Senior Swiss Diplomat in Iran Found Dead After Fall From Building

The first secretary at the Swiss embassy in Tehran was found dead on Tuesday after falling from a high-rise building where she lived in the north of the city, a spokesman for emergency services was quoted as saying by Iranian news agencies.

The Swiss foreign ministry (FDFA) said an employee at its embassy in Iran had died of an accident, without identifying the victim. “The FDFA and its head Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis are shocked by the tragic death and express their deepest condolences to the family,” it said.

Iranian emergency services spokesman Mojtaba Khaledi said the diplomat’s body was found by a gardener after an employee who arrived at her apartment early on Tuesday noticed she was missing, the news agency Fars reported. By The Epoch Times. Chinese leader Xi Jinping personally directed the communist regime to focus its efforts to control the global internet, displacing the influential role of the United States, according to internal government documents recently obtained by The Epoch Times.

In a January 2017 speech, Xi said the “power to control the internet” had become the “new focal point of [China’s] national strategic contest,” and singled out the United States as a “rival force” standing in the way of the regime’s ambitions.

The ultimate goal was for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to control all content on the global internet, so the regime could wield what Xi described as “discourse power” over communications and discussions on the world stage.

Xi articulated a vision of “using technology to rule the internet” to achieve total control over every part of the online ecosystem—over applications, content, quality, capital, and manpower.

His remarks were made at the fourth leadership meeting of the regime’s top internet regulator, the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, in Beijing on Jan. 4, 2017, and detailed in internal documents issued by the Liaoning Provincial Government in China’s southeast. Blinken Says China Acting ‘More Aggressively Abroad’

By Reuters. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in an interview that aired on Sunday that China had recently acted “more aggressively abroad” and was behaving “increasingly in adversarial ways.”

Asked by CBS News’ “60 Minutes” if Washington was heading toward a military confrontation with Beijing, Blinken said: “It’s profoundly against the interests of both China and the United States to, to get to that point, or even to head in that direction.”

He added: “What we’ve witnessed over the last several years is China acting more repressively at home and more aggressively abroad. That is a fact.”

By Breitbart. Progressive pro-migration groups have pushed President Joe Biden to announce that he wants to dramatically raise the inflow of refugees up to 62,500 by October 1.

Biden’s decision reverses the April 16 announcement of a 15,000 goal for 2021 that was recommended by his advisers, who are concerned that Biden’s poll numbers will be further damaged amid the migration crisis. The 15,000 goal was bitterly denounced by Democrat-affiliated pro-migration groups, including the FWD.us group of investors created by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“I now determine, consistent with my Administration’s prior consultation with the Congress, that raising the number of admissions permissible for FY 2021 to 62,500 is justified by grave humanitarian concerns and is otherwise in the national interest,” Biden announced late Monday.

The high goal “sends the important message that the United States remains a safe harbor for some of the most vulnerable people in the world,” Biden’s statement said.

The decision will also help the government and pro-refugee groups boost the refugee inflow to 125,000 migrants next year. DHS Secretary Admits the Truth About Biden’s Border Crisis

By Townhall. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas finally admitted during an interview with CBS This Morning Monday that illegal border crossings have been “extraordinarily high.”

“In late March you are correct, the numbers were extraordinarily high and we had over 5,700 young children, unaccompanied children, in the custody of the Border Patrol,” Mayorkas said, adding that numbers for April 2021 will likely be high. “The numbers remain high. Whether they are as high as March remains undetermined.”

President Joe Biden said those who make under $400,000 per year “will not pay a single penny in taxes.”

The comment, made during a speech on Monday, is the 78-year-old’s latest blunder.

“The reason I’m going to do this is because I keep hearing on the press, ‘Biden is going to raise your taxes,'” he said. “Anybody making less than $400,00 a year will not pay a single penny in taxes, and we will not increase the deficit either, unlike the last gigantic tax cut, which increased the deficit by $2 trillion.”

More Lies Revealed: Chinese Military Collaborated With Lab Where COVID-19 Pandemic Originated

The Chinese regime has said its controversial virology institute had no relationship with the military, but the institute worked with military leaders on a government-sponsored project for almost a decade.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) participated in a project, sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)—a regime-funded scientific research institution—from 2012 to 2018. The project was comprised of a team of five military and civil experts, who conducted research at WIV labs, military labs, and other civil labs leading to “the discovery of animal pathogens [biological agents that causes disease] in wild animals.” . . .

In recent months, the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry and Shi Zhengli, the WIV virologist nicknamed “Bat Woman” for her research on coronaviruses of bat origin, denied there is a connection between the WIV and military, and said that no WIV researchers were infected with COVID-19.

However, according to an investigation conducted by the U.S. State Department, “several researchers inside the WIV became sick in autumn 2019, before the first identified case of the outbreak, with symptoms consistent with both COVID-19 and common seasonal illnesses.”

A school nurse in New Jersey said she has been suspended after refusing to wear her mask at work and suggesting that requiring children to wear masks all the time is doing more harm than good.

Erin Pein, who has been working at Stafford Township School District for the past three years, said in a YouTube video that the mask mandate is taking a toll on children’s mental and physical health during the pandemic.

“We see the kids who are having anxiety and having depression in kindergarten, in first, second grade,” Pein said, explaining that kids at that age don’t normally experience those problems. She said there was a girl in first grade who came to her and said she felt “something really bad was going to happen,” and that the “mask made her feel scared.”

“When she thinks about it, her stomach starts to hurt and she throws up,” Pein recalled. “She was sent to me because she threw up in class, and she told me, ‘I’m not sick,’ she said, ‘I’m just really nervous.’ To hear that from a first-grader is just heartbreaking.” . . .

“I didn’t think that voicing my concerns was going to make a difference, so I decided that I was going to do my own form of protest. … I let them know that I was no longer going to be wearing a mask at work,” Pein said, adding that she was suspended and “escorted out of the building” on the Monday she went to work without a mask. Report: Biden May Partner With Private Firms to Gather Online Data Without Warrants

The Biden administration is considering partnerships with private cybersecurity firms to gather and monitor online data, according to a report.

The The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is discussing a plan that would allow them to circumvent limits on intelligence gathering, CNN reported Monday. Federal agents are only allowed by federal law to scroll through public posts on social media and cannot use burner accounts to follow private accounts or enter private chat rooms. However, the reported DHS plan would enlist private cybersecurity firms to engage in those practices.

In the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Republicans and Democrats criticized security officials for intelligence failures that caused them to underestimate the number of people that would attempt to enter the Capitol. “There was a clear failure by the security leaders on Capitol Hill to prepare for Jan. 6,” Republican Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said in February. . .

Using private contractors to monitor social media sites would give DHS a work-around to warrant requirements. The government is required to obtain warrants before accessing private messages and social media accounts. However, in the new reported plan, the private contractors could tell the government officials what information they saw, thus avoiding the warrant application. Hillary Clinton ‘Thrilled’ Biden Is Using the COVID Pandemic to Push Big-Government Agenda

Hillary Clinton celebrated on Sunday President Joe Biden’s aggressive push to enact a progressive, big-government agenda, commending Biden for using the COVID-19 pandemic as the means to expand government in Americans’ lives. . .

Clinton told CNN host Fareed Zakaria that she is “thrilled” Biden is exploiting the vulnerability of Americans caused by the pandemic “to try to push the agenda as far as possible.”

In fact, Clinton packaged government action as something that Americans — including Republicans and independents — view positively, citing Biden’s job approval.

“It wasn’t until the pandemic that I think a truly working majority of Americans … suddenly understood in a clear way that, you know what, there’s lots of times when we need the government, and we’ve been exposed as lacking in the kind of investments and support that we, as Americans, should be providing each other with the government as our partner,” Clinton opined.

A mother’s parenting skills are being questioned after a TikTok video about her 6-year-old daughter’s gender identity went viral.

In the video, a mother — who, on TikTok, goes by “Smooches24” — can be heard asking her unnamed child questions about whether she is a boy or a girl.

The unnamed mother shared the video on TikTok and captioned it, “My six-year-old daughter asks me if I think she ‘looks like a boy.’ I asked her, ‘Do you wanna look like a boy?’ Her response left me speechless.”

The child’s response sadly did not actually leave the mother speechless, and instead, the mother begins to pepper the child with what appear to be leading questions about her perceived gender identity.
