 Gun Control Act. That would require current owners to register these rifles with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), pay a $200 tax, submit fingerprints, photos, and complete duplicitous background checks for firearms they already passed a background check to purchase. They would also be subjected to random and unannounced ATF inspection of their firearm and would be registered in a federal watchlist of firearm owners. Trump: U.S. Troops ‘Should’ Be Out of Afghanistan by Christmas

President Donald Trump on Wednesday teased a complete withdrawal of U.S troops from Afghanistan by Christmas, an aggressive timeline to fulfill a campaign promise to end what he has called America’s “endless wars” that comes as the president trails in polls less than a month to go before the election.

“We should have the small remaining number of our BRAVE Men and Women serving in Afghanistan home by Christmas!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

It was unclear whether Trump’s tweet amounted to an announcement or another of many policy suggestions he has handed down over the social media platform throughout his time in office.

VP DEBATE: Pence Rips Harris for Her ‘Unconscionable’ Undermining of the COVID Vaccine; It Looks as Though Kamala’s ‘Progressive Prosecutor’ Past Is Now a Liability; Kamala Harris Ducks Pence’s Questions

By Townhall. As the leader of the White House coronavirus task force, Vice President Mike Pence has been on the receiving end of the criticism over the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) tore into the vice president for what she termed “the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country.” In fact, she asserted that the Trump White House “has forfeited their right to re-election” because of it. . .

Pence was ready with several counterpunches. If Biden had been in charge and not President Trump, Pence argued, we would still be allowing travel from China, and the outbreak would have been much deadlier. Before he flip flopped on the issue, Biden called Trump’s travel ban “xenophobic.”

The president’s decision to ban those flights, Pence said, “bought us invaluable time” and “saved hundreds of thousands of lives.” It gave them time to reinvent testing, deliver billions of supplies to health care workers, and start developing a vaccine under Operation Warp Speed. The VP said he believes they will have tens of millions of doses before the end of this year. . .

Moderator Susan Page tried to switch gears and asked a different question of Pence, but he couldn’t let his opponent’s outrageous answer slide.

Pence told Harris how “unconscionable” it is that she keeps “undermining” the confidence in the eventual coronavirus vaccine.

It Looks as Though Kamala’s ‘Progressive Prosecutor’ Past Is Now a Liability

By Townhall. Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday slammed Sen. Kamala Harris’ (D-CA) record on criminal justice reform, both as a District Attorney in San Francisco and as Attorney General of California.

“But you talk about personally prosecuting. I’m glad you brought up your record, senator,” Pence said. . .

“I need to make this point: when you were DA in San Francisco, when you left office, African Americans were 19 times more likely to be prosecuted for minor drug offenses than whites and Hispanics,” the vice president explained. “When you were Attorney General of California, you increased the disproportionate incarceration of blacks in California. You did nothing on criminal justice reform in California.”

“You didn’t lift a finger to pass the FIRST STEP Act on Capitol Hill,” Pence said, as Harris smiled and shook her head. “The reality is your record speaks for itself. President Trump and I have fought for criminal justice reform. We’ve fought for educational choice and opportunities for African Americans … and we’ll do it for four more years.”

Vice Presidential Debate: Kamala Harris Ducks Pence’s Court-Packing Question

By Fox News. Vice President Mike Pence hammered Sen. Kamala Harris Wednesday night over whether Democrats would pack the Supreme Court should they not “get their way,” and should Judge Amy Coney Barrett be confirmed to the high court before Election Day.

During the vice presidential debate, Pence said that the “American people really deserve an answer” on court packing, after Democratic nominee Joe Biden ducked the question during the first presidential debate last week. . .

Pence revisited the question, saying that the “American people would really like to know, if she is confirmed, are you and Joe Biden, if somehow you win this election, going to pack the Supreme Court to get your way?” . . .

Harris fired back, mum on the issue of court packing, but saying that the “American people deserve to make the decision” of “who will serve for a lifetime.”

Harris Hits Trump Over Tax Returns, Asks President Who He Owes Money to

By Fox News. Democcratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris went after President Trump for not paying enough money in taxes, and questioned who he might owe money to.

“We now know because of great investigative journalism that Donald Trump paid $750 in taxes,” Harris said during Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate. “When I first heard about it, I literally said, ‘You mean $750,000?’ Nope $750.” . . .

“We now know Donald Trump owes, and is in debt for $400 million, and just so that everyone is clear, when we say in debt – it means you owe money to somebody,” Harris said Wednesday in answer to a question about presidential transparency.

Harris added: “And it’d be really good to know who the president of the United States, the commander-in-chief owes money to, because the American people have a right to know what is influencing the president’s decisions and is he making those decisions on the best interests of the American people….or self-interest?” . . .

Study Confirms What We Knew: Sexism Didn’t Sink Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

It has been the consensus among legacy media that ambitious women trying to move up in politics are faced with a sexist double standard by voters. This idea was one of the many that were blamed for Hillary Clinton’s loss in 2016. And yet, a new study concludes that voters don’t have much of a problem with ambitious women in politics.

The study, conducted by Harvard lecturer Sparsha Saha and University of Bath professor Ana Catalano Weeks, claims to be the first study that measures voter perception of the ambition of political candidates. The study finds that Republican and Democratic voters don’t punish female candidates who are “seen as tough or determined, pushing for broad policy changes, or juggling family and public life.”

“I think it really is very reassuring, and I hope that women themselves who are thinking about politics look at this and are hopeful,” Saha said of the results. Weeks noted that observational data suggests that “when women run for office, they win.”

The study is another nail in the coffin of the idea that Clinton was punished by voters for being an ambitious woman. She was simply a bad candidate, one who ran an awful campaign and lost to an equally unpopular candidate who ran a better one. Flynn Defense Team Moves to Disqualify and Remove Judge Sullivan From Trial

Former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s defense team filed a motion Wednesday to disqualify D.C. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan from his position in Flynn’s trials after his blatant demonstration of bias against Flynn beginning in December of 2018. . .

In court documents released Wednesday, Flynn’s lawyers allege that Sullivan “cast an intolerable cloud of partiality over his subsequent judicial conduct” and “risk[ed] undermining the public’s confidence in the judicial process” by exhibiting unethical judicial behavior.

“Here, there can be no question that this judge has created the appearance of bias that mandates his disqualification,” the motion says.

Flynn’s lawyers argue that Sullivan is litigating against Flynn despite his judicial position, and violating the impartiality he is sworn to protect.

“[A]ll that must be demonstrated to compel recusal,” then, is “a showing of an appearance of bias … sufficient to permit the average citizen reasonably to question a judge’s impartiality,” the motion states. Netflix Indicted in Texas Over Disturbing ‘Cuties’ Film

Netflix is now facing a criminal charge in the ongoing backlash over “Cuties,” a French film centered around a 11-year-old girl living in Paris who wants to join a local “free-spirited dance crew.”

A grand jury indictment for promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child was filed on Sept. 23 in Tyler County, Texas, according to Texas state Rep. Matt Schaefer, a Republican.NBC News obtained a copy of the indictment Tuesday, confirming Schaefer’s tweet.

The indictment states that Netflix promoted, distributed and exhibited material which “depicts the lewd exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age” for the “prurient interest in sex.” It also states that the material held no serious “literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.” . . .

Critics said the film and its promotional materials sexualized the young girls, equating it with child exploitation or child pornography.

Tulsi Gabbard Makes AOC and Ilhan Omar Go Silent After They Attack Her for Helping Expose Voter Fraud (VIDEO)

Hawaii Democrat Tulsi Gabbard might have been the last of the Democrats who had any sense of propriety and integrity, and while many would disagree with her politics, her ability to understand right and wrong can’t be overlooked.

For instance, as Democrats were doing their level best to ignore or more making excuses for the Project Veritas story that exposed the voter fraud helping Minnesota’s Ilhan Omar’s reelection, Gabbard was actually making statements denouncing the very obvious and provable fraud that was taking place right there, on video, for the world to see.

Upon the video’s release by Project Veritas, Gabbard released a statement that Project Veritas offered “further evidence” of a need to ban ballot harvesting. She has been at the forefront of ballot harvesting prevention and is pushing legislation to make sure that elections are protected from it. . .

AOC’s attack on Gabbard started after FOX9 (KMSP-TV) did an interview with the man at the center of the Project Veritas investigation, Liban Osman. Osman claimed that the Project Veritas video was fraudulent because it was edited to make it seem like he was collecting ballots from people and altering them himself. FOX9 called Project Veritas a misinformation organization and that they attempted to bribe Osman into saying they were committing fraudulent acts. . .

Gabbard wasn’t going to take it lying down and did indeed apologize for referencing the Project Veritas story but the apology didn’t come alone. She immediately put the ball back into the squad’s court.

WATCH: NBC News’ ‘Undecided’ Voters Previously Featured as Biden Supporters on MSNBC

NBC News featured a pair of “undecided” voters during a network town hall earlier this week who had previously declared their support for Democratic nominee Joe Biden on the network’s sister channel, MSNBC.

Lawyer Peter Gonzalez and marketing executive Ismael Llano posed questions to Biden during a town hall on Monday, when he appeared before what the network described as an “audience of undecided Florida voters.”

Both Gonzalez and Llano, however, were featured in an MSNBC segment in August to explain why they support Biden. “If we get four more years of Trump, good luck, and good luck with the future attracting younger voters,” Gonzalez said as an MSNBC chyron noted he was “voting for Biden.” Llano was also identified as “voting for Biden” and offered praise for the former vice president.

On Monday, NBC’s Lester Holt said that Llano “voted for Hillary Clinton four years ago but has voted Republican in the past.” Gonzalez, whose voting history went unmentioned, asked Biden to ease his family’s concerns that the Democrat is beholden to “the radical left.”

“Cuban American and Venezuelan voters here in South Florida are being targeted with messages by the Trump campaign claiming that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for the radical left and socialism, and even communism,” Gonzalez said. “What can you tell people in my family, my friends—who are understandably concerned with that issue—that would make them feel comfortable voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris?”
