School District Requests ‘Anti-Racist Audit’ to Help Students ‘Resist Systems of Oppression’

Maryland’s Montgomery County Public Schools district is requesting a “systemwide anti-racist audit” to determine whether it is doing enough to help students “resist systems of oppression.”

According to a “request for proposal” document obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, the school district is looking for a consultant “with deep knowledge and expertise in … racial equity” to examine the school district’s culture, hiring practices, and pre-K-12 curriculum. The document requests that consultants investigate whether the district’s curriculum “strengthens students’ sense of racial, ethnic, and tribal identities, helps students understand and resist systems of oppression, and empower students to see themselves as change agents.” It also asks if the district is taking a sufficiently “proactive approach” to issues of implicit bias, even though the racial makeup of the district is majority minority.

Following the Black Lives Matter protests this summer, the school district said it would reevaluate its social studies curriculum to address systemic racism, “particularly for … younger students.” The school district already operates an “Equity Initiatives Unit,” which aims to counteract “bias … oppression, and inequity.” Marya Hay, a member of the unit, posted photos online of the “equity” training that staff undergo. One photo showed school district employees defining “whiteness” as “a systemic, racial, social construct backed by no scientific evidence, created to benefit white people by unequally distributing power and privilege through society’s norms, traditions, and institutions.” (Read more from “School District Requests ‘Anti-Racist Audit’ to Help Students ‘Resist Systems of Oppression’” HERE)

Mike Pompeo to Release Hillary Clinton’s State Department Emails

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday vowed to track down and release information regarding tens of thousands of emails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent and received over a private email server while in office, a day after President Donald Trump lambasted Pompeo for not having done so.

In an interview on Fox News, Pompeo laughed off Trump’s criticism from a day earlier, telling anchor Dana Perino that “we’ve got the emails, we’re getting them out.” He added: “We’ll get all of this information out so the American people can see it.”

Clinton’s private server has long been the target of conservatives, and Trump made it a central argument of his first presidential campaign, threatening to jail Clinton and reveling in chants of “lock her up” at campaign events. . .

Trump has focused heavily on Clinton in recent days, while also railing against the Justice Department following the news that U.S. Attorney John Durham would not be unveiling any indictments or disclosures about his probe into the origins of the Russia investigation ahead of Election Day. Twitter to Flag Tweets Claiming Early Victory After Election, Remove Posts Inciting Interference

Twitter said Friday it will flag posts on its platform that prematurely claim victory in the U.S. presidential race and will remove ones meant to incite people to interfere in the election process.

Less than a month before Election Day, Twitter followed Google and Facebook in becoming the latest major internet company to put new rules in place in anticipation of possible confusion or chaos.

“People on Twitter, including candidates for office, may not claim an election win before it is authoritatively called,” Twitter’s Vijaya Gadde and Kayvon Beykpour explained in a blog post.

“To determine the results of an election in the U.S., we require either an announcement from state election officials, or a public projection from at least two authoritative, national news outlets that make independent election calls,” they wrote.

Tweets that include early claims about the results of any contests taking place next month will be labeled as premature and refer user to the company’s official page for the elections, they added. GOP Senator Warns: Election Could Be ‘Bloodbath’

Sen. Ted Cruz believes whether the 2020 election is a “bloodbath” or a triumph for the GOP all depends on whether voters are optimistic in November.

The Texas Republican warned that if “on Election Day, people are angry, they’ve given up hope and they’re depressed, which is what Pelosi and Schumer want them to be,” there could be “a bloodbath of Watergate proportions,” which would entail losing the White House and both houses of Congress.

But “if people are optimistic, they are going back to work, they have a positive future, we could see a fantastic election,” Cruz said, which would mean President Trump getting reelected by a “big margin” and Republicans winning both houses of Congress.

“I don’t recall an election in my lifetime where the delta, the spread between those two, was as dramatic as it is,” he told CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

Cruz placed blame on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for holding up a long-awaited round of coronavirus relief. (Read more from “GOP Senator Warns: Election Could Be ‘Bloodbath'” HERE)

Mother of Kyle Rittenhouse Lashes Out at Joe Biden

. . .[Rittenhouse’s criminal attorney John] Pierce told Fox News before the hearing that he was “extremely concerned” for Rittenhouse’s safety in light of threats “that have been made to him, to his family, to his lawyers.”

“Adding to that concern is the fact that a former vice president of the United States and a sitting United States senator who are running for president in what is arguably the most heated presidential election, perhaps in American history … has now chosen to use him as a political pawn to suggest falsely that he is a white supremacist,” Pierce added. “And to suggest falsely that he is one of the people that is responsible for the arson, looting and insurrection in Kenosha and Portland.”

Pierce was referring to a video shared last month by Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden that appears to suggest the teenager is a White supremacist.

Speaking exclusively to Fox News, Rittenhouse’s mother, Wendy Rittenhouse fumed as she recalled how she stumbled upon the video herself.

“I am angry. My son is not a white supremacist. He is not a racist. He is not in no militia,” she said. “Former Vice President Biden, how dare [he] use my son for a political ad for his campaign.” (Read more from “Mother of Kyle Rittenhouse Lashes Out at Joe Biden” HERE)

Yelp to Publicly Shame Businesses ‘Accused of Racist Behavior’

At a time when businesses face an unprecedented threat of race-riot looting, review website Yelp has announced it will introduce warning labels that tell the public if a business has been “accused of racist behavior.”

In a blog post, Yelp’s vice president of user operations said, “as the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism, we’ve seen in the last few months that there is a clear need to warn consumers about businesses associated with egregious, racially charged actions to help people make more informed spending decisions.”

Lists of businesses and organizations accused of racism and bigotry are not new, but they are dangerous. The far-left Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of “hate groups,” regularly used to smear and defame mainstream conservatives, was used by a left-wing domestic terrorist to identify a target, the Family Research Council.

The attempted mass shooting, by now-convicted domestic terrorist Floyd Lee Corkins, was stopped by a security guard at the FRC offices, who tackled Corkins and disarmed him, suffering a shattered arm in the process as the extremist opened fire.

50,000 Received Incorrect Absentee Ballots in Ohio County

Nearly 50,000 voters received incorrect absentee ballots in the county that is home to Ohio’s capital and largest city, elections officials said Friday as they promised corrected ballots would be mailed within 72 hours.

With about 240,000 ballots mailed, that meant one in five voters received a wrong ballot. The error happened Saturday afternoon when someone changed a setting on a machine that places absentee ballots into mailing envelopes, Franklin County elections officials said Thursday.

Some ballots had an incorrect congressional race, while others had the correct information but were sent to voters in a different precinct. The Franklin County Elections Board said 49,669 voters received incorrect ballots out of 237,498 that were mailed.

That represents 6% of Franklin County’s approximately 880,000 registered voters, and 0.6% of the 8 million voters registered statewide in the presidential battleground. (Read more from “50,000 Received Incorrect Absentee Ballots in Ohio County” HERE)

Donald Trump to Iran: ‘If You F**k Around with Us’ We Will Respond 1,000 Fold

President Donald Trump warned Iran against funding terrorism against Americans, dropping the f-bomb in a “radio rally” with talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh on Friday.

“They know if they do anything against us, they will pay 1,000 fold,” Trump said, adding, “They’ve been put on notice: If you f**k around with us, if you do something bad to us, we are going to do things to you that have never been done before.”

The audio was censored before it went to radio stations across the country, but it was caught on the live “Dittocam” of Limbaugh for his subscribers. . .

Donald Trump Calls for AG Barr to Indict Joe Biden With Just Weeks Until Election; Trump: ‘Where Are All of the Arrests?’

By Newsweek. With less than one month until the election, President Donald Trump is calling for his attorney general to indict his challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, for the “greatest political crime in the history of our country.”

Russia has plagued the Trump administration since he took office and accusations he colluded with one of America’s top adversaries to win the election called the validity of his victory into question. Democrats and Republicans both use a report from special counsel Robert Mueller to fuel their arguments in favor or against Trump, but recently declassified documents prove the improper behavior falls on Biden and former President Barack Obama, Trump claimed.

On Thursday, Trump told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo that Biden and Obama “spited’ his campaign and urged Attorney General Bill Barr to indict them because “we got plenty, you don’t need any more.” Without an indictment, Trump said, “we’ll get little satisfaction,” and he “won’t forget it.” (Read more from “Donald Trump Calls for AG Barr to Indict Joe Biden With Just Weeks Until Election” HERE)

‘Where Are All of the Arrests?’: Trump Demands Barr Lock up His Foes

By Politico. Donald Trump mounted an overnight Twitter blitz demanding to jail his political enemies and call out allies he says are failing to arrest his rivals swiftly enough.

Trump twice amplified supporters’ criticisms of Attorney General William Barr, including one featuring a meme calling on him to “arrest somebody!” He wondered aloud why his rivals, like President Barack Obama, Democratic nominee Joe Biden and former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton hadn’t been imprisoned for launching a “coup” against his administration.

“Where are all of the arrests?” Trump said, after several dozen tweets on the subject over the past 24 hours. “Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? Long term sentences would have started two years ago. Shameful!” . . .

“DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, THE BIGGEST OF ALL POLITICAL SCANDALS (IN HISTORY)!!! BIDEN, OBAMA AND CROOKED HILLARY LED THIS TREASONOUS PLOT!!! BIDEN SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN – GOT CAUGHT!!!” Trump tweeted. (Read more from “‘Where Are All of the Arrests?’: Trump Demands Barr Lock up His Foes” HERE)

China Censors Mike Pence During VP Debate Broadcast

China’s censors cut off Vice President Mike Pence mid-sentence during the debate with Sen. Kamala Harris when he called out the Chinese Communist Party for its mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic.

As Pence Wednesday night began to criticize Beijing’s response, saying “China is to blame,” CNN’s feed in China suddenly cut out and the words “no signal – please stand by” appeared over a test pattern. . .

Nathan VanderKlippe, the Globe and Mail’s Beijing reporter, noted the communist-run government’s heavy-handed response to the criticism.

“What it looks like when China censors a vice-presidential debate after a question about China is asked – and then lifts the blackout when conversation appears set to move on,” he posted on Twitter. (Read more from “China Censors Mike Pence During VP Debate Broadcast” HERE)
