Number of Independents Who Say They Are Worse off Under Biden More Than Triples

Former President Trump would beat President Joe Biden by three points in the popular vote in a 2024 rematch if the election were held today, ABC News reported Sunday on Langer Research Associates’ polling.

“If [Donald Trump and President Biden] were the choices and the election were today, the poll suggests [48% of registered voters would choose Trump and 45% would choose Biden.]”

ABC News describes the difference as “small” and notes the figures are within the poll’s margin of error.

Presidents, of course, are not elected directly by popular vote. Rather, presidents and vice presidents are chosen by electors in a process called the Electoral College.
