Toddler Who Lost Both Parents in Highland Park Shooting Was Found Under Dad’s Body

The slain victims of Monday’s Highland Park parade massacre include a married couple in their 30s who left behind a 2-year-old son – who’d been found under his dead father during the mayhem.

Irina McCarthy, 35, and her husband Kevin McCarthy, 37, were at the parade with their toddler Aiden when a gunman disguised in women’s clothing opened fire on the Fourth of July celebration, turning the typically joyous event into a blood-soaked nightmare, officials said.

The couple were among seven innocent people shot dead during the mayhem.

Their son was discovered under the body of his mortally wounded father by a fleeing passer-by, according to the Daily Beast.

NATO Gets a Big New Border With Russia in Major Expansion

Sweden and Finland took another step toward joining NATO on Tuesday after the 30-country alliance formally signed off on their membership bids and set the stage to bring the long-neutral Nordic nations into the fold within a matter of months.

NATO’s rapid decision to welcome two more members — a move driven by Moscow’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in February and fears that war could spread throughout Europe — also carries a host of unanswered questions, including the financial tab that the U.S. will be expected to pick up to secure Finland’s 833-mile border with Russia. It’s also not clear when or whether Finland or Sweden would contribute troops to missions outside their borders as part of a forward-deployed NATO force in Poland, the Baltics or other areas at greatest risk of a Russian attack.

Those questions will be debated in the capitals of NATO nations over the coming weeks. All 30 countries must formally sign off on the membership approval process, though that is expected to be little more than a formality for the vast majority of countries. Denmark and Canada reportedly endorsed the moves on Tuesday, just hours after NATO offered its stamp of approval in Brussels.

The expansion effort could hit a roadblock with Turkey, which has misgivings about Sweden’s and Finland’s commitments to crack down on Kurdish rebel groups that Ankara considers to be terrorists.

Children’s Library Association Pushes Gender Confusion on Kids With Pro-LGBT Summer Reading List

The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is pushing multiple LGBT recommendations in its 2022 Notable Children’s Books and Summer Reading Lists. Some of these books include a simple picture of a gay union, while other suggestions are fully centered around transgenderism, but in each case, these recommendations are meant to normalize and promote LGBT values and lifestyles to children.

By the ALSC adding these books to the reading list, it communicates that these works are of “especially commendable quality, books that exhibit venturesome creativity, and books of fiction, information, poetry, and pictures for all age levels (birth through age 14) that reflect and encourage children’s interests in exemplary ways.”

For example, children from birth to preschool are encouraged to read “The Pronoun Book” by Chris Ayala-Kronos to complete the summer reading list. As kids just begin to learn how to talk and read, they can also get a head start on trans pronoun propaganda.

In this book, young readers are taught that they can’t know what people want to be called. A boy may want to be called a “she” instead of he. A girl may desire to use plural pronouns such as they/them or a “neopronoun” such as co, ey, per, or xe.

“Milo Imagines the World” by Matt de la Peña is another “notable” children’s book on the library association’s list, and while the book is not LGBT-centered, it slips in a picture of a same-sex wedding. Pfizer Plans To Profit From COVID For Years To Come

Pfizer has already profited billions of dollars from the COVID-19 pandemic, and it plans to do so for years to come via annual vaccinations and sales of its antiviral pill Paxlovid.

The company doubled its revenue from 2020 to 2021, bringing in more than $81 billion, and also gained a large foothold in the American regulatory process, according to Kaiser Health News. CEO Albert Bourla and other top executives have said they plan to continue taking advantage of the COVID-19 market for the foreseeable future.

“Hopefully, we could be giving it annually and maybe for some groups that are high-risk more often,” Bourla told investors earlier this year, referring to COVID-19 booster shots and vaccines tailored to specific variants. “Then you have the treatment [Paxlovid] that will, let’s say, resolve the issues of those that are getting the disease.”

Some patients have experienced issues with “rebound” infections with Paxlovid, cases where they begin experiencing stronger symptoms again after completing their series of the antiviral pill. That won’t stop Pfizer from selling millions more doses though, executives said.

“People are going to get out there,” the president of Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group, Angela Hwang, said in May. “We know with all of that, infections are going to increase, and that’s the role that Paxlovid can play.”

Historic: 88% Say US on ‘Wrong Track,’ Biden Not Helping

The number of Americans struggling to make ends meet has soared “double digits,” and most blame Washington and President Joe Biden, according to the latest poll socking the liberals’ agenda just months before the midterm congressional elections.

In a survey full of depressing firsts, the headline from the new Monmouth University Poll found that a record 88% believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, the worst on record.

“This marks an all-time low for this question going back to 2013. The prior low was recorded in May of this year at 18% right direction and 79% wrong track,” said Monmouth. . .

“The number of Americans who are financially struggling has increased by double digits in the past year as inflation and gas prices top the list of problems faced by the nation’s families,” said the poll analysis. “More than 4 in 10 Americans (42%) say they are struggling to remain where they are financially. This is the first time since Monmouth started asking the question five years ago that the number topped 3 in 10 – the range in prior polls was 20% to 29%,” it added. Wade, causing a massive meltdown in liberal America. The full name was posted, but Herzog said the traction the tweet was receiving made her conscience act up, so she deleted the original tweet, which was a hilarious three-part act.

The man, who described himself as a “queer brown man,” decided to just not work. He was in mourning. He was employed by Universal Music Enterprises and was quickly fired. All this was posted on LinkedIn, so I don’t know why Herzog had a conscience attack. He wanted all of us to know what happened to him:

America’s Largest Nurses’ Union Calls on Congress to Legalize Abortion up Until Birth

National Nurses United, the largest nurses’ union in the United States, released a letter Tuesday endorsing legislation that would force all states to allow abortion at any point before birth.

The letter calls on senators to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which would almost entirely prohibit states from regulating abortion. Critics of the bill have dubbed it the “Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act,” as it would make late-term abortions legal in every state.

Per recent polling, the vast majority of Americans would disagree with the WHPA’s policy implications. Seventy-two percent of Americans support banning abortion after 15 weeks, which would be illegal under the WHPA, and roughly half believe in banning abortion after six weeks. Only 10 percent of Americans support legalizing abortion up to birth.

School Board Director to Teach Kids as Young as 9 About Sexual Pleasure

A Washington state school board director who owns a sex shop is making headlines after announcing she will teach sex education classes for children as young as 9 on topics such as “sexual anatomy for pleasure” and “safer sex practices for all kinds of sexual activities.”

“The class for 9- to 12-year-olds is an introduction to topics related to relationships, puberty, bodies, and sexuality. We focus on what makes healthy vs. unhealthy friendships and romantic relationships, the science of how puberty works, consent and personal boundaries, defining ‘sex’, and discussing why people may or may not choose to engage in sexual activities,” Jenn Mason, owner of sex shop WinkWink in Bellingham and school board director for the Bellingham School District, told KTTH radio host Jason Rantz.

Mason announced there will be four, three-hour sex education classes held at WinkWink next month as part of an event billed the “Uncringe Academy.” The classes, which Mason will teach, are broken down by age, with 9- to 12-year-olds in one class and 13- to 17-year-olds in another class.

Class topics include, “What IS sex? Kinds of solo and partnered sexual activities,” “Sexual anatomy for pleasure and reproduction,” “Gender and sexual identities,” “Safer sex practices for all kinds of sexual activities,” among others. 11-Year-Old Dies in Firework Accident, ‘Gone in the Blink of an Eye’

A young boy in Indiana died Sunday night after he was injured in a fireworks accident, authorities said.

The child, identified as Camrynn Ray McMichael, was playing with fireworks around 9:42 p.m., when he became seriously injured, Indiana State Police said Monday.

He was rushed to a local hospital but died of his wounds on the way there, authorities said.

McMichael was 11 years old.
