Pence: Trump Indictment ‘Not an Expression of Equal Treatment Under the Law’ (VIDEO)

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World” that the reports former President Donald Trump will be indicted in the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal probe into a 2016 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels was “not equal treatment under the law.”

Pence said, “The unprecedented indictment of a former president of the United States on a campaign finance issue is outrageous. The details that will follow will not change that fact. And I think millions of Americans looking on see this for what it is. It’s a political prosecution by a Manhattan DA who literally campaigned for office on a pledge to indict the former president. The Attorney General of New York campaigned for office on a pledge to go after that same American. And this is not — this is not an expression of equal treatment under the law that every American deserves. And I think that’s why the American people aren’t having any of it.”

Alec Baldwin Slammed for Gun Control Post After Nashville Shooting: ‘Read the Room’

Alec Baldwin, charged with involuntary manslaughter in the 2021 death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, is facing criticism online after posting about gun control.

The actor, 64, shared a screenshot of a viral tweet from musician Peter Frampton following the shooting at Covenant School in Nashville this week, in which six victims and the shooter were killed.

“26 years ago, a gunman entered Dunblane Primary School in Scotland, killing 16 kids and a teacher,” the tweet read. “The UK govt responded by enacting tight gun control legislation. In the 9400+ days since, there have been a total of 0 school shootings in the UK.”

Baldwin reposted the tweet on Instagram without a caption, seemingly in support of gun control measures, but it prompted blowback from some in light of the actor’s ongoing legal troubles.

“Read the room Alec. You are unbelievable,” someone wrote.

China War Preparations Go Into Overdrive

It is surely time to get real. A conflict is now brewing in Asia as a revanchist China – led by its Communist Party (CCP) – seems fully committed to unite with the island democracy of Taiwan, separated from the mainland by just over 100 miles of water. The CCP cannot realistically back down, having marched its people all the way to the top of the hill, the loss of face of marching them all the way back down would be excruciating.

For those who think the Russo-Ukraine war will have put the CCP off, consider not only that the West has thrown the kitchen sink at that conflict – able to hold Russia back but also now having run down many of its own inventories – but Chinese state media has never stopped telling the Chinese people that Russia is both justified and victorious, adding yet more pressure on Beijing to make a move on Taiwan.

Yes, the CCP wants to eliminate the embarrassment of a Han Chinese democracy on its doorstep. Yes, it wants to ‘make China whole again’.

Yes, it wants to get hold of Taiwan’s all-important semiconductor industry, especially after the US semiconductor export ban on China (although how much countries would cooperate with a CCP-controlled Taiwan electronics sector is up for debate).

But the biggest driver is to dominate the deep waters of the Pacific. Put simply, China cannot possibly have peer competitor status with the US – something the CCP desperately wants and needs – without dominating its own maritime backyard, and the sea lanes upon which US allies like Japan depend. “This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history,” Trump wrote in a lengthy statement.

He explained that the “Radical Left Democrats,” which he also referred to as “the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country,” have been engaged in a “witch-hunt” against him since before he became president — identifying the moment as when he first came down the elevator to announce his candidacy.

“You remember it just like I do: Russia, Russia, Russia; the Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; the illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this,” Trump added, while also acknowledging that the indictment of a former president has never been done before in the history of the United States. . .

The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable – indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference.

Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done. The Democrats have cheated countless times over the decades, including spying on my campaign, but weaponizing our justice system to punish a political opponent, who just so happens to be a President of the United States and by far the leading Republican candidate for President, has never happened before. Ron DeSantis Says He Will Refuse Any Extradition Request After Trump Indictment: ‘Questionable Circumstances’

Ron DeSantis said his state “will not assist” in any extradition request by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg amid what he called “questionable circumstances” while slamming the charges against former President Donald Trump as “un-American” and as a “weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda.”

The former president and 2024 Republican presidential candidate was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on Thursday after a years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

“The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head,” DeSantis tweeted Thursday. “It is un-American.”

“The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct,” he continued. “Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent.”

J.K. Rowling Declares Gender Changes for Kids ‘One of the Worst Medical Scandals in a Century’

Enabling children in attempting to change their gender will be seen as “one of the worst medical scandals in a century,” Harry Potter author and ardent feminist J.K. Rowling said this week.

Rowling, 57, who was once hailed as a feminist hero by the left — particularly because she wrote the first of the Harry Potter books while on unemployment benefit, which has been used as an argument for state handouts and even universal basic income ever since — before becoming an object of disdain over her rejection of modern transgender ideology, has once again called out the medical establishment and the woke left for pushing novel theories surrounding gender on young children.

Speaking on The Free Press’ podcast The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling, the acclaimed children’s author said: “We are watching one of the worst medical scandals in a century. Those that should have known better — the medics and those who have unquestionably cheered this on — are creating a climate in which those trying to raise red flags have been intimidated and silenced.”

“We’re dealing with children, in my view, being persuaded that a solution for all distress is lifelong medicalization. That is real-world harm. There’s no closing the book and walking away. There’s no playing with this, experimenting with this and not suffering harm, in my view… I certainly hope that for adults who have found no other way to resolve their gender dysphoria, transition may be the answer,” she added in comments reported by Fox News.

“I want to see those people protected. I want their rights protected. I wish them lives full of joy and fulfilment. Xi World Order: China, Brazil Strike Deal to Ditch Dollar for Trade

The governments of Brazil, now under the leadership of radical leftist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and communist China announced an agreement on Wednesday to no longer use the U.S. dollar to conduct trade, instead relying on the Chinese yuan and Brazilian real.

China is Brazil’s largest trade partner, meaning the deal will significant decrease Brazil’s use of the dollar generally. The deal is one of several between the two countries planned to be announced this week, when Lula was expected to travel to Beijing for meetings with dictator Xi Jinping. Lula, 77, was forced to cancel his travels after being diagnosed with influenza-induced pneumonia this week.

The move follows aggressive efforts in the past five years by China to limit the influence of the U.S. dollar and slowly convince the world to use commerce using the yuan. Beijing has long counted on Brazil as an ally and friend – and fellow member of the BRICS economic and political coalition, whose members have pushed for the eradication of the dollar in global trade – even through the tepid relations with conservative former President Jair Bolsonaro. Towards the end of his term last year, Bolsonaro administration officials stated they had a “great interest” joining China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global debt trap plan to erode poorer nations’ sovereignties through predatory loans meant for infrastructure development.

According to the Brazilian news outlet G1, China and Brazil will create a “clearing house” mechanism with the power of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to rapidly exchange reals into yuan and vice versa, eliminating the need for the dollar. Currently, any trade between Chinese and Brazilian businesses, including loans and purchases, requires each side to convert their national currency into dollars to send to the other side. G1 noted, citing Lula administration officials, that China has already established similar “clearing houses” in Chile and Argentina, countries that have officially joined the Belt and Road Initiative. California’s reparations task force has descended into chaos as activists blasted music and aired wild accusations – a day after it was revealed they want $800 billion.

Among the first people to speak was Reggie Romain who blared James Brown’s I’m Black & I’m Proud through his phone and down the microphone.

Romain, as well as members of the audience, danced to the 1968 track and after cutting the song short promoted his social media channels before sitting down.

Later, a San Francisco-based activist at the podium described the US as a country ‘born in the name of evil’ and said: ‘Evil cannot give justice.’ She went on scream at the committee members: ‘We ask you for nothing. It’s ours!’

The second-day began amid controversy over the absence of senior committee member Rev. Amos Brown, who is in West Africa, as part of Kamala Harris’ official trip to the continent. On Thursday, one activist demanded that Brown ‘should stay in Africa.’

Leftwing Author Claims Ordinary Conservatives are “Ready for Executions”

Author Jeff Sharlet has spent years interviewing conservatives and found many unassuming Americans are ready and eager for violence against their political enemies.

Sharlet’s latest book, The Undertow: Scenes from a Slow Civil War, is the result of more than a dozen years of reporting on the religious right, compiling numerous interviews conducted throughout the Midwest and Great Plains, and he’s more worried than ever about the possibility of civil war, reported The Guardian.

“I’ve been writing about the right for a long time,” he told the newspaper. “I’m always interested in the margins of things that tell us about what’s happening at the center. An undertow is a metaphor for that, for the force that’s been pulling us to this place for a long time. If you’d asked me 10 years ago if I ever thought another civil war would be possible in the United States, I would have said no. But to think so [now] is to not understand that the right in America is as dangerous as it is.”

He cited a “nice-looking” family he met near Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who seemed like “ordinary” conservatives, as the newspaper described them, but harbored bloodthirsty fantasies rooted in extreme conservative politics. Transgender School Shooter ‘Was Hunting Pastor Who Was Counseling Her’

The Nashville school shooter, Audrey Hale, was reportedly hunting down the pastor she was receiving counseling from but instead killed his daughter when she could not find him.

Hale, 28, had been having private sessions with Pastor Chad Scruggs before she embarked on a shooting spree at the Covenant school, according to former pastor Jim Bachmann.

Pastor Scrugg’s nine-year-old daughter Hallie was shot dead along with two other children and three staff members during the attack.

Mr Bachmann told InsideEdition that Hale “appeared to be searching the school” for Pastor Scruggs. . .

Dem Congresswoman Says This Is the Real Purpose of the Second Amendment

Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) claimed the vast majority of Americans, including the majority of gun owners, want “common sense” gun control laws to prevent things like the recent shooting in Nashville, Tennessee because the Second Amendment allows for activities like trap shooting.

“There are extremes that we’re talking about. This is about common sense reforms. Like the majority of Americans, including many responsible gun-owners like myself, we can have the Second Amendment that allowed me last weekend to go trap shooting and we can take away assault weapons of war from our streets in America,” she said.
