Progressives Want Democratic Party to Purge Remaining Pro-Lifers

Leaders of the Congressional Progressive Caucus are demanding that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee abandon its support of the five remaining pro-life Democrats in Congress and allow abortion advocates to compete for their seats.

Newsweek reports that the CPC’s co-chair, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), has now said, in no uncertain terms, that Democrats who do not support the practice of ending unborn life in the womb are no longer welcome in the party, and that they should be primaried out of office by more reliable Democrats.

“I think we should allow for strong primary challenges, so that people can really put their Democratic chops on the line, if you will, and let the Democratic voters decide who they want,” Jayapal told a press conference. “You can’t say you’re a Democrat if you’re against immigrants, if you’re against abortion, if you’re against gay marriage and LGBTQ rights. I’m not sure what it means to be a Democrat if all of those things are true.” . . .

“I understand that the DCCC is funded by—we are a membership organization—it’s funded by our members. And I understand that the DCCC is often going to try to protect the incumbent,” Jayapal concluded. “But I do think we have to look at all of these issues and think about what it means to be a Democrat.”

Justice Democrats, the group that championed far-left progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Coretz (D-NY) in the last election cycle and is now challenging the DCCC and DNC for cutting openly progressive campaign workers out of official directories, agreed that pro-lifers now have no place in the Democratic party and that they intend to fight for their exclusion. Author Says Trump Should Be Turned ‘over to the Saudis … Who Got Rid of That Reporter’

On Friday’s episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher” on HBO, author Fran Lebowitz stated that although she would like to see President Trump impeached, she would also like to see him handed over to the Saudis:

LEBOWITZ: I change my mind from day to day. I mean, where am I on impeachment? Certainly, he deserves to be impeached. I mean, impeachment is just the beginning of what he deserves. Not even scratching the surface of what he deserves. . .

LEBOWITZ: Whenever, you know, I think about this and what he really deserves, I think, “We should turn him over to the Saudis,” you know? His buddies. The same Saudis who got rid of that reporter, you know? Maybe they can do the same for him.

The reporter mentioned by Lebowitz is Jamal Khashoggi, who, in October 2018, was allegedly murdered by a Saudi “hit team” after entering a consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

Later in the episode, during a panel discussion in which Lebowitz participated, she backtracked on her “Saudi” remarks after the producers allegedly informed her that the show was getting hit on social media[.]

Another Major Pro-Life Bill Passed, But This One Signed by DEMOCRATIC Governor!

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards reportedly signaled he would sign his state’s “heartbeat” legislation — effectively banning abortions after just weeks of pregnancy — as his party faced questions over whether it should be more inclusive of pro-life voices. . .

The bill, which awaited a vote from the Louisiana House of Representatives, would make the state one of the strictest on abortion access — following a slew of other states that passed restrictions in an apparent attempt to make the Supreme Court reconsider major precedent on the issue.

Pro-life advocates have heralded measures like “heartbeat” legislation while groups like Planned Parenthood have challenged them in a series of legal battles. Louisiana’s bill could face a lawsuit from the same group — the American Civil Liberties Union — that sued Ohio over its own “heartbeat” legislation. . .

“My position hasn’t changed. In eight years in the Legislature, I was a pro-life legislator,” Edwards said. Edwards attributed his pro-life stance to his faith but it also appeared to hold personal significance. Nearly three decades ago, he and his wife decided to have his daughter, diagnosed as a baby with spina bifida, against the doctor’s advice to abort. . .

According to a Marist poll from 2019, Democrats varied in their opinion on abortion restrictions. But a strong majority — 60 percent — said they supported limiting abortion to the first trimester. A Pregnant ‘Man’s’ Medical Emergency Proves a HUGE ISSUE with Transgenderism

When the [woman] arrived at the hospital with severe abdominal pains, a nurse didn’t consider it an emergency, noting that [she] was obese and had stopped taking blood pressure medicines. In reality, [she] was pregnant — a transgender man in labor that was about to end in a stillbirth.

The tragic case, described in Wednesday’s New England Journal of Medicine, points to larger issues about assigning labels or making assumptions in a society increasingly confronting gender variations in sports, entertainment and government. In medicine, there’s a similar danger of missing diseases such as sickle cell and cystic fibrosis that largely affect specific racial groups, the authors write. . .

Transgender men, who are considered female at birth but who identify as male, may or may not be using masculinizing hormones or have had surgical alterations, such as womb removal.

The 32-year-old patient told the nurse [she] was transgender when [she] arrived at the emergency room and [her[ electronic medical record listed [her] as male. [She] hadn’t had a period in several years and had been taking testosterone, a hormone that has masculinizing effects and can decrease ovulation and menstruation. But [she] quit taking the hormone and blood pressure medication after he lost insurance. . .

Several hours later, a doctor evaluated [her] and the hospital test confirmed pregnancy. An ultrasound showed unclear signs of fetal heart activity, and an exam revealed that part of the umbilical cord had slipped into the birth canal. Doctors prepared to do an emergency cesarean delivery, but in the operating room no fetal heartbeat was heard. Moments later, the [woman] delivered a stillborn baby. Bernie’s Mystery Soviet Tapes Revealed

Earlier this year, two minutes of the long-lost videos went viral when a staffer at Chittenden County’s Channel 17 posted a compilation of the station’s archival footage online. The clip featured a shirtless Sanders and other Americans singing “This Land Is Your Land” to their hosts after relaxing in a sauna. A few minutes later, Sanders doled out the gifts to his Russian friends with a towel wrapped around his waist. . .

But that’s only the beginning. The hours of footage include a scene of Sanders sitting with his delegation at a table under a portrait of Vladimir Lenin. Sanders can also be heard extolling the virtues of Soviet life and culture, even as he acknowledges some of their shortcomings. There are flashes of humor, too, such as his host warning the American guests not to cross the KGB, or else. . .

Over the course of 10 days, Sanders, who was then the mayor of Burlington, and his dozen-member delegation traveled to three cities: Moscow, Yaroslavl and Leningrad, now known as St. Petersburg. Their goal was to establish a “sister city” relationship with Yaroslavl, a community along the Volga River home to about 500,000 people. At the time, the Soviet Union was beginning to open itself to the world, if only slightly — and Sanders was a self-described socialist with an unusually large interest in foreign affairs for a mayor. . .

For now, many of the videos will remain available for viewing only in CCTV’s archives. POLITICO learned about the tapes after reporting on a TV show Sanders created while mayor called “Bernie Speaks With the Community.” The government-access channel is not planning to put the raw tapes documenting the Soviet Union trip online because they never aired, said executive director Lauren-Glenn Davitian. ICE Director Nominee Says He Can Tell Which Illegal Alien Children Will Join MS-13 – Here’s How

By The Blaze. President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement once said he can tell if an illegal immigrant child will become a gang member just by looking at him, according to Politico.

The nominee, Mark Morgan, made the comments during an interview with Tucker Carlson in January. The remarks resurfaced this week when HuffPost took a look back at public statements Morgan has made in the past.

Morgan was the head of Border Patrol under former President Barack Obama, a longtime FBI agent and director focusing on illegal immigration issues, and a former police officer after he started his career off with 11 years in the Marines.

“I’ve been to detention facilities where I’ve walked up to these individuals that are so-called minors, 17 or under,” Morgan told Carlson. “I’ve looked at them and I’ve looked at their eyes, Tucker — and I’ve said that is a soon-to-be MS-13 gang member. Trump’s Pick for ICE Director: I Can Tell Which Migrant Children Will Become Gang Members by Looking into Their Eyes

By Politico. [Mark] Morgan could not immediately be reached for comment, and the White House and ICE did not respond to requests.

Morgan’s comment echoed statements by President Donald Trump. During an event last year in Long Island, N.Y., Trump said unaccompanied minors “look so innocent,” but aren’t in reality.

Trump tweeted earlier this month that Morgan would become his new nominee to lead ICE. The White House pulled the nomination of the president’s previous pick, Ronald Vitiello, during a broader Homeland Security Department leadership shakeup in April. Trump said at the time that he intended to go in a “tougher direction” with the ICE role.

The White House still has not issued a press release announcing Morgan’s nomination, and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has not scheduled a confirmation hearing. School Staffer Disarms Gunman Outside High School

By Breitbart. Police in Portland, Oregon, report that a school staffer disarmed a gunman outside Parkrose High School around lunchtime today.

Portland police received a call concerning the presence of the armed man, but “arrived and determined that a Parkrose High School staff member had wrestled the suspect to the ground.” Police noted, “There is no indication there is any other shooter or any injuries.”

Keanon Lowe, Former Oregon Ducks Star, Wrestles Suspect to Ground amid Report of Gunman near Parkrose HS

By The Oregonian. A distraught student entered a classroom Friday at Parkrose High School wearing a black trench coat and carrying a shotgun but didn’t hurt anyone before he was tackled in the hallway by the football coach, police and witnesses said.

Parents and students reported Coach Keanon Lowe, one of Oregon’s most prominent high school and college football players of the past decade, took the armed male student to the ground.

Lowe, also Parkrose’s head track and field coach, works as a security guard at the school, several people said.

“I’m just happy everyone was OK,” Lowe said as he walked out of the school’s fine arts building into a school parking lot shortly after police had cleared the school and talked to witnesses. “I’m happy I was able to be there for the kids and for the community.”

He said he was tired and wanted to go home to his loved ones. Several people greeted him in the parking lot. Abortion Activist Model Believes Killing Black Babies Is a Public Service

Left-wing activist Emily Ratajkowski is making an anti-science argument to justify the murder of unborn black children as a means to lower the prison population.

And I use the term “anti-science” because Ratajkowski’s racist appeal to decrease the black prison population as some kind of public service is purely driven by a sense of supremacism and has nothing to do with facts or statistics.

Here she is in her own words, and I dare you to differentiate this from anything you would read at the Daily Stormer or one of those “white genocide” sites [emphasis added]:

This week, 25 old white men voted to ban abortion in Alabama even in cases of incest and rape. These men in power are imposing their wills onto the bodies of women in order to uphold the patriarchy and perpetuate the industrial prison complex by presenting women of low income opportunity the right to chose not to reproduce. The states trying to ban abortions have the highest proportions of black women living there. This is about class and race and is a direct attack on the fundamental human rights women in the US deserve and are protected by under Roe v Wade. Our bodies, out choice.

We’ll get to the facts and statistics in a moment, but this must first be made clear: Emily Ratajkowski’s argument, her rationale is no different from what we have heard throughout the darkest parts of human history from the KKK, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s hideous sentiments about black Americans, or from the Nazis about any non-Aryan race. Gay, Radical 2020 Dem: Christianity Has Extremist Factions, Just Like Islam

By Breitbart. Mayor Pete Buttigieg claimed Friday that Christianity had its own extremist factions of faith similar to that of radical Islam in the Middle East.

Asked about the differences between Shia extremism followed in Iran versus Sunni extremism, the 2020 presidential candidate immediately compared radical Islam to Christianity.

“Well, you know, not unlike Christianity when it is motivating someone to do something extreme. It can have a thousand different flavors,” he said. “The real question is what’s going on with the regime, the government, that’s given the power and the apparatus of the state and intelligence service and a military, and what do they do with their ideology?” . . .

The South Bend mayor also compared the radical Iran regime to President Donald Trump’s administration, insofar as whether they were representative of the entire population.

Gay Dem Candidate Buttigieg Compares Christians to Islamic Extremists, Calls Pence ‘Fanatical’

By CBN News. Meanwhile, Buttigieg says he’s a Christian, but he’s been touting his homosexuality and his marriage to a man named Chasten Glezman as a campaign issue, lashing out repeatedly at Vice President Mike Pence over his conservative Christian views.

On the campaign trail, Buttigieg has blasted Pence’s cultural and religious conservatism.

Appearing on The Stephen Colbert Show last month, Buttigieg said of Pence, “He’s nice. If he were here, you would think he’s a nice guy to your face. But he’s also fanatical.”

He lashed out at the vice president for his biblical views on sexuality.

Dems Trying to BOYCOTT Alabama over Pro-Life Bill

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is calling for a boycott of the state of Alabama, following the signing of a controversial bill outlawing abortion. Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed the bill into law on Wednesday night.

It is the most restrictive abortion ban passed in the United States since Roe v. Wade became law in 1973. . .

Pro-abortion critics of the bill have taken issue with the fact that, in addition to banning abortion procedures, the legislation does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

“This restrictive law, which does not even allow exceptions for incest and rape, is appalling,” Griswold said in a statement. “We should not spend Colorado state resources in a state that restricts women’s basic rights to health care.”

Griswold on Thursday said that Colorado Department of State employees regularly travel to the Election Center in Auburn, Alabama to receive Certified Election Registration Administrator training and certification. She is now calling on the Election Center to relocate out of Alabama, and said she no longer allow her employees to travel there for work purposes.
