Despite Trump Orders, Juvenile Prisons Still Have To House ‘Trans’ Men With Young Girls

President Donald Trump has made it a priority to keep men out of women’s sports, bathrooms, and other sex-specific spaces. But thanks to little-known Obama-era regulations, states could be required to house boys in all-girl youth prisons.

Currently, states are barred from imprisoning juvenile inmates on the basis of sex. That means a 17-year-old boy who claims to be “transgender” could be locked up alongside an 11-year-old girl. States that don’t comply with these mandates risk losing crucial federal funding, making even deep-red states comply with the guidance.

Advocates tell The Daily Wire that Trump’s executive orders protecting women’s spaces may not automatically negate these rules. Unless amended, the federal code will continue to force youth prisons to consider housing transgender-identifying males alongside girls, raising serious concerns about their safety.

Amie Ichikawa, a woman who spent nearly five years in a California prison and now advocates to keep males out of female prisons, told The Daily Wire it was “disturbing” that juvenile facilities are blocked from making housing decisions on the basis of sex. She believes it’s even more dangerous than mixing genders in adult prisons.

“Kids in juvenile are extremely vulnerable, and to add mixed sex housing into it, that’s creating a totally unnecessary hurdle to have to jump over,” she said. “It’s setting them up for failure, and it’s just robbing them of any kind of normalcy or ability to focus on healing.” (Read more from “Despite Trump Orders, Juvenile Prisons Still Have To House ‘Trans’ Men With Young Girls” HERE)

How Much Chicken You’d Have to Eat a Week to Increase Your Risk of Dying by 27% — It’s a Lot Less Than You Think

. . .Chicken has long been lauded as a healthy alternative to red and processed meats, which have been linked to diabetes, heart disease, and several cancers.

But a new study has found a clucking scary link between chicken consumption, overall mortality, and gastrointestinal cancer — and you don’t have to eat that much to experience negative effects.

In 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO)’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) declared that red meat — such as beef, veal, pork, lamb, mutton, horse, and goat — is “probably carcinogenic to humans,” while poultry was left off the table as a risk factor.

The Dietary Guidelines for Americans defines chicken as a “noble food” because it is high in protein and lower in fat than other animal meats. The DGA suggests a standard poultry portion of 100 g and recommends eating it one to three times per week.

However, Italian researchers recently found that people who eat more than 300 grams of chicken per week, or just under four servings, are 27% more likely to die from any cause than those who eat less than 100 grams (a little over one serving). Illegal Alien Charged in Maryland Girlfriend’s Murder, Uncle Charged as Accessory

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers arrested a Guatemalan illegal alien after he allegedly murdered his Guatemalan girlfriend in Maryland. Officers also arrested the man’s uncle as an alleged accessory to murder after the fact.

Police officials in Charles County, Maryland, allege that Keycy Robinson Alexis Barrera-Rosa, 23, murdered his girlfriend, Guatemalan migrant Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, and buried her body in the Cedarville State Forest on April 17, the New York Post reported. Barrera-Rosa’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Barrera-Barrera, 37, also an illegal alien from Guatemala, allegedly helped bury the girl’s body.

ERO officers eventually arrested Barrera-Rosa and are holding him at the ICE Farmville Detention Center in Farmville, Virginia, according to ICE officials.

ICE officials say Barrera-Barrera and Barrera-Rosa entered the U.S. illegally near El Paso, Texas, on April 10, 2019. The two Guatemalan men were released with a Notice to Appear before a DOJ immigration judge. Barrera-Rosa reported Ramirez missing to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office in March, officials stated. City Councilman at Public Meeting Dares Foes to ‘Make Me Step Down’ After Drunk Driving Charge: ‘I Love a Good F**king Fight’

A Highland Park, Michigan, city councilman threw down in a big way during a public meeting Tuesday night, issuing four-letter words during a two-minute rant and daring his foes to “make me step down” following a drunk driving charge against him earlier this month.

Khursheed Ash-Shafii was arrested April 7 after refusing to take a breathalyzer test at the scene of a crash he was involved in, WJBK-TV reported, adding that officers suspected he had been drunk while driving.

When police arrived, Ash-Shafii told officers he didn’t have vehicle insurance or registration, the station said, adding that bodycam video shows officers telling Ash-Shafii that if he refuses to take the breathalyzer test, a $200 civil infraction will result.

A police report notes that officers smelled alcohol before finding an open bottle of liquor in Ash-Shafii’s vehicle, WJBK said, and that he became aggressive toward police while being taken to a hospital. He later complied with officer’s orders and was taken to the Highland Park jail.

Ash-Shafii faces four charges: resisting an officer, obstructing police, operating while under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license, the station said. Fed-up Trump Blasts Putin After Russia’s Deadly Attack on Ukraine, Hampering Peace Talks: ‘Vladimir, Stop!’

President Trump blasted Vladimir Putin on Thursday and urged the Russian president to “STOP!” after Moscow launched its deadliest attack on Ukraine in almost a year overnight.

“I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV,” Trump raged in a Truth Social post.

“Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!”

His rare criticism of Putin came soon after Russia struck Kyiv with an hours-long barrage of missiles and drones — killing at least nine and wounding more than 70.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky branded the attack, which is the deadliest there since last July, as “one of the most outrageous.”

He appeared to take a swipe at the White House, too, as the Trump administration continues to push peace efforts to end the three-year war. (Read more from “Fed-up Trump Blasts Putin After Russia’s Deadly Attack on Ukraine, Hampering Peace Talks: ‘Vladimir, Stop!’” HERE)

Tulsi Gabbard Targets ‘Deep-State’ Intelligence Leakers With Criminal Referrals

On Wednesday, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced that she recommended charges related to a pair of leaks.

“Politicization of our intelligence and leaking classified information puts our nation’s security at risk and must end. Those who leak classified information will be found and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” Gabbard said in a post on X.

“Today, I referred two intelligence community LEAKS to the Department of Justice for criminal referral, with a third criminal referral on its way, which includes the recent illegal leak to the Washington Post,” she added.

Gabbard was alluding to a disclosure on Iran and Israel to The Washington Post, which she referenced in March when announcing her inquiry into various leaks to the media.

The post did not disclose any further information, including who may have been the subject of the referrals. It remains to been seen whether the Department of Justice (DOJ) and its FBI look into the matter and decide whether charges are warranted. Navy Scraps Biden-Era ‘Climate Action’ Plan, Returns Focus To Warfighting

The U.S. Navy officially scrapped a Biden-era “climate action” plan for the force on Tuesday, signifying the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to refocus the military towards warfighting.

“Today, I’m focusing on the warfighters first, and I’m rescinding the Biden administration’s climate action program. Our focus needs to be on lethality and our warfighters,” Navy Secretary John Phelan announced in a video message.

Released in May 2022, the Climate Action 2030 program contained a series of actions and goals the Department of the Navy (DON) has taken or planned to undertake to tackle what Biden Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro characterized as the “urgency of the climate crisis.” In the document’s opening foreword, Del Toro claimed the Navy and Marine Corps “are in the crosshairs of the climate crisis,” and that “[c]limate change is one of the most destabilizing forces of our time, exacerbating other national security concerns and posing serious readiness challenges.”

The action plan identified two “performance goals,” one of which included the DON’s stated aim of reducing “greenhouse gas emissions and draw[ing] greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere to stabilize ecosystems, and achieve, as an enterprise, [President Biden’s] commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, as well as other targets.” (Read more from “Navy Scraps Biden-Era ‘Climate Action’ Plan, Returns Focus To Warfighting” HERE)

The Media Have A New Conspiracy Theory About Trump’s Interior Decorating

Trump critics often engage in what Federalist contributor Inez Stepman calls the “Hitler also ate breakfast” fallacy: pointing out some tertiary or non-evil habit of Adolf Hitler’s like driving in a car or having an affinity for tariffs, and drawing a comparison to Trump, as if any mundane activity in which Hitler ever engaged is necessarily and permanently fascist-coded. In a 1,700-word thinkpiece published Wednesday, Washington Post opinion columnist Carolina Miranda used that blueprint to draw parallels between President Donald Trump and a new historical villain — the famously absolutist King Louis XIV of France — based on similarities in their interior decorating taste.

If you look at the maximalist gold accents with which Trump has appointed the Oval Office, “the sparkle conveys something more insidious about how Trump views himself,” Miranda writes. “Behold the new Sun King, a wannabe emperor who views his powers as absolute.”

Sure, Jan. Trump’s affinity for flashy, theatrical decor is only breaking news if you’ve been living under a rock since the last century. And he’s hardly the first successful American businessman to develop a taste for extravagant digs.

Miranda argues that Trump’s penchant for Rococo design reflects “an aesthetic that connotes absolute rule” and says “Trump’s gilded gewgaws” are “intimately connected” with “our growing authoritarian state.” Personally, I thought it was pretty authoritarian for the Biden administration to censor Americans’ speech online, round up pro-lifers in armed raids, and brand parents with the language of “domestic terrorism” for raising concerns at school board meetings. But Biden’s taste is more New England elitist than Palm Beach, so I guess that makes it OK?

Miranda even compares Trump’s deportation of illegally present aliens and suspected gang members to Louis XIV throwing Frenchmen into the Bastille. Because the expulsion of foreign lawbreakers, not the Biden administration’s actual attempt to imprison its political opposition, is obviously the most analogous example to draw from here!

Tim Walz Official Who Caused $21,000 In Damages To Teslas Will Face No Charges: Prosecutor

By Daily Caller. An employee in Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s administration will pay the owners of Tesla vehicles that police say he vandalized to avoid criminal charges, an attorney and prosecutor’s office announced Monday.

The office of Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said it will pursue “pre-charge diversion” instead of felony charges against Dylan Adams, a fiscal policy analyst for Walz’s Department of Human Services, Fox 9 reported. Video footage shared by police appeared to show Adams keying six Tesla vehicles around town, marking a trend of attacks stemming from outrage against Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s politics, Minneapolis police said Thursday.

Minneapolis Police on Thursday claimed that Adams caused more than $21,000 in damages to the Teslas. Moriarty’s office warned that “criminal prosecution remains a possibility should [Adams’s] unlawful behavior continue.”

“Our main priorities are to secure restitution for the victims and hold Mr. Adams accountable,” the attorney’s office told Fox 9. The statement said pre-charge diversion “is an approach taken in many property crime cases and helps to ensure the individual keeps their job and can pay restitution, as well as reducing the likelihood of repeat offenses.” (Read more from “Tim Walz Official Who Caused $21,000 In Damages To Teslas Will Face No Charges: Prosecutor” HERE)

By Patrick Reilly. A progressive district attorney has declined to charge the state employee in Tim Walz-led Minnesota who was allegedly caught causing $20,000 damage by vandalizing half a dozen Teslas — a decision the local police chief ripped as the latest betrayal of victims.

The suspected vandal, 33-year-old Minnesota government employee Dylan Bryan Adams, was allegedly spotted keying the vehicles and stripping their paint off while out walking his dog around the city.

Despite what police believe to be evidence of Adams committing felonies, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty will seek diversion rather than criminal charges.

“This is an approach taken in many property crime cases and helps to ensure the individual keeps their job and can pay restitution, as well as reducing the likelihood of repeat offenses,” the attorney’s office said in a statement, CBS News reported.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said at the time of the incident that the damage in each case was the equivalent of a felony. The chief said in a scathing statement on Monday that Moriarty’s decision not to bring charges is frustrating for his officers and the public. (Read more about this Tim Walz official HERE)

Trump Signals Step Back On China Tariffs, Says They’ll ‘Come Down Substantially’

President Donald Trump signaled Tuesday evening from the Oval Office that the U.S. will ease tariffs on China, saying they’ll “come down substantially” but won’t be eliminated entirely.

On April 2, Trump announced reciprocal tariffs on several countries, with higher rates for nations like China due to their own trade barriers against the U.S. When asked Tuesday about the tariffs against the foreign country, Trump said that the 145% hit would not last forever.

“It’ll come down substantially, but it won’t be zero. It used to be zero,” Trump said. “We were just destroyed. China was taking us for a ride and just not going to — it’s not going to happen. We’re going to be very good to China. I have a great relationship with President Xi, but they would make billions and billions and billions of dollars a year, and they were building a military out of the United States on what they made.”

By April 10, the White House said that Trump’s announced 125% tariff would actually total 145% on all Chinese imports, according to The New York Times. The administration said the 125% would be added on top of a previously announced 20% tariff already in place on goods from China, the outlet reported.

“So that won’t happen. But they’re going to do very well, and I think they’re going to be happy, and I think we’re going to live together very happily and ideally work together. So I think it’s going to work out very well, but, no, it’s at 145%. It will not be anywhere near that number,” Trump said.
