Liberal Mayor Denies Violating Her Mask Mandate at Indoor Wedding, Photos Show Otherwise

Washington, D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser denied violating her new indoor mask mandate over the weekend despite photos showing her maskless at an indoor wedding reception.

As Townhall previously reported, Bowser officiated a wedding Saturday at a hotel in the Adams Morgan neighborhood that featured hundreds of maskless guests. Photographs showed the mayor maskless at a table while not actively eating or drinking, a violation of the new D.C. mask mandate that went into effect that morning. . .

However, following the wedding, Bowser’s office denied that the mayor violated the newly reinstated mask mandate and instead said that she was in compliance with the rule and wore a face covering while indoors.

“On Saturday, July 31st, Mayor Bowser officiated an outdoor, rooftop wedding ceremony, followed by an indoor dinner. Mexico Won’t Be ‘Hostage’ to Big Pharma, President Says; Country Rejects Jab for Children (VIDEO)

Social media users have theorized that President Andres Manuel López Obrador could face severe repercussions after he refused to purchase Covid vaccines for children, vowing that Mexico wouldn’t bow to pressure from drugs firms.

In remarks made earlier this week, the Mexican leader said his government was still waiting for the scientific community to demonstrate the benefits of vaccinating minors. Until conclusive evidence was provided, Mexico would refuse to purchase jabs for children, Obrador announced, adding that pharmaceutical firms seemed to be focused more on making profits than on ensuring medical necessity as they rake in record sales from Covid-19 vaccines.

He was similarly critical of plans by drugs companies to introduce third- or even fourth-dose booster shots, opining that the jabs could be “superfluous.”

Speaking on the same topic, Undersecretary for Health Hugo López-Gatell claimed there was “no scientific evidence” showing the jab was “essential” for minors, given the high rate of inoculation among the adult population, Excélsior, Mexico City’s second-oldest daily, reported.

Eerie: Fourth Police Officer Who Responded to Capitol Riot Dies of Suicide

A Washington, DC police officer who responded to the deadly riot at the US Capitol on Jan. 6 took his own life last month, making him the fourth law enforcement officer who took part in the events of that day to die by his own hand.

Officer Kyle DeFreytag helped enforce the curfew put in place after hundreds of supporters of then-President Donald Trump breached the Capitol building in an effort to disrupt the certification of the 2020 election results, The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) told WUSA.

DeFreytag died on July 10. He was described as a Pennsylvania native and a five-year veteran of the DC force. . .

Earlier Monday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Officer Gunther Hashida, part of an Emergency Response Team within the department’s Special Operations Division, was found dead in his home last week. A GoFundMe page set up by a relative describes Hashida as “a devoted and loving husband and father” who “worked to serve and protect the public.” The page had raised more than $71,000 as of Monday night. Wuhan to Test All Residents for COVID

The Chinese city of Wuhan will test its entire population of 11 million for COVID-19 after reporting its first local infections in over a year, authorities said Tuesday.

News of the massive undertaking in the city where COVID-19 first emerged comes a day after officials there announced seven local coronavirus infections among migrant workers.

Wuhan is “swiftly launching comprehensive nucleic acid testing of all residents”, senior official Li Tao said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Dem Squad Sings ‘Communist’ Song ‘This Land is Your Land’

Democrat congressmen and women protested Monday evening to urge President Joe Biden to extend the eviction moratorium, and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) spoke about Woody Guthrie, the writer of “This Land Is Your Land,” as a “communist” and a “socialist” before proceeding to lead the group in the iconic song.

Markey was joined by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and Democrat “Squad” members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Cori Bush (D-MO). Since Thursday, the “Squad” has protested the end of the moratorium by camping with a group on the steps of the Capitol.

A great socialist, who wrote a great song, which a lot of people think is an anthem for our country, but it was written by a socialist, okay? Back in the 1930s. A communist. He was a communist. Before the group could begin singing, a Capitol policeman interrupted, instructing protesters to gather their belongings and not leave them unattended.

Ex-Planned Parenthood Director: Abortion is ‘Death Penalty of the Unborn’

A former Planned Parenthood director has accused the abortion giant of practicing “deception” in drumming up business for the abortion industry, the Christian Post reported Monday.

Speaking at the Democrats for Life of America’s annual conference in Columbus, Ohio, this weekend, Mayra Rodriguez said that Planned Parenthood targets illegal immigrants, promising not to report them but then suggesting they could be deported if they do not abort their babies.

Planned Parenthood officials tell “immigrants that they’re welcome there: ‘we won’t deport you, we won’t call ICE on you,’” said Rodriguez, the former director of an Arizona clinic. “‘But if you carry your baby and go to the hospital and you live, for example, in Arizona or Ohio or other states where they have very strict anti-undocumented people laws, you may get deported.’” . . .

“It takes about 15 to 26 minutes for an abortion,” she said. “They suffocate them and they also inject a saline solution into their heart until their heart stops for 24 hours before they pull them out piece by piece.”

By Breitbart. If the United States Senate votes this week on the bipartisan so-called “infrastructure” bill, it would be humanly impossible for any U.S. senator to read it before voting on it.

The text of a draft of the bill, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News from U.S. Senate sources not authorized to leak it, shows the plan is 2,701 pages long.

The text, which Breitbart News is publishing here so the public can see what Congress is doing in secret, shows the plan is far more sprawling and expansive than GOP senators who backed advancing it without text even existing led their constituents to believe.

Sources familiar with the drafting of the text of this bill told Breitbart News it was being written in secret for months outside the normal legislative process, which is supposed to happen in relevant committees of jurisdiction. These sources made the unauthorized leak of the draft text to Breitbart News out of concern that the murky and secretive process behind this bill may have led to widespread corruption throughout its nearly three thousand pages. . .

Infrastructure Bill Will ‘Study’ Job Losses From Canceling Keystone XL, Without Restoring It

By Breitbart. The new $1.2 trillion “bipartisan” infrastructure bill contains a provision to create a “study and report” on the effects of President Joe Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office — but does not restore it. . .

It includes the following provision on the Keystone XL pipeline (emphasis added):

SEC. 40434. STUDY AND REPORT BY THE SECRETARY OF ENERGY ON JOB LOSS AND IMPACTS ON CONSUMER ENERGY COSTS DUE TO THE REVOCATION OF THE PERMIT FOR THE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE.

(a) DEFINITION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER.—In this section, the term ‘‘Executive Order’’ means Executive Order 13990 (86 Fed. Reg. 7037; relating to protecting public health and the environment and restoring science to tackle the climate crisis).

(b) STUDY AND REPORT.—The Secretary shall— (1) conduct a study to estimate— (A) the total number of jobs that were lost as a direct or indirect result of section 6 of the Executive Order over the 10-year period beginning on the date on which the Executive Order was issued; and (B) the impact on consumer energy costs that are projected to result as a direct or indirect result of section 6 of the Executive Order 1663 EDW21994 589 S.L.C. over the 10-year period beginning on the date on which the Executive Order was issued; and (2) not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, submit to Congress a report describing the findings of the study conducted under paragraph (1).

Meanwhile, the jihadist who founded al Qaeda to wage holy war on the West concealed himself in the Afghan mountains and in northern Pakistan to evade justice. But by 2004, as the United States bogged itself down in nation-building efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq, bin Laden felt the heat of the chase dissipate.

That’s when the world’s most wanted man ordered his bodyguard, Ibrahim Saeed Ahmed abd al-Hamid, to buy some land, hire an architect, and build a fortress big enough to house the family he was intent on reuniting in Abbottabad, Pakistan. . .

The acre of land enclosed within the walls contained a small farm that produced apples, vegetables, grapes, and honey and housed chickens and even cows — food that was apparently being consumed by unseen residents.

But the final clue was the clotheslines on the compound, which flapped each day with women’s garments, shalwar kameez worn by Pakistani men, children’s outfits and diapers — far more than the 11 members of the bodyguards’ families could ever wear.

Connecticut Dem Indicted for Voter Fraud

A Connecticut Democrat has been charged with multiple counts of voter fraud after allegedly stealing the identities of numerous tenants in his building to boost his run for city council.

Bridgeport city councilman Michael DeFilippo was charged with one count of conspiracy against rights, four counts of identity theft, and 11 counts of fraudulent registration for a scheme that helped him win his spot on the city council.

“The right to vote and have one’s vote counted in a fair and impartial election is the foundation of our democracy,” acting U.S. attorney Leonard C. Boyle said in a statement. “This defendant violated that right to help himself win election to the Bridgeport City Council, including by stealing ballots and forging signatures.”

The indictment comes as lawmakers engage in political battles over election reform nationwide. Democrats have attacked concerns over voter fraud as conspiratorial and denounce efforts aimed at increasing election integrity as racist forms of voter suppression. The Biden administration has filed a lawsuit to prevent Georgia from enacting an anti-voter fraud bill in the wake of the 2020 election, while Texas state lawmakers fled to Washington, D.C., in an effort to block ballot-integrity measures. ‘I Committed No Crime’: Rudy Giuliani Says He’s ‘More Than Willing to Go to Jail’ (VIDEO)

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pleaded that he “committed no crime” and is “more than willing to go to jail” if he is convicted in an NBC News New York interview Friday.

Federal prosecutors took several of Giuliani’s electronics and personnel phones in an April 28 raid on his home under the accusation that he violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which requires a government agent who wants to engage in foreign political activities to file paperwork for the Justice Department.

“I committed no crime, and if you think I committed a crime, you’re probably really stupid, because you don’t know who I am,” Giuliani said. “Is the guy who put the mafia in jail, terrorists in jail, Ed Koch’s commissioners in jail, and the worst people on Wall Street—I’m not going to file (a form)? I mean, that’s just crazy.”

“I am more than willing to go to jail if they want to put me in jail. And if they do, they’re going to suffer the consequences in heaven,” he continued. “I’m not, I didn’t do anything wrong.”
