Biden Has History With US Attorney Tapped to Probe Classified Documents Scandal

U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch will be leading the investigation of classified documents found at the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Biden Center, nearly two years after President Biden nearly fired him.

Lausch has been in office since 2017 when he was appointed by then-President Donald Trump. When Biden took office in early 2021, it was reported that the president had plans to fire him, even though the Senate had confirmed him unanimously. The news of the planned termination drew criticism from both parties, as both Democratic Illinois Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth expressed their dismay.

“While we agree with the Biden Administration’s criminal justice agenda, we are disappointed with the decision to terminate U.S. Attorney Lausch without consulting us,” the two senators from Lausch’s home state said in a joint statement. “In 2017, our non-partisan screening committee gave its support for Mr. Lausch to serve in this position, and the Senate confirmed him unanimously.”

Durbin and Duckworth added that there was precedent for individuals in Lausch’s position to stay in office after a new administration took over “to conclude sensitive investigations.” They urged Biden to at least let Lausch stay on until a replacement was confirmed. World Trade Center Station Evacuated After Pressure Cooker Found on Train; Bomb Squad Dispatched: Reports

The New York Police Department reportedly evacuated the World Trade Center station on Tuesday after a suspicious package was found on one of the trains.

“Due to a police investigation please avoid The Oculus at this time,” the department said at 3:16 p.m. EST.

Revelation 6: Persecution and ‘the Blood of the Martyrs’

During the early years of Christian martyrdom, Christians fled by the thousands into underground caverns outside of Rome. There were nearly 600 miles of molelike tunnels and passageways where they hid.

At least 10 generations of Christians were buried in the catacombs during approximately 300 years of persecution. The number of believers interred in the tunnels is unknown, but some archaeologists have estimated it to be between 1,750,000 and 4,000,000.

Inscriptions of Holy Scripture are still visible on the catacomb walls. Perhaps the most frequent one is the sign of the fish. A particular inscription, however, summarizes what kept them from losing or abandoning their faith. It reads, “The Word of God is not bound.”

Every believer in Christ is deeply indebted to the faithful witness of these Christ followers. As Tertullian said, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.” . . .

According to the 2022 World Watch List (WWL) published by Open Doors International, which has supported persecuted Christians worldwide for over 60 years, nearly 360 million Christians, 1 in 7 globally, suffered discrimination and persecution for their Christian faith. As many as 5,898 were murdered for their profession of Christ — up more than 23% from 2020. More than 5,000 churches were attacked or forced to shut their doors — an increase of 13% during the same period. Moreover, as many as 6,000 Christians were arrested without trial – up by 44% — and 4,000 Christians were kidnapped — up by nearly 124%. Deep State-Pawn Rep. Dan Crenshaw Loses Chairmanship After Calling Anti-McCarthy Gopers ‘Terrorists’

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, one of the House GOP’s most prominent figures, was denied the chairmanship of the chamber’s Homeland Security Committee Monday in favor of a member of the right-wing House Freedom Caucus — days after Crenshaw called opponents of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy “terrorists.”

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), will instead lead the panel that provides oversight over the Department of Homeland Security – and handles issues related to illegal immigration and terrorism.

Crenshaw raised the ire of his colleagues during the prolonged floor fight for speaker last week when he raged against a group of around 20 Freedom Caucus members who withheld their votes from McCarthy until they could extract concessions on the way the 118th Congress was run.

“They are enemies now,” Crenshaw told CNN of the holdouts following a heated closed-door GOP conference meeting Tuesday. “They have made it clear that they prefer a Democrat agenda than a Republican one.”

New Study: This Food Lowers Both Blood Pressure and Cholesterol!

Consuming raw honey from a single floral source may improve blood sugar control and lower cholesterol levels when taken within the context of a healthy diet, according to a recent study published in Nutrition Reviews.

“These results are surprising because honey is about 80% sugar,” said Tauseef Khan, a senior researcher on the study and a research associate in nutritional sciences at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, in a press release. . .

“Honey is a complex composition of sugars (common and rare), organic acids, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and bioactive substances made by honeybees from the nectar of flowers,” the study’s authors noted.

Honey and sugar are both carbohydrates. This means they’re made of glucose and fructose, but each has different nutrient, texture and flavor profiles, Emma Laing, PhD, RDN, told Fox News Digital. . .

Researchers from Toronto conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of 18 clinical trials that included over 1,100 participants to determine the effect of honey on heart and metabolic risk factors, per the study’s press release. Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar to Officially Be Kicked off Intelligence, Foreign Affairs Committees

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy confirmed Monday night that Democratic California Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell will be removed from the House Intelligence Committee and the House will vote on the removal of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee.

In February, McCarthy told the Daily Caller that if he is elected Speaker that he intends to strip Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee and Swalwell and Schiff from the Intelligence Committee. On Monday, McCarthy confirmed to The Associated Press (AP) that he would be moving forward with that decision, saying both Swalwell and Schiff should not have seats on the committee.

McCarthy has said Swalwell’s reported relationship with a Chinese spy and Schiff’s defense of the Steele dossier are some of the reasons they should be removed from the committee. McCarthy has said Omar’s anti-Semitism is a reason she should be removed from Foreign Affairs. (Read more from “Reps. Houston Concealed Carry Holder Who Shot Armed Robber Will Face a Grand Jury

Local news reports were correct that this gentleman did nothing wrong after shooting and killing a would-be-armed robber in self-defense. The man has been hailed a hero for gunning down a criminal who robbed patrons of a local Houston taco establishment. However, the firearm used was fake—the threat of violence and bodily harm was real, which makes this a justifiable homicide.

The concealed carry holder left the scene before police could arrive, prompting Houston police to share an image of the individual. This person has spoken with and is fully cooperating with law enforcement and officials with the Harris County District Attorney’s office. Yet, a grand jury will decide if the man should face criminal charges (via NY Post):

A Texas grand jury will decide whether to criminally charge a Houston taqueria patron who shot a robber dead last week, police said.

The Houston Police Department announced Monday the 46-year-old customer has turned himself in and is cooperating with the investigation into the deadly shooting. He has not been named because he was not arrested or charged with any crime.

Questions About Biden’s Classified Materials Scandal

. . .Given the furor over last year’s classified documents scandal involving former President Trump, and the heavily-covered raid at Trump’s Florida residence, this story amounts to both a legal concern for Biden, as well as an awkward political moment for Trump critics — Biden included — who leaned heavily into that controversy. It’s true that there are meaningful differences between the Trump episode and this emerging issue. But it doesn’t really matter which one might be ‘better’ or ‘worse’ than the other if both involved legally-problematic mishandling of sensitive secrets. Based on current knowledge, the facts in Trump’s case are relatively ‘worse,’ but that has no bearing on potential misconduct or illegal conduct from Biden. On one hand, Trump had far more documents, improperly keeping some even after a protracted battle with the National Archives, which came knocking after noticing missing items. Biden’s team was apparently more proactive and cooperative after learning about their problem — if their account is accurate.

On the other hand, Biden’s classified documents originated during President Obama’s tenure in office, so Biden didn’t have the theoretical ability to have de-classified them himself, as he was Vice President at the time. Trump could have done so with his trove before hauling is to Mar-a-Lago, though there’s no evidence that he actually did. Both men’s sets of improperly-held classified documents were allegedly stored behind a locked door, unprotected by mandated protocols. Some questions:

(1) Biden’s team says the president is unaware of what is contained in the classified documents, didn’t know they were in his office, and did not review them before they were passed to National Archives authorities, who then contacted the Justice Department. If all of that is true, and some skepticism is in order, how did these materials make their way into a closet at Biden’s private office, and who put them there? If they’ve been sitting unsecured for years, who may have had access to them? These are questions that the Chicago-based US Attorney, a Trump appointee, is reportedly looking into.

(2) Between Hillary Clinton’s shameless and deceitful criminality in this realm, and now the revelations about the current and former presidents, one might wonder if any high ranking US officials from a certain generation followed the rules on the handling and storing of classified materials?

(3) If the Biden documents were found on November 2 (and turned over the following morning), nearly a week before the contentious midterm elections, how and why was that discovery suppressed until after the election? Even the New York Times seems curious about that context:

Woman Describes Eerie Tinder Date With Idaho Murder Suspect Bryan Kohberger

Hayley Willette says she had not been closely following the latest developments in the case of the four University of Idaho students who were murdered inside their campus home when she came across a news article last week about the grisly crime.

As Willette was reading the story in a small Pennsylvania news outlet, detailing the scene where Bryan Kohberger had been arrested on Dec. 30, the 26-year-old OB/GYN nurse stumbled upon the suspect’s mugshot. That’s when she says she realized that Kohberger was the same man she went on an uncomfortable December 2015 Tinder date with when she was in college. . .

Willette said that after matching on Tinder, the pair went to go see an action movie before Kohberger drove her back to her dorm at Penn State Hazleton. Once back on campus and briefly talking inside his car, she said, Kohberger “started being really pushy about coming” into her room to watch another movie. She said that while she initially agreed, she later pretended to “loudly throw up” in the bathroom before Kohberger—who she said was waiting for her outside the bathroom door—left.

“After an hour or so of him being gone, he messaged me and said I had good birthing hips and I just never messaged back,” she added.

Willette first detailed her story about a strange date with one of the most notorious murder suspects in America in a series of TikToks beginning on Sunday evening. Parents Say Their Kids Were Brainwashed at School, Seek Deprogrammers

Beth Pensky, a 54-year-old single mother from New Jersey who now lives in Florida, never tells anyone that she’s estranged from her only son and daughter.

“I lie all the time,” said Pensky, who told The Post her kids have rejected her because they’re “woke” and she is not. “I can’t tell anyone I don’t have a relationship with them. I had so much shame about it. It looks awful for me and makes me feel terrible so I lie.”

But her attitude changed when she — and a number of other mothers — read a Post story in November about Annabella Rockwell, a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College who claimed she’d been “totally indoctrinated” into hard-left ideologies at the school and had to be deprogrammed.

“I saw Annabella’s story and my life turned upside down,” Pensky said. “I realized I wasn’t alone and I saw what happened to her was similar to what I think happened to my kids. I never even considered trying to find a deprogrammer. I didn’t know they existed. But I think it’s too late for me and my kids. They won’t even talk to me.” . . .

“The emotional stress is unbelievable,” said the mother, who did not want to be publicly identified. “I consider myself a Democrat and a liberal but it doesn’t matter. I’ve had fights with some of my girls just because I wouldn’t get myself a Rainbow pride Starbucks cup. The cup itself became this huge battleground.
