White House Will Decide Which Reporters Get Briefing Room Seats: Report

In a major break from established tradition, the White House will now decide which reporters get the coveted seats in the briefing room, not the White House Correspondents’ Association, Axios reported Sunday.

A senior White House official told Axios that the communications staff have formalized a plan for “fundamental restructuring of the briefing room, based on metrics more reflective of how media is consumed today.” The White House’s new layout will include reporters from digital outlets, print outlets, TV, and more. The digital group includes “new media” outlets, according to Axios, like The Daily Wire, Axios itself, Semafor, and influencers.

“The goal isn’t merely favorable coverage,” the White House official told Axios. “It’s truly an honest look at consumption [of the outlets’ coverage]. Influencers are important but it’s tough because they aren’t [equipped to provide] consistent coverage. So the ability to cover the White House is part of the metrics.”

The legacy outlets who have enjoyed, until now, prominent visibility and easy access to the White House press secretary, should expect less prominence, Axios reported.

“We want to balance disruption with responsibility,” the official told the publication. (Read more from “White House Will Decide Which Reporters Get Briefing Room Seats: Report” HERE)

ICE Arrests Another International Student As State Department Revokes 300 Foreign Student Visas

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a University of Minnesota (UMN) graduate student Thursday as the Department of State moved to revoke about 300 foreign student visas.

UMN authorities announced the ICE arrest occurred at an off-campus residence, calling the situation “deeply disturbing.” The Minnesota Daily vaguely identified the graduate student as an international student in the university’s Carlson School of Management.

“The University had no prior knowledge of this incident and did not share any information with federal authorities before it occurred,” university leadership said. They also offered mental health support to any member of the university distressed by the incident.

“Carlson School staff have been in close contact, monitoring the situation and helping connect the student with resources and support,” Dean Jamie Prenkert wrote, adding that “[i]n the current climate, detentions like these deeply affect our community.”

Trump’s Letter To Brutal Regime Provokes Accusations Of Causing ‘Breach Of Promises’

Iran’s president on Sunday rejected the idea of direct negotiations with the U.S. in the Islamic regime’s first public response to the letter President Donald Trump previously sent to the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“The response by the Supreme Leader to Trump’s letter was delivered to the U.S. contact in Oman by our brother Dr. Araghchi. In that response, direct negotiations have been rejected,” President Masoud Pezeshkian said. “But, regarding indirect talks, Iran has always been involved in such talks and the Supreme Leader has emphasized that indirect talks can still continue.” (Read more from “Trump’s Letter To Brutal Regime Provokes Accusations Of Causing ‘Breach Of Promises'” HERE)

President Trump Hits Zelensky With Stern Warning as He Threatens to Back Out of Rare Mineral Deal

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to back out of a critical minerals deal, warning the Ukrainian leader would face big problems if he did.

“He’s trying to back out of the rare earth deal and if he does that he’s got some problems, big, big problems,” Trump told reporters.

“He wants to be a member of NATO, but he’s never going to be a member of NATO. He understands that.” (Read more from “President Trump Hits Zelensky With Stern Warning as He Threatens to Back Out of Rare Mineral Deal” HERE)

War on Truth: Why ‘Science’ Keeps Changing — but the Bible Endures Forever

What we call “science” in Western culture has been weaponized for many decades to legitimize whatever narrative the powerful want to push.

This should be self-evident after the COVID-19 debacle, where nearly everything that was labeled a “conspiracy theory” turned out to be true, and nearly everything the powerful told us turned out to be false. Remember President Biden threatening us with a “winter of death” or promising that the shot would prevent contracting COVID?

But it goes back much further than that, and it isn’t always about following the money, although that’s a pretty reliable measure of who’s benefiting from any particular research study.

Now, in the “I didn’t see that coming” department, there was a recently published peer-reviewed medical journal article that criticizes corrupt medical journals and their corrupt peer-reviewed studies. Um, what?

Since virtually all the “science” that gets reported in the media — the “science” on which public policy is made and the “science” that subsequently affects our everyday lives in countless ways — tends to stem from peer-reviewed research in medical journals, this is a significant admission.

Obviously, our mainstream media has not reported it, but we can come back to that another day. For now, I want to focus on the result of the faulty assumption that “science” provides unassailable answers to any questions — much less life’s biggest searches for truth. Because for many decades now, the most unquestionable, absolutely carved-in-solid-rock “truth” from “science” is this: Everything evolved from something else, and we are all a product of nothing but random chance. Elon Musk Hands Out $1 Million Checks to Voters After Wisconsin Supreme Court Declined to Intervene

Elon Musk gave away $1 million checks to two Wisconsin voters despite massive backlash from critics and a lawsuit from the state’s attorney general ahead of a consequential Supreme Court election in the state.

The coveted checks went to two Wisconsin men who have both voted for and donated to GOP campaigns and have a lengthy history of supporting President Trump. Musk said that only “spokesmen” for an online petition against “activist” judges would be eligible for the million-dollar handouts.

Musk, wearing a cheese hat, used his time in Wisconsin to rally for Brad Schimel, a conservative politician running for a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat. He is backed by Trump, Musk and the DOGE head’s many support groups who have spent more than $20 million backing Schimel’s campaign.

Wisconsin is a highly contested battleground state, and liberal critics warned that Musk is backing Schimel so that he can influence the court. Many on the left are concerned about the state’s forthcoming redistricting, which could impact who has control over the House, which is currently held by a slim Republican majority.

“And if the [Wisconsin] Supreme Court is able to redraw the districts, they will gerrymander the district and deprive Wisconsin of two seats on the Republican side. Then they will try to stop all the government reforms we are getting done for you, the American people,” Musk said. White House Correspondents’ Association Cancels Comedian’s Performance After Making Anti-Trump Remarks

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) canceled a comedian’s performance scheduled for their annual dinner after she made controversial anti-Trump remarks. The decision comes amid growing scrutiny over the event’s tone and political bias, especially as the dinner has often served as a platform for comedians to target conservative figures.

WHCA President Eugene Daniels emailed members to announce that comedian Amber Ruffin’s performance would be canceled after a unanimous board decision. He hinted at the annual dinner’s attempt to rebrand the event to focus on journalism rather than political satire.

“At this consequential moment for journalism, I want to ensure the focus is not on the politics of division but entirely on awarding our colleagues for their outstanding work and providing scholarship and mentorship to the next generation of journalists,” Daniels said. “For the past couple of weeks, I have been planning a re-envisioning of our dinner tradition for this year. As the date nears, I will share more details of the plans in place to honor journalistic excellence and a robust, independent media covering the most powerful office in the world.”

The decision follows concerns White House Deputy Chief of Staff Taylor Budowich raised regarding comedian Ruffin’s history of criticizing Trump. In February, Ruffin remarked that “nobody wants” Trump at the upcoming April 26 dinner, and just last week, she told the Daily Beast that she intended to portray the Trump administration as a “bunch of murderers.” Despite these inflammatory statements, Ruffin disclosed that the WHCA had previously asked her to tone down her material for the event. Video Caught Democrat Openly Speaking About Strategies to Protest Trump’s Policies

A newly surfaced video captures Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) and other prominent Democrats in an unguarded moment, discussing their plans to protest President Donald Trump. The footage, which has sparked controversy, shows Dingell and her colleagues candidly strategizing about disrupting Trump’s appearances, revealing a level of animosity that many voters might find unsettling.

A video from a meeting at the Washtenaw County Democratic Party caught liberal politicians speaking candidly about ways they can protest Trump and his policies. The “Democratic Responses to Trump’s Attacks & Lessons Learned from 2024 MI House Races” meeting was intended to rally Democrats and coordinate efforts to counteract the Trump administration’s policies. However, Dingell openly spoke about tactics the party can use to oppose Trump and “every one of those damn conservative[s].”

“We need to make sure it’s in every one of those damn conservative, wherever they’re communicating, and we have to be the voices that are smart, targeted and effective, and fighting back. And the way we do it. We litigate. We legislate,” Dingell said. “We only need three votes, three Republican votes. I don’t know that we can ever get the person that’s closest to us, but he is chair of Ed and Labor, but we need to be targeting someone that may want to run for governor.” (Read more from “Video Caught Democrat Openly Speaking About Strategies to Protest Trump’s Policies” HERE)

Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services Allegedly Caught Handing Out Tax Filing Instructions to Illegal Aliens

With Tax Day a little more than two weeks away, Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services has been caught handing out flyers in New York City allegedly advising illegal migrants on how to get up to $14,000 in tax refunds from the IRS.

According to independent journalist Savanah Hernandez, the company’s representatives are handing out information outside the Roosevelt Hotel migrant shelter with tax filing tips showing illegal aliens how they can get thousands of dollars from the IRS based on how many children they claim to have.

Hernandez presented a flyer that seems to inform the migrants that they can get a $7,650 refund if they claim one child, $12,635 if they have two, and $14,255 for three children.

After Hernandez posted this video to X, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk noted that this sort of fraud is costing America billions and serving to attract illegals to this country.

“IRS refund fraud payments are one of several means used by the Democratic Party to attract and retain illegal immigrants in the USA. That’s why they are so opposed to @DOGE stopping this!” Musk wrote.

Trump ‘Very Angry’ With Putin, Threatens Tariffs on All Russian Oil

US President Donald Trump said Sunday he was “very angry, pissed off” with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, NBC reported, marking a sharp change of tone as Washington seeks to end the war in Ukraine.

NBC’s Kristen Welker said Trump had called her to express his anger over Putin questioning Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s future as a leader — something that Trump himself has done.

Welker, on her NBC show “Meet The Press” on Sunday, quoted directly from an early-morning telephone conversation with the president.

Trump said that “if Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault” then he would impose “secondary tariffs on all oil coming out of Russia.”

Welker said Trump told her “I was very angry, pissed off” over Putin’s recent comments about Zelensky’s credibility and talking about new leadership in Ukraine. (Read more from “Trump ‘Very Angry’ With Putin, Threatens Tariffs on All Russian Oil” HERE)
