Why the Supply Chain Crisis Is About to Get Much Worse

The Biden administration on Thursday announced the deadline for his private employer vaccine mandate, raising serious questions about how the rule will exacerbate the supply chain crisis.

According to RealClearPolitics’ Tom Bevan, there is no exemption for the trucking industry and there will likely be drivers who quit over the mandate.

“So all the biggest trucking companies in America – who already face major driver shortages – will see a % of their workforce quit. Supply chain crisis is going to get much worse – very soon,” he warned.

Bevan noted that a significant percentage of drivers are unvaccinated, which doesn’t make much of a difference given “the very nature of the job is iconoclastic: they spend most of the day alone in the cab of a truck, having very little interaction with other people.”

White Mom Stopped by Police, Says Airline Profiled Her, Accused Her of Trafficking Black Daughter

A white mother is accusing flight attendants of profiling her and her black 10-year-old daughter after they were stopped by police officers on suspicion of possible human trafficking at a Denver airport while departing a Southwest Airlines flight.

Mary MacCarthy, 42, booked last-minute seats on the flight after her brother died suddenly the night before. The single mother and her 10-year-old daughter Moira were stopped and confronted by a Southwest staffer at Denver Internation Airport after being flagged for human trafficking due to suspicious behavior on the flight. Armed police officers flanked the staffer per protocol as they pulled the mother and daughter aside. . .

The mother claims that both she and her daughter were traumatized by the incident and they have now retained an attorney in the matter. The daughter can be heard sobbing in the background of the video.

“It’s okay sweetheart,” the mother told her daughter in the three-minute video. She can also be heard dramatically stating, “I have a daughter, who has unfortunately already been traumatized by police in her life.”

Officers told the mother that a Southwest Airlines employee reported her for suspicious behavior. A police report that was filed after the incident purportedly indicates that both the airline and police suspected her of “trafficking” the child. GOP Rep. Visits Jan. 6 Detainees at D.C. Jail, Says They Are ‘Suffering Greatly’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday visited the D.C. jail and reported that detainees charged in connection with the Capitol riot were “suffering greatly.”

The Georgia Republican said her visiting the detainees in the “Patriot” wing of the D.C. Central Treatment Facility “was like walking into a prisoner of war camp and seeing men [whose] eyes can’t believe someone had made it in to see them.”

Mrs. Greene said they have “virtually no medical care, very poor food quality, and [are] being put through re-education which most of them are rejecting.”

She said the detainees “have felt forgotten and hopeless” and that she was “greeted by men with overwhelming cheers who rushed out to meet me with tears streaming down their faces.”

City Announces That Children Will Soon Need to Show Their Vaccine Papers

San Francisco will become the first city in the nation to announce plans to have children 5 and up show proof of vaccination in certain indoor settings.

The decision comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine for ages 5-11.

According to NBC, the rule will apply in gyms, restaurants, and sporting events.

San Francisco Health Officer Susan Philip said the city will give adequate time for children to be vaccinated before implementing the rule.

“That will happen no sooner than about eight weeks after the vaccine is available to kids,” she said. “So, there will be a limited time in which there will not be those requirements, but then at some point, 5 to 11-year-olds will also have to show proof of vaccination to access some of those same settings.” . . .

Flip Flop? White House Admits Border Crossers Could Be Paid off After Biden Said ‘That’s Not Going to Happen’; House GOP Trying to Block Potential Payouts (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. A day after President Joe Biden denied that border crossers could be paid off nearly half a million each as part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) settlement, his White House admits that such payouts will happen “if it saves taxpayer dollars.”

Last month, reports circulated that Biden’s DOJ, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) were working to settle with a number of border crossers represented by the ACLU, who claim they have suffered trauma as a result of former President Donald Trump’s “Zero Tolerance” policy that was briefly imposed in 2019.

As part of the settlement, attorneys with the DOJ, DHS, and HHS are considering a plan that would give each border crosser about $450,000 and family units about $1 million. The total cost of the payouts would reach $1 billion. . .

On Thursday, though, White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed border crossers could secure payouts “if it saves taxpayer dollars” and suggested that Biden does not have much say in a DOJ settlement despite his comments on the issue.

“If it saves taxpayer dollars and puts the disastrous of the previous administration … and family separation behind us, the president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the families who are currently in litigation with the U.S. government,” Jean-Pierre said. House GOP Trying to Block Potential $450K Payouts to Separated Migrants

By New York Post. House Republicans introduced a bill Thursday that would block potential payouts to members of illegal immigrant families separated at the border under the Trump administration.

The bill, known as the Illegal Immigration Payoff Prohibition Act, was introduced by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship, and will look to amend 28 USC 2414, which gives the attorney general the power to enter settlement agreements.

Co-sponsored by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) as part of a total of 146 co-sponsors, the bill is looking to block the attorney general from making any payouts to illegal immigrants that are connected to violations of immigration laws, such as “the provision of law that criminalizes illegal border crossing” and “the provision of law deems an individual inadmissible for attempting to enter the country illegally at a port of entry.”

The bill comes one week after the Wall Street Journal reported the administration is considering settling lawsuits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and others on behalf of families who crossed into the US from Mexico illegally to seek asylum.

Fully Vaccinated Plane Passenger Found Dead in Seat From Coronavirus

A fully-vaccinated passenger on a flight from Turkey to Germany was found dead in his seat, reportedly infected with the coronavirus.

Crew members on Pegasus Airlines’ Flight 1043 discovered the 51-year-old traveller, when they arrived in Hamburg last week, reported German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt.

Germany’s COVID-19 rules require passengers to reveal their COVID status before flying by providing a negative test result or proof of immunity.

Illegal Alien Who Posed as Unaccompanied Minor While Crossing Border Charged With Murder

A 24-year-old Honduran immigrant who’s charged with murder in the brutal stabbing death of a Florida man had crossed the US border illegally months earlier while posing as an unaccompanied minor, an investigation by The Post found.

Yery Noel Medina Ulloa was busted Oct. 7 in Jacksonville when he was found covered in blood after allegedly killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, a father of four who had taken in the immigrant who told authorities he was 17.

Police said they followed a trail of blood back to the victim’s home and arrested Ulloa, placing him in a juvenile detention facility.

It wasn’t until Oct. 13 that authorities learned his real identity — and his true age.

Ulloa, who turned 24 on Friday, had duped border authorities in Texas several months earlier by claiming he was a teenager named Reynel Alexander Hernandez — and even told his mom about the ruse. New Evidence for Lab-Leak Hypothesis of COVID’s Origins

The origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 remains unclear, but recent revelations reinforce the likelihood that the true source was a lab leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).

A letter from Lawrence Tabak, the National Institutes of Health’s principal deputy director, to Kentucky congressman James Comer confirms that the NIH funded research at the WIV during 2018–2019 that manipulated a bat coronavirus called WIV1. Researchers at the institute grafted spike proteins from other coronaviruses onto WIV1 to see if the modified virus was capable of binding in a mouse that possessed the ACE2 receptors found in humans—the same receptor to which SARS-CoV-2 binds. The modified virus reproduced more rapidly and made infected humanized mice sicker than the unmodified virus.

Starting in 2014, the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, headed by Anthony Fauci, funded the New York-based research nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance with annual grants through 2020 for “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence.” Total funding was $3,748,715. More than $600,000 of that went to the WIV. Three other Chinese institutions received funding as well. The principal investigator was EcoHealth Alliance president Peter Daszak, who, from the onset of the pandemic, has consistently campaigned in public and behind the scenes to convince people that SARS-CoV-2 did not come from the WIV but evolved naturally from animal-to-human transmission.

Tabak’s letter asserts that the modified virus’s becoming more virulent “was an unexpected result” and not “something that the researchers set out to do”—an odd claim, considering that the whole point of manipulating the virus was to investigate things that could make it more virulent. The 2018 research mentioned in Tabak’s letter is similar to earlier WIV research, funded in part by the NIH, that modified viruses related to SARS to see if they could infect human cells. Publications of these studies in 2017 and 2016 were the subject of a contentious Senate hearing in which Senator Rand Paul pressed Fauci to admit that they constituted gain-of-function research, prompting Fauci’s denial and a statement that “NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Many, but not all, virologists believe that the WIV experimentation qualifies as gain-of-function research. Such research was originally defined as “any modification of a biological agent that confers new or enhanced activity.” The National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity proposed that only a narrower category, gain-of-function research of concern—research that could make a pathogen likely to spread and cause disease in humans—needs extra regulatory oversight. Massive $1.48 Trillion Tax Hike in Build Back Better Not Enough to Pay For Biden’s Radical Agenda

The tax hikes President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better social program spending bill would raise nearly $1.48 trillion in new tax revenue, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation.

Despite the massive tax hike, the new revenue still falls short of the $1.75 trillion spending increase House Democrats have packed into the legislation to fund the Biden agenda of new cradle to grave social programs and green new deal schemes.

Representative Richard Neal (D-MA), the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has said the package would be “fully paid for” with taxes and other offsets. Centrist Democrats have said they want to see analyses from the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) and the Congressional Budget Office before voting on the legislation. Report: Source for Steele Dossier Conspiracy Theories Arrested

One of the key sources for the wild claims ex-British agent Christopher Steele included in his now-debunked anti-Trump dossier – a key part of the Democrats’ conspiracy theory created to falsely link then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia – has been arrested.

The New York Times is reporting that Igor Danchenko, a “Russia analyst who worked with Christopher Steele,” was taken into custody as part of the investigation of that campaign to undermine Trump’s candidacy, and then presidency, by former U.S. Attorney John Durham.

Durham was tasked by then-Attorney General Bill Barr to investigate how the false claims against Trump were inserted at the highest levels of the Barack Obama administration, and were used by Democrats from that administration against a sitting president after Trump was inaugurated.

Already, there’s been one guilty plea in the investigation, and another key player indicted.
