Radical Leftist Attack on Gas Lines in Colorado Leaves Thousands Without Heat

The FBI is now investigating what the police are calling an “intentional attack” on the gas service lines in and around Aspen, Colorado.

According to ABC, coordinated attacks involved three separate Black Hills Energy gas line sites, one in Aspen and two elsewhere in Pitkin County on Saturday. According to Assistant Police Chief Bill Linn, the saboteurs had some knowledge to understand what they were doing, they “tampered with the flow lines. They turned off the gas lines.”

Police found the words “Earth First” written in black marker on the pipes at one of the sites. A second reference to a radical environmental group was found at another disrupted natural gas pumping site near Aspen, the police said. The sites had security measures that the saboteurs overcame. There were some footprints found, but there were no cameras at the sites. Looks like that was a critical thing to overlook with the crazies we now have on the left.

What that meant for the area was not good. That left thousands of residents and businesses without heat as the temperatures dropped to near zero degrees.

U.S. Doctor Wipes Away Cancer Patients’ Bills Totaling $650,000 (VIDEO)

A doctor in Pine Bluff is forgiving debt for nearly 200 of his patients with cancer.

Dr. Omar Atiq is an oncologist who founded the Arkansas Cancer Institute in Pine Bluff in 1991.

On Monday, his clinic sent out a holiday greeting to patients that read, “I hope this note finds you well. The Arkansas Cancer Clinic was proud to serve you as a patient. Although various health insurances pay most of the bills for majority of patients, even the deductibles and co-pays can be burdensome. Unfortunately, that is the way our health care system currently works. Arkansas Cancer Clinic is closing its practice after over 29 years of dedicated service to the community. The clinic has decided to forego all balances owed to the clinic by its patients. Happy Holidays.” . . .

Atiq has treated thousands as an oncologist in the Pine Bluff community over the decades but this holiday gift was a first.

Trump Extends Order Halting Visas to Prioritize Americans for U.S. Jobs

President Trump has extended an executive order to prioritize unemployed Americans for jobs in the United States rather than allowing businesses to import foreign visa workers.

In June 2020, Trump signed an executive order halting H-1B visas, H-4 visas, H-2B visas, L visas, and J-1 visas while tens of millions of Americans were jobless or underemployed due to economic lockdowns as a result of the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

The order was set to expire at the end of 2020, but Trump intervened to extend the order to continue prioritizing U.S. jobs for unemployed Americans instead of allowing businesses to import foreign visa workers in a struggling labor market.

The extension of the order reads:

The effects of COVID-19 on the United States labor market and on the health of American communities is a matter of ongoing national concern. The current number of new daily cases worldwide reported by the World Health Organization, for example, is higher than the comparable number present during June, and while therapeutics and vaccines are recently available for an increasing number of Americans, their effect on the labor market and community health has not yet been fully realized.

2020’s Big Winners: Billionaires, Silicon Valley Tech Lords, and Communist China

The coronavirus pandemic took nearly two million lives worldwide and caused unprecedented economic devastation this year, but 2020 had at least three big winners who came out stronger in spite of – or perhaps because of – the pandemic: the world’s billionaires, Silicon Valley’s tech lords, and communist China, where the virus originated. . .

China’s communist regime is sounding increasingly triumphalist in the wake of the economic destruction wreaked by the pandemic that originated in Wuhan and could have been prevented by Beijing. China’s communist dictator Xi Jinping boasted in his New Year’s Eve address that China is “the first major economy worldwide to achieve positive growth” in 2020, while the rest of the world’s economy shrank. . .

Never was the old cliché that “the rich get richer” truer than in 2020. The wealth of the world’s super-rich broke new records this year, according to a report conducted by PwC and the Swiss bank UBC. The combined wealth of the world’s over 6,000 billionaires grew to $10.2 trillion in July, blowing past the previous record of $8.9 trillion in 2017. And the number of new billionaires also grew from 2,158 in 2017 to 2,189 in 2020. All of this happened at the height of the pandemic between April and July 2020, as average people the world over were hit by economic devastation, but the world’s billionaires increased their wealth by over a quarter to 27.5 percent, the Guardian reports.

In 2020, America’s 614 billionaires increased their collective net worth by $931 billion, even as tens of millions of Americans lost their jobs. Between just March and May alone, the net wealth of these American billionaires increased by 15 percent, as over 36 million Americans were joblessness due to the pandemic. In contrast, the U.S. poverty rate rose to 11.7 percent in November, a jump of 2.4 percent since June, marking the highest single year increase since the government began tracking poverty 60 years ago. . .

Of all the monopolistic billionaires blessed by the pandemic, perhaps none have come out as victorious as the tech lords of Silicon Valley. Not only did they increase their massive wealth and monopoly power during the pandemic, they also helped get their preferred candidate elected to the White House. Drug Reportedly Reverses Age-Related Mental Decline in Mice Within Days of First Dose; Scientists Find Root Cause of Alzheimer’s Disease

By The Hill. An experimental drug reversed age-related declines in memory and mental flexibility in old mice after just a few doses, according to a study by researchers from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

The drug, ISRIB, has previously been shown in other studies to restore normal cognitive function in mice after traumatic brain injury, enhance memory in healthy mice and mice with Down syndrome, as well as prevent noise-related hearing loss.

The experimental drug works by interfering with the body’s Integrated Stress Response (ISR). The ISR slows down protein production in cells if something is wrong, such as a viral infection or injury, to give the cells time to heal. But as both memory and learning depend on active protein production, the ISR can lead to problems if it remains in the “on position” in the brain. . .

For the recent study published this month in the journal eLife, researchers trained older mice to escape from a watery maze by finding a hidden platform, a task researchers said is typically more difficult for older mice to learn. But the study found mice that received small doses of ISRIB over a three-day training process were able to complete the task as well as younger mice and much better than mice of the same age who weren’t given the drug.

“ISRIB’s extremely rapid effects show for the first time that a significant component of age-related cognitive losses may be caused by a kind of reversible physiological ‘blockage’ rather than more permanent degradation,” Susanna Rosi, UCSF professor in the departments of Neurological Surgery and of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, said. Scientists Find Root Cause of Alzheimer’s Disease

By Knowridge Science Report. In a new study, researchers have discovered a new mechanism by which clumps of tau protein are created in the brain, killing brain cells and causing Alzheimer’s disease.

A specific mutation to an enzyme called MARK4 changed the properties of tau, usually an important part of the skeletal structure of cells, making it more likely to aggregate and more insoluble. . .

Alzheimer’s is said to be caused by the build-up of tangled clumps of a protein called “tau” in brain cells.

CNN Sucked up to Communist China and Russia to Own Trump, and the Lies Backfired

CNN celebrated the triumphant successes of the United States’s largest adversaries evidently controlling the pandemic virus, relying on self-reported data from the oppressive regimes in the early days of the pandemic.

In March, CNN opened a report on the Kremlin’s coronavirus response, lauding the Russian president’s accomplishments in keeping the nation safe. . .

On testing, the network praised Russia and admonished American progress. “According to CDC figures, the United States only picked up the pace in testing at the beginning of March, while Russia says it has been testing en masse since early February.” . . .

Several months later, Russian officials have now admitted on Monday that the nation’s death toll is, in reality, three times higher than previously claimed, with more than 186,000 Russians having succumbed to the Wuhan virus. More than 3 million Russians have been infected, giving Russia the fourth-highest caseload in the world, according to the Guardian.

Airport Explosion in Yemen Kills 25 People and Wounds 100

Multiple people were killed and many more injured during a devastating blast at an airport in Yemen on Wednesday.

At least 25 were killed and 110 wounded shortly after a plane arrived carrying the newly formed, Saudi-backed Yemeni government, according to the Associated Press. Yemen’s government claimed four ballistic missiles were shot at Aden airport by Iran-backed Houthi rebels. . .

Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed claimed and the Associated Press reported that members of the government were left unscathed, but Aden al-Ghad, a local news outlet, has, according to NPR, reported that at least one junior official was killed in the explosion and several other officials were wounded. NPR added no one has claimed responsibility for the blast.

“Of course, when we heard the first explosion, we tried to understand what was happening, we were confused about whether it was an explosive or a drone or a rocket,” said a journalist and researcher for the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies. He believes that the explosion was likely the result of a missile attack. “Most of us were terrified and confused because we didn’t know what was happening or where the threat was coming from. Restaurants Find Creative Ways to Survive Amid Restrictions

It’s been two weeks since Gov. Tom Wolf banned indoor dining and alcohol sales at restaurants statewide amid an alarming spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

And for many owners, abiding by the rules – devastating as they may be – remains a top priority, even if it challenges everything they know about running a successful business. . .

Elliot Alaya and her husband opened Home 231 in Harrisburg nine years ago. Revival Social Club in downtown York followed in 2017. The couple employs about 20 workers between the two locations and said keeping their staff paid required some creative thinking. . .

From Taco Tuesdays to virtual happy hours to online wine dinners, Elliot Alaya said adapting to the circumstances and keeping customers engaged has helped her restaurants weather multiple shut downs.

Worker Caught Deliberately Destroying COVID Vaccines

A worker at a Wisconsin medical facility was fired for deliberately destroying over 500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, a report said.

Aurora Medical Center said in a statement obtained by Fox6 that the worker at their Grafton location admitted Wednesday to intentionally removing 57 vials of Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine from a pharmacy refrigerator on Saturday.

“We are more than disappointed that this individual’s actions will result in a delay of more than 500 people receiving their vaccine,” the company said in its statement.

Most West Point Cadets in Cheating Scandal Are Athletes

The majority of cadets caught cheating on a math test at the West Point military academy are athletes — including two dozen members of the Army football team playing West Virginia in Thursday’s Liberty Bowl.

Of the 24 Army Black Knights embroiled in the scandal, 17 remained in uniform as of Wednesday — and a few have already played in games this season, USA Today reported.

They remain on the team because West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams suspended the school’s policy of barring cadets who violate the academy’s honor code from representing the school in public.
