Ugly: White Democratic Official Uses Racial Slur Against Tim Scott

The effectiveness of Sen. Tim Scott’s GOP response to President Biden’s speech last week has been made clear by the volume of left-wing vitriol it has provoked. As we mentioned in our post last week, a nasty slur trended on Twitter in the hours following Scott’s address, and multiple white celebrities took it upon themselves to lecture Scott for not thinking the way he’s “supposed to” as a Black man. Two of these white celebrities were “The View’s” Joy Behar, and Democratic spokesperson and part-time comedian Jimmy Kimmel:

. . .In addition to the social media venom from a mob of blue checkmarks and random users, a Democratic official in Texas is under fire for deploying a slur against Scott, suggesting that he’s black on the outside but white on the inside – an incredibly racist statement. This bigot is very white:

A Texas Democratic official is facing calls to step down from his role after he called Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., a racial slur. “I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles,” Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O’Connor wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, referring to Scott’s rebuttal to President Biden’s Congressional address on Wednesday…The first-term [GOP] congressman called on O’Connor to “apologize and step down immediately” for his racially charged comments slur and asked the Texas Democratic Party and the NAACP “to condemn these words.” Fallon also said the party “should take swift action to censure him.” The Texas Democratic Party didn’t immediately return Fox News’ request for comment.

Green Light Given to Extend 2020 Presidential Recount in Arizona

An audit of the 2020 presidential election results from Maricopa County, Arizona, which was one of multiple states where Joe Biden won by a narrow margin, resulting in objections from lawmakers based on evidence of fraud, is likely to be extended.

Originally the audit, being organized by Republicans in the state Senate, was to have concluded about May 14, as the process is being done at Veterans Memorial Coliseum and that facility has multiple graduation ceremonies booked starting on that date and for a few days following.

But now it has been revealed the process could continue after those events.

Ken Bennett, the former Arizona secretary of state who is liaison for the audit, said in a report in the Arizona Republic that the facility now has given permission to resume after those events, and for “as long as we need it” for the audit.

Democrats, who have sued to suppress the results, also say they may sue if the auditors go ahead with planned interviews with a selected number of voters, to complete the audit and gain evidence that voters are who they said they are. State Gives Tens of Thousands of Violent Inmates Early Release Eligibility

The state of California announced Saturday that it is providing 76,000 inmates with early release eligibility. More than 63,000 inmates are serving time for violent crimes, as reported by the Associated Press.

More than 63,000 inmates who are violent and repeat felons will have the opportunity to lessen their time served by one-third via a “good behavior credits” system. The initiative went into effect Saturday, but the AP notes that inmates will not walk free for months or years.

Of the eligible early release inmates, 20,000 are serving life sentences with the possibility of parole. Half of this number constitutes inmates previously convicted of “a second serious but nonviolent offense.”

The roughly 10,000 inmates in this category will have eligibility to be released early upon serving half their sentence, as established in the “three strikes law” in California. The 1994 law requires a felon convicted of a new felony to be sentenced to prison for double the amount of time. After two strikes, a defendant would have a mandatory sentencing of 25 years to life. Alan Dershowitz Slams FBI Raid on Rudy Giuliani’s Apartment

Attorney Alan Dershowitz on Sunday explained why he agreed to help Rudy Giuliani as the former mayor is investigated over his Ukraine dealings — slamming the US as a “banana republic” after the FBI raided Giuliani’s Manhattan home.

Dershowitz, a Harvard law professor who served on President Donald Trump’s impeachment legal team, said it was “inappropriate” for the federal agents to execute a search warrant at Giuliani’s Upper East Side apartment last week.

“In banana republics, in Castro‘s Cuba, in many parts of the world when a candidate loses for president, they go after the candidate, they go after his lawyers, they go after his friends,” Dershowitz told host John Catsimatidis on the “Cats Roundtable” podcast Sunday.

“That’s happening in America now. They’re going after Rudy Giuliani,” he continued, noting that Giuliani was the US attorney for the Southern District of New York in the 1980s. (Read more from “Alan Dershowitz Slams FBI Raid on Rudy Giuliani’s Apartment” HERE)

Dem Senator Says He Was Ready to ‘Stay and Fight’ During Capitol Riot

Sen. Joe Manchin said he was prepared to hold his ground and fight when a crowd of Trump supporters converged on the US Capitol on Jan. 6 as Congress voted to certify the 2020 election.

”My intention was to stay and fight: ‘Let ‘em in. Let’s go at it.’ But I didn’t know what was going on,” Manchin (D-W.Va.) told USA Today in an interview published Monday.

“You had a lot of people chanting. I didn’t think anything of that. But within 10 or 15 minutes, a SWAT team comes in with all of their gear and says ‘You guys are out of here. Just go now. Don’t even stop,’” the 6-foot-3 former football standout said.

Manchin, a moderate Democrat from the state former President Donald Trump won by nearly 40 points in the 2020 election, has found himself at a position of influence in the 50-50 divided Senate, armed with a vote that could advance or doom Democratic initiatives. Cuomo Refuses to Resign, Continues to Insist He Did Nothing Wrong

Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo insisted during a Monday press conference that he did nothing wrong in his handling of nursing homes during the coronavirus pandemic and would not resign from his position.

Cuomo said that the investigation into his handling of nursing homes “was a political investigation started by Donald Trump.” He insisted that the former president politicized nursing home policies during the pandemic and unfairly blamed Democratic governors for cases and deaths in nursing homes.

“It was all our fault,” Cuomo said. “And then had his political Department of Justice start an investigation. And they were a political Department of Justice, there’s no doubt about that.”

“I did nothing wrong … period,” the governor added. “And I’m not resigning and I’m doing my job every day.” (Read more from “Cuomo Refuses to Resign, Continues to Insist He Did Nothing Wrong” HERE)

Transgender Caitlyn Jenner Says Biological Males Shouldn’t Compete in Girls’ Sports

Caitlyn Jenner said Saturday that biological males should not be allowed to compete in girls’ sports because “it just isn’t fair.”

“This is a question of fairness. That’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls sports in school. It just isn’t fair, and we have to protect girls sports in our schools,” Jenner, who won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympic Games, explained to TMZ. . .

“I have gotten more flak for being a conservative Republican than I have for being trans,” Jenner told college students from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. (Read more from “Transgender Caitlyn Jenner Says Biological Males Shouldn’t Compete in Girls’ Sports” HERE)

Trump-Endorsed Candidate Leads Runoff Field in Texas Special Election

Texas Republican Susan Wright advanced in the 6th congressional district’s special election on Saturday. Wright is the frontrunner to fill the seat vacated by her late husband, former Congressman Ron Wright (R-TX), who died of coronavirus in 2020.

Candidates were required to obtain 50 percent or more of the vote in order to avoid a runoff election. Wright received 19 percent of the vote in the crowded, 23-person special election that will now head to a runoff. Democrats were shut out of the runoff as of Saturday night’s results, with Republican state legislator Jake Ellzey coming in second in the field. Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez, who also ran for the 6th district in 2018, was left in 3rd place and will not advance to the runoff; Democrats will not be able to flip the seat.

North Korea Sends Warning to U.S. After Biden’s Speech

North Korea promised the United States will face a “very grave situation” after President Joe Biden described the country as a threat before a joint session of Congress.

“His statement clearly reflects his intent to keep enforcing the hostile policy toward the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] as it had been done by the U.S. for over half a century,” said Kwon Jong Gun, a senior North Korean Foreign Ministry official.

In his speech, Biden referred to North Korea as a threat to national security — a line the senior adviser described as a “big blunder” and said would cause the U.S. to find itself “in a very grave situation.”

“It is certain that the U.S. chief executive made a big blunder in the light of the present-day viewpoint,” Kwon said, suggesting the North Korean administration would pressure the U.S. to reconsider their relationship. “Now that the keynote of the U.S. new DPRK policy has become clear, we will be compelled to press for corresponding measures, and with time the U.S. will find itself in a very grave situation.” (Read more from “North Korea Sends Warning to U.S. After Biden’s Speech” HERE)

Rancher Interrupted During Live Interview as Authorities Search for Migrants: ‘We’re Under Siege’ (VIDEO)

Fox News viewers witnessed first-hand how the migrant crisis is unfolding at the southern United States border on Thursday when a live interview was interrupted by authorities searching for migrants.

While explaining to Fox News host Dana Perino that “we’re under siege here,” south Texas rancher John Sewell was interrupted by immigration authorities searching for migrants on his property.

And that was after he already caught three migrants earlier in the day.

At the time of the interruption — in which K9s could be heard in the background — Sewell explained that Customs and Border Protection officials have not offered ranchers much assistance as migrants flood the U.S.-Mexico border.

“The basic thing we got from this yesterday, unfortunately, we’re not going to get a lot of support from the CBP. They basically said their hands are tied and the best thing for us is to work with our state reps, our Congress, so on and so forth, our local officials are all doing as much as they can,” Sewell said. “So, you know, it’s very unfortunate that we don’t have support from our CBP.” (Read more from “Rancher Interrupted During Live Interview as Authorities Search for Migrants: ‘We’re Under Siege'” HERE)
