House Minority Leader Announces Vote To Recall Liz Cheney From Leadership

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy announced Monday that Republican members should prepare for a recall vote Wednesday to oust Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney of Wyoming from leadership.

“Having heard from so many of you in recent days, it’s clear that we need to make a change,” McCarthy wrote in a letter to members. “As such, you should anticipate a vote on recalling the Conference Chair this Wednesday.”

Momentum grew to remove the Wyoming lawmaker from her number three role in House leadership after she survived her first referendum three months ago, then escalated her public feud with former President Donald Trump and continued to undermine the conference.

Since maintaining her chairmanship in February — provoked in large part by her futile crusade to recruit GOP members in support of Trump’s impeachment, in which nine took part — Cheney has smeared her own party as gripped with white supremacy and sought to engineer a GOP civil war non-existent outside Washington. Majority of Americans Oppose ‘White Privilege’ Training

A poll released Monday indicates U.S. voters overwhelmingly oppose critical race theory-related curricula in K-12 schools.

The survey, performed by the firm Competitive Edge Research and released by the educational research and advocacy group Parents Defending Education, notably found that 74 percent of respondents are “somewhat or strongly opposed” to white privilege training and to schools communicating minorities are inherently oppressed. A minute 6 percent were in favor of white privilege training.

“The results of this poll confirm that the campaign by extremists to transform our schools into political activist training camps is deeply unpopular among Republicans and Democrats alike, with only a narrow sliver of the farthest-left voters viewing ‘woke’ education favorably,” said Nicole Neily, president of Parents Defending Education. “This poll is a shot across the bow at those school districts, school boards, state legislatures, and governors who have either implemented ‘woke’ policies in schools or stood by while activists did so. Dividing our kids and communities based on skin color is abhorrent and has no place in America.” . . .

FDA Clears This COVID Vaccine for 12 to 15 Year-Olds; Healthy Teen Gets Blood Clots In Brain After Shot (VIDEO)

By Townhall. In an announcement made late Monday afternoon, the Food and Drug Administration announced it was including those aged 12 to 15 in the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine.

Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock called the expanded clearance “a significant step in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” adding Monday’s announcement is “bringing us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy and to ending the pandemic” and that “parents and guardians can rest assured that the agency undertook a rigorous and thorough review of all available data” in making their decision.

Healthy Teenager Gets Blood Clots In Brain After Shot

By WND. A mother in Utah is warning parents about the possible dangers of COVID-19 vaccines after her 17-year-old, basketball-playing son got a shot and developed three blood clots in and near his brain. . .

The mother is Cherie Romney of Draper, Utah.

Mainstream Media Cancels Golden Globes Due to Lack of ‘Diversity’

The group that organizes the annual Golden Globes awards was literally canceled by NBC over a campaign demanding more diversity among its voting members.

Critics claim that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has no black voting members and cite other accusations of racial and sexual discrimination against the organization.

NBC said in a statement Monday that the awards ceremony would not be aired in 2022 if the HFPA refused to take steps to address the controversy.

“We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform. However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right,” said a NBC spokesperson.

Ex-Intel Officials Silent Over Letter Claiming Russian Involvement in Hunter Biden Laptop Saga

The 50 former intelligence officials who signed a letter suggesting Russia was involved with the Hunter Biden laptop saga are now largely silent about why they weighed in on the story weeks before the 2020 presidential election.

Despite offering no proof, Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign, along with many in the media, dismissed the October laptop story as being part of a Russian disinformation operation. Concerns about Hunter Biden gained broader attention in late 2020 after multiple outlets reported that he is being federally investigated in connection with his taxes and potentially related to his overseas business with China and other countries.

The October letter, reportedly signed by 51 former intelligence officials plus nine anonymous ones, was even cited by now-President Biden in a presidential debate with former President Donald Trump.

Among those to sign their name to the letter were Obama CIA Director John Brennan, Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former George W. Bush CIA Director Michael Hayden, former Obama CIA Director Leon Panetta, and former Obama acting CIA Director Mike Morell, none of whom responded to the Washington Examiner’s questions. Glenn Gerstell, former National Security Agency general counsel, declined to comment. The vast majority of the other signatories did not provide on-the-record responses. Biden: People Able To Work Need To Get Off Unemployment

As business owners from coast to coast say they can’t find enough workers willing to come back to work, President Biden on Monday said he wants to make sure people offered a job either take it or lose the generous COVID-19 unemployment benefits.

“The law is clear: if you’re receiving unemployment benefits and you’re offered a suitable job, you can’t refuse that job and just keep getting the unemployment benefits,” Biden said at the White House.

“No one should be allowed to game the system and we will insist that the law is followed.”

‘Blatantly Unconstitutional’: 78 Members of Congress Go to Court Against Biden; Biden’s American Rescue Plan: The Most Expensive Missed Opportunity In U.S. History

By WND. Seventy-eight members of Congress have gone to court to say that President Biden’s “American Rescue Plan” is “blatantly unconstitutional” because it purports to control the decisions states make regarding their own taxes.

The friend-of-the-court brief was filed by the American Center for Law and Justice on behalf of the members of Congress in a case already pending that was brought by 13 attorneys general.

They sued Biden because of the demand, authored by the Schumer-Pelosi regime in Congress, that “prohibits states from lowering state taxes anytime between now and 2024.”

“In other words, throughout President Biden’s first term,” the ACLJ explained.

Biden’s American Rescue Plan: The Most Expensive Missed Opportunity In U.S. History

By Washington Times. . .Mr. Biden’s American Rescue Plan was the biggest $2 trillion missed opportunity in American history. Although the plan included some defensible components, such as the direct relief to American families, it perpetuated the idea that America is going to remain economically locked down until at least the fall.

Instead of seizing on the vaccine momentum and providing a shot in the arm to the labor market to accelerate the return to work, the plan continues to pay a significant fraction of jobless workers more to remain unemployed than to get back to work. Businesses operating on thin profit margins now have to compete with the artificial level of compensation set by government largesse but without the same capacity to borrow seemingly endless sums of money.

In addition, the redesigned child tax credit pays the same amount to parents without jobs as with jobs, making it more akin to a welfare program than its cousin, the earned income tax credit, which is one of America’s most successful pro-work, anti-poverty policies. The single largest item in Mr. Biden’s recently unveiled American Families Plan is, unfortunately, making these changes to the child tax credit permanent.

The other leg of Mr. Biden’s policy stool — the American Jobs Plan — similarly undermines the prospects for full, rapid labor market recovery by driving a stake through the corporate tax reforms from 2017 that resuscitated America’s economic competitiveness and by pushing aggressive union expansion that overrides worker freedom laws in 27 states.

There is a better way. It starts with recognizing that the most effective anti-poverty tool is a job, both for the paycheck it delivers, the purpose it provides and the example it sets for children at home watching their parents. Report: Bill Gates Known for ‘Womanizing,’ Naked Pool Parties

Behind his image as a straight-laced tech mogul, Bill Gates was notorious for throwing naked pool parties with strippers and being a “womanizer” — even after meeting future wife Melinda, according to a biography.

The Microsoft co-founder’s wild lifestyle was well known among his inner circle — but newspapers like the New York Times hid the unflattering reports to continue getting “spoon-fed stories,” James Wallace wrote in the 1997 biography, “Overdrive: Bill Gates and the Race to Control Cyberspace.”

They “didn’t report on the wild bachelor parties that Microsoft’s boyish chairman would throw in his Seattle home, for which Gates would visit one of Seattle’s all-nude nightclubs and hire dancers to come to his home and swim naked with his friends in his indoor pool,” Wallace wrote.

It was a continuation from his time at Harvard, where he “did like to frequent Boston’s notorious Combat Zone, with its porn shows, strip joints, and prostitutes,” Wallace wrote. . .

Terrorist Group Launches Rockets at Jerusalem on National Holiday (VIDEO)

The city of Jerusalem, Israel was attacked Monday by the militant Palestinian group Hamas on the day of Yom Yerushalayim — a holiday celebrating the reunification of Israel after the Six-Day War of 1967.

Hamas, a radical Islamist group, launched dozens of rockets from Gaza to Jerusalem and Central Israel. Footage shows children and parents scrambling as rocket sirens go off.

A fire started on the Temple Mount next to Al Aqsa Mosque. The mosque is in the same area as the Dome of the Rock — an ancient shrine in Old City.

A Palestinian Authority election was recently canceled in Israel. The election was scheduled for May 22 but PA President Mahmoud Abbas was likely to lose to Hamas and decided to blame Israel in the postponement decision. “We have decided to postpone the election until the participation of our people in Jerusalem is guaranteed,” Abbas said. The same day a troubling national jobs report showed businesses can’t hire workers partly because politicians have risked inflation to make everyone welfare recipients in the name of “COVID relief,” Wisconsin Democrats put out a video calling for people to “show us your stimmy shimmy.” After an outcry on Twitter, the Democrat account deleted the video, but another user saved it:

The video shows people dancing about getting a “stimmy,” or stimulus check, and having “$$$ in the bank” and “$$$ in the pocket.” “Thank you POTU$,” reads one caption.

Approximately 83 percent of American tax filers were sent the latest round of “stimulus” checks Congress approved after Joe Biden took office, including tens of millions who never lost jobs in the past year of rolling government lockdowns. Couples could earn as much as $160,000 per year and still get one of the deficit-funded checks that totaled up to $1,400 per person.

Nine million net jobs were lost due to COVID shutdowns, while so far 161 million Americans have gotten checks. In addition to repeatedly sending nearly everyone checks, Congress also boosted unemployment benefits so that many Americans can currently make more money not working than by going back to work.
