Turns Out Psaki Was Wrong About Vetted Afghans. Two Were Just Indicted.

Three weeks ago White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reassured Americans Afghan refugees, who were sloppily and chaotically put onto flights out of the country while interpreters with special immigrant visa holders were left behind, were fully and properly vetted.

“I can absolutely assure you that no one is coming into the United States of America who has not been through a thorough screening and background check process,” Psaki said during the daily briefing on September 1. “There are many individuals who have not gone through that process and they have gone to lily pad countries as that process has been completed. It doesn’t mean there is a flag, it means they haven’t completed their paperwork.”

But yesterday, two Afghan men were indicted on a series of federal charges, including domestic violence and sex with a minor.

“In unrelated cases, two individuals have been charged with crimes while at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Bahrullah Noori, 20, is charged with attempting to engage in a sexual act with a minor using force against that person, and with three counts of engaging in a sexual act with a minor, with one count alleging the use of force. The indictment alleges that that the victims had not attained the age of 16 years and were at least four years younger than the defendant,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin released Wednesday evening. “Mohammad Haroon Imaad, 32, is charged with assaulting his spouse by strangling and suffocating her. The indictment alleges that the assault occurred on September 7, 2021.” (Read more from “Turns Out Psaki Was Wrong About Vetted Afghans. Two Were Just Indicted.” HERE)

Facebook Reveals How It Decides What Content To Suppress

Facebook released its updated Content Distribution Guidelines on Thursday, shedding more light on how the tech giant decides what content it suppresses.

While Facebook has previously provided some details on the types of content that receive reduced distribution in Facebook’s News Feed, the updated guidelines are designed to provide clarity and accessibility, Director of Product Management Anna Stepanov announced in a blog post Thursday.

“The Content Distribution Guidelines make it clear what content receives reduced distribution on News Feed because it’s problematic or low quality,” Stepanov wrote.

The guidelines list content Facebook suppresses in its News Feed such as clickbait, unoriginal or low-quality content and articles from news publishers rated as “broadly untrusted” by Facebook users. Content from untrustworthy or suspicious domains also receives reduced distribution, as does sensationalist news and certain types of promoted health content such as claims of products providing “miracle cures.”

Articles of Impeachment Filed Against Joe Biden

By Fox News. A group of House Republicans has filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

“I filed articles of impeachment against @POTUS based on what I believe to be clear violations of his duties,” Rep. Bob Gibbs of Ohio posted on Twitter Wednesday the day after filing the impeachment articles. “There are dynamics in Congress preventing this from being debated. But I could not stand by while Biden commits flagrant & deliberate violations of his oath of office.”

Gibbs explained that Biden’s handling of the surge of illegal immigrants at the border and his attempts to extend the federal eviction moratorium constitute a failure to carry out his duties as president.

“His willful negligence of the border crisis is a failure to maintain and defend American sovereignty. Biden’s attempts to extend a federal eviction moratorium despite the Supreme Court’s warning and his own admission that he has no power to do so is a blatant and intentional action that violates the separation of powers,” Gibbs told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Gibbs said that the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan that claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members was also a major factor in the decision to file articles of impeachment. (Read more from “Articles of Impeachment Filed Against Joe Biden” HERE)

New Group of GOP Lawmakers File Articles of Impeachment Against Biden

By The Hill. A group of four GOP lawmakers on Tuesday filed articles of impeachment against President Biden, saying he should be removed from office for not securing the border, for the way U.S. troops were removed from Afghanistan and for seeking to impose a ban on evictions even when he said it might not pass constitutional muster.

Ohio Rep. Bob Gibbs (R) is leading the effort, and is joined by fellow GOP Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Brian Babin (Texas) and Randy Weber (Texas).

This is the second time articles of impeachment have been introduced pertaining to Biden. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) filed articles of impeachment the day after Biden was sworn into office. . .

In the new articles, a copy of which were shared with The Hill, the House members argued that Biden’s conduct “warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.” (Read more from “New Group of GOP Lawmakers File Articles of Impeachment Against Biden” HERE)

‘Evil at Highest Level’: HHS Whistleblower Claims Massive Cover-up of Vaccine Risks

An employee of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has presented video recordings to Project Veritas of colleagues privately voicing alarm about the safety of the experimental COVID-19 vaccines, alleging a cover-up of “evil at the highest level.”

Jodi O’Malley, a registered nurse at the HHS-run Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Arizona, told Project Veritas CEO James O’Keefe in a video featuring the recordings that she’s seen dozens of people with adverse reactions to the vaccines come to the facility, but the cases are not being reported.

“You have the FDA, you have the CDC, that are both supposed to be protecting us, but they are under the government, and everything that we’ve done so far is unscientific,” she said.

O’Keefe asked the nurse if she is afraid her employer, the federal government, will retaliate.

“Yeah,” she replied. “I’m a federal employee. What other federal employees do you see coming out?” (Read more from “‘Evil at Highest Level’: HHS Whistleblower Claims Massive Cover-up of Vaccine Risks” HERE)

Obama-Appointed Judge Wrongly Dismisses Defamation Suit Against Twitter in Hunter Biden Laptop Case

In response to Politico’s reporting Tuesday, confirming the authenticity of the most damning materials about Joe Biden found on an abandoned MacBook, an attorney for the owner of The Mac Shop told me, “I hate the fact that there are people who think this is actual news!”

Attorney Brian Della Rocca’s sentiment is understandable. Since the New York Post first broke news of the MacBook abandoned at John Paul Mac Isaac’s computer repair store, the veracity of the documents has been confirmed many times and neither of the Bidens have denied the authenticity of the documents.

Further, as The Federalist broke last month, the abandoned laptop contained a video revealing a second missing laptop — one Hunter Biden thought the Russians had stolen and that might provide fodder for blackmail. And, significantly, approximately nine months before the New York Post revealed the videos, emails, and text messages, the FBI had seized the laptop and thus had access to the video of Hunter relaying concerns about Russians pilfering his laptop.

The supposed standard-bearers of journalism, however, ignored the Post’s original story, other than to frame it as Russian disinformation, while Twitter locked the Post’s account and prevented the story from being shared. Later when the Daily Mail broke news and a video of Hunter Biden telling a prostitute that in the summer of 2018, after awaking from a near-overdose, he discovered his laptop missing, likely stolen by Russians, corporate media remained stilted in their coverage of the explosive story. They then reverted to their see-no-evil stance when confirmation came that the FBI knew about that stolen second laptop. WH Doesn’t Know if President Biden Has Ever Visited the Southern Border

The White House admitted Wednesday they did not know if President Joe Biden had ever visited the Southern border to demonstrate his commitment to border security.

“I will have to look back in my history books and check the times he’s been to the Southern border,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in response to a question from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy during the daily White House briefing.

It remains unclear whether Biden has ever been to the Southern border, as he spent most of his political career as a U.S. senator representing Delaware.

Psaki reminded reporters that Biden worked as vice president in the Obama administration to reduce “root causes” of immigration, but she was unaware if he ever visited the border.

“I can check and see when the last time or when he may have been,” Psaki replied. (Read more from “WH Doesn’t Know if President Biden Has Ever Visited the Southern Border” HERE)

The White House Is Blaming Boris Johnson for Biden’s Snub of American Press in Oval Office (VIDEO)

The White House on Wednesday blamed United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson after President Joe Biden snubbed American reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday evening.

Johnson called on two reporters from his press corps for questions, but Biden did not do the same for American reporters.

CBS White House correspondent Ed O’Keefe raised the incident with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki during the daily briefing Wednesday.

Psaki made the excuse that Johnson did not inform Biden or his staff “in advance” that he would take questions.

“I think our relationship with the United Kingdom and with prime minister Johnson is so strong and abiding, we’ll be able to move beyond this,” she added. “But he called on individuals in his press corps without alerting us to that intention in advance.” (Read more from “The White House Is Blaming Boris Johnson for Biden’s Snub of American Press in Oval Office (VIDEO)” HERE)

House Passes Bill To Prevent Shutdown and Suspend Debt Limit

The House on Tuesday passed legislation that would prevent a government shutdown and suspend the debt limit ahead of looming deadlines with only days to spare, although the measure is set to run into a GOP wall in the Senate.

The bill passed on a party-line vote of 220-211.

It now heads to the Senate, where at least 10 Republicans would need to join with all Democrats for passage.

Nearly every Republican senator has said that they will oppose a debt limit suspension, arguing that Democrats should instead act on their own through the budget reconciliation process that can circumvent a filibuster and is being used for the $3.5 trillion social spending package.

Democrats are nonetheless attaching the debt limit suspension through Dec. 16, 2022, to a must-pass bill to avoid a government shutdown on Oct. 1 in an attempt to pressure Republicans to drop their threats. (Read more from “House Passes Bill To Prevent Shutdown and Suspend Debt Limit” HERE)

Biden Approval Rating Drops to Record Low in Gallup Polling

President Biden’s approval rating after eight months in office has dipped to 43 percent, according to a new Gallup poll released Wednesday, the lowest level of support the firm has recorded for the first-term president.

Gallup’s poll, conducted from Sept. 1 to 17, also marked the first time a majority disapproved of Biden’s job performance, with 53 percent of U.S. adults indicating they had a negative view of his presidency.

Biden’s approval rating has remained high among Democrats, though it reached its lowest this month at 90 percent, with only 6 percent of Republicans this month giving Biden high marks.

Among independent voters, Gallup recorded the lowest approval rating for Biden to date, at 37 percent, a significant drop from his high of 61 percent measured during his first month in office.

The latest Gallup poll was conducted following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, with Biden’s efforts to completely remove the U.S. military presence from the country overshadowed by the Taliban’s rapid consolidation of power 20 years after the U.S. first toppled the militant group. Researchers Predict Steady Decline in COVID Cases Through March — Without Any ‘Significant Winter Surge’

A group of researchers that advises the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicted this week that the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic could be over — and said that a steady decline in confirmed coronavirus cases through March could very well be on the horizon.

The pandemic, according to a consortium of researchers advising the CDC, appears to have either peaked or be close to peaking, as they predict cases will fall this autumn and into the winter months.

The Delta variant surge also appears to be peaking nationally, according to the group’s predictions, and the country is reportedly not likely to see a “significant winter surge.”

A Wednesday report from NPR noted, “For its latest update, which it will release Wednesday, the COVID-19 Scenario Modeling Hub combined nine different mathematical models from different research groups to get an outlook for the pandemic for the next six months.”

Justin Lessler of the University of North Carolina — who helps to run the hub — told the news organization, “Any of us who have been following this closely, given what happened with Delta, are going to be really cautious about too much optimism. But I do think that the trajectory is towards improvement for most of the country.” (Read more from “Researchers Predict Steady Decline in COVID Cases Through March — Without Any ‘Significant Winter Surge'” HERE)
