Scientists Say Groundbreaking New Gel Treatment Reverses Paralysis in Mice as Researchers Prepare to Request FDA Approval for Human Trials (VIDEO)

Researchers say that a brand-new treatment has cured mice of paralysis after just four weeks of treatment, according to a release from Northwestern Now.

Citing scientific findings — which were published in journal Science on Thursday — researchers at Northwestern University stated that new injectable gel therapy is allowing previously paralyzed mice to walk again.

Scientists say that the groundbreaking gel, which is said to use synthetic nanofibers in order to mimic the natural environment around the spinal cord, is able to communicate with organic cells to promote regeneration.

A press release from Northwestern Now states, “Researchers found that intensifying the motion of molecules within the nanofibers led to greatly improved repair after injury.”

“Cell receptors are in constant motion, so rapidly moving ‘dancing molecules’ can more effectively hit these moving targets,” the release continued. “In an animal study, the therapy successfully regenerated axons of the cord’s neurons, reduced scar tissue, promoted myelin growth, triggered blood vessel formation, and helped motor neurons survive.”

Data: GOP Surging in the ‘Burbs, Dems Losing Hispanics, ‘Woke’ Messaging Alienating Swing Voters

Let’s review a few more polling notes in the wake of last week’s Republican victories. One of the keys to the Virginia statewide sweep, in addition to extremely strong GOP base turnout, was a shift toward the GOP in the suburbs. This wasn’t just true in Northern Virginia, where Glenn Youngkin cut into Democratic margins, but in other suburban areas that swung red. We analyzed a recent NBC News poll showing substantial Republican nationwide advantages on major issues. This Politico/Morning Consult survey shows much of the same, with the opposition party developing strong leads among suburban voters in particular:

A full 15-point swing in Republicans’ favor on the economy in ten months, which isn’t far off from the 12-to-13 point shift in the vote margins in both Virginia and New Jersey (Biden margin vs. 2021 gubernatorial margin). Notice that the GOP now holds significant, sometimes commanding leads, in the ‘burbs on national security, the economy, jobs, immigration, and even guns. They’re also competitive on issues that typically heavily favor Democrats, like healthcare, voting rights, energy, and…education. On the education front, these two tweets may help explain why voters are moving away from Democrats:

National Guard on Standby for Rittenhouse Verdict

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) has placed 500 Wisconsin National Guard troops on standby in Kenosha for the expected verdict in Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial next week amid concerns of possible violence.

Evers said in a statement:

We continue to be in close contact with our partners at the local level to ensure the state provides support and resources to help keep the Kenosha community and greater area safe. The Kenosha community has been strong, resilient, and has come together through incredibly difficult times these past two years, and that healing is still ongoing. I urge folks who are otherwise not from the area to please respect the community by reconsidering any plans to travel there and encourage those who might choose to assemble and exercise their First Amendment rights to do so safely and peacefully.

Black Americans Sue U.S. Farms for Replacing Them with Foreign Workers

Black Americans who spent most of their lives working on Mississippi farms are suing their former employer after they were replaced by foreign workers on the H-2A visa program.

The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, accuses Pitts Farms of laying off a number of black Americans, only to replace them with foreign visa workers from South Africa. . .

In interviews with the New York Times, black Americans said they had spent most of their lives earning a living as farm workers at Pitts Farms. The work is part of a long history wherein black Americans along the Mississippi Delta have spent grueling hours on farms doing intense physical labor.

One of the black Americans suing Pitts Farms, 50-year-old Richard Strong, told the Times that he has worked on farms for more than 25 years. His father and grandfather did so as well, as well as his enslaved ancestors.

Strong said about 10 years ago is when he noticed farms along the Mississippi Delta began importing foreign visa workers, almost entirely from South Africa. When the first groups arrived, Strong said he helped train them. Now, more than 100 U.S. farms along the Delta employ foreign visa workers from South Africa over Americans. Iran-Backed Militants Storm US Embassy in Yemen

The State Department is working to secure the release of several kidnapped hostages taken by Iran-backed terrorists just a day after the militant group stormed the U.S. embassy facility in Sana’a, Yemen, U.S. officials told the Washington Free Beacon early Thursday.

A group of Houthi rebels reportedly stormed the U.S. compound on Wednesday seeking “large quantities of equipment and materials,” according to regional reports translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. The raid comes just five days after the Houthis kidnapped Yemeni nationals who work for the U.S. embassy. “The alleged raid comes after the Houthis kidnapped three Yemeni nationals affiliated with the U.S. Embassy from one of the employee’s private residences in Sana’a on November 5,” according to MEMRI. At least 22 other Yemenis were kidnapped by the Houthis in recent weeks, “most of whom worked on the security staff guarding the embassy grounds,” according to MEMRI.

The State Department confirmed to the Free Beacon that the Yemeni staffers are being detained without explanation and that the Iran-backed militants stole property after breaching the American facility in Sana’a, which housed U.S. embassy staff prior to the suspension of operations there in 2015.

“The United States has been unceasing in its diplomatic efforts to secure their release,” a State Department spokesman told the Free Beacon. “The majority of the detained have been released, but the Houthis continue to detain additional Yemeni employees of the embassy.” (Read more from “Iran-Backed Militants Storm US Embassy in Yemen” HERE)

Army Veteran Designed Google Veterans Day Doodle

By The Ledger-Enquirer. A Columbus artist and Army veteran’s design will be seen by millions of users this Veterans Day.

Steve Tette, a 2010 and 2013 graduate of Columbus State University’s art education program, was chosen to design the “Google Doodle” for Veterans Day, according to a news release from CSU. Tette spent 20 years serving in the Army before retiring and pursuing art. . .

Governor Throws Biden’s ‘Flying Migrants to Florida’ Ploy Back in Joe’s Face

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday floated sending migrants to President Biden’s home state of Delaware, in response to the dozens of migrant flights DeSantis says have landed in Florida at the behest of the Biden administration.

“If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses,” DeSantis said of the migrants on the flights. “I will send them to Delaware and do that.”

“If he’s not going to support the border being secure, then he should be able to have everyone there,” he said.

The Republican governor has been ramping up his battle with the administration over migrant flights into Jacksonville. His office told The Washington Examiner that there have been more than 70 flights of migrants into the Sunshine State since the summer.

The Examiner reported that officials said the Biden administration has refused to tell the governor’s office about who is facilitating the flights and other information. DeSantis told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that the flights operate in the late hours of the night at “one or two or three in the morning.” He added that the flights were “unannounced” and he was given “no notice” and thus no ability to veto the flights. KISS rock star Gene Simmons is not mincing words when it comes to those who remain unvaccinated against COVID-19, calling them “an enemy.”

“If you’re willing to walk among us unvaccinated, you are an enemy,” Simmons declared during an appearance on the Rock N Roll Channel on TalkShopLive.

“Stay away from evil people who don’t care about your health,” he said.

When host Steve Harkins said that the issue appears to be “pretty much black and white, [and] not a political game,” Simmons jumped back in.

“It has become political, unfortunately, the far left and the far right, are both evil. They both spread all kinds of nonsense,” Simmons said. “Politics are the enemy. Humanism and humanity is what we should all be concerned about. Scientists Stunned by COVID Findings in Deer Population That Could Extend the Pandemic

Scientists studying coronavirus infections in deer said they were stunned at their findings and cautioned that deer may complicate and extend the pandemic.

Veterinarians at Pennsylvania State University found active SARS-CoV-2 infections in at least 30% of the deer tested from Iowa in 2020. The findings were published online in a study last week.

“It was actually quite stunning to us,” said Penn State veterinary microbiologist Vivek Kapur. “We were very surprised to see such a high number of positive samples.”

FBI Director Told Former Agents the Bureau Will ‘Stay in Its Own Lane’ and Won’t Be Attending School Board Meetings

FBI Director Christopher Wray “made it clear” during an October speech that FBI agents “would not be attending school board meetings” and the Bureau “would stay in its own lane,” a former agent who saw the speech told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Cecil Moses, a retired FBI special agent and former police chief in Alabama, was in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the national conference for the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, where he said Wray met with former agents on Oct. 22 and assured them that the Bureau would not be monitoring school board meetings.

“He made it clear he didn’t want it to be any misconception, that there’s going to be FBI agents out there looking over the shoulder of parents or monitoring school board meetings and the like,” Moses told the DCNF. “He made the comment that the Bureau will stay in his own lane and I think that’s a very, very cogent comment.”

Parents across the country have joined a nationwide movement against what they believe is harmful ideology permeating American public schools. Many parent activists have shown up at school board meetings to air their grievances, which were likened to “the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes,” by the National School Boards Association (NSBA) in a Sept. 29 letter to President Joe Biden’s administration.
