Harvard Sued for Racial Discrimination Against Asian-Americans – as Confirmed by Their Own Study

The admissions process for getting into Harvard University is kept under lock and key. And because it’s one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in the US — if not the premier — smarty-pants from all over the world pay careful attention to who gets in, and how. And why.

This year, Harvard sent acceptance letters to a mere 4.6 percent of its applicants. But a lawsuit against the institution is accusing the school of directing a significant number of those letters away from more-deserving students of Asian descent. . .

SFFA’s suit against Harvard claims that although Asian-American students tend to apply to the school with stronger academic and extra-curricular credentials, they are unfairly “rated down” in subjective categories pertaining to personality traits.

If Harvard applicants were granted admission based solely on their academic merit, Asian-Americans would have made up more than 43 percent of the 2013 freshmen…according to a Harvard study from that same year. . .

Putting the alleged disparity in perspective, SFFA claims that an Asian-American male applicant to Harvard with a 25 percent chance of admission would actually have a much better chance if he were of another race: 35 percent chance if he was Caucasion, 75 percent if he were Hispanic, and 95 percent chance if he were African-American. Bernie Sanders Just Got Caught in a Massive Flip-Flop

Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders appears to have flip-flopped on whether the United States of America is a compassionate country.

Sanders on Friday slammed President Donald Trump’s administration for separating migrant children from their parents at the border, which Sanders said is contrary to America’s identity as “a nation of compassion and generosity.”

“This is America, a nation of compassion and generosity,” the socialist senator wrote on Twitter. “We will not allow Trump, Sessions or anyone else to continue a policy of ripping babies from the arms of their mothers. Together, we will defeat this inhumane and un-American action.”

But when former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price described America as a “compassionate society” during his confirmation hearings in January 2017, Sanders insisted that Price was wrong.

‘We Do Not Separate Babies From Adults’: DHS Denies Allegation It ‘Ripped’ Breastfeeding Baby From Mother

Department of Homeland Security officials on Friday flatly denied a widely reported allegation that border authorities forcibly separated a breastfeeding baby from her mother while she was awaiting prosecution for entering the country illegally.

“We do not separate babies from adults,” a DHS official told reporters during a background briefing. “It’s a bright line.”

CNN first reported that an illegal immigrant from Honduras claimed federal authorities took her daughter while she breastfed the child at an immigration detention center in McAllen, Texas, on Tuesday. The CNN report was picked up by several national media outlets, including the Huffington Post, The Daily Beast and Vox, sparking further condemnation of the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant families caught crossing the border illegally.

The CNN report did not quote the mother herself, but rather an attorney with the Texas Civil Rights Project who had reportedly interviewed the woman. A Customs and Border Protection spokesman denied the allegations in a statement to CNN on Wednesday. . .

Also Friday, the Department of Justice confirmed that 1,995 migrant children were separated from 1,940 adults from April 19 through May 31. The adults in that group were prosecuted for illegal entry, immigration violations, and in some cases, other criminal conduct. DOJ officials did not release a breakdown of the children’s ages or the charges brought against the adults. Steve King Reveals a Drastic Action the GOP Is Considering – Against Speaker Paul Ryan

Rep. Steve King (R-Texas) said Friday that there was a growing movement among members of the House Republicans to remove Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) from his position as House speakership. . .

“I also have got information that there are–I’ll say ‘members’–I say that plurally, with knowledge, that are considering introducing a motion to vacate the chair,” he added. “If they do that, that will throw this place into a tizzy and force the kind of election for a Speaker that may bring out someone who is a lot stronger on this.”

The most recent discontent came when Ryan propagated the details of an immigration compromise bill that many saw as conceding too many demands of the out-of-power Democrats. . .

“From the time that Paul Ryan announced that he would be retiring at the end of this Congress, his juice has been diminished day by day by day,” King continued. “It’s not a personal thing. It’s just a function of how things work.

WATCH: The Latest ‘Reality Check’ Takes On The Left’s Obsession With Hating Chick-fil-A

On Thursday, MRCTV uploaded the latest episode of “Reality Check” with Brittany Hughes. The topic of this installment was the progressive movement’s seeming obsession with Chick-fil-A:

While the world was anxiously awaiting news of whether North Korea would agree to give up their nukes and maybe we have a prayer of peace, the Left was whining about a chicken sandwich. And while they were busy telling gay folks what nuggets they can and can’t eat, guess what Chick-fil-A was doing? Actually helping people – you know, as Christians tend to do.

After the intro, Hughes jumped right in:

… they are at it again. And this time, The Huffington Post has openly declared that gay people are not allowed to eat at Chick-fil-A because their CEO is a Christian who believes in traditional marriage. And somehow this means that the entire restaurant chain hates gay people and serves their famous milkshakes up with a big old side of bigotry.

Immediately after the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando back in 2016, Chick-fil-A was one of the first businesses to respond to the tragedy. It didn’t matter one bit that the shooter had targeted a gay nightclub, they immediately began offering free food to law enforcement at the scene; they opened up on a Sunday to offer free food to people who were lined up to give blood to the wounded; and they asked that they not be given any recognition for any of it.

California Teacher ‘Investigated’ for Showing Pro-Life Video That Medically Describes Abortion

A seventh grade teacher in California is reportedly under investigation by the Sacramento City Unified School District for showing a pro-life video that medically describes abortion and a music video by rapper Nick Cannon, wherein he thanks his mother for refusing to abort him in the womb.

The pro-life video in question features a former abortionist turned pro-lifer named Dr. Anthony Levatino. Levatino, in collaboration with pro-life group Live Action, medically describes what an abortionist does during first and second trimester abortions in at least two different videos (both posted below), though it’s unclear which one was allegedly shown to the middle schoolers.

The former abortionist performed hundreds of abortions before his adopted daughter was tragically killed outside their home by car. “I looked at the remains of a pre-born child whose life I had ended, and all I could see was someone’s son or daughter,” Levatino explained of his conversion.

On Tuesday, school district spokesman Alex Barrios told The Sacramento Bee that the videos allegedly shown are “completely inappropriate for the classroom” and do not “meet the district’s approved family life and sexuality curriculum.” The district “will address this matter with the seriousness it demands,” added Barrios.

Parents complained to the teacher in question and school principal Cristin Tahara-Martin, reports the paper. “We all know that the subject of abortion is sensitive, complex and controversial, and I personally don’t think it belongs as a topic to go into in any depth in a seventh-grade class,” said one anonymous mother. This Transgender Father’s Day Story From CNN Did Not Get a Warm Reception Online

A CNN tweet posting an article about a transgender man that gave birth to a child was not warmly received by many on social media. . .

The article explains some of the challenges of the transgender family, like when they had to pause their hormone treatments in order to conceive their child. They also explained that they faced discrimination in public from others who didn’t accept their lifestyle.

Many conservatives on social media mocked the attempt by CNN to normalize the left side of the transgender debate.

“And I want my son to see me as a flying superhero who is faster than a speeding bullet and can leap tall buildings in a single bound,” tweeted Ben Shapiro. “But that’s bulls*** too, so he won’t.”

Rep. Makes Stunning Accusation Over One IMPORTANT Text Revealed in IG Report; Anyone Who Voted Trump a “Lazy POS”

By The Blaze. Rep. Ron DeSantis lobbed an accusation at the Department of Justice over a text between anti-Trump FBI agents that was revealed in the Inspector General’s report released Thursday. . .

“The following is in the IG report,” DeSantis tweeted. “Why didn’t Rosenstein disclose this to Congress when we asked for the texts?”

“August 8 2016 Strzok-Page texts,” he added, then posted their exchange.

“Page: [Trump’s] not ever going to become President, right? Right?!” said one text according to the report.

“Strzok: No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it,” was the response from the FBI agent.

IG Report: Do You Support Trump? Then You’re a Lazy POS, According to (At Least One) FBI Employee

By The Blaze. A conversation between the two anonymous employees on the morning of Nov. 9, 2016 (the day after Donald Trump won the presidential election), indicates a mood of remorse over investigating Hillary Clinton, and a distain for Americans who voted for President Trump.

One of the employees, an attorney, is referred to in the probe only as “FBI Attorney 2.” The other “FBI Employee” was not involved in the Clinton investigation, but had quite a bit to say. Here is the exchange between the two:

11:02:22 FBI Employee: “All the people who were initially voting for her would not, and were not, swayed by any decision the FBI put out. Trump’s supporters are all poor to middle class, uneducated, lazy *POS that think that he will magically grant them jobs for doing nothing. They probably didn’t watch the debates, aren’t fully educated on his policies, and are stupidly wrapped up in his unmerited enthusiasm.”

Then the attorney responded: “And it’s just hard not to feel like the FBI caused some of this. It was razor thin in some states…plus, my god damned name is all over the legal documents investigating his staff.”

Watch: Democrat Takes Pepper Spray to the Face to Promote Gun Control in New Ad

As the underdog in Colorado’s upcoming Democratic 6th District House primary on June 26, former Obama administration official Levi Tillemann has launched a campaign ad aimed at grabbing people’s attention. But the attention he’s receiving may not be the kind he was hoping for.

In the ad entitled “This Will Save Lives,” Tillemann volunteers to take a blast of pepper spray to his own face, while making the case to arm every school classroom in America with a can of pepper spray to stop school shooters. . .

Tillemann then explains how powerful pepper spray is and why it would be less of a risk to keep in classrooms than a gun. “Trust me, this will stop anyone in their tracks,” says Tillemann, before being liberally sprayed in the face with pepper spray.

The next scene shows Tillemann saying “Wow, that’s intense,” before dunking his head in a tub of sudsy water in an attempt to remove the substance from his face. “It’s incredibly painful, and now, I just can’t see anything,” Tillemann says, and later adds, “It’s just unbearable. It’s like lava in your eyes.”

He’s then seen spraying his eyes with a water hose while the message on the screen reads, “There are more than 300 million guns in the US.” Tillemann says that part of building a better future for America involves making our schools safe again, and that non-lethal defense tools will save lives. Meet the Other FBI Staffers Who Texted About the Clinton Email Investigation

. . .Perhaps the most shocking information in the IG’s report is the revelation that Lisa Page and Peter Strzok were not the only amorous agents with a habit of texting. There were also “Agent 1” and “Agent 5,” who were involved in the Clinton investigation and, according to the IG’s report “were in a relationship at the time and are now married.” Their communications make for a searing indictment of the culture of the FBI and paint a portrait of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email practices as fiasco.

Agent 1 was one of the key players in the investigation—one of just four “case agents” on the probe—and he not only expressed his political support for Clinton, he advocated against subjecting Hillary to an FBI interview. A few days before the Clinton confab, he sent an instant-message in which he complained about how many agents and attorneys were prepping for the questioning: “… very aggravating making this flow with 20+ voices for disparate information anyway.” Fair enough. But then, as the message goes on he suggests that he has a certain lack of enthusiasm for the whole affair. “We have nothing—shouldn’t even be interviewing” . . .

Asked by the IG about these comments, Agent 1 insisted he hadn’t meant his message: “I don’t want to make it sound like there was no reason to interview her.” As for explaining his “adamantly opposed” comments, Agent 1’s memory seemed to give out.

There are reasons to think that Agent 1 was dissatisfied because the organization was phoning in a politically determined investigation. But there are also reasons to think his unhappiness flowed from an admiration for Hillary. Take his message to Agent 5 after completing the questioning of Clinton: “done interviewing the President.”

And then there’s this heartfelt string of missives from Agent 1 to Agent 5 on November 8, 2016—election day: “You should know; … that I’m … with her.” (The IG helpfully adds in a footnote that “’I’m with her’ was one of the Clinton campaign slogans.”) (Read more from “Meet the Other FBI Staffers Who Texted About the Clinton Email Investigation” HERE)
