Christian Pregnancy Center Set on Fire After Roe v. Wade Decision

A faith-based center for pregnant women in Colorado was vandalized and burned Saturday, and authorities are looking for those responsible.

Law enforcement officers were alerted to a fire at Life Choices in Longmont that morning, and upon arrival they saw the building was on fire and had messages scrawled on it that referenced the overturning of Roe v. Wade, according to the New York Post.

In a social media message, Longmont Fire, Police and Community Health and Resilience said the building sustained “fire and heavy smoke damage,” noting the property had been vandalized with black paint.

The agency added the case was being investigated as arson.

One photo showed the phrase, “Bans Off Our Bodies” spray painted at the entrance with the anarchy symbol above it on the wall.

Ghislaine Maxwell on Suicide Watch

Ghislaine Maxwell, the late Jeffrey Epstein’s former girlfriend and confidant, was placed on suicide watch, even though she is not suicidal, according to her attorney.

Attorney Bobbi Sternheim said in a letter Saturday that his client, who is being held in a federal detention center in Brooklyn, may need to postpone her sentencing, set to take place on Monday. Prosecutors requested that Maxwell, 60, be sentenced to a minimum of 30 years and up to 55 years in prison for her role in recruiting and grooming young women to be sexually abused by Epstein.

Officials abruptly moved Maxwell to solitary confinement and placed her on suicide watch on Friday without a psychological evaluation and “without justification,” Sternheim told U.S. Circuit Judge Alison Nathan, according to CNN. Sternheim said he “met with Ms. Maxwell today” and insisted she “is not suicidal,” per the letter.

“If Ms. Maxwell remains on suicide watch, is prohibited from reviewing legal materials prior to sentencing, becomes sleep-deprived, and is denied sufficient time to meet with and confer with counsel, we will be formally moving on Monday for an adjournment,” the attorney added. Green Day Frontman Renouncing Citizenship Over Roe Reversal

Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong says he is lost to the U.S. forever. On Friday night he declared “f**k America” before adding he was “renouncing his citizenship” in the aftermath of the SCOTUS abortion ruling.

The landmark Supreme Court decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case, which overturned the long-standing 1973 Roe v. Wade judgement, sparked violent public upheaval across the country over the past 72-hours, as Breitbart News reported.

Now it has met a response across the pond.

Armstrong, 50, made his personal declaration during a Friday night concert in London, letting his audience know he believes: “There’s too much f***ing stupid in the world.” (Read more from “Green Day Frontman Renouncing Citizenship Over Roe Reversal” HERE)

Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer Does Not Condemn Leftist Violence When Asked About Threats

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) did not condemn violence toward pro-life groups and individuals during an interview on Sunday when she was asked about “active threats” in her state.

Whitmer made the remarks during an interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” with host Margaret Brennan as the topic of the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade dominated the segment.

“I want to ask you about this homeland security warning that domestic violent extremists may intensify violence,” Brennan said. “In the bulletin that CBS obtained, it specifically mentioned an incident in Michigan, related to a pro-abortion rights group.”

One of the incidents mentioned in the memo “involved vandalism claimed by ‘Jane’s Revenge,’” a far-Left group, “on a building that houses a U.S. Representative’s campaign office and a pro-life advocacy group.”

“How concerned are you about violence?” Brennan asked. “What are you seeing on the ground?” (Read more from “Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer Does Not Condemn Leftist Violence When Asked About Threats” HERE)

Joe Biden Signs Gun Legislation Bill Into Law

President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan gun legislation into law, the largest gun control bill in nearly 30 years.

“Time is of the essence. Lives will be saved,” Biden said despite the real issue being the person behind the gun, not the gun itself.

“From Columbine to Sandy Hook to Charleston, Orlando, Las Vegas, Parkland, El Paso, Atlanta, Buffalo, Uvalde and for the shootings that happen every day in the streets. How many times have you heard that, ‘just do something, for God’s sake just do something’?” Biden said, adding “today we did.”

Biden did however admit that the bill is not as strict as he had hoped, but touted that the legislation will still “save lives.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Signs Gun Legislation Bill Into Law” HERE)

WATCH: Rudy Giuliani Slapped While Campaigning for Son in New York

Former New York City Mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani was slapped on the back Sunday at a Staten Island grocery store, by a worker who has since been arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

The 78-year-old was out and about in the conservative-leaning NYC borough campaigning for his son, Andrew, who is seeking the GOP nomination for governor, when the incident occurred. Surveillance footage obtained by the New York Post showed America’s mayor talking to a small group of shoppers at a local ShopRite when a store worker came from behind and slapped him. Giuliani was then grabbed by a woman to his left, who he said may have prevented him from falling forward.

The worker, who police have yet to name, then began heckling the famous Republican about abortion, a major national topic in the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade on Friday.

“All of a sudden, I feel this, ‘Bam!’ on my back,” Giuliani told The Post. “I don’t know if they helped me not fall down, but I just about fell down, but I didn’t.”

Draft Leak Versus Actual Dobbs Opinion Shows Supreme Court Didn’t Buckle Under Pressure

The leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that foreshadowed the overturning of abortion rights last month resembles Friday’s final decision, signaling that the justices did not buckle under weeks of public pressure.

Despite a national outcry of protests, marches, and an alleged attempted assassination against Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Justice Samuel Alito’s majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization very closely resembled the draft opinion leaked by Politico on May 2.

“It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives. … That is what the Constitution and the rule of law demand,” Alito wrote in the draft and the final decision on Friday.

The draft opinion signaled Friday’s likely outcome that Justices Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Kavanaugh, appointees of former President Donald Trump, would join Justices Clarence Thomas and Alito to upend 50 years of precedent regarding abortion access and allow states to create laws banning or severely limiting abortion. WATCH: Father of Murdered 3-Year-Old Boy Attacks Man Accused of Killing His Son During Court Hearing

The father of a purportedly slain 3-year-old boy went on a revenge-fueled attack on his son’s accused killer in the middle of a court hearing.

Desean Brown is accused of murdering 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore and her 3-year-old son Nylo. Prosecutors believe Brown stabbed Lattimore to death on Dec. 5, 2020, in an apartment in Walnut Hills, Ohio.

Lattimore was found along the banks of the Ohio River on Dec. 12, 2020. Nylo’s stroller was also found in the Ohio River, but the 3-year-old boy has yet to be found. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters said Nylo’s blood was found on a Paw Patrol blanket that was recovered near his mother’s body.

WCPO-TV reported on a possible motive in the heinous crime, “Kimberly Kelley, a detective for the Cincinnati Police Department told the judge it appears Nyteisha was pregnant with Desean Brown’s child but then had a miscarriage. She said Brown was very upset and thought that Nyteisha killed his baby, so he was going to do something to her baby, Nylo.” (Read more from “WATCH: Father of Murdered 3-Year-Old Boy Attacks Man Accused of Killing His Son During Court Hearing” HERE)

Investigators: Pelosi Responsible for Jan. 6 Security Breakdown at U.S. Capitol

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoulders much of the blame for the security breakdown at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, a preliminary report from Republican investigators Reps. Jim Banks and Rodney Davis determined.

The Capitol Police (USCP) were half-staffed on Jan. 6, Pelosi’s House Sergeant at Arms denied multiple requests for National Guard assistance from the Pentagon and the USCP Chief in the days leading up to Jan. 6, officers were poorly equipped and had insufficient riot shields and helmets, and they were never trained to handle a riot even after the riots of 2020, the investigation shows, according to Banks.

The Republicans’ full report is not slated to be released for a few weeks but Banks and Davis said the hyperpartisan Jan. 6 Committee’s attempt to present a “slanted viewpoint as if it were impartial fact” prompted them to release their findings that “will help Americans understand the extent of the Committee’s misrepresentations and omissions.”

“The Committee has lied and made numerous unsupported and disputed claims that have been thoughtlessly parroted by their media and ‘fact-checking’ allies,” said Banks and Davis.

No Republican-appointed members serve on the committee, and no minority rights have been granted or observed by the committee. Those breaches of House rules have led Administration Committee ranking member Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., to announce there will be an investigation of the J6 Committee itself once Republicans take control of the House, as they are expected to do following the November elections. ROE V. WADE OVERTURNED; This Is the First State to Outlaw Abortion

Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade in Landmark Opinion

By Fox News. The Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively ending recognition of a constitutional right to abortion and giving individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether.

The ruling came in the court’s opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which centered on a Mississippi law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Republican-led state of Mississippi asked the Supreme Court to strike down a lower court ruling that stopped the 15-week abortion ban from taking place.

“We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court’s opinion.

Alito’s opinion began with an exploration and criticism of Roe v. Wade and its holding that while states have “a legitimate interest in protecting ‘potential life,” this interest was not strong enough to prohibit abortions before the time of fetal viability, understood to be at about 23 weeks into pregnancy.

“The Court did not explain the basis for this line, and even abortion supporters have found it hard to defend Roe’s reasoning,” Alito wrote. (Read more from “Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade in Landmark Opinion” HERE)

Missouri Bans All Abortions Minutes After SCOTUS Ruling Overturning Roe

By Newsweek. Minutes after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade Friday morning, Missouri became the first state to invoke a trigger law banning all abortions in the state, except in cases of medical emergency.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt issued an opinion that would trigger parts of a state House bill that outlaws almost all abortions in the state, with no exceptions for rape or incest.

“With this attorney general opinion, my Office has effectively ended abortion in Missouri, becoming the first state in the country to do so following the court’s ruling,” Schmitt said in a press release.
