Grateful Refugee Plots To Bomb Pittsburgh Church

If one of those fabled white supremacist terrorists that Biden’s handlers keep telling us are the biggest terror threat in America today had been caught plotting to bomb a mosque, you can bet you would have heard about it. But the news Thursday that a Muslim named Mustafa Mousab Alowemer pleaded guilty to a jihad plot to bomb a Pittsburgh church, the Legacy International Worship Center, got little notice. That’s no surprise: the story doesn’t fit the narrative of either Biden’s handlers or the establishment media, which is that there is no significant jihad terror threat, and a much bigger problem is the “Islamophobia” of Trump’s bloodthirsty MAGA legions. Back in the real world, the guilty plea is a small reminder of what the real threat really is.

There is another reason why both the administration and the media would rather have this story go away, amid the chaos at the Southern border and just after the catastrophe in Afghanistan: Alowemer, 23, came to the United States from Syria as a refugee when he was 18. Yet he doesn’t exactly fit the image of a grateful refugee, eager to become a part of our glorious multicultural mosaic. He told investigators, according to the criminal complaint against him, that “his motivation to detonate a device at the Church was to support the cause of ISIS and to inspire other ISIS sympathizers in the United States to join together and commit similar acts in the name of ISIS.” He added that he “also targeted the Church, which he described as Christian and Nigerian, in order to ‘take revenge for our [ISIS] brothers in Nigeria.’” Christians are suffering fierce persecution from Muslims in Nigeria, but as far as Alowemer was concerned, this meant only that they were infidels at war with Allah, and he thirsted for revenge.

The young jihadi wanted to maximize the casualty count. The Associated Press reported that Alowemer had “detailed plans” to bomb the church, including a particularly cruel touch: “Federal prosecutors said at the plea hearing that he talked about potentially planting a second explosive device, timing the detonation to coincide with when first responders would begin to arrive.”

The criminal complaint also inadvertently reveals the cluelessness of the FBI regarding the beliefs, motives, and goals of Islamic jihadists. It states:

In or around April 2018, the FBI identified a social networking account with display name “Mustafa Alowemer” as likely belonging to Alowemer. Notably, the “Intro” section of the social networking account included a phrase in Arabic text that an FBI linguist translated as “hoping to Allah that he dies in a way that does not require the traditional funeral cleansing and burial rituals.” This same FBI linguist interpreted this statement to mean that Alowemer wanted to die by being blown up, which would render traditional Islamic funeral rituals unnecessary or impossible.

New COVID Variant Detected in U.S. Nursing Home

Experts have discovered a new coronavirus variant in a Kentucky nursing home, and it appears to be a unique variant worth keeping an eye on.

Per Forbes, the new variant — named R.1 — is related to the original coronavirus strain. It was originally discovered in Japan and has infected more than 10,000 people globally, according to recent data. . .

Experts recommend keeping an eye on this variant as it spreads in the U.S. and Japan.

“R.1 is a variant to watch,” according to Forbes. “It has established a foothold in both Japan and the United States. In addition to several mutations notably in the spike and nucleocapsid protein in common with variants of concern, R.1 has a set of unique mutations that may confer an additional advantage in transmission, replication, and immune suppression.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first discovered the variant in Kentucky in April. However, the CDC study said that vaccinated residents were 87% less likely to have symptomatic COVID-19 cases through the variant compared to the unvaccinated. Democrats’ Voting Rights Bill Boosted by Liberal Dark Money Group Financed by Foreign National

A dark money group funded by a Swiss billionaire foreign national is spending heavily to lobby moderate Democrats to support voting rights legislation that Republicans have railed against as another election power grab by Democrats, filings show.

Between 2019 and 2021, the Sixteen Thirty Fund paid more than $750,000 to lobby groups working to sway senators on voting rights legislation, documents show.

Sixteen Thirty Fund, which operates as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, is a dark money group that directs money from donors to projects that it sponsors, effectively allowing the funding sources to remain anonymous. It acts as a fiscal sponsor for more than 50 groups that lack tax-exempt status or do not exist as separately incorporated entities.

The nonprofit incubator is closely tied to Arabella Advisors, a firm that advises donors and nonprofits about where to give money. It was founded by former Clinton administration appointee Eric Kessler, who serves as the president and chair of Sixteen Thirty Fund.

Arabella Advisors provides “business and administrative services” to the nonprofit, including offering “the systems and services to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations related to charitable solicitation and provides HR, legal, payroll and other administrative functions,” according to a recent tax filing. Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) pushed back against recent criticism of U.S. Border Patrol agents who rode up horseback to force Haitian asylum seekers out of Del Rio, Texas, after the small border town had become flooded with thousands of illegal aliens in recent days.

Cueller, appearing on CNN on Tuesday, disputed false narratives that emerged from an inaccurate news report claiming an agent swung a “whip” while charging his horse toward the illegal aliens. The misinformation was amplified by several of his fellow Democrats and possibly further exaggerated by CNN anchor Victor Blackwell, who said on-air that an agent “appears to use what looks like a rope or a lasso” while referencing a photograph taken during the encounter.

“Well, you know, certainly, we got to make sure we treat all the immigrants with respect and dignity,” Cuellar said. “But I will say this, Border Patrol has had those horse brigades for a while, they’ve had them for a while, number one. Number two, they don’t carry whips. And they do not carry lassos. I think the picture you’re talking about, at least the one I’ve seen is the rein, the rein of the horses.”

Cuellar said that if there was a problem with the agent’s conduct, it should be looked into but that “we cannot paint the Border Patrol with that same type of paintbrush.”

The Results Are in for Canada’s Election. Did Trudeau Survive?

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is still the prime minister of Canada after winning his third straight electoral victory Tuesday. His party did not win a majority of seats in Canada’s parliament.

Trudeau clung to power late Tuesday morning, winning or leading in 157 seats. The Conservative Party will remain the official opposition, winning or leading in 122 seats. The results are almost identical to those of the 2019 election.

“I hear you when you say you just want to get back to the things you love and not worry about this pandemic or about an election,” Trudeau told supporters in Montreal in his victory speech. “Your members of Parliament of all stripes will have your back in this crisis and beyond. Canadians are able to get around any obstacle and that is exactly what we will continue to do.”

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole ran a moderate campaign and only added one more seat to the party’s tally in the Canadian House of Commons. He vowed to stay on as Conservative leader and challenge Trudeau again in the next federal election.

Under Canadian electoral statutes, a prime minister is authorized to call an election at any time with the approval of the governor general, the Queen’s representative. Memo Reportedly Outlines Trump Lawyer’s Six-Step Plan To Overturn Biden’s Victory

An attorney aiding former President Donald Trump’s failed bid to overturn the 2020 election provided then-Vice President Mike Pence with a six-step plan to do so, journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa say in their new book.

The duo obtained the memo, first reported by CNN, which was presented to Pence on Jan. 4, two days before he was set to certify the election before Congress. It centered around throwing out votes in seven states, falsely alleging that they had relied on invalid electors.

Once those states, and the tens of millions of votes from them, were discarded, Pence could declare Trump the winner, Eastman reportedly said.

Noting the all but certain objections from Democrats, Eastman then recorded how the House of Representatives would decide the election. Though Democrats had a House majority, each state delegation would get one vote, which Eastman said would result in a Trump win given Republicans’ 26-24 edge.

White House Reporters File Formal Complaint Against Biden for Refusing to Answer Questions

The White House press pool filed a formal complaint against Democrat President Joe Biden for refusing to answer questions from American media about the multiple crises that have erupted under his regime.

The complaint came as Biden met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the Oval Office, which comes after Biden angered the British with his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan.

“[President] Biden and British PM [Boris Johnson] meet to discuss pandemic, trade and other issues,” CBS News reporter Ed O’Keefe tweeted. “Johnson took 3 questions. White House aides shouted down U.S. attempts to ask questions. I asked Biden about southern border and we couldn’t decipher what he said.”

White House Correspondents’ Association President Steven Portnoy said in a statement that he filed a formal complaint over the incident to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

Dems Fear Biden’s Radical Agenda Failing: ‘We Better Have a Plan B’

House Democrats are worried President Biden’s radical agenda is failing in the legislative branch of government, causing cracks within the party that have begun to play out in the media over how to pass the proposed $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.

“If any member of Congress is not concerned that this could fall apart, they need treatment,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) told Politico in reference to the Democrat’s inability to work together.

Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) told the outlet the party is so fractured over the massive tax and spend bill she hopes there is a second plan up Biden’s sleeve.

“I wish that we could all be more on the same page, in terms of timing, of the need to push the [American Families Plan],” Hirono said. “I’m hopeful we are going to have a meeting of the minds and not wait until next year… we better have a Plan B.”

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) added Democrats are lost in a maze of complicated congressional procedures, and no one knows “where this [package] is gonna go.” Phillips also told Politico he holds the Democrat leadership responsible for the mess. By The Blaze. Thousands of New Yorkers protested against vaccine mandates on Saturday. A diverse crowd demonstrated in New York City against the government’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate orders in a protest dubbed the “rally for freedom,” which was a part of a worldwide demonstration.

A diverse crowd marched through the streets of New York City on Saturday; some waved American, Gadsden, and LGBTQ flags. Other demonstrators were holding signs that read: “My body, my choice,” “Latinos against forced vaccines,” “God is with us,” and “LGBTQ people for medical freedom.” . . .

One featured speaker at the freedom rally quoted President Joe Biden, who said earlier this month, “What more do you need to see? We’ve made vaccinations free, safe and convenient. We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin. And your refusal has cost all of us.”

The speaker told the demonstrators, “Joe Biden, your patience is wearing thin? We lost our patience!”

The crowd reacted by chanting, “F*** Joe Biden!”

Times Square Swarmed by Hundreds Protesting COVID Vaccine Mandate, Chanting ‘F— Joe Biden’

By Fox News. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in New York City’s Times Square Saturday to protest coronavirus vaccine mandate requirements.

Protesters could be seen waving flags and signs on Saturday with many of them chanting against mandatory vaccines. . .

The event was part of the “World Wide Rally For Freedom” which took place in cities across the globe including in Australia where protesters clashed with police in videos posted to social media.

“We will push back against widespread propaganda, by producing our own media, and advancing our own narrative, instead of succumbing to the one being pushed on us. We will not accept the rampant politicization of science and medicine, and we will return these institutions to being neutral sources of information for the benefit of society, over government and corporate interests,” a press release about Saturday’s event reed on the organizers’ website. Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, the active-duty Marine officer who caught viral attention for criticizing the leadership decisions in the U.S. evacuation in Kabul, Afghanistan, is now saying he wants to prosecute Marine Gen. Kenneth McKenzie for dereliction of duty.

In a video released on Thursday, Scheller said his continued criticisms of military leadership could result in pre-trial confinement and an escalation in his legal status.

“To recap my position, in the fallout of Afghanistan I demanded accountability in my senior leaders and I stated then that I understood that I might lose my battalion commander seat, my retirement and my family’s stability,” Scheller said. “As it has played out, I have in-fact lost all three of those things.”

Scheller indicated that rather than pursuing a court-martial over his critical remarks, the Marines had offered him a non-judicial punishment and separation under honorable conditions, so long as he is willing to give up his commission and not fight for his retirement.

“The reason I can’t let it go and the reason I’m not just taking an offer is because I feel like there are general officers in our institution who aren’t being held accountable,” Scheller said.
