Since leaving office, the support for Donald Trump from his base is even stronger, a Politico reporter discovered after a trip outside the Beltway.

Evangelist Franklin Graham, a noted supporter of the former president, hopes Washington is paying attention.

“Here’s a Washington reporter who went to Wyoming and was surprised at the ‘huge disconnect between Washington and the rest of the country,'” Graham wrote on Facebook. “I think she is right. She shared the observation that former President Trump has actually gained—not lost—political clout since leaving office. When it comes to the impeachment, it does nothing for the American people, it only continues to fuel more disunity.

“I hope the leaders in Washington pay attention to this reporter, because the disconnect is there—it’s true all over the country, not just in Wyoming,” said Graham, the CEO and president of both Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

The reporter, Tara Palmeri, was at a rally last week led by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., against Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, who enraged her constituents by voting to impeach Trump. Cheney has been censured by a GOP committee in the state and already has a primary challenger for the 2022 election. Study Shows Very Little Transmission in School Without Masks, as Suicide Crisis Intensifies

Shutting down schools or forcing kids to wear masks – either one is likely the greatest crime ever committed against children under the most false pretenses imaginable. New research continues to show that schools are not drivers of spread, not to mention the fact that the virus is not dangerous to children. Meanwhile, children continue to commit suicide in record numbers. This is the evil cost of adult virtue-signaling.

A brand-new study of transmission in Norwegian primary schools from August through November published by the Norwegian Public Institute of Health showed minimal child-to-child and child-to-adult transmission. “This prospective study shows that transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from children under 14 years of age was minimal in primary schools in Oslo and Viken, the two Norwegian counties with the highest COVID-19 incidence and in which 35% of the Norwegian population resides,” concluded the researchers.

Despite systematic testing of all the 234 child contacts twice during quarantine of those children infected, just two primary cases and no secondary cases were identified. Also, among the 58 adult contacts of the infected children, just one primary case and no secondary cases were detected. All the children involved in the study were ages 5-13.

Here’s the kicker: While the reopening of the schools included measures such as “strengthened hygiene measures, physical distancing and a clear message to stay home if symptomatic, even with mild symptoms,” there was one major element missing. “Use of face masks is not recommended in schools in Norway,” according to this study. Alan Dershowitz Nominates Jared Kushner for Nobel Peace Prize

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz has nominated Jared Kushner, former Trump White House senior adviser and Trump son-in-law, to receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his role in “negotiating four normalization deals between Israel and Arab nations known as the ‘Abraham Accords.””

Dershowitz nominated Kushner and his deputy, Avi Berkowitz — who was the Middle East envoy — to receive the award on Sunday.

Dershowitz represented former President Donald Trump during his first impeachment trial in 2020 and was eligible to nominate Kushner and Berkowitz in his capacity as a professor emeritus of Harvard Law School. . .

House Democrats Seek to Include Amnesty for Illegal Aliens in COVID Bill

About 100 House Democrats are urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to include an amnesty for certain subgroups of illegal aliens in a relief package for Americans impacted by the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

The group of House Democrats, led by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, want to include an amnesty for at least five million illegal aliens who consider themselves “essential workers” and who are recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs. The letter states:

As you continue to work on assembling a COVID-19 reconciliation package and begin work on an economic recovery and jobs package, we urge you to include a pathway to citizenship for essential immigrant workers, Dreamers, and TPS holders, as well as their families, in order to ensure a robust recovery that is inclusive and equitable for all Americans regardless of their immigration status.

The amnesty would pack the United States labor market with millions of newly legalized illegal aliens who would be allowed to legally compete for jobs against 18 million unemployed Americans and another 6.2 million Americans who are underemployed. Lawmakers File Bill to Ban Biological Males From Competing in Women’s Sports

Lawmakers in Texas have introduced legislation to protect females from having to compete in sports against biological men.

The bill would preserve “single-sex” sports that reserve women sports for biological women.

The Texas Tribune reported on the development:

One bill filed by Rep. Valoree Swanson, R-Spring, is similar to others filed across the country that are characterized by conservative advocates as trying to maintain fairness in women’s sports. Idaho passed a law last year called the ‘Fairness in Women’s Sports Act.’ In Montana, a similar bill, called the ‘Save Women’s Sports Act,’ advanced to the state Senate this week.

According to a tally from the American Civil Liberties Union, nine other states have similar bills moving through the legislative process this year, including Mississippi, Connecticut and Tennessee. According to Equality Texas, more states are also filing bills this year that would apply these policies to colleges as well.
