Cause of Death for Young ABC News Producer Revealed

Officials on Wednesday confirmed the cause of death of Dax Tejera, the late executive producer of ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner determined 37-year-old Tejera choked to death while intoxicated, reporting he suffered from “asphyxia due to obstruction of airway by food bolus complicating acute alcohol intoxication,” on the evening of Dec. 23, according to People Magazine. A memo released by ABC News President Kimberly Godwin previously attributed a heart attack as the cause of Tejera’s death.

Tejera is survived by his wife, Veronica, and their two daughters: 2-year-old Sofia and 7-month-old Ella.

The night of his death, authorities were notified about unattended children present at a hotel near Grand Central Station in New York City, where Tejera and his wife were staying, Entertainment Tonight (ET) reported. Employees Fired For Refusing COVID Vaccine Labeled With ‘Problem Codes’ That Were Sent To FBI, Legal Group Says

Many employees fired for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine for religious reasons will not be able to get rehired due to being assigned a “problem code” by the New York City Department of Education (DOE), a code that is also sent to the FBI, according to oral arguments made Wednesday by Alliance Defending Freedom in the case of New Yorkers for Religious Liberty v. the City of New York.

Mayor Eric Adams announced that New York City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for city employees will end on Feb. 10 after thousands of workers were fired for declining to adhere to the rule, but stated that those workers would now be able to reapply for their positions. Alliance for Defending Freedom (ADF), a legal firm focused on protecting the First Amendment rights of Americans, pointed out during oral arguments that many former employees would not be able to get their jobs back because the DOE had marked workers who refused to comply with the mandate with a “problem code” that is also tied to their fingerprints and sent to the FBI.

John Bursch, attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the mayor’s claim about fired employees getting rehired was ” just not true in every case.”

“Even for those who are eligible for reinstatement, when they apply they’ve all got so-called ‘problem codes’ in their personal file because they purportedly failed to fulfill a contractual condition, which was to get vaccinated,” Bursch said. “What is really horrible about that is not only does it affect their ability to get rehired by the state of New York, it affects their ability to go to any other employer because that ‘problem code’ note is paired with their fingerprints as a warning flag and sent to the FBI and the New York criminal justice services.” (Read more from “Employees Fired for Refusing COVID Vaccine Labeled With ‘Problem Codes’ That Were Sent to FBI, Legal Group Says” HERE)

‘It’s Hard No Matter What’: Christian Actress Says Cancel Culture Can’t Force Her to Back Down

Great American Family actress Candace Cameron Bure made it clear that she’s not going to let cancel culture influence her choices, saying that while she realized facing backlash for her personal views could be “difficult,” it was nothing compared to what Christians faced in other countries.

Bure joined Wednesday’s episode of the “Unapologetic with Julia Jeffress Sadler” podcast, and she addressed the fact that critics routinely attack her for voicing her conservative Christian views — particularly in the film business.

“Cancel culture is real, and it’s difficult, and it’s hard,” she said, but she immediately pivoted to point out the fact that people outside the United States faced a much more difficult situation if they wanted to preach the Gospel.

“I know there’s all the places in the world, all different countries, where people get severely persecuted for their faith. I feel like we’ve had this cushion here in North America where someone yells at us or someone says a mean, negative thing and our feelings get so hurt over it,” she said, adding, “And that isn’t nearly the persecution that other people go through from being a Christian in other countries.”

Bure went on to say that she did not intend to allow critics to change her, arguing that it was even more important for Christians to stand up and stand firm in their beliefs when they were faced with backlash. Report: Lia Thomas Exposed ‘Male Genitalia’ in Locker Room Following Swim Meet

Riley Gaines, a former 12-time All-American and SEC champion swimmer for Kentucky, says that transgender swimmer Lia Thomas “dropped his Pants” and exposed “male genitalia” in the women’s locker room following swim meets.

Recalling her uneasiness after being forced to change in front of a man, Gaines told Fox News she wants the NCAA to establish separate locker rooms and changing areas for transgender athletes.

“We were not forewarned beforehand that we would be sharing a locker room with Lia,” Gaines explained. “We did not give our consent, they did not ask for our consent, but in that locker room, we turned around, and there’s a 6’4″ biological man dropping his pants and watching us undress, and we were exposed to male genitalia.”

Gaines continued, “That, to me, was worse than the competition piece. Not even probably a year, two years ago, this would have been considered some form of sexual assault, voyeurism. But now, not even are they just allowing it to happen, it’s almost as if these large organizations are encouraging it to happen.”

Gaines went further by adding that by nominating Thomas for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award, the organization was playing an active role in encouraging played an active role in encouraging other male athletes to identify as women and subject female athletes to unfair and awkward circumstances. Oversight Committee Demands Biden Family Members Deliver Bank Docs, Leases, Classified Materials

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) on Thursday issued a letter demanding Biden family members deliver troves of documents and communications relevant to his probe into the Biden family for wire fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering, along with six other potential violations.

The letters, sent to Hunter and James Biden, along with the family’s business partner Eric Schwerin, requested a host of both classified and unclassified documents, records, and communications between business associates and family members, including President Joe Biden.

“Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Eric Schwerin are key witnesses in our investigation of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s international and domestic business schemes,” Comer wrote in a statement. “Evidence obtained in our investigation reveals the Biden family business model is built on Joe Biden’s political career and connections.”

Comer noted the Biden family business model included peddling influence to foreign adversaries while Joe Biden was a U.S. official, which he designated as a national security threat. Meltdown: UK’s Government-Run Healthcare Service Faltering Under Crisis Conditions

. . .We’ve covered these impacts in countries like Canada and the UK previously, but a new Wall Street Journal report further spotlights a worsening healthcare crisis in the latter nation:

[Britain’s] state-funded service is falling apart. People who suffer heart attacks or strokes wait more than 1½ hours on average for an ambulance. Hospitals are so full they are turning patients away. A record 7.1 million people in England—more than one in 10 people—are stuck on waiting lists for nonemergency hospital treatment like hip replacements. The NHS on Monday faced the biggest strike in its history, with thousands of paramedics and nurses walking out over pay. The NHS’s woes are an extreme example of issues playing out across the developed world. Healthcare systems, hit hard by Covid, are under pressure as people live longer and have a wider range of treatment options. Aging populations mean costs will keep growing. The U.K.’s experience is a warning of what happens when supply in healthcare provision can’t keep up with demand.

The NHS has lost thousands of hospital beds in the past decade in its drive for efficiency. Covid delayed treatments for patients, resulting in a vast waiting list. Hospitals in England were already at 98% capacity in December when the brutal flu season began to take hold. The mass of sick patients gummed up the system to devastating effect. Delays in treating people are causing the premature deaths of 300 to 500 people a week, according to estimates from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, a professional association in London. One in five British people were waiting for a medical appointment or treatment by the NHS in December, according to the U.K. Office for National Statistics (ONS)…Fixing the service will take time, said NHS chief executive Amanda Pritchard. The NHS said that over the next year it aims to cut the average time a heart attack sufferer waits for an ambulance to 30 minutes.

The targeted, aspirational improvement would be an ambulance waiting time of half an hour for someone having a heart attack. An estimated 300-500 excess/premature deaths per week under the foundering NHS, which the Brits treat as something of a national religion. ‘Morally and Medically Appalling’: Gender Clinic Case Manager Blows the Whistle on ‘Permanent Harm’ Done to Kids

By Daily Wire. A former case manager at a Missouri pediatric transgender clinic is blowing the whistle on the “morally and medically appalling” treatment resulting in “permanent harm” done to children.

Jamie Reed, a self-described “queer” leftist woman married to a transgender man, worked as a case manager handling intake of patients at the Pediatric Transgender Center at Washington University School of Medicine at St. Louis Children’s Hospital for more than four years. In an exposé for The Free Press, Reed confirmed all of the fears that have been raised in recent years about the fast-tracking of children into irreversible medical treatments. . .

Reed detailed examples of negative physical and psychological effects experienced by patients, such as liver toxicity, vaginal laceration, and clitoral enlargement, and warned of the risk for long-term health problems from hormonal treatment like blood pressure issues, sleep apnea, and diabetes.

“But clinics like the one where I worked are creating a whole cohort of kids with atypical genitals—and most of these teens haven’t even had sex yet,” said Reed. “They had no idea who they were going to be as adults. Yet all it took for them to permanently transform themselves was one or two short conversations with a therapist.”

In 2019, Reed also become aware of an increasing number of minors who regretted their medical transition, called detransitioners. She and a colleague tried to bring attention to the issue and track the data but were met with resistance from doctors. Despite this, the author and colleague created the “Red Flag” list to track these patients. Americans Didn’t Tune In for State of the Union Address

Tuesday’s State of the Union address sure has gotten attention for the ways in which some Republican members reacted to President Joe Biden’s lies, but among the chatter, it’s worth wondering if people actually tuned in for the address?

Not really, it turns out, given that just 27.3 million people watched, according to data from Nielsen across 16 networks. That’s a decline of 29 percent, as is mentioned in Deadline’s headline. The Hill mentioned in their headline that the ratings took “a nosedive.”

Those ratings look even worse when compared to previous years, and the lack of viewers in the demographics that Biden needs support from. As Deadline mentioned:

That figure is the lowest audience for a SOTU in at least 30 years, according to Nielsen records. Biden’s 2021 speech to a joint session of Congress drew 26.9 million, but that event, coming just a couple months into his presidency, was not an official State of the Union speech.

The Nielsen figures were measurements of 16 TV networks. Last year, 38.2 million watched across 16 networks.

FBI Internal Memo Warns Against ‘Radical Traditionalist Catholic Ideology’

The FBI’s Richmond field office released an internal memo last month warning against “radical traditionalist Catholic ideology,” and claiming it “almost certainly presents new mitigation opportunities,” according to a document shared by an FBI whistleblower on Wednesday.

Kyle Seraphin, who was a special agent at the bureau for six years before he was indefinitely suspended without pay in June 2022, published the document, “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities,” on UncoverDC.com.

“In making this assessment, FBI Richmond relied on the key assumption that [racially or ethnically motivated extremists] will continue to find [radical-traditionalist Catholic or RTC] ideology attractive and will continue to attempt to connect with RTC adherents, both virtually via social media and in-person at places of worship,” the document from January 23 states.

It adds that “RTCs are typically categorized by the rejection of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) as a valid church council; disdain for most of the popes elected since Vatican II, particularly Pope Francis and Pope John Paul II; and frequent adherence to anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology. Radical-traditionalist Catholics compose a small minority of overall Roman Catholic adherents and are separate and distinct from ‘traditionalist Catholics’ who prefer the Traditional Latin Mass and pre-Vatican II teachings and traditions, without the more extremist ideological beliefs and violent rhetoric.” . . .

The report relied upon information from the Southern Poverty Law Center, a legal-advocacy organization that has come under fire for including conservative nonprofits like the Alliance Defending Freedom and the American College of Pediatricians on its list of “hate groups” alongside groups like the Ku Klux Klan and the Nation of Islam.
