House Republicans GO OFF, Revolt Over Pelosi’s New Mask Mandate (VIDEO)

Republican lawmakers on Wednesday protested against the House floor mask mandate being reinstituted the previous evening, with several members of the minority party refusing to wear a face covering and Texas Rep. Chip Roy using a legislative delay tactic to show discontent.

“I can’t execute my constitutional duty unless I wear a mask. Well, which is it? Vaccines or masks? The vaccines work or they don’t work. Do the masks work, or they don’t work?” Roy said in an impassioned speech on the House floor Wednesday referencing Dr. Anthony Fauci, a Biden administration COVID-19 point man. “I’d like to know which it is. I’d like Dr. Fauci to come down and answer a single question about natural immunity.”

Following updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance that recommends vaccinated people should wear masks in some situations, the Congress’s attending physician brought back the requirement that lawmakers wear masks on the House floor. Members who refuse risk fines being taken out of their congressional salaries because of a rule adopted in January, with $500 for a first offense of not wearing a mask and $2,500 for a second offense.

In a display of civil disobedience, a number of members opted to risk the fine and declined to wear a mask, even when offered one by a staff member walking around the floor who offered disposable masks and wrote on a notepad after interactions with those who refused.

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert reportedly threw a mask back at a staff member when asked to put one on. Other Republicans who declined to wear masks, in addition to Roy, included Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Andrew Clyde of Georgia, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Mary Miller of Illinois, and Burgess Owens of Utah.

Hilarious: Only Two People Cited by TSA for Mask Violations Have Agreed to Pay Fine

Only two people have agreed to pay fines to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) among more than 2,400 incidents of noncompliance since a federal mask mandate took effect this year, according to new data provided to The Hill.

TSA said it has received referrals concerning 2,413 incidents of possible noncompliance and has completed investigations into 1,793 incidents.

The agency issued more than 1,690 warning notices and referred 38 matters for civil penalties. Only two individuals did not challenge their fines of $250 each, TSA said in response to a Freedom of Information Act request.

The eye-opening figures come amid an uproar over the federal mask mandate for transportation that has been linked to numerous reports of scuffles and obnoxious behavior by airplane passengers.

“One explanation could be that the people who already violated it to start with are people who feel very strongly to begin with and don’t think the federal government could even mandate something like that. They do it partially as a protest, so it’s not surprising they haven’t paid the fine,” said Retsef Levi, professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management specializing in risk management and analytics. Pentagon Requires Masks Indoors Despite Vaccination Status

The US military has fallen in line with the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations about mask-wearing.

The Pentagon announced Wednesday that service members, civilian workers, contractors and visitors must wear masks indoors at military installations and other facilities “owned, leased or otherwise controlled” by the Defense Department in areas where COVID-19 transmission is “substantial” or “high.”

The memo from Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks also requires those who are not fully vaccinated to practice social distancing.

The Pentagon directive follows Tuesday’s CDC recommendation of indoor mask mandates in jurisdictions with at least 50 confirmed cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people over the previous seven days.

According to the CDC’s own data, approximately two-thirds of America’s counties are experiencing “substantial” or “high” levels of transmission. Nearly half of all US counties fall into the latter category, defined as at least 100 cases per 100,000 people over the past seven days. “Back in 2009, during the so-called Great Recession, the president asked me to be in charge of managing that piece, then-President Trump,” Biden told a Pennsylvania crowd. “Excuse me, Freudian slip, that was the last president. He caused the…anyway, President Obama when I was vice-president.”

Biden’s gaffe was immediately picked up on social media including by a Twitter account associated with the Republican National Committee.

Biden Raises Eyebrows With Claim He ‘Used to Drive’ 18-Wheeler Truck

By Fox News. Forty-eight-year political veteran President Biden raised eyebrows on Wednesday when he claimed to have driven an 18-wheeler truck — a claim the White House struggled to defend.

Biden was visiting a Mack Truck facility in Pennsylvania when he made the claim to have driven the massive trucks before, which require a special kind of license.

“I used to drive an 18-wheeler, man,” Biden said on Wednesday in a video posted to Twitter. “I got to.”

There is scant evidence that Biden has ever driven an 18-wheeler truck.

When asked if the president had ever driven such a truck, a White House spokesperson pointed to a December 1973 article from the Wilmington Evening Journal that showed Biden rode in an 18-wheeler on a 536-mile haul to Ohio. Border Town’s Police Department Make Shocking Discovery About COVID-Positive Illegal Aliens

The La Joya Police Department released a statement on Monday telling their border town residents about how they had discovered COVID-positive illegal immigrants were being released by U.S. immigration authorities as the town continues to grapple with the surge of illegal border crossings.

La Joya Police, whose town is located right on the Rio Grande, said they received a call from a resident complaining about how there was a family at a local Whataburger who appeared to be sick, coughing and sneezing, and were not wearing masks.

The officer discovered the family unit had recently crossed into the United States, had COVID-19, had been released by Border Patrol, and were staying at a local hotel with the help of a local charity:

“The Officer approached the family and was told by them that they had been apprehended by Border Patrol days prior and were released because they were sick with Covid-19. . .

“Officers also observed that a group of 20 to 30 people staying at the hotel were out and about the majority without face masks. It was also learned that people being detained by Border Patrol that showed symptoms of illness or were positive for Covid -19 were being quarantined by the agency and then later they were given custody to Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley to be placed in hotels in the McAllen area as well as La Joya.”

CDC Director Warns COVID ‘Just a Few Mutations’ Away From Rendering Vaccines Ineffective

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, claimed Tuesday that COVID-19 is “just a few mutations” away from rendering COVID vaccines completely ineffective. . .

Walensky was responding to a question about why vaccinated people should have to wear face masks to protect Americans who choose not to become vaccinated.

“Your point is well taken about those who have made the choice to not get vaccinated and the amount of virus that is circulating in this country right now,” Walensky began. “So for the amount of viruses circulating in this country, largely among unvaccinated people, the largest concern that I think we in public health and science are worried about is that virus and the potential mutations away we are from a very transmissible virus that has the potential to evade our vaccine, in terms of how it protects us from severe disease and death.

“Right now, fortunately, we are not there. These vaccines operate really well in protecting us about severe forms of severe disease and death,” she continued. “But the big concern is that the next variant that might emerge, just a few mutations potentially away, could potentially evade our vaccine.”

Trump Slams ‘Terrible’ Infrastructure Deal

Former President Donald Trump again panned the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package as a “terrible deal” Wednesday, shortly before the Senate voted to begin debate on the measure.

“Hard to believe our Senate Republicans are dealing with the Radical Left Democrats in making a so-called bipartisan bill on ‘infrastructure,’ with our negotiators headed up by SUPER RINO Mitt Romney,” raged the 45th president in an emailed statement. “This will be a victory for the Biden Administration and Democrats, and will be heavily used in the 2022 election. It is a loser for the USA, a terrible deal, and makes the Republicans look weak, foolish, and dumb. It shouldn’t be done.”

Approximately 90 minutes after Trump sent out his statement, the Senate voted 67-32 to end the filibuster on a motion to proceed to the measure. Seventeen Republicans joined all 50 Democrats in voting to begin debate.

Poll: President Biden’s Approval Rating Sinks To New Low

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has sunk to its lowest point since he gained office, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Wednesday.

The July poll, conducted among 1,500 likely voters, found that 46% of Americans approve of Biden’s job as president, while 52% disapprove. The poll further found that 26% said they “strongly approve” of Biden’s presidency so far, while 42% “strongly disapprove.”

The new poll comes barely a month after Biden’s approval rating first slipped below 50% in June, according to a Monmouth University poll.

Biden’s drop in approval appears to be due to a loss of confidence in his economy and an ongoing skepticism of his policies at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Surprise! Capitol Officer Complaining of Jan. 6 Riot Revealed as BLM Activist

Testimony from several Capitol police officers who appeared before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s one-sided committee reviewing violence at the building on Jan. 6 actually prompted several lawmakers to tear up. . .

Some of the comments were from Capitol officer Harry Dunn, who talked about his recollection of being called a racial epithet when he engaged in conversations “with rioters,” telling them he had voted for Joe Biden.

Dunn revealed he got no warning of any threats from his chain of command that day, even though President Trump had offered additional security, an offer declined by congressional leaders. . .

But after his appearance, a reported in the Gateway Pundit explains the likely reason Dunn was asked to testify in the hearing that has been described by analysts as a Democrat attempt to perpetuate the controversy over Jan. 6 since they have so few accomplishments on which to base any 2022 campaigns.

The report states, “SURPRISE! Officer Dunn Who Testified that Trump Supporters on Jan. 6 Were Chanting the ‘N-Word’ Is HUGE BLM Activist — Supported Mass Violence in Kenosha Riots.”

Seven months later, Democrats have wasted no opportunity to exploit the January crisis at the U.S. Capitol, gaslighting the public at every turn to brand the riot as the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War,” in President Joe Biden’s words. Among the latest to perpetuate the Democrat talking point was Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, who will offer opening remarks as one of two Republicans on the January 6 committee scheduled to commence this morning.

“Congress is obligated to conduct a full investigation of the most serious attack on our Capitol since 1814,” Cheney said when tapped for the committee by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Never mind the 1954 raid by Puerto Rican nationalists who shot five congressmen, the 1983 Senate bombing by left-wing militants granted clemency by Democrats, the al-Qaeda terrorists who flew a plane into the Pentagon on 9/11, or the summer of rage last year that frequently perpetuated political violence in the nation’s capital and repeated it across the country.

In fact, the carnage in the capital last summer excused, endorsed, and encouraged by Democrats and their allies in legacy media was far worse than the riot on January 6 by nearly every metric. More than 30 people died while dozens, if not hundreds, more livelihoods went with them when businesses were destroyed, and the dollar cost far exceeded, by 66 times, the already inflated estimate of the damage to the Capitol.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger Tears up at January 6th Commission Hearing

Kinzinger, one of two Republicans whom House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) hand-selected to serve on the commission, choked back tears as he commended the four United States Capitol Police officers who came to testify.

Debunked Claims Officer Sicknick Died From Capitol Riot Injuries Reemerge at Day One Hearing

By Washington Examiner. The evidence-free claim that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died from injuries suffered in the Jan. 6 riot reemerged Tuesday during the first day of hearings in the Democratic-led House select committee’s inquiry of the event.

Sicknick, 42, died the day after responding to the riot, which broke out as lawmakers counted electoral votes to affirm President Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump. In the days that followed, news outlets reported the 13-year veteran was beaten with a fire extinguisher, but the medical examiner concluded Sicknick suffered two strokes and that his death was from “natural” causes.

Still, committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, said in his opening remarks that “seven people lost their lives” in the riot. The number would appear to include Sicknick, two officers who died by suicide in the following days, a protester shot by police, two protesters who suffered fatal heart attacks, and another who died of a suspected drug overdose.

Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn also perpetuated the claim regarding Sicknick in his remarks. . .

The only person killed during the riot was Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran and Trump supporter who was shot by an as-yet unidentified Capitol Police officer as she attempted to climb through a broken window near the Speaker’s Lobby.
