Four-Month-Old Girl Dies After Staying at Migrant Hotel

A 4-month-old girl of an illegal immigrant family died Thursday after authorities found her unconscious at a midtown Manhattan hotel being used to house migrants.

The New York City Police Department responded to the Stewart Hotel around 7:30 a.m. and discovered the infant was not breathing, according to a report.

She was the daughter of immigrants from Ecuador and was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.

The death showed no signs of mistreatment, and foul play is not suspected, authorities said.
