Texas Judge Halts Transgender Child Abuse Investigations

A Texas judge on Friday granted a temporary restraining order to block the state from investigating two families with children who are claimed to be transgender.

Travis County District Court Judge Jan Soifer agreed with the parents of the kids that the families face immediate harm from the investigations.

Also during the hearing, the state’s attorney revealed that the state has closed the child abuse case into one of the families, the Briggles.

The Briggles were one of at least nine families under state investigation for allowing their child to receive medical treatment that affirmed the child’s preferred gender, such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy. (Read more from “Texas Judge Halts Transgender Child Abuse Investigations” HERE)

Here’s the Fatal Flaw in Matthew McConaughey’s ‘Common Sense’ Gun Plan

Actor Matthew McConaughey visited Washington, D.C., this week to push for what he termed “reasonable, practical, tactical regulations” on gun rights, such as background checks, red-flag laws, and higher age limits.

“We’ve got a chance right now to reach for and to grasp a higher ground above our political affiliations,” he said, and “a chance to make a choice that does more than protect your party, a chance to make a choice that protects our country now and for the next generation.”

Corporate media and other activists praised his call for what they described as “common sense” restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms. But even if people think the solution to the moral rot plaguing the country is to restrict gun rights, there is one very big reason why this plan is not “common sense” at all and why Republicans in Congress would not be able to support it.

Many Americans have a principled objection to restricting gun rights because they are the guard against tyranny that preserves American freedoms. But even for those who don’t hold principled objections to gun-right restrictions, to voluntarily hand over the right and the security it provides American families would require a profound trust in their government that has been obliterated in recent years through widespread corruption. Was Jan. 6 Organized by the FBI?; WATCH: January 6 Committee Plays Deceptively Edited Video of Capitol Riot

By Townhall. As the liberal media obsesses over President Trump for so-called “inciting” the peaceful crowds to enter the Capitol on January 6 to protest, Republicans are standing up and defending their party.

While meeting with conservative activists at a Phoenix IHOP, Senate candidate Blake Masters (R-AZ.) questioned whether Jan. 6 was just one big set up by the FBI.

According to audio of the meeting obtained by CNN, the Trump-endorsed candidate was asked if he would support an investigation into the U.S. Intelligence operations to reveal the government’s motives in the protests, to which he replied “absolutely.”

Watch: January 6 Committee Plays Deceptively Edited Video of Capitol Riot

By Breitbart. The January 6 Committee played a deceptively edited video of the Capitol riot on Thursday evening, dubbing audio of former President Donald Trump describing the peaceful part of the rally over footage of violent clashes a mile away.

The video was presented during the committee’s first public hearing as part of a montage that Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) said included never-before-seen footage. The audio was from a Fox News interview of Trump on July 11, 2021.

The committee played Trump’s comments — which referred to his peaceful rally, over a mile away — over visuals of clashes between rioters and police. “They were peaceful people. These were great people,” Trump was heard saying. “The crowd was unbelievable. And I mentioned the word love. The love — the love in the air, I have never seen anything like it.”

Putin Ups Ante With ‘Indirect’ Nuclear Threat After Kremlin’s Sick ‘Massive Strike’ Jibe

Russian state media is continuing with its provocative rhetoric, as TV personality Vladimir Solovyov claims there will be a “massive nuclear strike” that will see only “mutants” survive. Mr Solovyov has previously been branded ‘Putin’s voice’ and regularly spouts Kremlin talking points on his show. Speaking on Russia-1 this week, he made incendiary threats to the west. Mr Solovyov said the world is “descending into bloody pages of world history.”

He also added: “If everything keeps progressing the way it is, only a couple of mutants in Lake Baikal will survive. The rest will be destroyed in a massive nuclear strike.”

While Kremlin allies continue to disseminate their extreme rhetoric, academic Olga Lautman spoke to Express.co.uk about Russia’s nuclear threat.

She believes Russia will use nuclear weapons “indirectly”, bigging up the threat of Ukraine and the US in order to justify its own violence.

Asked if she is concerned about Russia using nuclear weapons, she told Express.co.uk: “Absolutely. That was one of my biggest concerns. The Russian defense ministry has been laying the groundwork both for chemical weapons usage and nuclear weapons, but not directly. With a New, ‘Strategically Located’ Unit in Alaska, the US Army Wants to Extend Its Reach in the Arctic and Beyond

The US Army activated the 11th Airborne Division in Alaska on Monday, reestablishing it as an Arctic-focused unit in what the Pentagon sees as a valuable outpost to project power in region, into Europe, and across the Pacific.

“We expect them to be masters of their craft in the Arctic warfighting, in extreme cold weather, in mountainous and high-altitude terrain, and we expect them to develop innovative ways of operating in this environment,” Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville said at a press conference on Monday.

The two major Army units in Alaska — the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Wainwright and the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) based at Fort Richardson — were previously under the Hawaii-based 25th Infantry Division. . .

The Army Arctic Strategy released last spring emphasized the need for Arctic-specific training and equipment and infrastructure that could support operations over the region’s long distances and tough terrain.

The Army conducted a “gap analysis” to determine what was needed and sought to address “near-term deficiencies” in its 2023 budget request. In that request, Army asked for $101.8 million to support the strategy by buying 13 new cold-weather, all-terrain vehicles, acquiring more Arctic clothing and gear, and continuing to winterize equipment, an Army budget official said this spring. Twitter Will Comply With Elon Musk’s Demands to Turn Over Its Data: Report

Days after Elon Musk accused Twitter of being in “material breach” of the contract for Musk to acquire the social media company, Twitter’s board has agreed to give the billionaire full access to its data.

As soon as this week, Twitter will provide Musk with a “firehose” of data including a real-time record of the more than 500 million tweets sent daily, what devices they come from, and information about the accounts that tweet, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

The board’s acquiescence is a win for Musk, who put his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter on hold and even threatened to back out if Twitter would not hand over information that would let his team calculate the number of fake or spam accounts on its platform.

Defeating “spam bots” is among the Tesla and SpaceX CEO’s top priorities for Twitter once he takes the company private. Musk has pledged to “authenticate all real humans” and purge fake accounts from the social media website or “die trying.”

On May 13, he said that his deal to buy Twitter could not move forward until he verified Twitter’s claim that spam or fake accounts make up fewer than 5% of Twitter users. Musk has estimated the number is closer to 20% — a claim backed by some independent researchers — but he has repeatedly insisted he needs access to Twitter’s data to know for sure. Former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos claims she and other cabinet members, including former Vice President Mike Pence, discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove former President Donald Trump after Jan. 6.

DeVos spoke to Ingrid Jacques with USA Today ahead of the release of her new book, “Hostages No More: The Fight for Education Freedom and the Future of the American Child.” . .

“It wasn’t about the election results,” she told Jacques. “It was about the values and image of the United States. It was about public service rising above self. The president had lost sight of that.” . . .

Europe’s Gas Prices Are Even Higher Than America’s

Many Americans find themselves bending over backward to afford prices at the pump quickly approaching $5 per gallon. In Europe, however, fuel costs are much higher.

Due to the conflict in Ukraine, Russia — the world’s third-largest producer of energy as of 2019 — has cut off natural gas supplies to many European nations. Meanwhile, sanctions against Russia have also severed many Europeans from a major source of gasoline.

As a result, gas prices in leading European economies are significantly higher than in the United States. Citizens of Germany, for example, are purchasing gas at $7.89 per gallon as of June 6. In the United Kingdom, Spain, and France, prices at the pump are $8.32, $8.40, and $8.57, respectively. Prices are especially high in Scandinavia — $9.33 in Sweden, $10.13 in Finland, $10.32 in Denmark, and $10.82 in Norway.

Hunter Biden Paid Full-Time Salary to Stripper Who Had His Child

Hunter Biden paid a full-time salary to the exotic dancer with whom he fathered a child in 2018, according to deleted payroll files recovered from a copy of his abandoned laptop.

Lunden Roberts earned $1,500 for 40 hours of work from Biden’s company, Owasco PC, on Nov. 16, 2018, according to a recovered payroll file obtained exclusively by Washington Examiner. Two other recovered files show Owasco spent an additional $521.37 to provide health, dental, and vision insurance coverage for Roberts for the same month.

The payroll records were part of a trove of 168,000 deleted files the Washington Examiner recovered from a copy of Biden’s abandoned laptop. Konstantinos “Gus” Dimitrelos, a cyber forensics expert commissioned by the Washington Examiner to examine the hard drive, retrieved the deleted files from unallocated space on the drive using a technique called data carving.

Roberts sued Biden in Arkansas for child support in 2019. She disclosed in court filings that his company paid her from May 2018 through November 2018, but the specific amounts were not publicly disclosed. The US Military Is Almost Completely Dependent on China for Key Mineral Used in Ammunition: Report

The U.S. military depends almost completely on China for a mineral essential to the production of ammunition and other defense products, Defense News reported Wednesday.

The House Armed Services Committee released draft legislation on Wednesday, which would require a briefing on the antimony supply by October and a five-year outlook on supply chain vulnerabilities, Defense News reported. The U.S. has no domestic mine for the mineral antimony, which is reportedly used in the production of night vision goggles, armor-piercing bullets, explosives and nuclear weapons.

“China in particular does a remarkably good job of hoarding these materials,” Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told Defense News. “China clearly has a comprehensive global strategy to corner the market on these materials and we’re behind and we’re playing catch-up.”

In 2020, approximately half of the antimony mined originated in China, Russia and Tajikistan, according to Britannica.

Moulton and seven Republicans wrote to the defense appropriations subcommittee in April asking for an additional $264 million in funding for the National Defense Stockpile (NDS), a reserve of critical materials used in national emergencies. The letter claimed that in the last 30 years Congress had “authorized the sell-off” of the majority of the stockpiled materials.
