Alaska Gubernatorial Candidate Chris Kurka Hammers GOP Leadership for Kicking Fellow Legislator Out of Caucus

Alaska House District 7 (Wasilla) Representative Christopher Kurka responded today to the House Republican Minority’s action over the weekend removing District 10 Representative David Eastman from the House Minority Caucus, and the Committee on Committees’ subsequent report recommending Eastman’s removal from the Rules and Ethics Committees, which was accepted by the House.

“The House Minority’s expulsion of Rep. Eastman from the caucus on Friday was as petty and sophomoric as it was unjustified and unwarranted, and I condemn it in the strongest possible terms,” Kurka said. “I would say to my colleagues, if you can’t deal with legislative debate or negotiate the rules with respect for others, then maybe you ought to find another profession. Representative Eastman did nothing wrong, and I won’t stand silently by and watch a political lynching.”

During the Minority Press Conference, the Minority Leader explicitly said, “I can’t point to any one incident” that precipitated the measures taken. Other members complained that Rep. Eastman: (1) Is a “member” of The Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership; (2) Proposed too many budget amendments; (3) Caused “disruption, confusion, and distraction” inside the caucus.

First, The Foundation for Applied Conservative Leadership does not have membership, and there is no such group operating in Alaska. It is only a school that trains citizen activists in the same kinds of methods and tactics used by corporations, unions, and special interest groups that lobby the Legislature.

Second, it is hard to even know how to respond to the charge that Rep. Eastman is fighting too hard to hold the Democrat-led coalition accountable.

Third, the “disruption, confusion, and distraction” referenced sounds personal, and that is something every legislator must deal with individually.

Kurka concluded, “Ironically, Representative Eastman and I are the only members of the House Republican Minority to actually pass amendments to the State budget on the House Floor. I will never apologize for fighting too hard for my constituents, and neither should Eastman. I only wish the House Republican Caucus was half as concerned about what the Democrats and turncoat Republicans are doing to this state as they are about what we are doing to stop them.”

Joe Biden Caught Red-Handed Lying About Hunter’s Business Deals; Joe Biden Used Alias of KGB Spy From Tom Clancy Novels, Emails From Hunter’s Laptop Show

You can now officially file President Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken” to his son Hunter about his business activities with his claims that inflation is “transitory” and the border is “under control.”

The Post reported that Joe allegedly agreed to pay more than $800,000 in legal bills Hunter racked up, including bills related to his overseas businesses. This comes on the heels of revelations that Hunter alleged his father was taking half his salary.

It would be literally impossible to set up these arrangements without talking business. So the prez has been outright lying. Just as Hunter’s business partner Tony Bobulinski said months ago.

Want more evidence? Consider The Post’s revelation of the direct sit-down Joe had as veep with another Hunter partner, Eric Schwerin, then serving as president of investment fund Rosemont Seneca Partners.

We still don’t know what they discussed. Or what was said on the (at least) 19 occasions Schwerin visited the White House and other official locations from 2009 to 2015. Asked about these shady details, chief Biden flack Jen Psaki responded: “I don’t have any information on that.” The future MSNBC star doesn’t want to know. Joe Biden Used Alias of KGB Spy From Tom Clancy Novels, Emails From Hunter’s Laptop Show

By New York Post. Joe Biden wrote to his son Hunter and others close to him using the pseudonym “Peter Henderson” – a fictional Soviet Union-era spy in several Tom Clancy novels who infiltrated the US government, emails show.

The messages contained on Hunter’s abandoned laptop appear to indicate the then-VP started using the fictitious mole’s moniker in October 2016 while forwarding a YouTube video to his son Hunter, brother Jim, daughter-in-law Hallie, as well as his sister and longtime political strategist Valerie Biden Owens.

Biden sent the message using an email address with a username of “67stingray” — a clear reference to his beloved 1967 Corvette Stingray.

The name attached to Biden’s “67stingray” account at the time was “Peter Henderson” – which matches the name of the KGB spy in Clancy’s popular Jack Ryan series, according to online fan pages.

Henderson, whose codename was Cassius in Clancy’s realm, worked as a “minor Senate aide” in 1970 before becoming a Russian spy who was later caught by the CIA and turned into a double agent. Ex-Biden Aide Francis Person Went to White House 7 Times After Joining China-Tied Firm

By New York Post. One of Joe Biden’s closest aides as vice president, who later joined a Washington-based firm founded by an executive with ties to China’s Communist Party and did deals with Biden’s son Hunter — visited the White House at least seven times over a two-year period.

Francis Person — better known as “Franny” to the Biden family, whom Jill Biden has said is “like a son” to her and Joe — visited the White House multiple times in 2015 and 2016, including a holiday reception in December 2015 with Chinese executive Bo Zhang, official logs viewed by The Post show.

Person, who left his role as then-Vice President Biden’s personal aide in 2014, went on to work with Hunter Biden and his business partner Eric Schwerin in deals with the Harves Group and later became president of the Washington-based firm.

The linkage between someone so enmeshed at one time in President Biden’s inner circle and his son’s business dealings comes amid fresh scrutiny of what if any knowledge the elder Biden has had of his son’s overseas dealings. Supreme Court Set to Overturn Roe v. Wade, Leaked Draft Opinion Shows: Report

The Supreme Court is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, according to an unprecedented leak of a draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito.

The draft leak obtained by Politico was written in early February. It was not immediately clear if it has been rewritten or revised. The Court has declined to verify or disavow the document. Analysts have suggested the leak may represent an attempt to pressure a Supreme Court justice to change his or her vote on the pivotal case.

Until an official opinion is signed and released by the Court, Roe v. Wade remains the law of the land. Drafts circulate and change, as do votes.

Should Roe v. Wade be overturned, abortions would be left for the states to decide.

“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Samuel Alito writes in the document, labeled the “Opinion of the Court” for the case Dobbs v. Amazon to Foot the Bill for Employees’ Abortion Tourism

Amazon will fund up to $4,000 in annual travel expenses for employees seeking abortions, according to a company spokesman, joining several other large corporations with similar policies.

The company announced in an internal message that it will cover travel expenses for abortions when an employee cannot obtain one within 100 miles of their home and “virtual care” is not possible, according to Reuters. Citigroup, Apple, Match Group, and Yelp are also covering abortion-related travel expenses for employees.

An Amazon spokesman confirmed the policy to the Daily Caller News Foundation but declined to comment further. It will go into effect retroactively, extending to Jan. 1, 2022.

The Amazon policy will cover $4,000 of travel for non-life-threatening medical procedures other than abortions as well, according to Reuters.

COVID Vax Now Mandatory in This Country; Elected Reps Cannot Vote Without Proof of Vax

Around 600,000 Italians over the age of 50 are set to receive a fine for being unvaccinated despite the Italian government reviewing a loosening of various Wuhan virus restrictions.

In January, the Italian government decided to make vaccination mandatory for all residents over the age of 50, with the mandate coming into effect in February. At least 600,000 Italians have been referred to the Italian tax agency and are expected to receive a 100 euro (£84/$110) fine. . .

Fines are also set to increase for those over 50 who continue to refuse to get the vaccine, and could go as high as between 600 euros (£499/$668) and 1,500 euros (£1,248/$1,671) for those who go to work without the “super green pass” health passport — a variation of the green pass that is only given to those fully vaccinated or those recovered from the virus. . .

Even Italian lawmakers over the age of 50 are not exempt from the vaccination rules, and several parliamentarians expressed their frustration with them last month, with one senator comparing the policy to the Fascist regime of Benito Mussolini. Prosecutor Will Keep Prosecuting Christian Politician for Quoting the Bible

Finland’s top prosecutor announced Friday she will appeal a unanimous court decision rejecting her allegations of “hate speech” against a Christian politician for quoting the Bible on Twitter. This means Member of Parliament Paivi Rasanen, who has already spent three years being investigated, interrogated, and prosecuted by her government, must now keep fighting in court so that Christianity stays legal in Finland, and possibly all of Europe.

“The prosecutor’s decision to appeal the acquittal verdict may lead to the case going all the way to the Supreme Court, giving the possibility of securing precedent protecting freedom of speech and religion for all Finnish people. Also I am happy that this decision will lead to the discussion of the teaching in Bible continuing in Finnish society. I am ready to defend freedom of speech and religion in all necessary courts, and as far as the European Court of Human rights,” Rasanen wrote in a Friday statement in English, a second language.

Before the Finnish court that ultimately ruled in her favor on March 30, Rasanen’s lawyers argued that applying Finland’s identity privilege laws as the prosecutor general wished would effectively outlaw Christianity in Finland. The prosecutor argued Rasanen broke Finland’s hate speech law on three counts: by tweeting a picture of Bible verses during a public debate about whether Finland’s state church should support a homosexual event; by expressing Christian theology during a radio debate; and by writing a booklet called “Male and Female He Created Them” about Christianity’s teachings that God makes men and women different and those biological differences matter.

The Lutheran bishop who published Rasanen’s booklet is also being prosecuted.

‘Rape Office’: Elon Musk Hammers NBC’s Many Scandals

NBC reporter Mehdi Hasan made some not-so-subtle comments calling Elon Musk a “petulant and not-so-bright billionaire” during a broadcast, to which Musk responded Monday accusing the network of building “Matt Lauer his rape office,” among other brilliant troll-like comments.

Grabien Founder Tom Elliott shared the clip of Hasan discussing Musk on NBC under the caption, “If [the “neo-Nazi faction” of the GOP expands in Nov.], we may look back on this .. as a pivotal moment, when a petulant & not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines & just handed it to the far-right.”

Musk responded to the Tweet, saying, “NBC basically saying Republicans are Nazis,” and then adding “Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early & killed it & built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people.” The response received almost 60,000 likes and more than 10,000 retweets in the first hour.

Shocker: Strongly Divided Supremes Rule Unanimously on One Issue

In a public rebuke to the city of Boston, the U.S. Supreme Court has unanimously ruled the city violated the constitutional rights of Camp Constitution, whose officials asked to fly a Christian flag at city hall through a program that already had allowed multiple private interest groups to fly their banners.

“We conclude that, on balance, Boston did not make the raising and flying of private groups’ flags a form of government speech,” wrote Justice Stephen Breyer, one of the court’s leftists, in the opinion. “That means, in turn, that Boston’s refusal to let Shurtleff and Camp Constitution raise their flag based on its religious viewpoint ‘abridged’ their ‘freedom of speech.'”

The case had been developing for years, and earlier this year WND reported when the justices heard arguments in the case, which focused on the city’s decision to make available to any private group one of the flagpoles at its city hall. The groups could schedule a time and then fly their banner for a short time.

That program was run without incident until Hal Shurtleff, whose organization is called Camp Constitution, requested to fly a Christian flag under the city’s program. Never before had city officials debated such a request, but this time, they refused to allow the banner to fly. . .

Putin to Undergo Cancer Surgery, Transfer Power to Ex-FSB Chief: Report

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to undergo cancer surgery and temporarily hand over power to a hardline former federal police chief, according to a new report.

Putin will transfer control of Russia’s government to Nikolai Patrushev, head of the Russian federal police’s Security Council, while he is incapacitated during and after the procedure, according to a video from the mysterious Telegram channel “General SVR” on Saturday.

The channel — which is purportedly run by a former Russian Foreign Intelligence Service lieutenant general known by the pseudonym “Viktor Mikhailovich” — reported that Putin has been told by doctors that he must undergo an operation.

Trump Asks Judge to ‘Punish’ Lawyers Who Released Fruit Fears Testimony

Donald Trump has asked a judge to punish the lawyers who released parts of a deposition that revealed his fears about being hit with “dangerous” fruit by protesters.

The ex-president’s testimony — given in a lawsuit that alleges his security guards assaulted demonstrators outside Trump Tower in 2015 — was made public last week by the attorneys for the plaintiffs in the case.

Trump counsel Alina Habba accused the lawyers of acting in “bad faith conduct” as she filed a motion seeking for them to be sanctioned over the move.

Releasing the 60 pages of deposition transcript was “a blatant attempt to garner unwarranted media attention and to irreparably taint the potential jury pool,” she charged.
