Pope Francis Struggles to Stand While Addressing Vatican Tribunal

Pope Francis apologized to his faithful flock after his sciatica forced him to remain seated while addressing a Vatican City Catholic Church tribunal.

The 84-year-old Argentinian has been forced to cancel a number of recent events due to the nerve pain condition.

“I would like to speak to you standing up but sciatica is a troublesome guest,” the pontiff told members of the Roman Rota on Friday, according to Agence France-Presse.

“So I apologize and will speak sitting down,” he told members of the tribunal as he marked the start of the Holy See’s judicial year.

Francis skipped New Year’s Masses at St. Peter’s Basilica and two Masses earlier in the week due to a bout with the chronic condition that causes pain in his hip. (Read more from “Pope Francis Struggles to Stand While Addressing Vatican Tribunal” HERE)

Democrats Plan to Ignore GOP in Pursuit of Stimulus

President Joe Biden’s administration and Democrats in Congress have vowed to press forward with the president’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package amid Republican objections to the bill’s size, even if they do so without any GOP votes.

Biden has argued that the relief package is not only popular among a majority of Americans but is also necessary to combat the economic toll imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. Though Biden campaigned on a message of unity and bipartisanship, his administration rejected a Republican pitch to split the plan into smaller pieces and has said that it must move quickly to pass the package even if it means doing so without Republicans’ help.

“The very health of our nation is at stake,” Biden said on Jan. 14 when he first introduced his recovery plan. “[It] does not come cheaply, but failure to do so will cost us dearly.”

Biden’s administration has also argued that the package is necessary to beat the pandemic, touting its provisions for vaccine distribution, the reopening of schools and direct relief to American families and small businesses. . .

But as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly lay the foundations to pass Biden’s bill, some Republicans are optimistic that Biden will change course and revert to his earlier calls for a bipartisan plan. Pelosi’s ‘Incitement’ Claim Against Trump Falling Apart

Legal analysts have called what the U.S. House did to President Trump earlier this month a “snap impeachment.”

The article of impeachment submitted by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., accuses him of inciting insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in Jan. 6 through his rally speech. The president’s defenders argue the Capitol had been breached even before Trump finished his speech one mile away, and he never called for violence, urging supporters instead to make their voices heard “peacefully.”

And now further evidence has emerged that the Capitol riot was planned long in advance of Jan. 6.

The Justice Department has charged three people who are believed to have been communicating with each other as early as November.

Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz told Just the News that if Trump “didn’t know about it, they had planned it without him, then you’re missing the causal relationship.” (Read more rom “Pelosi’s ‘Incitement’ Claim Against Trump Falling Apart” HERE)

Report: Facebook Preparing Antitrust Lawsuit Against Apple

A recent report from the Information claims that tech giant Facebook plans to take on rival Apple in an antitrust lawsuit related to its iOS 14 privacy features. A lawsuit would be a dramatic escalation to the war of words between the Masters of the Universe over user privacy.

A recent report from the Information alleges that Facebook is planning to take fellow tech giant Apple to court over allegations of antitrust relating to Apple’s iOS 14 privacy features. Facebook has reportedly been working with outside legal counsel to prepare an antitrust lawsuit against Apple that claims the iPhone manufacturer “abused its power in the smartphone market by forcing app developers to abide by App Store rules that Apple’s own apps don’t have to follow.”

The report explains that Facebook’s lawsuit is likely to focus on the changes Apple introduced in iOS 14 which include the App Tracking Transparency feature, which will launch within the next few months and require users to permit apps to track their data.

The Information writes:

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is attempting to build a broad legal case arguing that Apple’s rules for app developers—which force them to use Apple’s in-app payment service, for instance—make it harder to compete against Apple in areas such as gaming, messaging and shopping

Black Lives Matter Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

The Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize by Petter Eide, a Norwegian member of Parliament, who represents the Socialist Left Party.

“I find that one of the key challenges we have seen in America, but also in Europe and Asia, is the kind of increasing conflict based on inequality,” Eide said, as reported by The Guardian. “Black Lives Matter has become a very important worldwide movement to fight racial injustice. They have had a tremendous achievement in raising global awareness and consciousness about racial injustice.”

“They have been able to mobilize people from all groups of society, not just African-Americans, not just oppressed people, it has been a broad movement, in a way which has been different from their predecessors,” Eide stated.

The Black Lives Matter movement spread to more than 2,000 cities in over 60 countries, according to the New York Times. (Read more from “Black Lives Matter Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize” HERE)

Twitter Locks Focus on the Family Page Over ‘Hateful’ Content

The president of Focus on the Family said Twitter locked the page of the Daily Citizen — an arm of the large, well-known Christian organization — for posting “hateful” content.

FOF President Jim Daly wrote in his Wednesday blog that the issue was a Jan. 19 tweet — now “no longer available” — discussing Dr. Rachel Levine, President Joe Biden’s nominee for assistant secretary of health at the Department of Health and Human Services.

He said the tweet in question included the following sentence: “Dr. Levine is a transgender woman, that is, a man who believes he is a woman.”

“It seems, according to Twitter, simply acknowledging biological fact is now ‘hateful,'” Daly wrote.

The tweet also linked to a Daily Citizen article, “Biden to Nominate Controversial Transgender Doctor for Assistant Health and Human Services Secretary.” (Seems the powers that be aren’t able to get stories taken down from websites — yet.) Even the New York Times Is Telling President Biden to Stop With His Executive Orders; Experts Say Biden Actions Are Already Killing Jobs; Biden Pledged to Seek ‘Consensus.’ That Was a Lie.

By The Blaze. It turns out that it’s not just the right in America that is concerned about President Joe Biden’s raft of executive actions since he was sworn in just eight days ago.

Now even the editorial board of the New York Times is begging him to “ease up.”

In just his first week as president, Biden signed 37 executive actions, including a record-breaking 24 executive orders — despite having said during the 2020 campaign that dictators rule by executive order.

Despite that fact that the Times agrees with Biden’s left-wing progressive agenda, the paper published an editorial Wednesday calling on the president to go though the proper channels — meaning legislation passed by Congress.

The editorial, “Ease Up on the Executive Actions, Joe,” praised the president for working to overturn the work of former President Donald Trump, but said executive orders were not the way to do it. Experts Say Biden’s Week One Climate Actions Are Already Killing Jobs

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden has put climate policy at the forefront of his administration’s agenda, but climate policy experts Thursday warned his decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline and rejoin the Paris Climate Accord could eliminate thousands of jobs.

“Joe Biden, through his wrong-headed climate policy, has unleashed a job destruction pandemic on the American people, Heartland Institute president James Taylor told reporters in a press conference Thursday. “This job destruction pandemic is deliberate, intentional and devastating to the American people.”

In just the first week of his presidency, Biden has signaled his commitment to a progressive climate agenda. The president signed executive orders rejoining the Paris Climate Accord, revoking the cross-border permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and temporarily suspending fossil fuel leasing permits on federal lands. Biden Pledged to Seek ‘Consensus.’ Then He Signed 25 Executive Orders in His First Week

By Daily Caller. Just a mere four months ago, then presidential candidate Joe Biden pledged to seek a “consensus” in order to get things done. One week into his presidency, Biden has signed 25 executive orders, 3 memorandums, and 2 proclamations.

Speaking at an ABC Town Hall in October, Biden said that there are some things you can’t get done through an executive order unless you were a “dictator.”

“I got to get the votes. That’s why – you know, the one thing that I– I have this strange notion. We are a democracy. Some of my Republican friends, and some of my Democratic friends even, occasionally say, ‘Well, if you can’t get the votes, by executive order you’re going to do something.’ (There are) things you can’t do by executive order, unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus.” . . .

While he may have been referring to a specific policy, Biden has nonetheless went forward with signing a record-breaking number of executive orders and memo’s in his first week in office despite making it clear that he believes a consensus should be met on issues before policy is enacted.

Former Presidents Donald Trump issued four executive orders in his first week, Obama issued five, and Bush signed no executive orders, according to WUSA9. (Read more from “Biden Pledged to Seek ‘Consensus.’ Then He Signed 25 Executive Orders in His First Week” HERE)

AOC Is Claiming Senator Cruz Tried to Have Her Killed

Maybe this is part of Democrat Joe Biden’s agenda for national “unity” after his victory in a November election that tens of millions of Americans still believe was not legitimate.

Or maybe not.

But there’s a furor growing over a claim by “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., that a Republican senator tried to have her killed. . .

Ocasio-Cortez had stated on Twitter: “I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying o get me killed.” (Read more from “AOC Is Claiming Senator Cruz Tried to Have Her Killed” HERE)

Army Chaplain Under Investigation for Saying Transgenders ‘Unqualified to Serve’

Officials are investigating a Texas Army chaplain after he suggested in a social media post that transgender soldiers were “mentally unfit” and “unqualified to serve.”

Maj. Andrew Calvert made the comments on a military newspaper’s Facebook page on Monday, the same day President Joe Biden signed an executive order lifting a ban on transgender people serving openly in the military, according to officials. He is a chaplain with the 3rd Security Force Assistance Brigade in Fort Hood.

“How is rejecting reality (biology) not evidence that a person is mentally unfit (ill), and thus making that person unqualified to serve? There is little difference in this than over those who believe and argue for a ‘flat earth,’ despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary,” Calvert wrote in the post on the Army Times’ Facebook page, according to screenshots.

“The motivation is different, but the argument is the same. This person is a MedBoard for Mental Wellness waiting to happen. What a waste of military resources and funding!”

Lawmakers Introducing Bill Protecting Children With Down Syndrome From Extermination

Members of Congress will be reintroducing a ban on abortion based on a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome on Friday, the same day as the virtual March for Life.

The legislation being introduced by Rep. Ron Estes, R-Kan., and Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., would permit relatives of aborted children killed based on a Down syndrome diagnosis to bring civil action against the abortion performers. The bill specifies that the mother of the child cannot be prosecuted.

Children with Down syndrome are being targeted and exterminated at alarming rates. In the United States, 67 percent of babies with a Down syndrome diagnosis are aborted. In European countries, it’s worse. A disturbing 98 percent of babies with this diagnosis are aborted in Denmark and nearly 100 percent in Iceland. . .

If passed, the upcoming bill, endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List, National Right to Life, and National Pro-Life Alliance, will help curtail the genocidal annihilation of some of the least powerful people among us.
