Donald Trump Vows to ‘Solve North Korea’ Problem

Speaking from the Oval Office in an interview with the Financial Times, the US president gave China an ultimatum: “Well if China is not going to solve North Korea, we will. That is all I am telling you.”

In a separate interview with the publication, deputy White House national security adviser KT McFarland warned: “There is a real possibility that North Korea will be able to hit the US with a nuclear-armed missile by the end of the first Trump term.”

The US sees North Korea as its most pressing threat after former president Barack Obama warned Trump about the substantial advancements Pyongyang has made with their nuclear weapons and long-range missiles.

Trump confirmed he would be discussing the issue of North Korea with Chinese president Xi Jinping when he hosts the world leader at his resort this week.

Chaplains Tell Army to Stop Training That Targets Religious Beliefs

The Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty sent a letter last month to the Secretary of the Army about his predecessor. Former Secretary of the Army Eric K. Fanning signed an order that targeted Christian beliefs hours before he resigned.

Army Directive 2017-06 required the Army to train against “implicit or unconscious bias.”The directive threatens Army personnel who hold Christian beliefs, said the chaplains. They wrote to acting Secretary of the Army Robert M. Speer. While Fanning did not spell out what the bias is, the chaplains claim it is a way to target Army persons who have Biblical beliefs about sexuality.

Fanning held the title of the first openly gay service secretary.

Chaplain Ron Crews is the executive director for the Chaplain Alliance. Crews told CBN News that Fanning was very proud that he was the first homosexual to serve as a Secretary of the Army. Crews added that Fanning has been pushing his own agenda in the Army at the expense of war training.

“Everybody in the Army should believe there is a path forward for them. Readiness is getting the most out of the force,” Fanning told The Washington Times on Wednesday. “I don’t think opportunity and equality are political agendas. I think they’re important American values.”

The order does not increase military readiness, said Crews. It wastes valuable training time to push a political agenda.

The chaplains urged Speer to consider the threats the military faced daily. They added that “such training mandates … cannot … help our soldiers be better prepared for combat readiness.” Crews told CBN News he hopes Speer will repeal the order.

The Chaplain Alliance provides over 2,700 chaplains to the U.S. military and other agencies. Their website states that the group exists to make sure that chaplains can defend the freedom of religion and conscience that the Constitution guarantees. Undermining Parents, School Secretly Recruits Children for Gay-Straight Alliance Meetings

“We’re keeping it kind of on the down low because this is North Idaho,” school principal Mary Jensen said. In a recording obtained by Liberty Counsel, she admitted, “Kids who wanted to participate in the club did not necessarily want their parents to know.”

Faculty at Forrest M. Bird Charter School in Sandpoint, Idaho, secretly recruited students to join the school’s Gay-Straight Alliance. They started the group with help from local LGBT activists. Some of the secret meetings weren’t even held at the school.

Legal Violations

Two parents learned about the meetings when their child forgot lunch. The mother took lunch to the school and found her child at the meeting. They objected. Their child, “Student Doe,” has high-functioning autism and gender dysphoria. The school ignored their request.

In response, Liberty Counsel sent the school a letter, listing several ways the school had violated the law. The school refused to back down, so the parents withdrew their child from the school.

“It is outrageous that this school would intentionally undermine parental rights in this manner,” said Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver. “Parents have the fundamental right to know about and direct the activities and associations of their minor children.”

The school had no right to start the club, he said. It was “inappropriate” for school employees to lead and recruit for the GSA in their official roles. He argued that the school violated the state’s Code of Ethics for teachers. The code prohibits “using institutional privileges … for the promotion of political activities.”

The school posted statement on its website claiming it did not violate the law. According to a Liberty Counsel lawyer, the school defiantly asserted in a letter responding to the legal aid group. The school said it “will not comply with [the] demand” for its teachers to be present in a supervisory, rather than activist, capacity.” The school did say it will refrain from recruiting more students. However, it refuses to divulge the names of current student members to their parents. Liberty Counsel and its clients are looking at legal action.

The school believes it is helping kids by teaching them that identifying as transgender has no harmful effects. But according to the National Institutes of Health, as many as 94 percent of students questioning their gender identify with their biological gender by 18.

Liberty Counsel urges parents to contact the school’s board of directors. Parents should demand that the school board respect parental rights. The school staff who violated the Idaho Teacher Code of Ethics should be reprimanded. Parents have a fundamental right to direct the activities of their minor children.

The school’s parent/student handbook requires a permission slip for field trips. Anyone other than a parent who picks up a child must have a note. But the school does not require a note for a child to get LGBT propaganda

Jensen admitted on the recording that the faculty started the club. “The adults … we spent months trying to do this thing.”

Washington Post Caught in Big Bible-Bashing Lie, Tries to Quietly Overhaul Entire Piece

The Washington Post quietly rewrote a story about a Congressman using the Bible to bash poor people Friday, after a writer at the Federalist published a systematic break down of the piece that exposed major holes and mistakes in the story.

Caitlin Dewey’s initial write-up in the paper (which recently adopted the slogan “Democracy Dies In Darkness”) did not include a single quote from the Texas representative she basically accused of using the Bible to justify taking food from starving people. The story also incorrectly referred to “2 Thessalonians 3-10,” and wildly mischaracterized Rep. Jody Arrington’s statements on the verse.

While Arrington did reference 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat) in a discussion of food stamps, he did not, as the WaPo article suggested, use it to argue unemployed people should not be allowed to eat.

After Sean Davis pointed out these mistakes and others in a piece for the Federalist Friday, someone at The Washington Post went through and majorly reworked the story. In fact, it appears the stealth edits are a direct answer to his piece. The story now includes the full quote from Arrington and other adjustments, although the incorrect verse reference remains. Trump Drops the Hammer on ‘Cheating’ Trade Partners With Dual Executive Orders

President Donald Trump signed two executive orders Friday designed to crack down on trade partners taking advantage of the U.S.

The orders aim to identify the causes of the huge U.S. trade deficit, look into countries that are engaging in questionable trade practices, and strengthen America’s ability to punish countries that give their industries and businesses an unfair competitive advantage in international markets through unacceptable subsidies. Trump has repeatedly stated that he wants to bolster U.S. manufacturing create trade deals that work in America’s interests.

“The jobs and wealth have been stripped from our country,” Trump remarked at the time of the signing, “Voiceless Americans now have a voice in the White House. The theft of American prosperity will end. We are going to defend our industry and create a level playing field for the American worker. Today I am signing two executive orders that send this message loud and clear and that set the stage for the great revival of American manufacturing.”

The U.S. will “take necessary and lawful action to end” trade abuses, the president explained, adding, “We are going to get these bad trade deals straightened out.

The first order will give officials 90 days to create a comprehensive list of “every form of trade abuse and every non-reciprocal practice that now contributes” to the $500 billion U.S. trade deficit. Study: Only 4 Percent of Millennials Hold a ‘Biblical Worldview’

Four percent of millennials hold a biblical worldview, according to a recent study.

The American Culture and Faith Institute (ACFI) published results of a survey earlier this month. The survey measured the core beliefs of millennials compared to older generations.

The study shows that millennials hold more liberal views of things like socialism and same-sex marriage than older generations. But there’s another big difference. Millennials are much less likely to become conservative in the future.

While it’s normal for younger generations to hold liberal views, they drift to the right over time. Not so for millennials.

“Millennials are so far to the left-of-center” that “even a typical amount of repositioning” will leave them very liberal, says George Barna. It’s unlikely that even 10 percent will ever hold a biblical worldview, he says. Barna is the Executive Director of the ACFI and is cited in the study.

Millennials vs. Older Generations: Major Differences

ACFI conducted the study in February 2017. It measured responses from 1,000 millennials, that is, those under age 30.

Notable findings include:

Only 59 percent of millennials identify as Christian. This compares to 72 percent of adults from older generations.

Only 33 percent of millennials (one in three) are born again Christians.

Only twelve percent of millennials identify as conservative. Twenty-six percent are liberal. For adults
older than 30, conservatives outnumber liberals two to one.

Almost have (44 percent) of millennials prefer socialism over capitalism.

As many as 15 percent of millennials identify as LGBT. Only six percent of those over 30 identify as LGBT.

The only question more millennials than older adults held a biblical worldview on? Whether all people are good. Millennials are less likely to believe this than adults over 30. This lines up with the biblical concept of original sin and man’s fallen nature.

Worldview Development: Christians, Get Busy

What exactly is a worldview, anyway? “A comprehensive conception or apprehension of the world especially from a specific standpoint.” That’s according to Merriam-Webster.

Dictionary.com defines the the original German word, weltanschauung. “A comprehensive conception or image of the universe and of humanity’s relation to it.”

So how do people develop their worldviews? Barna says that parents are the most powerful influencers of worldview. And most often, a person’s worldview develops between 18 months and 13-years-old.

There will of course be exceptions to this rule. But in general, “the worldview a person possesses at age 13 is … the worldview they will die with.”

What does this mean for future Americans? “Millennials entering their prime childbearing years,” Barna notes. They will likely pass their current worldview to their children. Christians must take action if they want future generations to embrace a biblical worldview.

Christians will need to “step in and impact the spiritual well-being of our future adults,” he says.

Growing Trends

ACFI’s study on millennials’ worldview isn’t the first to reach these conclusions. Recently The Atlantic noted that people are leaving the church in large numbers. State Dept Refuses to Block Genocidal Palestinian Terrorist From Entering the United States

A convicted Palestinian terrorist who has previously called for the use of a nuclear bomb against Israel is being allowed to enter the United States next week as part of a Palestinian delegation coming into the country for Israel-Palestinian talks.

Rex Tillerson’s State Department will give a free pass to Jibril Rajoub, the government agency confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon Thursday evening.

As a young man, Rajoub was sentenced to life in prison after hurling a grenade at an Israeli bus in the city of Hebron. Years later, he was freed as part of a prisoner exchange deal. But shortly thereafter, Rajoub was hauled away to prison after allegedly reengaging in jihadi activities.

After his second stint in prison, Rajoub joined up with a Fatah terror cell in the disputed territories. Rajoub was deported to Lebanon after leading operations in the first intifada, a bloody Palestinian terror campaign responsible for thousands of lives lost. But he would come back for good to the Palestinian territories in the mid-90s as Yasser Arafat’s security adviser.

Less than three years ago, Rajoub promised “in the name of Allah” that a Palestinian government would commit a nuclear holocaust against Israel if they were ever granted nuclear weapons. He added during the television interview: “We the Palestinians are a source of concern for Israel. We are in this country, and this country is ours. They are our enemy and our battle is against them.”

In 2015, on state television, Rajoub encouraged fellow Palestinians to slaughter Israelis, expressing gratitude for “whoever confronts, fights or dies as a Martyr.”

And just a couple of weeks ago, Rajoub celebrated International Women’s Day by honoring female suicide bombers responsible for the murder of countless innocents.

In a letter sent to Secretary Tillerson this week, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) strongly advised against Rajoub being allowed to enter the country, noting he has “promoted Palestinian terror for years and most actively promoted terror during the 2015-2016 terror wave, in which 40 people were murdered and over 500 were wounded.”

If he enters the United States, PMW has called upon the U.S. to prosecute him for “incitement to murder American citizens.” Several Americans have been killed in Palestinian terror campaigns that Rajoub may have had his hand in, the organization claims.

Despite all of the public evidence documenting Rajoub’s advocacy for genocidal terror, Tillerson’s State Department has taken to defending the Palestinian leader.

“The U.S. government does not endorse every statement Mr. Rajoub has made, but he has long been involved in Middle East peace efforts, and has publicly supported a peaceful, non-violent solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” a State official told the Washington Free Beacon.

“Perhaps a man who threw a grenade at a bus, sentenced to life, and then has been re-arrested multiple times after subsequent early releases hasn’t really reformed?” said Dr. Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute, in a piece for Commentary Magazine questioning Tillerson’s decision to let Rajoub enter the country. “Perhaps Rajoub’s vehement opposition as head of the Palestinian Olympic Committee to a moment of silence for the Israeli athletes murdered during the 1972 Munich Olympics suggests that he really hasn’t embraced the spirit of peace or truly rejected terrorism?”

Rubin continues, calling the decision an “insult to every American victim of terrorism.”

Secretary Rex Tillerson is allowing a man with genocidal ambitions, who has created countless victims from his terror campaigns, into the country. As someone who has the complete authority to block Rajoub’s entry, why Tillerson is giving this terrorist a free pass is puzzling. So It’s Come to This: A Feminist Is Calling for Female Slavery

For as long as I’ve been politically aware, the word “feminism” has evoked feelings of divisiveness, nastiness, and misandry. It’s at the extreme end of politically loaded words, producing strong reactions in anyone who hears it. For some, it is a rallying cry of justice and equality; for others, it is hatred made flesh. Why should this be?

My mother, who grew up in the 1960s, feminism’s heyday, remains a self-described feminist and insists that the term means only that women should have the same rights as men. Indeed, the Oxford English Dictionary defines the word thus: “The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.”

What’s so objectionable about that? By this definition, everyone I know is a feminist, myself included. What sort of backward chauvinist would argue that women shouldn’t have the same rights as men?

The answer, apparently, is Sarrah Le Marquand, an Australian feminist and the editor-in-chief of “Stellar” magazine. In a piece penned for Sydney’s “Daily Telegraph,” Le Marquand argues that female parents of school-aged children should be legally required to enter the workforce and get a job.

That’s right: a philosophy that once demanded more rights for women now demands more restrictions. Men are free to work or to choose to stay home with their children. Women should be denied that choice, for the good of womankind. The ultimate goal of feminism is for women to have no choices except for those permitted them by society’s elites.

Le Marquand has a snappy retort to these objections. She parries accusations that she is against female choice by… openly admitting that she doesn’t care about female choice. Clever. She writes:

“Only when the tiresome and completely unfounded claim that ‘feminism is about choice’ is dead and buried (it’s not about choice, it’s about equality) will we consign restrictive gender stereotypes to history.”

This position is so staggeringly self-contradictory and antithetical to the stated aims of traditional feminism that it practically leaves one at a loss for words. Fortunately, we already have a word for legally compelling someone to work against her will. At the risk of triggering you, here it is: Slavery. One cannot help but be reminded of George Orwell’s chilling slogan of totalitarianism: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why feminism has become so toxic a term in modern discourse. This is why it’s hard to take feminism seriously at all, along with those intellectual women who gather in seminars to giggle about whether men, as a gender, are obsolete, in decline, and just plain unnecessary.

To the extent that there remains a philosophy that stresses equal rights as one of its primary tenets, that is blind to gender, as well as to color or creed, and that does not gin up its followers by engaging in identity politics, it has a different, perhaps less familiar name: libertarianism.

To the libertarian, women as well as men should be free to live and prosper as they choose, without interference from aggressors of either gender. The law should give no preference to one group of people over another, for we were all born with the same rights, rights inherent to our humanity. To the libertarian, you should be able to live the life you choose. And we would never dream of making you work rather than take care of your kids. While Trump Attacks Conservatives, His Immigration Agenda Burns

The biggest news story of the week is not that President Trump is attacking conservatives for wanting to uphold his campaign promise and protect him from owning a more insolvent version of Obamacare. The biggest story is that he is not attacking the establishment and Senate appropriators for preemptively negotiating away his leverage by promising Chuck Schumer there won’t be funding for the border wall in the April budget.

President capitulating on border funding

One of the few good things that has come from this nascent administration is its discretionary budget proposal for FY 2017 and FY 2018. The budget bill for the remainder of the fiscal year, which comes due on April 28, presents the president with his only opportunity to force through critical policy changes and his spending priorities. The president has asked for immediate supplemental funds for the border wall and for rebuilding the military in exchange for $18 billion in cuts to the non-defense bureaucracies. Yet, as we noted earlier this week, Senate Republicans already forged a deal to fund Planned Parenthood, refugee resettlement, and the extra spending for the bureaucracies…but not for the border wall!

Why isn’t the president demanding an immediate course correction? The border wall is the most foundational promise of Trump’s campaign, yet he has nothing to say when liberal Republicans negotiate away his leverage. The more the border wall funding is delayed, the less likely it will ever get done. What gives?

Refusing to fight for moratorium

Meanwhile, the maniacal courts continue to assault national sovereignty. On Wednesday, the radical judge in Hawaii upgraded his temporary restraining order on the immigration moratorium to a preliminary injunction. Unfortunately, this administration refuses to plow ahead with the moratorium and its lawyers are capitulating to the courts, even though courts have no jurisdiction over this issue and there was no legitimate case or controversy to rule on. A district judge cannot place a nationwide injunction on the lack of issuance of visas to hypothetical prospective immigrants or travelers.

There is a term for this obsequious behavior from the White House, widely popularized by some pro-Trump social media outlets, and it begins with a C.

Welcome to sanctuary nation

We haven’t heard the last from the courts, either. The Seattle mayor is also suing the administration for cutting off funding to lawless sanctuary cities. Mayor Ed Murray filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington (the court where James Robart sits) claiming that the federal government cannot cut off funding despite the jurisdiction’s violation of federal law and national sovereignty. I’ve already explained that their anti-coercion federalism argument is absurd, but there is no doubt the courts will place a nationwide injunction on this order and declare America a sanctuary nation. The courts are insane and have already issued similar rulings.

Which is why it’s so important to include in the funding bill a provision denying Justice Department grants to lawless jurisdictions. Why is the president not making the case, and why is he groveling before the courts when the courts are engaging in civil disobedience?

Make refugee resettlement great again

Worse, as the Huffington Post reported, the State Department has reset the refugee caps to near-Obama levels and is bringing in 900 refuges per week. This is completely gratuitous, even for one who wants to abide by the lawless court decision.

Obsessing with Palestinian “peace” and allowing terrorist travel

Meanwhile, the State Department is issuing a visa to Palestinian terrorist Jibril Rajoub to participate in peace talks! Aside from the fact that this action reveals the administration is just as obsessed with the two-state solution as the Obama administration, the issuance of such a visa violates federal law (INA Sec. 212(a)(2)(B)), which bars entry to anyone associated with terrorists or who has espoused support for terrorism.

What happened to putting Americans first?

Moreover, why is he not demanding that the House and Senate vote on all his immigration promises – from halting the Central American surge to the Davis-Oliver interior enforcement bill? Why isn’t he demanding that they pay for the wall by cutting off remittances to Mexico and refundable tax credits for illegal aliens, including the “DACA” amnesty he continues to facilitate?

Sure, constitutionally speaking, Congress sets the agenda, but politically, the president sets the agenda when his party controls Congress. And if Trump has the time and moxie to go after conservatives on health care, why is he not subjecting the establishment to his Twitter treatment as it relates to the budget, immigration, and his most foundational promises?

Yet instead of harnessing the outrage from the Rockville rape to protect our sovereignty, DHS Secretary John Kelly won’t stop talking about “Dreamers” as if they are covered by a legitimate statute. He promised Democrats on Wednesday that he would not deport any “Dreamer” without a criminal record. Not only is it against the law to categorically exempt them from deportation, but the Rockville rape demonstrated that there are indeed violent ones who have never previously offended.

It is precisely the promise of “Dream” amnesty that has led to the disastrous border surge from Central America. Furthermore, forget about deportations, why is DHS handing out affirmative benefits to new applicants every week? This is patently unconstitutional, as well as a violation of our sovereignty and a drain on taxpayers. Not to mention a violation of another campaign promise.

The Only ‘Deal’ Trump Can Get With the Palestinians Is a Bad Deal

Over the past few weeks, it has become quite clear that President Trump wants a “deal” between Israel and the Palestinians. However, for a president who claims to be an unapologetic supporter of Israel, the only deal he can get right now will be a bad deal; one that threatens the security and sovereignty of the Jewish state. The realities on the ground necessarily mean that a deal that secures a state for the Palestinians — with their current leadership structure — will result in war, death, and destruction.

Right now, Palestinian society is rotten to its core. No place on earth is more anti-Semitic than the territories controlled by Palestinians. Nonetheless, the president of the United States appears to be pushing the same reckless initiative that his predecessors insisted upon: pursuing a state for a national movement that continues to prioritize destruction, killing, indoctrination, and Jew-hatred above all else.

Inspired by Trump’s calls for a deal above all else, Israel’s Arab neighbors (most of which do not recognize Israel’s existence) have taken to demanding Palestinian statehood. The president has even suggested a Middle East peace summit that would bring Israel and its Arab neighbors together. The result of such a summit would be all too predictable. Israel would be more than willing to forgive past grievances and live in peace with its Arab neighbors. The Arab countries — which have tried, unsuccessfully, to eliminate Israel several times over the past 70 years — on the other hand, would likely continue to demand that Israel recognize Palestinian statehood and sacrifice its security.

Israel is a free, democratic country that in less than a century has turned into a robust society that has contributed to the betterment of the world as a whole. Israel’s innovations and progress in science, technology, and other fields have saved countless lives and improved the quality of life for millions, if not billions, of people.

Israel has made painful sacrifices for the hopes of peace, only to come up short every time.

In 2002, President George W. Bush urged the two sides to come up with a two-state solution. Two years later, Israel followed suit and completely disengaged from the Gaza Strip, giving the land free of charge to the Palestinians. Today, Gaza is a terror hotbed ruled by a group whose only mission is to conquer Israel. About every two years, Hamas and Israel go to war, and thousands of people are killed in the carnage.

The Palestinian national movement remains a culture stuck in its first gear as a reaction to the Zionist movement. Too many Palestinians and their leaders unsurprisingly remain grossly anti-Semitic and contribute very little to the world other than improving on how to carry out more effective mass casualty terror attacks. There are many decent, hard-working Palestinian people, but as poll after poll shows, most would rather live under Judenrein Islamic tyranny than become part of our interconnected world. The Palestinians also elected Hamas, a terrorist group that has sworn to wipe out the Jews and Israel. Moreover, the Palestinians elected Mahmoud Abbas, a Holocaust denier who incentivizes terrorist attacks and anti-Semitic bigotry. Abbas is the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), a terrorist group that has carried out thousands of attacks over the past few decades. A two-state solution gives Hamas and Abbas a permanent seat at the table.

Israel already faces countless enemies on its borders: ISIS, Hezbollah, the Syrian regime, Iranian special forces, and other jihadi outfits. They have set up shop just outside of the country. Israel currently at least has the ability to conduct advanced surveillance on the Palestinian entities. If the Palestinian regimes are given a state of their own, this will significantly hamper Israel’s ability to protect itself from Palestinian terror.

The Palestinians are not ready for a state. It may take decades for the Palestinian culture to evolve to the point where they are ready to recognize their neighbor’s sovereignty, but that is not Israel’s fault. Imposing upon Israel the need to deliver a state to a terror-supporting, Jew-hating neighbor does a disservice to our greatest Middle East ally.
